Room was clean and spacious also was on the lake side... great view from my room, I also got the meal vouchers which was nice you could use it either if there restaurant and the food was good and loved the cappuccinos...that's right plural...I drink a lot of coffee..They also provide you with a tuk tuk to take you to to Sukhumvit Rd any time you needed it which made it a very short walk to the BTS station..It's very close to a lot of the action but without all the noise, staff was really friendly and helpful..it also had a pool, gym, sauna. I would definitely stay again.

Shama Lakeview Asoke was a very nice stay for me, and I especially enjoyed how kind the staff were. I stayed in a 2-bedroom that had a great view, clean, and quality. P’Art and P’Mew were very thorough and helpful about my reservation and maintenance updates the hotel were planning to do during my stay. They even gave a complimentary early check in!

This hotel is a 13-15 minute walk from Asok station, and I really liked staying in an area where there wasn’t a lot of noise (I am a light sleeper). I would definitely stay here again the next time I visit Bangkok!

The staff were very friendly, the location was convenient to terminal 21, 7-11, restaurants, convenient stores and street vendors! We stayed in a 2 bdrm, 2 bathroom. The reason for the 4 stars was because the showers were sort of awkward, and the glass to stand behind the showers didn’t cover the entire shower so the waters were splashing everywhere. The shower/bath-tube in the master bedroom was really high off the floor and the way it was designed also caused water to over flow on to the floor, so we just used didn’t use it. Overall, would definitely stay again, hoping they fix the shower :)

Clean, quiet and spacious room. Staff was helpful and friendly.

The hotel is within walking distance (10 min) from Sukhumvit MRT, Asoke BTS and shopping mall Terminal 21 where the food court offers a variety of cheap and delicious meals until 10pm. The hotel has a free shuttle to get you closer to the MRT if needed but it took us less time walking the distance than waiting for the shuttle.

Lots of option for street food during the day by either checking the food stalls lining the street or the local day market on your way to the MRT/BTS. For late night snacks, there is a Lawson in the lobby open 24/7, a 7-Eleven across the street and Foodland also open 24h.

Thai massage and more restaurants available in the street.

The breakfast at the hotel is really Bad. The food is breakfast bar selection is two limited. The coffee shop staff did a bad job, my waiter gave the wrong food she gave my plate to someone else and just took it off that table and brought it to me.

We stayed here for 7 nights for an Expo held at the Queen SiriKit Convention Centre. The hotel provided free tuk tuk shuttles daily to and from the venue. There were great local restaurants with authentic Thai food on the streets nearby and wonderful local Thai massage for after a long day at the Expo. The hotel and the staff were just fantastic. I’ll be back again next year.

We had a really great experience with The Coffee House on the ground floor. The food was absolutely delicious, and we loved that the hotel breakfast was served there. It was a definite highlight of our stay.

The staff were a mixed bag but mostly helpful. The room service cleaners did a decent job, and the maintenance team was quick to fix a couple of small issues we had during our visit.

Unfortunately, the overall cleanliness of the room itself was a big letdown. It just wasn't up to standard. When we moved a drawer, we found clothing left behind by a previous guest. The space under the beds was also pretty filthy and clearly hadn't been cleaned in a while. A small thing, but even the shower gel provided was very poor quality and felt cheap.

We wanted to love our stay, but the state of the room made it difficult.

This Hotel was ranked 5 star. I would rate the gym, pool, bed and cleanliness 5 star. However, the Bathroom looked more like a motel style bathroom with the shower head in a small bathtub with water pressure very week. 3 star for bathroom. and everything else was 4 star. Some service people where excellent and some others questionable. the reception often seemed bothered when we ask them to call a taxi and one person even asked me to get the app to order my own taxi. Overall rating 7.5 on 10. It should not be considered a 5 star. but it was a good quality/price hotel.

ROOM: Apartment-style w/ cooktop, fridge, microwave, toaster, washer/dryer, closet w. ironing board & iron, table and desk. WiFi adequate but not 100%. Room was clean but a decade or two old. AC adequate but the air in the room stayed pretty damp (Thailand!). Spacious. No view - looking at a wall and other hotel rooms. Balcony locked, so the \"lake view\" in the title is not real (at least for my room it wasn't!). King bed was good. Water pressure and temp. in bath/shower was not great.

HOTEL: Friendly check-in/-out, coffee shop and convenience store on-site, pool is lovely. Pick-up service to/from airport totally worth it.

LOCATION: Walking distance to Asok & Sukhumvit stations, and many malls/bars/restos/etc. The walk from the stations to the hotel is on a typical Bangkok side-street, so inconsistent sidewalks, garbage, etc. 24-hour grocery store about 5 minutes' walk.

Spent 5 nights here, probably the best places I could’ve picked to stay while in Bangkok! Room was very clean, I didn’t spot a speck of dust at all. Housekeeping cleaned and made up the room everyday, front desk was super duper helpful with everything we needed.

They also have frequent shuttle service to-and-fro the main road, Asok and Suhkumvit train stations accessible within 5-10 mins walking distance.

Convenience store and diner available on ground floor. They also have a decent full sized gym, biggest I’ve seen in a hotel, at one point there had to be at least 8 people in the gym but you still didn’t need to share equipment.

Only complain was the pillow was wayyyy to thin and soft, but everything else during our stay was pleasant!

Best hotel we've stayed in yet in Bangkok, my Wife complained the road by the lake was noisy at night but I was ok, nice view of the lake from the 29th floor, staff were excellent, The Coffee Club on the ground floor had great food & drinks, we used it everyday, the bath would have benefitted from a screen or shower curtain, the room facilities were excellent & modern, the pool area good for in the city on, I think, the 7th floor. Very nearby to Sukhumvit & Spoke station. We will be returning for another 4 nights following our stay in Krabi before returning home. Highly recommended.

So well situated. Being on a quietish soi while located near one of Bangkok busiest intersections. Access to mrt (metro) and bts (skytrain) is made easy with tuk-tuk shuttle to the top of street. From there, most of Bangkok's entertainment is at walking distance. The staff is welcoming and professional. Two restaurants and a convenience store on site will certainly come in handy for any last minute purchases or cravings. We've already returned there for vacations. We believe you will too.

A relaxing stay at Shama lakeview

Had a lovely stay. The hotel and hotels.com were wonderful helping me change and refund a none refundable booking. As always, the staff is very friendly and gives high level of customer service. I stayed in both buildings, A and B. From building A you have great views of the lake and skyline of Bangkok, but if you are sound sensitive, opt for B. Bangkok is a lively city with lots of noice. Wi-fi was very good, had digital meetings and streamed a few tv-shows. Without any lagging. Used the small gym and was sufficient for me. They have a ping-pong table as well. The pool size vice is good but shallow. The hotel start to show some wear and tear. If I have to complain of something, it will be the breakfast buffe. The option in Coffee club is better if you prefer an English like breakfast. There also is a convenient store in the hotel. Easy access to shopping and rail systems. I use the app GRAB or Bolt for taxi rides. If you are daring take a backseat of a scooter. Pick-up point outside the hotel. Best with the hotel is the friendly staff

Wonderful staff and easy access to transportation. Shuttle was very helpful however messages for pick up were received in an unpredictable amount of time and therefore not always useful. It was faster to walk. There are a large number of good local dining options if you look. Massage across the street (gold & brown sign) was quite good. Mary's laundry was excellent

The night receptionist weren’t that friendly but the receptionist that checked us out was being professional and lovely.

We checked in at 10.30 pm after long day from travelling.
Staff weren’t prepared, they didn’t check on our booking details that we booked through Expedia VIP eligible room upgrade and that didn’t get offered. They gave us room in building B, which is an old building. The room was damp and the aircon wasn’t cool. We had to ask them to give us a new room and I had to mention my Gold VIP upgrade and that’s when they checked my booking details. The reception managers weren’t that friendly but still resolved the issues that we had including Expedia Perks on drinks.
We love the shuttle bus service, picking up and dropping off otherwise this wouldn’t be a good trip at all as it’s quite a distance to walk on a busy and narrow road to BTS.
The house keeper is amazing.

Vip upgrade was nice upon check in. Major flaw on this trip was TV was not working during my 4 days stay.

Apparently the hotel switched the service provider for television channels. During my 6 nights stay, TV was on and off for the entire time. English cable channels (news, and sports) were not working at all. I had engineer come to my room to try to fix the issue, but the next morning the problem persisted. After 3 days of going back and forth, I just gave up, and decided not to watch TV altogether.

Another issue was the washing machine. Door got stuck, and I couldn't take our the laundry. Engineer came in to forcefully open by taking out the front door... All taking about an hour to take out the door and left the parts to fix next day....

Front office staff were very nice and friendly as well as the concierge. Hotel itself is becoming old with dirty carpets, and stains on sofa.

Area around the hotel is pretty average. 3 massage places to relax just in front of hotel, 24 hour food mart just as short walk from the hotel. Lawsons just downstairs, and coffee club.

If they just could fix the cable TV reception, few other hardware such as the carpet and sofa, I would have rated the hotel much higher.

Their foot was outstanding. The little sandwhich shop off the lobby was great. The hotel restaurant was horrible. waited 45 mins for a sandwhich and when we asked about it they had not even started. We were only 2 people and their were 4 people total in the placed. The pool needs easier access. Never did find the hot tub. People were great.

Solid choice close to Benjakitti park

The hotel is a bit dated but offers a lot of space. My room had a washing machine with dryer function, full kitchen, and a seating area. It is close to Benjakitti park and has many small shops and restaurants nearby. The breakfast was very good. Good deal for the money. The only downside was that there was heavy noise from a garage remodel. My first room should have never been assigned. The walls were shaking from the drilling. I asked to be moved. It took an hour, and room was quiet.

Excellent staff and location. Provides shuttle service to Ashok BTS station on a need basis. From there one can take BTS or MRT to everywhere in the city. Has local eateries around the hotel as well as 24 hour Foodland for groceries as well as coffee shop for quick food. Also have 3 massage parlors just in front of the hotel.

Hotel has great gym, sauna, and decent swimming pool to relax. From my experience, this hotel has everything you would want from a Bankgok hotel; great location, great staff, and clean rooms.

For Expedia VIP members, they also recognize your status by giving you an upgrade room upon check in.

I am a picky traveler, and I would return back to Shama Lakerview.

Loved our 4 nights here, staff are wonderful, the facilities are great, and it’s close to the Sky Train. Our room had a kitchen, laundry and separate lounge area. Awesome views from the 29th floor! Hotel has a gym, pool, restaurant, 7-11 and Coffee Club downstairs. The concierge team do a good job of looking after you too. Highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay in Bangkok.
