Deplorable conditions. Chipped shower tray, No towel tacks. Wafer thin pillows, only 2. Thin blanket. Very small. Uncomfortable bed, Out dated appliances, nasty towels, just truly awful. I want some money back. The property should be condemned. My sister stayed at a cheaper place it was partial and cheaper.

Room was filthy, musty & mold smell was awful. A/C unit even smelled when turned on ! Walls dirty all areas . Upholstery on sofa bed disgustingly dirty. Mattresses were lumpy , even had a plywood plank under sofa bed for support.(Motel full occupancy no changing rooms)

Seemed to be pet-friendly. Room 2 was small, but clean. Shower was tight, and the door didn't stay shut unless you locked it from inside the shower. Overall, for a place to lay my head for a night, it was good. Small, dorm-sized fridge, two-burner \"range\", so it was nice to have a \"full kitchen\" if I wanted to cook my own food instead of eating out.

Parking lot is odd but there is parking! Bed was a trundle bed where I hurt my legs every single time I got in and out. Sorry to say there is no way I could do more than one night with the bed framed like that. Awesome location to the best of Ocean City Boardwalk, that was fantastic!!

Really wish there were pictures of each room so you would know what you’re getting. Our room was functional, but it was very tight for 6 people. Appliances worked, but some looked very rough (rust, etc). Pool had very limited, and unpredictable hours. Location is nice, not too far to beach, and walkable distance to restaurants, stores, and a church. We had a nice trip overall and will probably stay again, but hopefully in a different room.

When Expedia's charges got added, the nightly charge for this really old ( though clean) motel went from $ 137 to $ 180. Expedia fees were exorbitant ( $ 43 for one night).

For the price compared to other hotels I guess you get what you pay for. The problems that I found was the carbon monoxide detector was placed very high on the wall rather than positioned at a lower level on the wall where it should be. Also the shower door was difficult to open. It was stuck on something and you had to push hard to get it to release. Lastly, the shower head had mold on it. That should be clean regularly.

The motel we stayed in was very small. Furniture had to be moved in order to use the pull out sofa bed. The couch had tears and stains in it. There wasn’t a real mattress on the sofa bed. It was the most uncomfortable sofa bed I have ever slept on. I could feel every spring in the sofa bed. The shower was very dark and way too small. There was no bath tub, which made it difficult to clean young children. The best part of the stay was the quick and convenient walk to the boardwalk and beach.

Unfortunately we didn’t get to experience the pool because the weather was bad. The room was clean and had all that you could need - it was small, but was only intended for one person. The shower was tight and the toilet was very low to the ground. I would definitely stay here again. The area is very walkable to the boardwalk, shopping, and places to eat.

The room was filthy, don’t wear white socks that you care about, and bring your own sheets. Hairs and crumbs in the bed as if they had just been brushed out.
If you have a large SUV or pickup truck I highly suggest you look elsewhere, the parking lot is very tight and only allowed one parking pass per room, so if driving separately plan ahead.
Overall the staff is very nice and it’s a bed to lay your head but spend a couple more dollars for something else if you can.

My boyfriend and I came to ocean city new jersey for my birthday and it didn't disappoint. Thw sifting sands was a great place to stay. The room was spacious and clean, the staff were super nice and helpful, and the pool was amazing. We were two blocks from the boardwalk. There are plenty of shopping and food places so close by. We are definitely staying here again next year!

Smooth and early check in with professional staff. Room smelled nice and was clean. Ac worked really well and even though it sounded like a white noise machine, it didn’t make any weird noises. There was a tile missing in the shower which was very small and it was hard to find the right temp. There was a half stove, sink microwave and mini fridge. 7 minute walk to the boardwalk. This is your typical, older, old-school shore \"mom and pop\" shore motel. Although the room was dated, everything was clean, in good repair, and comfortable. We had a small two-room unit, with a queen bed in its own (small) room and a queen bed in the main area, which also had a small kitchenette with a two-burner stove, coffee maker, etc. Absolutely nothing for us to complain about as the amenities matched our expectations for the price. Convenient location a few blocks from the boardwalk and a few blocks from lots of restaurants and shopping options. We'd stay there again.

I have stayed at Sifting Sands during the MSBike ride for a decade. My family likes the stay there. The pool is great. It's close to the boardwalk. And it a great place to bed down while visiting Ocean City. The rooms are small, but they've always maximized bed space.

I had reserved a pet friendly room which they didn’t realize at check in and then charged $150 for two nights. Door mats outside are nearly all ripped in half. Not sure why they don’t throw them out…the place is what it is: a cheap shore motel.
