The room was very small but clean and simple. Breakfast had no vegetable salads and lots of dairy and cut meat. No hot eggs - only hard boiled. I feel it was very expensive for what I got. Of course the location is great and it included parking.

I can say all the standard things, but here is the most important one. I was staying there on the day when the most recent conflict started, and I was anxious about canceling my stay and catching the train home while they were still running. The manager on duty did her best to reassure me, quickly processed my cancelation and gave me a refund for the unused night. It was very helpful on a very difficult day.

We live in Israel and needed to be in Jerusalem overnight. This was a great time to stay here. The room was a bit small but for my wife and I it wasn’t a problem. It was a very comfortable experience and the breakfast and the staff was wonderful.

We couldn't of picked a better hotel to stay in all of Jerusalem! The staff and amenities were amazing and location is ideal - just a few steps from the Holy City - NO OTHER HOTEL IS AS CLOSE! I can honestly tell you that I will continue to stay at the Notre Dame in Jerusalem - every time I visit Jerusalem :)

Perfect Hotel for Exploring Jerusalem

The hotel’s location is perfect for exploring the Old City and nice shopping as well. We felt very safe around the neighborhood. It’s directly across street from a tram stop. There is a beautiful chapel with daily mass. Guests have access to the rooftop lookout for amazing views of the whole Jerusalem. The rooftop Wine and Cheese restaurant offers great food in a sophisticated setting with great views. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Jerusalem!

Abeer at the front desk was and is super amazing as was Aberdeen and the entire staff as well as the room staff and the Director, this hotel is hotel heaven!! The most wonderful and accommodating people ever!! The food staff were also incredible and all food was absolutely delicious at the buffets and my favorite in all the world was the golden potatoes!!!
I loved my room and I loved my balcony and the best thing ever was no tv so I had all my husbands attention!!

Very expensive hotel for bad quality services. The beds was twins size and very old which no so good so a couple. As well the weather in Jerusalem is very too hot in this season and the room services all the time they turned of the fan, bc the A/C doesn't work very well. The bathroom lights were some broken. It was over all good. Service and breakfast and the cafe was great. I was disappointed in the service at the roof top restaurant. They do not like solo travelers and I felt very disrespected to the point of feeling humiliated the 2 times I attempted to get a table. They just have no time For a single travelor. This place is a disaster. I don’t understand how this attitude is promoted at a religious residence. The only other problem was my room key kept getting demagnetized. Very frustrating. Location great. I was there during Holy Week and no one at the desk knew anything about the traditional services offered at the basilica of the Holy Sepulcher which I found very strange. Good at breakfast and the first floor cafe was great as well as the service.

Our stay started off a bit rocky as no one was there to check us in when we arrived in the night. However, the management did everything they could to make up for it for the rest of our stay. I did not realize that they did not have televisions in every room and they accommodated us and relocated us to a room with a TV. We were even able to get breakfast boxes packed for us when we had to leave at 5:30am for a tour. The room was a bit cold for us so we had to turn the A/c to the heating setting but I guess that was because of the time of year and our Caribbean blood :-D

The staff were friendly and helpful, and offered good service. The room is as what you see in the photos. It is comfortable and clean. The bathroom is a little old but everything works fine, with a good shower with hot water. The buffet breakfast is nice. The food in Allegro is very good. The location is excellent, as it is right next to the New Gate of the Old City. Overall, we had a great stay and would recommend Notre Dame Center to anyone wishing to stay in Jerusalem.

The hotel was convenient- right outside the New Gate. The hotel has a rooftop view of Jerusalem that was spectacular. We were not there during a high tourist season, so times for things were not as stated on the hotel info sheet- i.e. bistro.
They let us check our bags upon check out so that we could walk around the city.
It is a very impressive building and a great bargain.

Great location across from Old City at New Gate. Historic building which has been completely renovated. Terrace was Exceptional. Large modern bath with shower.
Could use an in room TV.
Allegro restaurant was very good as was Cheese and Wine restaurant. Fabulous rooftop deck.
Wael in the dining room was very cordial, a true gentleman and made our stay extermely pleasant.

Beautiful hotel in a perfect location. The hotel is rich in history and offers everything you need. We had 2 single beds. The beds themselves are disappointing. For the reputation of the hotel one would expect a better quality bed and matress. The duvets are small so if you a bigger person you will struggle. The buffets served for lunch and dinner are ok but unimpressive. I would say same as 3 star quality. But efficient and the staff are very friendly. Rooftop views are amazing.

Location was great. Highly visited hotel. Many spoke highly of the place. However, it is very much still decorated like a convent--even in the bedrooms on the hotel side. Some lights were out in the hallway leaving a very dark passageway to the room. Most of the staff was friendly and always helpful. There were a few rude staff members. The breakfast buffet was not very good--questionable smell and taste. The restaurant, however, was delicious and reasonably priced.

I wouldn't recommend booking here if you are not travelling as part of a tour group. We booked here individually and were then when they were overbooked were bumped to another lesser quality hotel 3.5km away with no views etc. The only compensation offered was a free dinner for us but it didn't really compensate us enough given that it was their mistake in overbooking. Tour groups seem to get priority here.

Our week’s stay at Notre Dame Jerusalem

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for a week.We were given a spacious room with an en suite bathroom and a lovely big balcony overlooking the old city.I must mention the attentive staff at breakfast who would offer me fruit to take up to our room as my husband became unwell and unable to come down. Also a very special mention to Belad ,a young lass who cleaned our room so consistently and thoroughly every day. We had the pleasure of meeting Mr Barakat ,the hotel manager who proved to be a good listener and very understanding when a particular matter of theft at a checkpoint happened to us.The Notre Dame is a very good hotel indeed.

I was told that my reservation was no longer valid as they had overbooked the hotel... 6 days prior to my stay!

When I asked if I could get a refund I was just told they would put me up in another hotel (of their choosing) None of the options sounded good to me so I asked for a refund... So far no harm no foul. But then...Then radio Silence. I emailed them every day for 5 days in a row with no response.

I had to land in Jerusalem. Go to the Hotel. Demand a refund at the front desk, and then find a new hotel while sitting in the lobby of the Notre Dame. All I needed was someone to confirm I was able to get a refund and things would have been fine, but instead I had to fly across the world unsure if I'd have a hotel when I got there.

They get a slight bump because they paid for my cab to get to my new hotel. I'd love to say I know how the place is for but I didn't get to stay there. Just beware, just because you have a reservation doesn't mean you have a room.

The hotel is awesome. Has professional, friendly staff, clean rooms, and comfy beds.

I had dinner upstairs at their balcony restaurant. I almost didn't go because of some negative reviews regarding service and food. However, I'm glad I went up because the service was excellent and my steak satisfied this Texan (which is hard to do). I then went out on the balcony and all I can say is WOW! What a view. It was very emotional for me, after walking through the old city that day and seeing it at night.

So, don't believe any negative reviews. At least not now. Service and food were great.

Outstanding service and perfect location for your pilgrimage to the Holy Land. It's located across from the New Gate and a short 10 min walk to the Holy Sepulcher. The staff was wonderful and the restaurants offered a terrific menu as well as an amazing view of Jerusalem.
From a spiritual standpoint, we were able to attend mass everyday at the chapel and it was a perfect way to reflect on our day.

This property is in a great location on the edge of the old city and within walking distance of all the main sights. The rooms were small but clean and comfortable. The rooftop restaurant is lovely. Arrived on my grandmother's birthday after 6 hours of traveling and was laughed at when we told reception we were there to check in. While we were there before check in time, this should not be the immediate reaction of reception staff. The room is mediocre with beds that are as a hard as a rock. The one plus of the hotel is the terrace our room had. When checking out, I went to the desk and had to ask to be checked out before anyone would even address me. Wally, the man who laughed upon check in and ignored me during check out then didn't even offer a print out of my bill to me. When I asked for one he asked if I 'really needed it.' Quality of customer service is definitely subpar and the room is just okay. Not very good value for money

The hotel is confortable and it's amazingly located. But the service is not good, rude reception and managers. Asked for a invoice since was a business trip, they refused to give one saying the hotel has been prepaid on hotels.com, all other hotels i've stayed gave.me an invoice without any issue. The breakfast is super unhealthy, full of meat and unhealthy options. No great choice of fresh fruits or other healthier alternatives.
