it was near the markets. The hotel needs an upgrade. some of the staff especially the one's in the front desk needs to be more knowledgeable regarding the places near the hotel. for example the restaurants. Some of the staff needs to learn to speak english since a lot of tourists visits Bangkok.

Facilities are minimal for the cost we spent. Front desk people are not customer frindly. No microwave Facilities available. poor water drainage at the bathroom floor. It is all the time wet. Keep 1000 bht refundable deposit. When compared to the hotel we accommodate prior to this hotel for the same price, condition of this room was very bad.

The aircon not cold.. the lifts are inbetween flights of stairs.. so u need walk stairs from yr lift to yr room no matter which floor you go. There are shuttle bus to several places and for weekend free shuttle bus to chatuchak market. The staffs are wonderful. The hotel is very near the airport railway train. I will stay again

I was staying at the end unit which was next to the exit door, with the staffs and trolleys going in and out of the exit door making me loose my sleep. The counter lady that I spoken to was so unhappy when I requested for a change of room though it was my third day of say already

Good location near the Airport Rail station (can enter the hotel through the back door through the cafe).

Good location near streets selling street food (day and night), as well as buying clothes at the Pratunam Market (day) and night market (night). Walk further down and you will reach Platinum Mall, Central World, Big-C.

Not recommended if you have accompanying travellers (e.g. elderly parents) who have issues with climbing some flights of stairs, which you will encounter both at lobby level and the level to get to your room.

If you are staying at lower levels, you may encounter a number of mosquitoes in your room.

If you are intending to stay at this hotel, book through online travel sites rather than their website so that you have a seamless pleasant experience without having to verify and settle your bills on the spot, even though you have previously submitted your credit card details on their own online system.

The hotel also requires you to present all travellers' details during check-in.

Baiyoke Boutique is just right beside the Railway Station. Super convenient especially when you have heavy luaggage. The butlers are also very hospital and helpful. This is my 4th time staying at this hotel. I will choose this hotel over others. Value for $.

Staff was great and helpful
Short walking distance to the train station (just make sure you get off the west end or crossing the street will suck)
In the middle of little India

The cons:

No hot water (or the water heater was broken)
Internet service was quite spotty

It’s location is only good because it’s near the airport link and for the shopping. The hotel is rather old, toilet leaking, in room Wifi unstable and overall rather run down and upgrading must be made. I have stayed here several times over the past 10 years but won’t want to stay again for my next trip as there are much better boutique hotels around this location for similar prices.

Location wise is good. Except for the old building interior and exterior.... there were cockroaches crawling on the wall. And the kettle was horrendous. Small insects crawling inside..... a big turn off. Gave the chambermaid my instant noodles... zzz. Price vs loc is 👍. Price vs quality is 👎. No toothbrush and paste. Acceptable for non fussy ppl and ppl without no ocd....

Conditions of the hotel were pretty rundown, lack of maintenance. When room toilet ceiling leaking, calls were made to housekeeping (phone was engaged), front desk (nobody picking up the calls) and operator (nobody picking up the calls). End up i had to go down to lobby to inform them. Sent several emails to them regarding on the room arrangement, but not a single email was replied. During check in the staff claimed that one of our room has checked in. But all of us arrived at the hotel together. So who has checked in? There isn’t any direct lift landing to your floor. You have to carry your luggage or your stuff from your shopping and climb the flight of steps. Not advisable for people who has to walk problems. Overall terrible experience.

The hotel is located at the back alley thus making accessibility a problem. Need to walk thru dark alley in the evening. Expect lots of different ethnic races. Hotel room is simply furnished and musty smell. Toilets are eerie. Staffs are very friendly though.
The advantage is the close proximity to the shopping belt e.g Platinum Mall & Pratunam.
If you book thru expedia, do not expect late check-out requests to be granted. Evidently, only guests who book thru their website are granted late check-out.

First, floor so dirty many dust. Then, bathroom inside don’t hv toothbrush and toothpaste. Third, we stay about 3night , for the bathtub, housekeeping do not Everyday clean up the bathtub. When we bath feel sticky， not washed. Fourth, bedside no socket to charging, for us is so an inconvenient. Fifth, my room is 807, an aircon is very bad. Every night the sound is loud and we cannot sleep. We hv try call to customer service, request change to another room, but the staff say call repair first, after repair is okay, but only a few hours. Then is same thing sound so loud.Sixth, when we reach hotel , go down from taxi , do not hv any staff help us bring luggage go in hotel! We check in and go up the our room! Do not hv any staff bring us go up, all something like self service! At last we urgent need faster go to airport. Then all staff slowly swallow，to help us，we also hv ask the staff,we need go to airport need faster. Your staff also slowly ,use about 10-15mins to check out. Conclusion is so sad, very disappointed！

Average hotel near the airport link

Booked this hotel for one night as I was travelling through Bangkok. I chose this hotel mainly for the location as I had to take the airport link early in the morning. On the way there I found it hard to locate the hotel, I had to go via Baiyoke Sky. Check in was quick, the room was a good size, it could do with some refurbishment or a lick of paint but it’s not bad. Bathroom had hot water which was all I needed. When I went to get my welcome drink at the café it took ages until a member of staff came to serve it, it’s not unmissable. I didn’t have breakfast there as I had to leave early, check out takes longer than normal as a member of staff checks the room so bear this in mind if you’re in a rush. Also take earplugs as some other guests were partying so loud I actually had to go out twice to tell them to keep it down.

Very bad sound insulation where noise from corridor clearly heard in room. Overall hotel seems to be very dark and old. Need to walk a dark alley to get to the hotel.
Basic amenities are available with hair dryer, towels, fridge, soap, TV (small), safe, open cupboard, airconditioning.

Hotel layout is where the lifts are half a storey from every floor, not very convenient for older occupants as need to climb up and down the stairs to access lifts.

My first travel experience was awesome. Me and my husband celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary in Bangkok. I travelled from Philippines to Bangkok while my husband travelled from Doha Qatar. I was a day early and was fetched by a sister inlaw's friend.Having an alone time for 2 days I was able to explore nearby malls,sidewalks and even the strain station. I did some little adventure by going to the airport alone by train to meet my husband.It was really a good choice to book a hotel that is so near to the train station. We booked some tour packages at the airport and had great time to explore Thailand but what we enjoyed most are the walks,street foods and the night markets near the hotel. We also ended our travel by going to the airport by train. Not only did we saved money but we also get to the airport fast.Surely we had a great anniversary celebration experience and I believe that it started by choosing a hotel that is conveniently located near the airport rail link and affordable.

You get what you paid for

Location is great, but the room needs refurbishing. Bed linens especially throw pillow cases are not clean, room is dusty and smelly. The walls needs to be repainted and change lighting as it is dark wspecially hallways. Elevator is uncomfortable especially for senior citizen or disabled. The receptionist does not allow extra key card and speaks limited english. The bell boys are very helpful and has initiative. The hotel has potential but management needs to consider renovation to improve the physical appearance of the rooms. But since the price is cheap this is ok for budget travellers. No worries if you will just use the hotel for sleeping and taking a bath purpose only, still better than hostel. Be also warned that this hotel is not sound proof so not good for a light sleeper. You can hear allthe banging of the doors from the other rooms and even conversations of guests from the hallway. Do not expect \"view\" as this hotel is near market streets, train station, school and railway.

The hotel is situated very near Pratunam Market. Ok for shopping if that is what you want. Breakfast room is very nice and breakfast buffet is good. But the staff at check in and check out seem very unfriendly. Definitely not The Land of Smiles. The rooms are very dark and feel and smell dirty. The wifi is very poor and often lost completely.
Not good if you are travelling and need to book your next place.

It's the second time I've booked this hotel. Although this hotel is older in terms of design, it's still comfortable for the price. Clean and comfortable. Hotel staff is attentive as well. Hotel is conveniently located behind baiyoke sky hotel, which is known to all drivers. Excellent street food and wholesale market both in the day and night located just 5 minutes away from the hotel. However on this trip, I was very annoyed by the rooster that keeps cawing at odd hours. You will occasionally hear the train going by as well. Both the hotel and cleaning staff is fast and efficient. This hotel isn't seniors friendly. Because of the bathtub and flight of stairs that requires some climbing. It should be taken into consideration if you are traveling with older people like me. There are a lot of massage places surrounding the area as well. I still like the hotel very much.
