In 25 years plus of travel, I have never encountered a more rude and unprofessional hotel staffer than the gentleman that was working the front desk throughout our 2-night stay. It took him over 20 minutes to check us in upon arrival because he was busy texting. He also informed me at check-in that he had to charge me an additional $16 beyond the rate that I booked the room at and when I questioned the reason why, he couldn't provide me with an answer. When we got to our room, there were stains on our towels and bed covers. Our TV remote also didn't work and when we went down to ask him for a replacement, he said that he couldn't help us (so no TV for the entire stay). The next afternoon, I went down to request 2 new towels to which his response was \"You need to tell me this before our housekeeper leaves for the day.\" He then said he wouldn't give me the towels until I brought down the ones in our room to him. When I reached out to hotels.com for support, I was told that all that they could do was give me $50 worth of hotels.com credit as they tried to contact the hotel (once) regarding my concerns and no one would answer the phone. The level of customer service that we received was as poor as I've ever experienced. I cannot discourage people from staying at the hotel enough.

We stayed here for two nights only because pets are free. The location is great. You can walk to many restaurants within ten minutes. The area is quiet and parking is easy. The hotel itself is worn out and has the smell of strong cleaner used to cover up smoke smell. With a little effort it could be pretty nice. We will pay to bring the dog next time and stay somewhere else.

I like the cement walls, I could not hear anyone in their rooms. How ever the bathroom door should be a regular door. Not with slats so others can look in. Also the glass sliding door was hard to open and close and the one door was stained white? The king bed could use 4 pillows not 3 new curtains for the glass door would be nice as there’s mold on it. The bathroom was good but there’s a smell that kept setting off my asthma something with the toilet paper roll. Other than that it was good. Bed was nice clean water pressure for shower was really good.

I’m in a band and we played across the street from here for NYE….The rooms were bare bones no coffee maker no towels no hair dryer, the rooms were freezing, dirty in all aspects stains on the bedding we left at 12:30 in the morning and went home. It also had a bad smell throughout the hotel! No elevator so if you have a lot of stuff ask to stay on the first floor won’t be coming back

Room was very dated. There was a liquor bottle label stuck to the wall. The bed cover was very dirty. The TV didn’t work for a full day. The heating / cooling system never turns off. It’s hard to get a steady comfortable temperature.

There was blood on the sheets and pillow cases, . I think you should invest in better pillows the ones you have are terrible. Location is great and dogs staying for free is a great touch. I would love to see you out more live into the rooms.

Location & price were good; no elevators for 2nd floor which iI asked for 1st floor room when reservation was made as I have bad knees to climb steps. No refunds when I made reservation online so I was stuck climbing the steps. Dogs were free, room was large, bed comfy, TV didn’t work, no breakfast or coffee, bathroom sink was tiny but it served its purpose for my overnight stay as I was passing through town.

Not sure how old the pictures are but this property was nasty! The shower was not cleaned at all. It looked like a wig exploded on the wall of the shower. At least 15-20 long hairs. Someone picked their wig out and put it in the wall. It was nasty. We took our dog and washed her after leaving it was so dirty!!

If you are looking for a low budget place to crash only that's close to Ocean City NJ, this is your spot. They allowed us to let our dog stay and didn't charge a per fee, however they do not want you leaving your dog unattended. If you are good with hearing other dogs barking and are not interested interested in hanging out there, it was good for the cost.
Room was clean. There was no tub like in the photo.

The place is falling apart. It smells like mold, and very musty. It’s alright for $100 per night. Can’t complain until one of the staff put his hands on me and starts touching it inappropriately. My partner and I left right away. The staff didn’t think they did anything wrong. There’s a camera.

Not TRULY dog friendly

Upon arrival the man behind the desk informed me that pets are not allowed alone in the rooms. He wasn't even going to allow me to put them in the room on an 80 degree day while I went back to the car to get luggage. He wanted them back in my car. He sternly said \"pet friendly doesn't mean the dog can be in the room the entire time.\" I have stayed in DOZENS of dog friendly hotels and motels of all price points and I've NEVER heard of such a policy. I said they'll be crated if I go out, I brought their crate. He told me that didn't matter. Not wanting an argument I said politely no problem, I'll call hotels.com because the policy isn't on there and they'll just rebook me in a fully pet friendly property.

Instantly his entire tune changed \"well, we REQUEST you don't leave the dog alone in your room. We can't REQUIRE it. We've had a lot of problems and others guests complaining.\" I'm guessing corporate wants them dog friendly but they don't want to be? He was completely unpleasant to me for the remaining 3 days and watched me as if he was my college RA & I was on double secret probation.

I wouldn't rule this location out but book through hotels.com so you'll have recourse if they try to pull this with you. Or call in advance and say I will be leaving my dog from time to time but they will be crated, I heard others were allowed to do so within your policy.
The property is no frills but it's immaculately clean, large rooms with balconies and the location can't be beat for the $.

It was quite a situation. My job pays for hotel stays twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays. I accidentally booked a hotel for the 19th instead of the 20th, late at night around 11:30 PM. Within five minutes of submitting the reservation, I called the hotel to see if they could change my check-in to the 20th, but they refused. Expedia attempted to secure a refund so I could rebook, but the property owner declined that as well. It seems they feel like they got one over on me for $80. However, between now and mid-May, they'll be missing out on 65 hotel stays from me because I won’t be returning. I've already stayed there six times this year. I also feel that Expedia, which I typically use 90% of the time, didn’t do enough to help. As a result, I won’t be using them anymore either.

All slept great on beds, was quiet our 2 mid-week nights. Mini-fridge was deep w/ separate freezer that worked well. Room/furnishings not new, but clean all-around except for a little mildew along bottom of shower curtain. Hall carpet looked nearly brand new. Large patio area, but lots of spotted lanternflies in parking lot. Was pretty good for a last-minute budget stay.

Dog friendly stay

Chose this location because it was pet friendly and I needed to bring my dog on this trip. There were quite a few dogs at the hotel. The hotel was only 10 minutes from Ocean Beach/Boardwalk which was very convenient.

ROOM SMELLED DISGUSTING, clearly severe mold damage. It smelled like mold and cheese being heavily covered by chlorine. The smell of the room was so unbearable we found another hotel... This place also had a generally uncomfortable atmosphere. Don't waste your money or ruin your trip here.

I always enjoy my stays here at motel 6 in somers point, NJ ..they're always clean, very friendly, it's always quiet and peaceful and I absolutely love the private balconies. The beds are comfy and the rooms are spacious. I only wish they had microwaves and coffee makers in the rooms but I can certainly deal with that for the prices and comfortability and cleanliness of the rooms. The room I just stayed in last night was the first room I had with any issues...the toilet was not flushing properly and the air conditioner was blowing out very cold air but the room did not cool down until early morning so I'd say it took a good 10 hours to cool down and that's not usually the case. The units usually work very quickly but it could have been because of how hot it's been that it was just taking long to cool back down in there bc like I said the air coming out was ice cold...it wasn't hot in the room it just wasn't cold like it usually is when the air is on.

DO NOT STAY HERE if you have other options ! The area was great the hotel was not. The room was very dusty, dirty, sticky, smelly and the AC in the room broke during a heat wave . I had to wipe the room down myself upon arrival. The TV also didn’t work . We weren’t moved until the next day and nothing was done to remedy our experience. This was the worst hotel stay I’ve had through Expedia and would avoid this hotel if possible.

Its not quiet and the walls are so thin, i could here everything going on in my neighbors room and the hallway. The water in the toilet ran all night, my door had to be slammed to lock and each time my neighbors close theirs i could hear the slamming. The neighbor next to me was moaning and banging the wall all night.
However, I can say that although the rooms are basic, they were pretty clean. Our rooms also had balconies but no chairs.

It was a pretty standard motel 6 but it was cleaner than previous properties I’ve been to. The lady at the front desk is sweet and the surrounding area has lots of food options and a decent view. Only downside is that there is no microwave inside the room, just a mini fridge, the tv wasn’t working, and no complimentary breakfast either.

We did not stay! Check in was good. Friendly and welcoming. Reserved a king, room we were given had a queen. The floor was a hardwood type that was lifting, the walls were painted block, there was a hole in the bathroom wall and the mini blinds were beat up and falling apart. We took the hit and left. Stayed at a motel about a mile away for $20 cheaper and much nicer.

My wife and I often get hotel rooms for hot tubs. We usually go to Feathernest Inn in Cherry Hill but got what we thought was a great deal here. Not even 10 minutes after filling our hot tub around 4pm, the fire alarm started going off. It wasn't just in our room, it was the entire motel. Staff could not turn it off and had to wait for the fire department. The Lady behind the desk was super friendly, super nice, and super helpful. A firefighter and police officer came. They saw it was from the hot tub. The lady as well as both of them said it happens often and gave us suggestions on how to prevent it. We followed all of her suggestions. Around 8:30pm, right after filling the hot tub as we were getting ready to get in, the fire alarms started going off again. This time, a male employee appeared at our door. He aggressively pushed his way in, turned every single light on, looked in our bags, gave us an attitude as if we were trying to build a campfire or were criminals. We had zero candles, we don't smoke. We went downstairs to talk to him, he was talking down to us and at us. He tried to tell us not to use the hot tub them. We purposely booked that room and boom rooms for the hot tub. Why would we pay to not use it? He kept talking down to us and at us like we were criminals and scum of the earth. The same firefighter came back, looked around, said it was the hot tub again and was going to tell the male employee they need to move the smoke alarms if they're going to have them

The property labels itself pet friendly but you cannot leave your dogs in the room alone not even in a dog crate so my weekend was very limited couldn’t go out to eat and even had to take them to the casino with me in Atlantic City so the motel was good but very inconvenient if you brought your dogs

Stayed for a few days to enjoy OC beach. Our second day we noticed a leak coming from the pipe joint underneath the sink in our room. I notified the office that morning before we left. By the time we returned the repair was made. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable. I would stay again.

Only given minimal towels and wash cloths for entire stay. One flat pillow per person to sleep on. Asked for more pillows and the ones given smelled musty and one had black marks on it. Tiny trash can was over flowing in a day, no vanity area to set a tooth brush or anything. Tv remote broken and tv didn't work. Entire mattress shifted off bedframe with barely any movement. Left a day early due to these conditions as it was more convenient to travel home to sleep in our own bed that night than stay.

The tiny enclosed bathroom has a single switch controlling the light and extremely loud exhaust fan. I suspect it could be heard in the hallway,front desk and adjoining room. We checked in and around 8pm and went to dinner before turning on the light/fan and hearing the very disturbing sound. We were tired and didn’t report the issue. We would never return to this Motel 6.
