Parking lot was compact waited for 20 minutes for the guy at the desk had to call to get some at the desk condom wrappers on the steps along with trash an debris. There was no hair dryer in room the shower was dirty along with the water not get hot only like warm the jettub was horrible when turn on it shot debris an dirt out into the water as if it's never been cleaned the bed was hard an uncomfortable. There was no phone or alarm clock in the room along with no dresser

I booked this room for my weekend trip to Atlantic City but Booking this room was the worst idea ever. Room was very dirty and it was not livable. They’re charging around $180 - $200 for the filthy room. Bathroom were not not clean, toilet seat was broken, bathtub tap was continuously flowing. Room carpet was dirty.
We asked to change the room, staff tried to give us another room. That was a little better but not up to the mark.
I would recommend spend a little more and good book Hotel.
Not at all recommended and should be removed from Expedia.

The room smelled like smoke, there are cigarette burned holes in the sheets and the curtains. They stuffed toilet paper in the holes in the curtains. The floor has visible dirty foot prints going into the bathroom. The soap that was used was on the sink. Tub is rusted and dirty. The bathroom light was flickering. There was nothing good about the room. I paid $250 for the night because I booked it last minute and most places were booked out.
I immediately took my bag and walked out within 5 minutes of walking in. The money was nonrefundable, very disappointed. Dont go there, you will be dissappointed as well. Trust me.

Groups of obvious drug users and dealers stood rite in front of my room door. The window in the bathroom was broke and taped shut with weak scotch tape. The buttont to open the microwave door was gone. No chain on the door just the knobs that was supposed to hold the chain. Blood on the towel. A complete waist of money because I booked a different room at a different location. Went to check out next day, was waiting outside the office lobby for 30 min in the cold because the only staff member there was asleep in a back room in the office. This place shouldn't be open for business until it is invested in properly.

The man at the front desk was kind and gave us new sheets when we found stains on ours upon arrival. The window was broken open and there was a small faded red splatter on the ceiling. The mattress also had a huge burn hole in it as well as various intense stains. One of the lights was broken. Walking to and from my room was awful, as there were creepy men making comments at us when we walked by on the stairwell. The only reason some of my review is good is because the man at the front desk was very kind, but this is not a sanitary building in the slightest.

First night there was a crack addict and his girlfriend fighting all night through 4 AM. Asked to move rooms and next night a homeless camped outside our window blasting music smoking weed. There were drug deals in the parking lot all weekend, sketchy people everywhere. Had my shoes stolen at the beach near the hotel. Bed had cigerette burns, water stank, toilet ran, TV was small and limited...but worked. Literally the worst hotel on the worst city in America.

This place was absolutely horrible. Before I even arrived they began to call me and ask me what my ETA was. Once I arrived I was handed my key card and I asked if where I parked at was ok and they stated it was fine. I then began to head out for the night. Around 11:30pm I received a call from the hotel stating I needed to move my car due to the parking spot already being given to someone. I stated that I was already out for the night and that I could not move it at the moment. They continued to say we needed to move our car. We ended up having to pay 40$ for parking. On top of the inconvenience of having to pay more money. The water pressure in the shower was terrible along with only either getting boiling hot water or freezing water. There was also burn holes in my sheets there was a huge crack in the bathroom door. My tv remote also didn’t work and there were no batteries in the smoke detector. I would never stay here again. Going on vacation is supposed to be stress free and staying at this hotel was anything but that.

Avoid this place like the plague

Smelled like cigarettes, first room had feces on the toilet. Parking is not included and is an extra $40. The guy up front was not helpful at all when it came to figuring out where else to park or how to fix the issue with the feces in the room. Had a crackhead knock on our door randomly. They said the place would have a refrigerator but it didn't. Didn't even have a trash bin in the room. Most uncomfortable bed and pillows ever and they only give you a sheet for a blanket. Seems like it's just a place for people to do drugs. Avoid this place at all costs.

I booked this hotel last minute for my family when we decided to stay the night at the shore. I knew it was a cheap hotel. I didn't have very high expectations. Just needed a place to shower and sleep for the night. When I go to check in I had to pay 20 dollars for parking and there was a 40 dollar deposit for the room. Which is all fine but it said that nowhere in the description when I booked the room. We get our room, open the door and the room immediately smelled of cigarettes. I went into the bathroom and it was absolutely disgusting. It looked as though nobody had cleaned it at all ever. There was hair all over the floor, the toilet, the sink, and the shower. Aside from that it smelled awful, like old mildew and body odor. I checked the beds to make sure they were ok and I found a huge blood spot in the middle of one of the blankets, cigarette burns and stains all over both blankets.They looked as though they had never been washed. We took them off the bed and didn't use them. The "supposedly" clean sheets on the bed funky smell. Also there was a bunch of graffiti with fowl language on the walls. A random person also knocked out door at night looking for someone selling drugs. Were heard people banging on walls and screaming throughout the night and into the morning. I knew I wasn't getting the best when I booked this hotel but this was ridiculous.This hotel has absolutely no standards for cleaning.

Upon check in found dirty sheets with hair on bed. In shower I found mens underwear hanging. I highly doubt they really cleaned. Room smells like cigarettes. Bathroom mirror has creepy message on pen and they didn’t erase. TV does not work. Even it’s cheap place I still paid good amount to stay and it’s absolutely not worth staying. It’s loud at night and not safe either.

The worst motel/hotel filthy and not safe.!!

I got to the hotel looked at the room and it was very filthy dirty, furniture missing wall paper peeling off the walls the bathroom was so dirty with holes in the walls and the floors, window in the bathroom would not close the towels were so dirty with human stains also the bedding were dirty never washed with human stains. I send all the pictures to hotel.com
I never stay not even one night it was supposed to be a non- smoking room and it smell so bad, light fixtures not working electrical wire live hanging off the ceiling, ice bucket that suppose to be used for ice they use it as a cigarette ashtray, the front to the room was damaged and broken and would not close the correct way anyone could just push it in no safety, I send pictures to hotel.com lots of pictures of that filthy nightmare hotel.. drug addicts hanging around the hotel, trash in the staircase with dirty towels outside the hotel the staff person at the front desk was not helpful and said that all the rooms were booked and they were not, the other rooms we're in the same condition filthy because I looked through the window and did not look clean with the air conditioning covers on the floor, plus I WOULD NOT EVEN STAY IF THEY HAD ANOTHER ROOM .
The Downbeach Inn should be close and reported to the Atlantic City Board of health... I did send all the pictures to hotel.com and they are Investigating the matter and I want my full refund $159.48 please.!!

I was in town for USA triathlon National Championships, as a competitor. I got a notification on my phone that a motel staff member activated the rear-facing camera on my triathlon bike that was sitting on a carrier on the back of my car. I looked out the window and sure enough he was manipulating the camera and investigating the lock and cable with secured it to my SUV. Because of this I left within 1 hour of arriving after having paid for 3 days and parking. I felt unsafe leaving my bikes in the room or outdoors due to this. The young man told me that he was "just admiring" my bike. Yes I was little on edge with a carbon fiber racing bike locked to the back of my vehicle outside, but I wish he would just admire it from a distance without handling it.

The room was terrible. No toilet paper, no clean towels, dirty room and terrible bathroom. I had to go but cleaning supplies just to be able to use the bathroom. The mildew all over the shower walls was the worst I have ever seen in my 53 years. The bathroom had a window, but the window was missing. We had to put a towel up so that people walking by couldn’t see in. We had to go get blankets to sleep with because the comforters we terribly disgusting.

This was horrible! I slept on top of the covers (throw from our truck). It felt dirty a the bedding the next morning we noticed something black on it! Microwave could even get in the door was broken, refrigerator was rusty, ice build up, bathroom tub was gross! I felt like I was itching all night! If it wouldn’t have been late we would have moved hotels and it looked worse in the day light! It was the worst hotel experience I have ever had! Should have realized when we pulled in and a huge pile of towels was laying on the sidewalk in a huge pile!

This was the worst hotel stay ever. The room looked like a drug-deal scene from a movie. The furniture was old and chipped away. The bed felt like a wooden box. The tv lookedlike a computer monitor. The refrigerator and microwave looked like something from 1980. The sheets and towels were stained and the toilet was disgusting. I will never again make the mistake of not pre-arranging my hotel stay

We reserved on here. Check-in was quick and easy. The parking lot is small. For the price, the room was ok. Toiletries were a nice touch for the room, but the soap fell apart when I opened the package and the toilet paper ran out. The room may be outdated, but again for the price it was a quick go to for some sleep.

I like my stay here the only thing I don’t like is I have 2 service dogs. They charge you $20 per pet per night. Crazy cost as much for my service dog as for the room. I only stayed 2 nights look enough for me to find a different place that charged this fee that’s not even legal to charge.

Convince of location and price of room for area. Also convince of transportation for area.jitney runs all year and tram runs on boardwalk during summer. Just park your car and ride to other locations in the city. There are not many amenities. This is a beach inn at a good price! This is my go to place as I usually only sleep there. I spend most of my time out and about! Thanks Down Beach Inn! See you in the near future!

all room is very dirty. all beds have gums stick and we request for room not smooking and all rooms is smoke and we found alot trash under beds .microwave is dirty inside and the fridge. all areas inside room is terrible dirty . bathroom not work property and lights are burn, the sheets have gums the matress too and bad conditions. they bring towels just for two old and bad conditikns. we never back this place and not recommend to stay. the price is too expensive

I would have been pleasantly surprised if the room looked anything like the picture. The walls were dehydrated-piss-green, we killed a roach within the first 5 minutes, my parents provided more support through my adolescents than the pillows, there were stains on the carpets, comforters, and pillow cases... We received no room service, two makeup-stained towels for three people where we had to retrieve them, the bathroom granite counter was on its last legs, the wattage is less than needed for Android and Iphone, and the fact that the lack of shades for the stain glass windows had us experiencing sunrise was just spectacular.

Walls are paper thin so shoutout to our neighbor Shelly and her 3am drug deal for being the most entertaining part of the weekend.

I wasted my money... I checked out early the next morning and had to go spend more unnecessary money to book the rest of my stay at the Howard Johnson hotel... Downbeach hotel was trifling... Pure filth.. I did not have a fitted sheet cover on my mattress. The top comforter and pillow cases were dirty and had stains on them. I definitely need a refund in which I never received. My 3 year old son has asthma which was compromised due to a tremendous amount of smoke in the room we got no sleep because my son was up all night coughing... I let management know they told me welcome to Atlantic City. This was the worst birthday experience I ever had in my life ... Wasted my money due to poor customer service and filthy trifling conditions
