I guess the hotel was remodeling or fixing things. Not much to do there most things were closed. Hotel could be a lot more cleaner. As far as staff I won’t say that all are rude and unprofessional but I definitely had a few staff that were very nice and professional. Don’t think I would be going back there. Not even with the kids…

Only reason why I give it 4 stars because housekeeping didn’t come not one time to my hotel room to clean but they cleaned the other rooms on the floor. They didn’t replace no towel, no rag, no anything. I literally have to wait till they reach to my floor so I can ask for the items. I even asked front desk for towels and rags and they said they be right up and never showed up at all. But everything else is fine just wish they have more eating options and a casino or something for the adults they only have kids arcade games which was fun a little. If you want to play at the casino you have to walk to the other hotels.

The place is outdated and very old. It needs a major face lift. No issues with the staff, customer service was great. The water park was great I enjoyed it with my family. The room just outdated and smells old. Tv remote had tape on it and it was an old universal remote. They really need to update the entire place. I was disappointed in the room. I left before my time was up.

The Executive Oceanfront Room had a deep scratch across the wooden living room floor, and when I reported it, the front desk would not move us to a better room. That was already disappointing, but the checkout experience made it worse.
I politely asked for just 30 extra minutes because my wife was dealing with a stomach issue and needed time for a personal matter. The clerk refused and responded very dismissively.
For a property that accepts families and children, a little understanding would go a long way. Instead, the service felt cold and unhelpful, and the stay did not live up to expectations. I held back beautiful photos that could of help the Showboat's Reviews
but due to the problems I encountered They don't disserve it.

Great location on the boardwalk! Rooms are updated and very spacious.
Bathroom toiletry amenities could be upgraded a little bit but overall a wonderful day!
Although we did not visit the arcade or the waterpark, this is a great place to stay with your family.
The breakfast barista next to the check-in center was excellent! Amazing coffee and reasonably priced. Has all sorts of snacks and food available for purchase.
Would definitely stay again!

I would recommend Showboat Hotel Atlantic City for the attractions, but not for staying overnight.

The water park, arcade, and go-karting were really fun and are great for families. That was definitely the highlight of our trip.

However, the hotel itself is outdated. My husband and I booked a large suite with an ocean view, which was beautiful, but the room didn’t match expectations. The furniture was old, the carpet was torn, and the TV was outdated—we couldn’t use our Fire Stick and had to rely on cable.

There were also maintenance issues. One shower didn’t drain properly, and the other had a broken showerhead. The jacuzzi tub didn’t feel clean enough to use, which was disappointing. The bed was comfortable, though.

Food options were limited. Most places required leaving the hotel, and the on-site restaurants we tried were not very good. The best options were the food cart near check-in and the gift shop. The food at the water park was good. Some restaurants we wanted to try (steakhouse, sushi, and Italian) were closed, which was frustrating.

Overall, we would return for the attractions with our kids, but we would stay at a different hotel nearby.

The hotel has an overall scent to it walking through the lobby. The hotel rooms were clean and comfortable though. Have to look elsewhere for food and the elevators should be looked at. The kids loved the arcade.

We went during spring break which was probably the worse time, it was crowded, ghetto, people were having sex loud next door and making loud noise in the hallway.. it was hard to reach front desk after midnight. The food was terrible. We went to either the hard rock or Ocean for most of our meals. Next time we will not stay there only visit for the kids entertainment only

Honestly, I do not recommend it. The hotel is poorly maintained, and the rooms are a nightmare. I was even afraid to sleep in that bed. There isn’t even a telephone to contact the front desk. The floor was dirty, and the nightstand looked like it had been picked up at a garage sale—I didn’t even want to touch it for fear it might fall apart. The lamps had burned-out bulbs. I do not recommend it at all.

This was our 2nd time staying here. First time was great. My kids had fun at the arcade, skating and mini golf. We came back because we wanted to bring our dog and the property is pet friendly.
We were pretty upset that the pool was closed, this time and it was last year as well. The room that we got all of the sudden started leaking extremely from the bathroom ceiling like at 1am. I let the front desk know and they were going to let maintenance know but never did. I called back and they said someone was going to come check or fix in the morning but no one ever did. At night the A/C was not working and had to sleep hot and uncomfortable. Not sure if I wanna come back to this same property again.

First let me say this when you read the reviews please believe it. The only good thing was the water park. This place is very over priced for the quality of things. The room I paid for was not the room that was giving to me. Good thing I bring my own towles because the towels was stained to the point they should’ve been put in the trash not washed and passes out. My room wasn’t cleaned the entire stay by house keeping. Let me not mention the how my bag was stuck in the safe when I called the front desk and told them the conversation was very casual to the point you can tell that it maybe a normal thing that happen from time to time. The quality of the bed just didn’t match the price of the room. The pillows were not good. The bedroom looked like it haven’t been cleaned. Please just think twice before staying

The hotel definitely needs to be upgraded. Ice machine on our floor was broken, and there was absolutely no internet. Not to mention the entire hotel smelled of marijuana which is a shame as this is suppose to be a family friendly hotel and I brought my 9 and 13 year old. Will not be back. Very disappointing considering we paid almost $700 for 2 nights.

The tv never worked. We called and called every day to ask that the tv be fixed and no one answered the phone until the first day, most of the restaurants were closed before Friday, the carpets smell, there was no wifi, the room did not have a blow dryer and the staff never came to clean the rooms or take out the garbage. The shower water had to be running for ten minutes until it got warm. Do not recommend.

I loved the room despite the cold winter! View was amazing. My only issue was they have to get rid of those terrible coffee pots & get real ones in there. It's such a great room but to have that terrible coffee with the plastic tray..it just doesn't go together. There was no room service or way to get anything.

The bathroom in the room was dirty, there was roaches running crazy on hallway walls. I called and was told the water park was open during the week and then drove 4 hours for it to be open only on weekends. They make you sign saying the place is smoke free but the game room and hallways smelled like smoke and piss. Customer service was very poor. I will NEVER COME BACK.

Never again will we stay at this hotel. It was complete chaos. When the lines became too long for the elevators “security” sat to make sure “guests” were waiting their turn because adults were barging their way to the front of the line. Said security guards said to a man that whispered in his ear in his way to the front of the line, “I’m not paying no mind to this line” people were smoking weed in the lobby, in the halls and everywhere else with nothing being done about it. And then you get to your room thinking you will finally have peace, only to find the walls and door are paper thin, and the door has about a 1” gap underneath so you continue to hear everything going on in the halls and in the rooms. We were woken up at 1am by a surrounding room having very loud “activities”. We could not wait to get out of there in the morning. In fact when we walked in to the chaos we almost walked out and I wish we would have.

Our stay was disappointing overall. While we visited during spring break, the hotel was extremely overcrowded, making it hard to enjoy anything. The waterpark was fine for the first couple of hours, but quickly became too packed, with very long lines everywhere.

Food and drinks were overpriced ($40 for two funnel cakes and fries, $25 for a basic frozen drink). Parking was $25 per day, and a $150 deposit was required, which I am still waiting to be refunded.

Cleanliness was a major issue. The entrance and lobby had an unpleasant odor, hallways smelled strongly of weed, and there was visible garbage in some areas.

Our room did not meet expectations. It smelled musty, floors looked dirty, and there were serious hygiene concerns. The bed appeared to have no proper mattress cover, just a sheet. There was a poop stained toilet, a used bar of soap put back in the box, and leftover trash. The room felt so unclean that I had to wipe things down myself before we could use it.

Overall, overcrowding, poor cleanliness, and high costs made this an unpleasant stay. I would not return.

Figured a little less than a week after a stabbing on the premises went viral they’d show some compassion. Of course not. The first thing that impressed me about Showboat Hotel was how much there is to do without even leaving the property. I had a very disappointing experience during my stay at Showboat Hotel Atlantic City.

After checking in, we discovered that the bed sheets had what appeared to be dried blood stains. This was reported immediately. The following morning around 9:00 AM, I began requesting assistance, but despite multiple emails, phone calls, and even going to the front desk in person, the issue was never properly resolved.

At one point, I was told between 4:00–5:00 PM that rooms would be available shortly, but no follow-up ever occurred. No clean sheets were provided, and no room change was completed. By the end of the night, we were forced to remove the sheets ourselves and try to rest on top of the bed cover, which was extremely uncomfortable and unsanitary.

This situation went unresolved overnight and into the next morning with no response from management. Cleanliness is the most basic expectation for any hotel, and the lack of urgency and communication made this experience even worse.

I would not recommend staying here unless improvements are made in both housekeeping and customer service.

I wouldn't recommend going when school is out very crowded. My kids enjoyed themselves that's what truly matter. ALSO EXPENSIVE!!!! Crazy work yall.

If there was a rate of 0 that’s what showboat deserves , my room was filthy with dust, my toilet seat was even broken, couldn’t communicate with the front desk due to the phone being broken, most of the games were out of service. More over I couldn’t even take the elevator I had to take the stairs from the 19th floor down with my two toddlers and wife.

Dirtiest hotel room I've seen in a while.
Carpet smelled like dog pee. No one came to address that problem although I called the front desk multiple times. I requested wash clothes, they said they only had one left!!! We were 4. I eventually had to go downstairs to the manager. He changed my room to another room with filthy carpeting. I just didn't smell like pee. Never again will I stay there. The 2 is because the security was kind when I went to get my Uber eats meal downstairs. Check in also took an hour and it was after 4pm
