I really enjoyed my stay at the golden nugget. From the time at the pool, the dining in-house in gambling to the proximity of Fremont street. Everything was a great trip there. No problems, i'm definitely going to come back

I like that it's on Fremont Street. I do not like the way the pool is set up all the cabanas are very far away from the pool. And the expensive fish tank was broken. Everything here is pretty expensive and I wish they had more food options.

We came for our anniversary and got a very beautiful room very spacious and very comfortable bed , nice bathroom setup and we went ro Fremont which was walking distance the room. We will definitely coming back hope the room again. I hope to have shark tank open again

Highlights: for an older hotel and casino, the building is in good shape and clean. The beds are VERY comfy, the staff is nice, the pool is great, and there are lots of places to eat. Location is fantastic too--right on Fremont.

LOWlights: I have never stayed in a hotel with no coffee maker, no fridge, no microwave, and no streaming or casting. HUUUUGE disappointment. The vending machine charges $10 for a soda. Two coffees at Starbucks was $19. Popcorn at the little store was $9. Just absolutely astronomical prices and no way to take home leftovers, heat them up, make a coffee, or watch a movie. I feel like I was price-gouged at every turn.

We have stayed here many times and have always loved it for family gatherings. The location is great. We love Fremont street. The pool was under renovation but still very nice. The access to the levels has changed. It used to be that if you stayed in the gold tower you could go to every floor. This time you COULD NOT. Your key gave you access to your floor and we did not know. We were celebrating our granddaughters 21st birthday and had a group of 13 people that stayed at the Golden Nugget. We had a suite so we could have her birthday cake and gifts and of course photos. It was a struggle to have to go to the lobby and pick up each person to come up. I will not book a suite here again for a celebration. We tried to have the birthday girl stay on the same floor but they couldn’t accommodate. I would have insisted we be on the same floor when we booked but it was not this way before. We had the suite and it was not very clean. There were rings around the drains in the sinks like they needed to be scrubbed and the floors made my feet dirty! I always bring slippers and was glad to have them. The suite had 2 bathrooms and the main bathroom smelled like smoke so bad that if you left the door open while you were gone the whole room smelled.

We had questions about parking on arrival and we were sent to a self-serve kiosk to check in. We could not find a person to help us so we were left to navigate on our own. The room was large and clean. The bathroom was in need of repair. The bathtub had cracks in it and rust was running from them. I feel like a refrigerator should be included in the room rate. We had stayed in 6 different hotels over our road trip, and this was the only time where a refrigerator was considered an upgrade. There were plenty of food options in the hotel, which was awesome. Knowing what I know now, I won't rule out staying again in the future, but I will definitely look at other options.

We go to the golden nugget at least once a year for family vacation and it’s always a great experience ! We upgraded to the rush tower and man was it classy. Big room, king sized bed with a couch. Love that it had a refrigerator. The pool at the nugget is always a family fave. Mark the bartender is always a joy! All in all, we can’t wait for next years trip!

Upgraded Rooms are very comfortable, however, during four days stay we had absolutely no maid service. Had to request extra towels from a maid down the hall We had a friend staying down the hall from our room and she never got maid service during her 4 day stay either. We purposely refrain from putting the do not disturb sign on our door in hopes that we would get fresh bedding, but it never happened. We enjoyed the restaurants at the Golden Nugget, and the food was very tasteful and prices compared to most Las Vegas restaurants. The pool was nice however the slide is not working order. We would definitely stay there again, due to the convenient location and the comfortable rooms.

Our room was clean overall but our keys never worked. The woman who checked us in asked if we wanted to upgrade to a suite and I specifically asked her if the room had 2 beds and she said yes well it did not. She also never explained how to get to our room or that you need to use your key to use the elevator several people also had this issue and other guests told us and them how to use the elevator.

We decided to stay a night at the Golden Nugget after staying on the strip and I was not disappointed at all.
1) Room was clean, but was outdated
2) Arrived early in the day be they did have a room to upgrade into
3) Check-in was excellent, the gentleman who helped us was fantastic!
4) Pool nachos = terrible
5) Pool features were closed, and there was a fight that day which was sketchy
6) Security at the pool entrance was Excellent!
7) Gambling was FUN!! I felt like I got more 'bang' for my buck!
8) Front desk was not helpful and wanted to charge me more money for late checkout, which had been already agreed upon during check-in, but the gentleman that I checked in with was there on checkout and he made it all good - THANK YOU!!
9) Bloody Mary's the the bar next to the pool = excellent
10) Cafe in the casino was REALLY GOOD! We at breakfast there, and we pleasantly surprised.
Overall, our experience was good and we'd stay at Golden Nugget again.

The rooms were dirty that I have eyelashes stuck to the bottom of my socks, and I don’t even wear eyelashes the pool. The slide was closed. Their aquarium was not even on. It was terrible. I picked that hotel because of the waterslide and we can’t even use it it’s nothing like it looks on the pictures.

The staff who worked the pools and pool bars were super helpful and gave good customer service.
Drinks are spendy, however Jell-O shots were reasonable. The slide and shark tank were closed for maintenance / repairs

The staff on the floor were not friendliest, when seeking help or easy to locate
1. At check in if you are not part of their VIP group there is not staff to check you or out, it’s at a self service kiosk , if you need assistance like I did because my reservation wouldn’t come up -you have to wait for someone from the VIP desk to be available.
2. When I sat a bar on the casino floor it felt like I was inconveniencing them when I ordered a drink.

Food:
The only place to eat were the chick filet , star bucks , the casino restaurant ( staff there were super nice and the $30 steak and eggs were good) and the sports bar, we could order limited items while at the pools when they were open-

Get what you pay for:
The rooms were a good deal but if you don’t want to pay for upgrades there is no refrigerator, microwave ways in the room. We ended up using a trash can for ice. We pay a resort fee but were charged $13 each time the maid’s services the room.

So the deals are good but don’t expect much , unless your willing to pay more.

The guest were super friendly and we met a ton of new people.

I always love to stay at the Golden Nugget because I love the Shark Tank… But was not notified that it was shut down, so I never went in the pool, which was a huge bummer!

Also, my boyfriend fell in the shower as there was no Matt… He hadn’t even turned on the water yet… But it was super slippery and because I’m deaf in one ear, I couldn’t hear him calling for me for over a half an hour. Luckily I finally was able to hear him and I had to call security to help him get up and out of the shower… So neither one of us got to take a shower for two days. It was very scary! I should’ve asked for a Matt, but I didn’t know that I had to!

The whole hall smells like p@t….,the whole time and it made him a little sick. The sports bar was nice and fun. I will definitely return, but these are my complaints. I think we should’ve gotten a discount because the Shark Tank was closed and that was the biggest thing for my birthday weekend!

My stay at the Golden Nugget Las Vegas had both positives and disappointments. The rooms were comfortable, the location on Fremont Street was great, and the staff was friendly. However, there are a few areas that need improvement.

The biggest issue was the casino ventilation. The smoking throughout the casino was overwhelming at times, and better air circulation would make the experience much more enjoyable for both smokers and non-smokers.

Another disappointment was that one of the hotel's main attractions—the famous shark aquarium and waterslide at The Tank pool—was closed for repairs during my stay. The aquarium and slide are major reasons many guests choose the Golden Nugget, so it was unfortunate not to experience them. The resort has confirmed the slide and aquarium are closed for maintenance during the 2026 pool season.

Overall, the Golden Nugget still offers a fun downtown Las Vegas experience, but guests should be aware that some signature attractions may not be available, and the casino could benefit from improved ventilation. Once the aquarium and slide reopen, I would consider giving it another try.

The room was good size, beds were comfortable and the pillows were good. The only issue was the bathroom tub faucet shower head poured water down the back wall and into the floor. It was a known issue because there was rust down the front of the tub that has been there for a while.

The place smells so much of cigarette and marijuana. At least provide an area for none smokers. The restaurants. smell also making it uncomfortable for non smokers to enjoy a meal . Check in is very inconvenient with the addition of the laughable kiosks which appeared everyone struggled with having to have an attendant help check in. Get rid of the kiosks go back to personal service

by an employee, and after I reported it and identified it, it was returned.
I'm very grateful.
I would not hesitate to stay at the Golden Nugget again. Close proximity to

Check in was hard. They make you use the kiosks and if you had trouble and try to ask a human for help they acted annoyed and rude. You would think they wouldn’t want machines to take over their jobs but they don’t seem to care.
Are room was junky, no coffee, no fridge. No blanket just a thin sheet. Even though I know it’s Vegas people still like a blanket. They give you water bottles that are warm with no fridge to cool them sucked. Wasnt pleased for the money we paid.

The only person who was nice and did a good job was the guy who opens the door in the front. He was lovely

Overall our stay was great. The amenities in the rooms were lacking a bit though, neither of our 2 rooms had a refrigerator and 1 of the rooms had no curtains. But fortunately, our rooms were mostly for sleeping. Next time we'll seek a room option that offers both curtains and refrigerators, hopefully at no extra charge.

I have stayed many times at the Nugget. Our room was unfortunately dirty- they had left the previous guests fake nails on the night stand, beer bottle caps on the floor and one of our beds didn’t have a blanket.. the check in was now done by computers and self check in- the one lady there “helping” was extremely rude. Disappointed by this visit..

The golden nugget was better than expected. Rooms were nice and clean. All staff were courteous and friendly. Check in was quick and easy. The only down side was the pool slide was closed. Pool looks nicer in website pictures. But overall GREAT experience. Excellent location!

Everything was great! Very helpful and friendly staff. Anywhere from the pool to the restaurants and casino to registration. We went to CJs for breakfast and for a special night out we went to Chart House. Both have excellent service and great food. Front desk check in and check out was a breeze. Always had staff available. The slide was being worked on so the sharks were not there. Disappointing but understandable. This was listed on their website so we knew it in advance. We did not have housekeeping for three days so they did a wellness check!

I only have one recommendation. For your elderly patrons, it would be nice to have a few benches in the LONG hallways.
