This place is misleading and poorly maintained. It looks nothing like the photos shown on Expedia.

I specifically booked a non-smoking room, but it was clearly a smoking room. The smell was overwhelming—so strong that all of my clothes and belongings ended up smelling like smoke after just one night.

Cleanliness was a serious issue. There was visible dust on the chair and even trash left under it, which made it obvious the room hadn’t been properly cleaned. The bedsheets didn’t feel fresh and seemed reused, which was honestly unacceptable.

Basic amenities were also missing—there was no soap provided, and the shower gel dispenser on the wall was completely empty.

I understand this was a budget stay, but this experience went far beyond what should be acceptable at any price point. This is essentially a motel being advertised as something much better.

I take responsibility for choosing this place, but I’m leaving this review so others can avoid the same mistake.

Disappointing experience – Facilities closed without notice
I planned a specific "wellness retreat" weekend, choosing this hotel specifically for the indoor pool and sauna facilities to complement my trip to the Saratoga Spa State Park. Unfortunately, the entire experience was a major disappointment.
The Main Issues:
Lack of Communication: All wellness facilities (pool, sauna) and the on-site restaurant were closed for renovation. Neither the hotel website nor Expedia (where I booked) provided any notice of these closures. Having no access to the amenities I specifically paid for was incredibly frustrating.
Room Quality: The room was clearly mid-renovation; the smell of fresh paint was overwhelming and "stunk" up the space. To make matters worse, the plumbing in the sink was not functioning properly.
Location & Dining: Because the hotel restaurant was closed and a nearby dining option had relocated, we had to drive everywhere. Had I known the hotel was effectively a construction zone, I would have booked a stay in downtown Saratoga to at least enjoy the walkability.
Verdict:
I understand that renovations are necessary, but the complete lack of transparency regarding closed amenities is unacceptable. Between the non-functional plumbing and the strong chemical odors, this was far from the relaxing getaway I had envisioned. I cannot recommend staying here until the work is fully completed and management improves their communication with guests.

The motel was fairly empty, which is never a good sign around Christmas time. The place was clean and comfortable. However, it was thin on amenities. We were told that hot tub was broken at check in and would not be operable. The one reason we picked it so we could hang in tub. The shower head is a paradox—head is size of a dinner plate yet it produced smallest amount of water. Not sure how possible. The price was low so what did expect. With some love and care, this motel could sparkle.

The initial room that we checked in into was very dirty with a refrigerator that still had leftover food in it. The room also had a very disgusting smell that signified the room has not been cleaned properly. Breakfast had minimal food, and every single time I went to breakfast, I was monitored over by the staff of how much food I was taking. There were only two towels provided and no toiletries. The pool was not heated at all.And the hot top was barely warm and did not turn on after pressing the button.

I selected a room that was the "motel" part of the complex. Totally my fault.. The room was clean, the beds very comfortable. Having folks parking right outside our door was a little disconcerting, but again, my fault. More towels would be nice. The breakfast was good. The office staff polite and welcoming. We did not use the pool/spa. Will definitely stay there again. Very convenient location.

Checked in and entered first room to find cigarette burns and brown streaks(?) on the comforters, along with spiders in every corner of the room. Went back to lobby and requested a new room, the next one was even WORSE! Black mold all over the curtains and floor and bugs all over again! We did not stay and they refused a refund and offered no apologies.

The hotel is worn out - old carpet with wrinkles in hallways, strange decor in rooms, needs paint. Our bathroom was not clean- hair on sink, dirt and q-tip on floor, bathtub water first came out brown and dripped constantly. These are first world complaints, but probably wouldn't go back. Bed was comfortable, two TV's in sitting and sleeping areas separated by a heavy curtain. Large indoor pool and hot tub looked good, but closed at 8pm.

Upstairs with no elevator was a challenge with our heavy bags. Room smelled like dirt. After cleaning the disgusting air filter and spraying our air freshener on the blanket on the bed. It was tolerable. Note: No duvet or bedspread. No liner in ice bucket, had to ask at front desk & they gave us a frozen block of ice in a small plastic bag. We left our room at 9:05 and the housekeeper, with her key had barged in three times before we exited. Check out was at 11pm, unsure of why?? Oh, yes, manager did not appreciate his patrons. Always mad looking, grump acting, and ungrateful.

Well... suffice to say, this hotel is in its last legs. Seems like it was a nice hotel back in the day, but it has outlived its life unfortunately. How they can rationalize charging over $150 per night is unfathomable, and we were foolish to pay it. The door on the room could not even be opened without great force. The carpets and interior are old and worn. The bath and shower area were, let's just say, not good. Don't be fooled by the pictures and make the same mistake we did.

The suite was clean enough, brand new mattresses (definitely not queens though, more like full). However, the building is old as hell and it carries the smell of mold upon it. Super sketchy clientele, made my wife and kids uncomfortable. The continental breakfast is the worst I have seen, only slightly above COVID-day CB's.

Firstly, I will say the front receptionist man was very nice. However, upon arriving to facility I was greatly disappointed. I will never book here again. The hotel location felt as if it was in an abandoned lot, especially if you are arriving at night. The room itself looked very old and warned down. The bathroom lacked basic supplies, such as soap. The toilet paper was not fresh, but instead a used and almost finished roll. The bed sheets were not made neatly and therefore I questioned the cleanliness of the sheets. I personally did not stay the rest of the night because I did not feel comfortable. There were other people in an adjacent building smoking right outside. I did request a refund of which I did not get, but that is understandable as I did not pay for insurance on the room.

The room wasn’t as clean as it should be. Stuffy and dusty. Couldn’t stop sneezing. Rusty water coming out of sink and toilet and shower. Took several minutes to clear. Room keys didn’t work 3 times. Non working ceiling fan in bathroom. Crank to open bathroom window was broken. Came back at end of day and phone charger was missing. Website looked better than it was. Very disappointed.

Booked through expedia. We had high hopes because the hotel wasn't cheap and we were attending a concert. Check in was easy. Got to our rented room which was more of a motel room. Bathroom was very dirty and there was signs of degredation all over the place. Honestly in today market i expected this to be a 100$ room a night. I could hear literally everything the room next to me was saying and doing. The window in the bathroom was broken and you couldnt open it. My partner used the bathroom and the exhaust fan just never kicked on. Couldnt stay in the motel room due to the lack of smell ventilation. The bed sheets had giant black marks on them. First impression i was dissapointed and genuinely debated driving the 3.5 hours home instead of staying in the motel room.

Our experience was great. The room decor is dated but clean and functional. The pool is much larger than a standard hotel pool-15 yds I believe with two line lanes for laps. Both the pool towels and room towels were brand new. Good location for Saratoga Springs activities at a reasonable price.

Orange water from the minerals tarnished my rings

The service was excellent. The front desk people were very nice. But the room wasn’t very clean and there was not any soap to wash your hands. We got there late and we were on our way to a concert and got in late and when I went to take a Jacuzzi bath the water came out orange. So I tried to run it through and as I’m running it through, I noticed that my wedding rings instantly tarnished. I guess that’s caused by the mineral water. When I called the front desk and asked about it and asked if it was safe to drink the water, he said we could drink one cup and it was healthy for you but no more. So when I went to get water from the vending machine, the vending machine was broken and the icemaker was also broken. So I walked to the front desk and the guy at the desk gave me two free bottles of water. Which was nice but I think it should be listed that you can’t drink the water somewhere. There was no sign and if I hadn’t called him and I hadn’t ran the bathtub water, I would have drank a whole water bottle full of that water and have been sick. Also, the patio outside had two plastic chairs covered in bird poop and dirt, and was not comfortable at all.

Ending on a positive note tho, the bed was clean and super comfortable, and the pillows were amazing! but the room was not worth $360 for one night
