While, the lodge is charming, our room was freezing. We had the fireplace and heat as high as it would go. the room never got above 60. There was no blanket on our bed and no blankets were available in our room. The desk was unmanned after 11 and phone messages were unanswered. Hopefully, this issue has been corrected.

First there was electrical issues in the room we turned all the lights off and the right side lamp kept turning on and off still by the bed. The ice maker was out of service so u had to ask for ice but no one was ever at the counter. The restaurant is definitely more important. Our tv went out in our room and they did nothing just said they would talk to management but never did and never got back to us. I called after we left management said they would send us a free stay they never did. Tried calling again they never called back. They give excuses after excuses this is a horrible place to stay! I highly don’t recommend the customer service is not there!!!!! The bed was not as comfortable as I expected from reviews. It was hard. The place is cute but the parking was all muddy not paved we got stuck luckily we have 4 wheel drive or we would have been stuck. For how expensive and high end they make it seem it was very poorly maintained and ran. Awful valentines weekend. Don’t stay here!

I've been going to the Brewery Lodge for about seven years, both before and after the pandemic, and have to say that the rooms, and especially the bathroom fixtures, are looking a bit worn. Many good aspects but some drawbacks. Room was very nice and bed was comfortable but our hvac unit emitted a high pitch sound that was annoying. We also had a mixed experience at the Dinner Club. Before going, we asked if there was a dress code and were told there wasn't. After a long day hiking the Indiana Dunes, my girlfriend and I freshened up, dressed casually, and headed to dinner. Despite this, we felt out of place due to the way the staff treated us—almost as if we didn’t belong. On top of that, we waited over an hour for our food.
That said, the food was absolutely fantastic, which did help redeem the evening. With a bit more attention to guest experience and property upkeep, this place could be truly exceptional.

An absolute gem in the woods! The room was beautiful and very spacious, the grounds we so peaceful and perfectly kept. We had a minor concern regarding the bathroom, it was immediately addressed by the GM Amber personally. Our meal on site was wonderfully prepared, the filet and elk buger were so good! We were treated to the berry tart for dessert and would definitely enjoy it again. Unbeknownst to us, Amber had let the staff know that our dinner was complimentary; such a kind and generous gesture adding the many reasons it was an amazing, peaceful stay.

What a wonderful place tucked back in the woods! Spent the night here after a hectic trip to Chicago and it was so very relaxing. Dinner was fantastic as were Monica and Phil who served and helped us. Property does have cute charm, but could use a bit more tlc. Scratched paint/doors that are very hard to close/open. Walls are very thin and I could hear everything all night from the guests above us. - dehumidifier & white noise machines would be helpful. At the restaurant-It took almost a hour just to get bread- food quality was very good but desert was disappointing.

The room was not as clean as expected. The bathroom had used towels hanging behind the door, hair on the floor and in the tub, and overall felt unclean—enough that I didn’t feel comfortable using the shower. Cleanliness in bathrooms is essential and should be addressed immediately.

It would’ve been helpful to be informed of this earlier. Also, there was no regular creamer available for coffee, nor were there any dairy-free options.

Friendly staff, elegant room and surrounding areas. Has a lot of nature walks but we weren’t able to explore them due to March weather. A bit near the freeway but still fairly quiet. A short drive from all of Michigan City’s tourist destinations.

This property is very unique. The bar and supper club area have a cozy, quaint vibe. Rooms are spacious and beds quite comfortable. It did say free continental breakfast on Expedia however it is a paid brunch only from our experience on a Sunday morning. Not a big deal. Just inaccurate info. Would stay again.

I love staying at this lodge. Its my go to accommodations when traveling to lake michigan in the winter. I love being off the beaten path, the esthetic of the lodge and the supper club/lodge. However, this stay i stood at the front desk for over 15 minutes while the front desk worker was on the phone helping somone else book a room. Only once did she acknowledge me to say \"she'd be back\" and left the foyer all together for a while. When she did complete the call sometime later she asked how she could help me and i inquired if we could check in early...i think we were a half hour early and she replied that it wasnt check in time yet. After standing there that long for service i almost left and would have never come back. She then added let me see if your room is ready. Start to finish she seemed annoyed by her job. I did not feel welcomed at all. And i had been do excited for my bf to experience this lodge.

This is an outstanding place to stay at. Excellent service, they were able to get me in on incredibly short notice, leaving my key at the front desk for a late arrival (1 a.m.). Rooms are immaculate. Restaurant was gorgeous. Can't say enough good things about this location. Owners treat their guests with a high level of care and service. The room I had came with Keurig coffee maker and bottled water. Support this location!!!

Comfortable room and decent bed, but I was disappointed the prominent fireplace wasn't in working order. The room was also missing a coffee table by the couch. The walking trail outside was a nice touch, but the roar of the highway was a bit much. However, loved the restaurant -- both the ambience and the food!

I had car trouble on my way home on Thanksgiving Day. I needed an emergency one night stay. I was so fortunate to have found this delightful hotel. The staff was so gracious, the room was spacious and clean. The bed was super comfortable. I lucked out and I highly recommend this place!
