Staff were great, location was great. The hotel is a few decades past due for a facelift, but the rooms were large and had lots of space and amenities. It got the job done, everything worked as intended, it just needs some serious renovation/modernization but otherwise fine.

Stayed in the Ballys tower, and the room was nice and clean. Only issue was the AC didn’t seem to work great. The first night it didn’t seem as bad, but it was worse the second night. It was fairly warm and you could tell the difference walking out into the hallway. Had I stayed a third night, I would’ve told the front desk. Otherwise, the hotel was the perfect spot for a beach day followed by the concert we were in town to see at the hard rock. Would definitely stay here again!

I was only staying there for one night and I was staying with my partner, and I had told the staff at the front desk that my toilet was clogged, and it has been clogged since check-in and nobody came and fixed it. The toilet remain clogged all the way until we checked out the room was beautiful, but I wish the customer service was better.

We chose Bally’s for our one-night stay because we planned to stay, gamble, and spend most of our time there. Unfortunately, the experience pushed us elsewhere.

The guests next to us played extremely loud music for much of the evening, making it difficult to relax when we returned from the boardwalk. The casino also had an unpleasant odor that smelled like mildew being covered up with air freshener.

The hallway carpet on the 5th floor was buckled in the only path to the elevators. I tripped over it three separate times during our stay. It’s an obvious safety hazard that should be fixed.

The biggest disappointment was the service. We signed up for the rewards program and I gambled about $100. When I tried to order a complimentary drink, I was told I didn’t qualify, even though other guests using the same rewards card said I should. The interaction felt dismissive and unhelpful.

We eventually walked to Hard Rock and the difference was immediate. I received three complimentary drinks within the first hour and the atmosphere was much more welcoming.

Overall, Bally’s gave off a “just give me your money” vibe. We planned to spend our entire night there but ended up looking for reasons to leave.

My room was dated but clean. I was in the old tower, Dennis. I was first placed in a room that faced two buildings. All I saw out of both windows was brick. I went to the front desk and they upgraded me to a view which still wasn't great but way better!

Ballys wasn't phenomenal but I have definitely stayed at worse places to be right on the boardwalk. I was happy.

Everyone was nice. Parking was convenient. The pizza is great!!!!

Excellent place to stay. Wife and kids loved it. Right on the boardwalk. It’s a bit of the walk to self parking but nothing too bad. You definite need to find a bicycle rental and ride bicycles on the board walk. Even saw dolphins! Would gladly stay here again.

The bed was super comfy, but the room was dark and didn't have a lot of lighting, other than two little spotlights above the bed's headboard. I think the bathroom needs a bit remodeling, as some areas have visible signs of rust.

I had very specific prerequisites when choosing accommodations for our weekend away. My husband was attending an event at the convention center. Because he would be out all day, I wanted a hotel near the boardwalk that also had a pool in case it rained. I wanted something for my 10 year old special needs daughter to do. Upon arrival I just happened to notice a sign that said the pool was only for 21+. Thankfully we had nice weather. Most of the staff was quite nice and expressed their annoyance with the policy. I was also told that most times the pool is empty. This might seem like a trivial complaint, but when you have a child who talked about the pool the full four hours it took to get there, this was more than an inconvenience. I highly suggest you update your description on Expedia.

Our room was comfortable enough. Nothing spectacular, but no real complaints. We stayed in the Bally’s Tower, it was fine other than the hint of cigarette smoke in our nonsmoking room.

My last comments are with regard to the room that my parents stayed in. They were only able to get a room in the Dennis Tower. Bally’s should be ashamed to have their name associated with those rooms. Thankfully my parents are physically fit. The shower is a death trap waiting to happen.

I don’t think that we will ever have the desire to return.

I came into the hotel to check in an a nasty \"B\" at the counter said.... \"We are only doing check out now come back at 4 pm\"

I then left my bag with the Bellman who told me come back 2:50 and you can get a room and not wait on a long line. She could not have told me this?

The pool area look like it was nuked. Room was clean, and updated no issue there granted when you have a room with two beds, maybe double up on the soap, do I have to run soap over my body that was all over my hairy friends' body?

This felt like a poor man’s casino. Many of the amenities were closed or no longer available. In the pool area, the squash court was boarded up, and the hot tubs were also closed and boarded up, which was disappointing.

Unfortunately, many of the staff members I dealt with did not appear to be properly trained. Their most common response to questions was, “I don’t know,” leaving guests to figure things out on their own. In addition, several employees gave the impression that they did not enjoy working there and made me feel as though I was inconveniencing them by asking for assistance.

Given my interactions with the staff, I was not surprised when I discovered that my package had been lost. The hotel had no record of ever receiving it, even though my USPS tracking clearly showed that it had been delivered and signed for. They don’t even keep a log book.

When I asked to speak with a manager, I was told to return in 20 minutes at his convenience. When I finally met with him, he was immediately confrontational and made little effort to resolve the situation or even show any understanding of my frustration regarding the missing package. His approach only added to an already disappointing experience.

Overall, I did not enjoy my stay. After spending the weekend there and visiting several other casinos and hotels in the area, I found that they offered a much better experience. I will certainly be trying those properties in the future rather than returning here.

The hotel’s interior design still looks elegant, classic, and well-maintained. The room temperature was perfect throughout my stay, making it very comfortable.
That said, for the price I paid on a Saturday night—even accounting for weekend rates—I didn’t feel the overall experience offered good value. The room lacked several basic amenities that many guests might expect, such as cotton swabs, toothpaste, slippers, and even complimentary bottled water.
While the bed itself was clean and comfortable, the fabric covering around the bed frame was not neatly tucked in, which detracted from the room’s appearance. Overall, the room showed signs of wear and could benefit from better upkeep. Dust was noticeable in some corners, suggesting that housekeeping attention to detail could be improved.
Another inconvenience was the location of the charging ports, which were positioned far from the bed and not particularly guest-friendly.
One standout feature, however, was the elevator service. Despite staying on the 39th floor, the elevators were impressively fast and efficient.

Overall, Bally’s offers a beautiful classic atmosphere and comfortable climate control, but the room maintenance, amenities, and overall value for the price leave room for improvement.

Stayed in the Dennis Tower. \"DON'T\" wood furniture so old it had chips where you could get splinters if you didn't pay attention. Opened closet door and could hear the wood cracking. Bathroom was ok had a hole around the sprinkler which looked like work wasn't completed. Toilet handle was hanging off tank had to adjust every time we used until maintenance finally came.

We stayed at Bally’s Atlantic City this weekend while attending a dance competition, and unfortunately it was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences our family has ever had.

The condition of our room was unacceptable. Upon entering, we were immediately met with a strong musty, damp odor that lingered throughout our stay. The room felt dirty and poorly maintained. The bathroom was not properly cleaned, surfaces appeared grimy, and the overall cleanliness left much to be desired. The bedding, sheets, and comforters did not feel fresh, making it difficult to relax or get a good night’s sleep.

What was especially frustrating is that families were traveling from all over to attend a large youth dance event, and many of us were expecting a clean and comfortable place to stay after long competition days. Instead, we found ourselves questioning the cleanliness of the room and feeling disappointed that the accommodations were in such poor condition.

We understand that hotels can be busy, but basic cleanliness and maintenance should never be compromised. Bally’s has a prime location and so much potential, but our experience fell far below what we expected.

We left feeling that the room was not worth what we paid and would not choose to stay here again unless significant improvements are made.

I didn’t like that I was unable to cancel one night of my stay, even though I was still within the period I could make modifications to it. The Dennis tower must be one of the old ones because it was not in good condition. I had absolutely no view. The windows were all frosted.
The staff around the hotel was friendly. The food accommodations outside of the venue where our event was held was very convenient.

We came for the air show with our teen. Upon arrival we were immediately greeted by someone smoking inside by the valet.
Our room was not ready but it was early so we headed to the beach for the air show. The beach was clean but there were so many people smoking cigarettes and marijuana, everywhere. We paid $10 to check in an hour early, which was fine but just a money grab. We were on the 38th floor and our room smelled of stale cigarettes. It was not renovated yet. I wanted to go and ask for a new room that was renovated but my husband didn’t want to. The room did not have enough outlets or they did not work. The shower didn’t drain well and my son said there was a toenail on the floor. The beds were comfortable but one of the pillows was stained. The refrigerator was hanging out of the wall space. We decided we would not be staying the second night bc it was gross. I barely slept because all I could smell was smoke. It seemed like the air from the casino was being pumped into our room. Awful! The hallway did not smell as bad. It was either cigarette smoke or intermittent pot. My husband came out of the shower and when he opened the bathroom door, he said the room stunk of smoke. We went to Ballys due to the air show but would never go back and would never recommend it to anyone. Truly awful. I did ask for my resort fees back and the manager was rude. We shall see if I get the fee back.

As first-time guests at Bally's, we didn't realize the major difference in aesthetics between the Bally's Tower and the Dennis Tower. We stayed on the fifth floor of the Dennis Tower, and the room was disappointing. It was outdated, dusty, had visible cobwebs above the sink light fixtures, and featured heavily worn furniture. Additionally, there were no power outlets near the bed to charge our devices. On a positive note, the hotel's common areas were clean and smelled great. Unfortunately, the service did not match. Restaurant and hotel staff often seemed bothered when we asked questions. Breakfast at the café was particularly frustrating; we waited 20 minutes just for coffee in an unbusy room and spent another 15 minutes at the register trying to pay while the hostess ignored us. Because of the poor service and room quality, we likely won't stay here again.

This place is a dump. Run down. Charged an additional $80 in resort fees for 2 nights. When asked what was included in those fees, was told use of an in-room safe. My room did not have a safe but still charged. Phone in room worked intermittently. Beds are more like twins, and they gave us 4 pillows for 4 people. Had to request twice (in person because phone didn’t work) to get additional pillows. Oh and the entire place smells like your grandma’s ashtray.
