Had to switch rooms three times. Arrived and was unable to get inside my room after driving for 4hrs, hotel key cards would not work. Staff came with master key card and still was unsuccessful. Thirty minutes later my room was then switched to another room. Once settled in I realized that it was hot in the room and that the AC wasn't working. I was then switched again to another room. Once settled in there I needed ice. Asked the security and was told I could get it on the 12th floor. Got there and the ice machine wasn't even working.

The room was clean and the hotel was near the boardwalk. However, the AC unit in my room wasn’t functional the whole day and after calling 3 times and going in person to address the issue, it wasn’t solved. I slept in a hot room rest of night.

First room, The bathroom was dirty, the phone did not work to call front desk, the beds were dirty and not made up. We had to move. The second room, bed was dirty, fridge was dirty, bathroom was dirty, coffee maker was dirty, TV was not working, lamp was not working. They gave us the wrong room, I booked a walk in shower wheelchair accessible room, we were put in a bathtub room. We had an accident in the room because it was not wheelchair accessible. The third time we moved to the Ac was not working, bathroom was dirty, bed had stains on it, phone did not work to call front desk. The manager knew the Ac was not working and still put us in the room. They brought a fan up and it was so dirty and dusty. The staff was no help. The two manager were rude an unhelpful. We had to call the cops and the Emergency hospital to help us. Overall the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. I don't know how they are still in business.

There was nothing but issues with hotel. When we arrived, our original rooms air conditioning wasn’t working. It was up to 82* in the room and when I spoke to manager she told me that some people like it that warm. They moved us to a 2nd room which the A/C was working but the shower wasn’t. We needed a 3rd room to shower, mind you… we were only there for 2 days. The final night they deactivated our key cards and a person came into our room at midnight, while my family was sleeping. Oh and if you pay for breakfast and happen to stay there on a Tuesday, it’s not open. What?!? I have never had some strange and abysmal service from a Marriott branded restaurant. Would never stay there again or recommend anyone to stay there. Also, questioning Marriott.

It was a nice place to stay, close to the boardwalk and beach. The only issue I had was that the hvac system was down, and after payment and being there a day we received a notification of our reservation being canceled. We stayed, since we were already there and managed to deal with no cooling system. No discounts were given, even though there were issues at the hotel. Otherwise, it was nice.

We received a cancellation notice the night before our trip, had to scramble and find another hotel and prices were outrageous due last minute booking. It could be an hvac issue like we were told, just not 100% sure as we did pass by and there was plenty of people going in and out, maybe just a handful of rooms were affected

I am a loyal Marriott Gold Elite member, but this stay at the Courtyard Atlantic City Beach Block was an absolute nightmare.
We used mobile check-in days in advance and arrived at 5:00 PM to find the driveway completely blocked by traffic and a 45-to-60-minute line. We left to grab food hoping it would clear up, but when we came back 90 minutes later, it was even worse. I had to stand in line for nearly an hour and a half just to get our keys, causing us to completely miss the opening act of the concert we traveled here to see.
Once we finally got to the room, things went from bad to worse:
* **Broken AC:** The room would not cool down below 74°F.
* **Missing Essentials:** No trash can, no TV remote, and the TV didn't even work.
* **Health Hazard:** The mini-fridge was completely unplugged. I am a Type 1 diabetic and need to refrigerate my insulin. Having to scramble to find a safe place for my medication on top of everything else was incredibly stressful and dangerous.

charged me an extra $1590 to my debit card a day before i checked out. on top of the $990 i payed for my four day stay and the $568 i put as a deposit on my credit card. when i tried to ask the manager what happened she insisted it was a smoking fee (we did not smoke in the room) and sent an invoice for two charges of $568. (even with $1000 smoking fee which is unheard of that is still an extra $1000 unexplained) she was extremely rude and combative, claiming that i had been vaping in the room because she saw a vape in my hand in the lobby. this issue is still unresolved and i’m having to dispute it with my bank. i’ve stayed here multiple times, i take care to go outside to smoke even in the rain because i had been charged a $250 smoking fee before. this is the first i’ve ever heard of $1000 smoking fee- i will obviously never be staying at a Marriott again. also their cafe takes 1-2 hours and the staff is outright hostile. hopefully i can be refunded at least some of the $3,000 i spent for a four day stay at a popcorn ceiling dusty hotel. outlandish.

The room was clean. The bed was a bit cramp for two adults, and the mattress was uncomfortable. We had to call front desk to arrange for trash pickup. but new trash bag was not given. I've requested for additional toilet roll, and it was never delivered. The location is great and convenience for walking - 2 mins to boardwalk. Public parking is available nearby and is very safe.

The check in system is the worst I’ve ever encountered. We stood in line for over 1 1/2 hours. And we had to leave to catch a show we had perviously purchased tickets for. When we came back. We were assigned a room that had non functioning AC. We slept in a room with a temperature of 84 degrees. There was an industrial fan in my room that was loud and did not cool the room. The next day we asked and received a room with working AC. The staff were nice but the check in system is dysfunctional or the hotel was short on cleaning maids. I would not recommend this hotel.

When I checked in I had to ask about breakfast that I added when I did the reservations. The room was clean and comfortable. We went down for breakfast and found out they were closed on Tuesdays. Very disappointing. When I checked in I should have been told about the breakfast. Now an adjustment has to be done which is a inconvenience plus we had to figure something else for breakfast.

I paid for my room including breakfast but next morning they told us there was nobody at the bistro counter. The person at the reception was kind to give us coffee n bagel. If Mariott cant provide breakfast then they shouldn’t accept booking or charge extra for the breakfast . Room was fine, so lesson learned, dont ever book Mariott room with breakfast, they dont care.

When we went to checking at 4pm the room wasn’t ready and we had to wait a little. Then once we were given the keys we went to our room. When we stepped off the elevator you saw the hallway walls torn apart and we didn’t see the number for our room until I looked on the floor. The second we walked into the room the smell of mold hit you in the face. We walked in and the mold smell was extremely strong. There was also no TV in the room. Also, when I booked it said it was an ocean view and the only view was off the alley next to the room and the hotel next door. I went to the phone to call downstairs and the phone didn’t work. We walked out and went to the front desk. They apologized and gave us a key to another room. When we went to that room the hallway was walls were again ripped up. When we got into our room there was a good size electronic air freshener machine, stains on the furniture, hair in the sink/shower, and a rag left on the nightstand. We were only staying one night so we just stayed in the room. Also the area didn’t seem the best we saw somethings outside that weren’t the best and I was glad we were only staying one night.
The reason we selected this hotel was we stayed there years ago and had a really good experience so we expected to have a similar experience but unfortunately it wasn’t. I feel bad saying but this was the worst experience I’ve ever had a Marriot.

The entire hotel had been through a catastrophic crisis. Pipes more than likely burst. The staff over did their best. Most of the rooms were open and unoccupied. Furniture was stacked everywhere. Multiple air blowers were on all the floors. We had to be relocated to another room. The TV couldn’t be set up. They comped us the parking fee. In order to access the parking lot. We had to walk around the corner. Instead of using the exit to the parking lot. My issue overall was _ we were not being informed at check in about the situation. Speaking to other concert goers. They said the same thing. However, I must say I slept very well.

The hotel was under repairs due to some issue with the pipes. We were not notified before our arrival and when we went to check in, they told us that we may not even get a room due to this problem. We drove over two hours to get there so we were not happy. Later I that evening we called back and fortunately they took us. There were fans on all the hallways an a lot of loud noise and a damp smell. The people of the front desk were kind but it was a stressful experience.

The room needed some TLC! It was a stain around the floor on the toilet like it needed to be wiped. The bed sheets had holes in them. I was utterly upset because the reviews on here were fairly good. The downstairs lobby was about 20 degrees at all times because of the automatic wide opening doors from both ends. They absolutely need to have those automatic doors replaced to be smaller and not a whole wall wide or have a turn style automatic door. To have the lobby floor that cold felt like a crime against humanity. They need options to fix that. In short “it was good enough” but I wouldn’t book here again. Hard to get a decent hotel in AC without paying $500.

Staff was kind. However, upon arrival there was disaster remediation equipment throughout the hotel. The lobby looked fine, but the exit to the parking lot was closed off requiring us to walk around the outside of the building to access our car; sidewalks were not completely cleared of packed snow and ice. We stayed on the 7th floor. There was clearly water damage throughout the hallway, with the wallpaper peeling from the floor up and numerous industrial fans blowing air the entire length of the hotel. Our room smelled like clothes that had been left in the washer for a few days and the carpet was damp around the perimeter of the bed.
Worst of all was initially entering our room: the bathroom door was closed. We were getting settled and a woman walked out of our bathroom, scaring the holy bejeezus out of us. She was inspecting the room.
We have stayed at this hotel in the past, but this will likely be our last time.

Staff were awful. I had to wait so long until my room was ready. First one of the staff told me to come in 15 minutes. Then, it was not ready yet. I came back almost one hour later, it was not ready. When I went to the room’s bathroom, I looked that the soap was used, it had hair. I went to the counter and did a complaint. Room was cold.

The room that we were assigned to.. had a loud fan on it seems that it was flooded but they didn’t notify the front desk so we had to return to the lobby and we were given another room. we loved that parking was included. All shower fixtures rusty, hair in tub, felt more like a motel than a hotel. Mix up with our key and our room was entered by security staff with all of our stuff in it for they say they were looking for anyone’s id….seriously ??? We actually had a staff member tell us that they’ve had people literally enter the hotel and live in the rooms until they get caught. They comped the parking for the inconvenience…..really, the parking??? Wanted to leave and had a very rough night of sleep, especially with the most uncomfortable mattress and flat pillows. But unfortunately, due to the event we attended, there was no reasonable availability anywhere. This was an all around terrible experience…know it’s not the Ritz…..but we might as well have stayed at a motel or hostel….

Overall the staff was great. Fast check in & check out. The prepaid breakfast was probably the worst part of it. It was a simple sandwich with scrambled eggs, cheese, bacon, arugula & what should have been avocado. But the bread was burnt & the avocado was completely black. Which tells me they were premade & old. The hotel was within walking distance of the board walk, restaurants & shopping.
