The room was dirty, ketchup on the blow dryer, the mirrors were cloudy and the doors and door jams were filthy. I could see through the sheets and the blanket was super thin and did not keep me warm on a 5 degree night. There was a huge red stain on the chair. The bed was very uncomfortable, sunk down in the middle. I was up on and off all night and did not sleep well at all. The toilet seat was spongy and sticky. There were no tissues, very few towels, which were small. The shower was so old and outdated, I did not even shower. . . I just wanted to get the hell out of there!!

I booked several hotels for a road trip and stayed at all red roofs because i was traveling with 2 dogs and when i got to check in they didnt seem to know i had 2 dogs and chsrged me an extra fee. Im fine with paying the fee just aidh expedia could some how inckude this when booking.

This was a $70 room at best not $170, which is what i paid. The bed was comfortable and there is a nice desk. Lots of dust. The bathroom was so poorly maintained, it was difficult to tell if it was clean or dirty. Ick. The facilities were filthy. Evidently, they haven't heard about power washers and paint. The trashcan was overflowing. Not only will i never stay there again, i will never stay at another Redroof.

Typical Red Roof Inn. The room was clean and mostly comfortable. The TV was old and didn’t work very well and the bed was squeaky but pretty comfortable. Bathroom was clean and the overall experience here was good.

I didn’t expect it to be top of the line or anything but I did not expect it to be in the condition it was. Hotel staff was friendly, but the room was NOT. Dead bugs on the floor, ants crawling around the room, smelled wet, microwave was dirty, fridge had rust inside, room didn’t feel like it was cleaned or even touched for months, floor was dirty, hair (possible cat or small dog) on the bed/pillows/IN the sheets, pillowcases were dirty, even if we wanted coffee we couldn’t drink it because there was no coffee pot, and last but not least the smoke alarm started to chirp low battery at 2am and then decided to stop at 8am. I didn’t expect super great but i didn’t expect this trash.

The staff was kind and friendly! BUT, we changed rooms twice to supposed \"non-smoking\" rooms. Spraying a fresh scent doesn't fix the walls which absolutely reek of smoking!

Either they need to fine smokers heavily for use of those rooms, which by the way they say they do, or not call them nonsmoking. It was horrible and difficult to sleep. We are double washing our clothes to hopefully remove the odor. Stay away from this place!

Be cautious using the microwave

Let me start off by saying that the staff was really friendly, and we had no issues with them. The place was only about a 10 minute drive to lake Michigan so that was really nice.

The room was dirty and had a strange smell to it. I went to make a bag of popcorn in the microwave, and the thing caught on fire luckily it went out as fast as it started, which is a good thing because the smoke detector never went off.

The people who worked there were very helpful and nice. I appreciate being able to have my dog in my room for no extra charge. I felt like my room had a smell to it. It wasnt gross but not fresh. My lamp shade was pretty stained. The ac was nice and cold.

Upon arrival, the entryway walk to the lobby smelled like marijuana. I walked into the lobby and was greeted with friendliness. He was to the point and had me checked in rather quickly.
I drove around to get to my room and saw a pickup parking in the back that looked like it had been there for a while. It had been broken into and had flat tires. Maybe a police ram. It wasn't good. Liter and cigarette buds all over the ground. I was seriously rethinking this location choice. The previous reviews made it seem like a decent spot.

I entered the room, and someone had been smoking in this nonsmoking room. It was very strong. There was dirt and build-up all over the floor. Crumbs in the sitting chair were very obvious. Walking up to the bed, I noticed that the duvet was soiled or stained, maybe, but it was gross. The white sheets were in the same condition but had hair all over them.
It appeared like someone slept in it and made it back up.
The bathroom sink was clean.

I have stayed at some tremendous red-roof locations and love them, but this one was pretty rough.

The hotel is in need of upgrading.

Yes there was building construction going on; however the rooms need upgrading also.

The room smelled of smoke, the window curtains were old and had burn holes in them, the flooring was worn, stained and water damaged. The shower continued to run, could not turn off water all the way. Bath tiles were missing along the sides of the tub, tile below faucet was loose and covered in black mold, tub was stained, rusty and moldy. Shower curtain was stained, moldy, and had paint on it.

The bedding was very thin, had holes, and stained; no blankets were provided, just a top sheet, older thin bedspread and then another bedspread on top.

The platform bed did not hold the mattress in place, it kept sliding off.

We had an unfortunate experience with an Airbnb place, and we had to leave in the middle of the night. It was very bad, and we are not picky. I was able to get right in with Red Roof Inn, and check in with ease and at 1:30 in the morning everyone was kind and courteous and helpful and empathetic.

After working all day then driving 4 hours. This is the worse Red Roof I’ve ever been in. The outside was not kept up.
There was Huge holes in parking lot. Entered room and the smell of bug spray hit me in my throat. Proceed to go over the room as I do with all! First pulled the sheets back. Why do they put this even on beds. Stains on sheets and comforter. Then to pull all the way back to mattress that has stains all over! The room had lint and dirt in corners. Shower area was not cleaned. 1 of the towels had a huge stain. Needless to say stepped back out and brought front desk to room. Asked if he would sleep here. His reply was No. The bug spray smell flared my Asthma up. Moved to a Hotel ended up having to pay even more due to me getting on site last mint again to find a place to go. Peace while sleeping is important to me. Be careful if you stay there. I wouldn’t let the chickens outside stay there.

I booked the place based on price and photos. The photos looked fine based on the price but when we pulled up, it made sense why it was a lower price. The room rank of cig smoke, the bed cover had holes all over it, and there were stink bugs everywhere. The service was good and the staff was all very nice.

Very clean and nice room. Not going to lie was skeptical at first when I first booked it but me and my wife were very impressed when we arrived. Walked in hotel was surprisingly spacious with clean fridge and microwave. Room smelled nice and clean not stuffy like a lot of hotels even more bigger names have this problem but red roof was great. Room was stocked with toiletry items etc with a very friendly staff. Very safe and clean space served its purpose of what we needed. Obviously no pool or breakfast but already knew this when we booked it just needed a nice place to go to over our Memorial Day weekend. Definitely recommend if you need a clean spacious room to lay your head.

The hand held shower head hose was leaking so there was a big puddle of water on the floor. The bath math was soaked when I went to put it on the floor for my shower.
There was no shampoo or conditioner for my shower.

Oh boy WHERE DO I BEGIN??!!! So I get to the \"Red Roof Inn\" and it's one of those single level crackhead prostitute motels with the dirty curtains and nasty exterior doors. I should have turned around when I walked into the broken down lobby OR ALWAYS get the Expedia insurance. The girl at the front desk charged my card the full amount of the stay (no idea why) so 1/2 hour later after figuring out the refund I was off to my \"room\"...I walk in and imediately I'm hit by a wall of cigarette smoke SO thick I have to check and see if some crackhead is hiding in the shower. Nope....I check the bed and there are yellow stains and blacks hairs...um yeah NO NO NO. I head back for my \"new\" room and of course the girl is totally annoyed. I got to my \"new\" room in the far reaches of the parking lot out back where the tweakers are working on their sweet rigs. I walk in and hear what I can only descibe as somebody playing basketball. The shrill sound of new sneakers on a basketball court. Not so much but the smoke detector battery is super low. I crawl up on the chair with wheels (lucky I didn't die smashing my head into the dirty hard floor) and remove the battery. So next I check the bed....yeah you can actually see an outline of a greasy body but it \"smells\" ok so I decide to do the unlogical thing and go to bed.

In closing I am NOT a bougy pre-madonna snob. I grew up Grizzly Adams style off grid with no running water and no electricity. This was by FAR the WORST hotel experience ever

The property the bed had stains on the bedding. I went to the office twice for new bedding both times I was given stain and burnt holes in the bedding. The property is surrounded by drug addits. I ended up leaving this property. Horrible is all I have to say.

It depends what you are looking for... I wouldnt suggest staying there for more than 1 night. The beds arnt as comfortable kinda rough.. At 3am some kids or people were outside making noise doin stuff.. The parking is very crammed also no elivator if you have a second floor. But, if you are looking for a cheal motel for one night to rest btw trips its a place to pick..

Their was blood all over the walls and bathroom door. It looked as if someone got in a fight and it was never cleaned... the floors seemed as if they’ve never been vacuumed... the mini fridge did not work, didn’t dare touch the microwave, could see nasty, crusty, dirty food finger prints all over it. The room did not have a coffee maker as it said.. the sheets were stained, burn holes in the comforters, oh and the tv remote would not work to the TV I was in front of.. couldn’t even sleep I was so disgusted by the blood all over the bathroom door and walls.....

The smoke detector Was continuously beeping requiring new battery. There were degenerates roaming the property seemed to live here and be on drugs. Disabled vehicles in the parking lot that seemed to be here for quite some time. No cable channels avail either just local. No back to the remote it was scotch taped. Only received 1 key. Walls desperately in need of repair peeling paint dirty floors we wont be using the shower it’s filthy.

Room \"appeared\" clean at first. I found old fast food trash under the bed. The floor turned my feet black. Almost gone toilet paper on arrival. There was no shower curtain. And the drain in the shower was clogged making water stand in the tub when i showered. Not very sanitary. I won't be back!!
