We asked for a quiet room and were given a large room with balcony on floor 6. Everything worked, staff were friendly, Pool area was nice with umbrellas for shade.
Location wise, it’s a 10 minute walk from the Airport bus stop ( 60 baht each way) and lust a few metres into KhaoSan road.

The hotel is in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Khaosan Road and counts with a 7eleven shop, a nighclub and a relaxing terrace with a pool and good music on.
The room is unique, the bed was extra comfortable, the shower pressure was great and the staff are gentle.
It was a bit loud at times, but I had already known it due to its location. You have all the amenities nearby and also a MC Donald's in place. I would stay here again!

Being here during Songkran, I expect it to be busy and it doesn’t disappoint however the sanctuary of the lobby of the hotel provided at 7:11 and McDonald’s as well as a great Irish bar upstairs meaning you could enjoy all the festivities without having to constantly walk around getting wet. Staff are very friendly. Rooftop swimming pool is excellent and the room was a little dated was comfortable.

Right in the busy street of Bangkok. Room and rooftop pool were very clean and comfy. Staff were friendly and spoke good English. I would recommend ear plugs for sleeping at night as corsan road is booming with nightlife. Even with this I had a very enjoyable stay. I would highly recommend yo anyone wanting to experience the rush of Thai nightlife as it is right in the centre of it. Took my parents and my partner here and we all thoroughly enjoyed.

So it’s right on Khao San road. It’s loud until the sun comes up basically every night. Ear plugs weren’t enough for me. Other than that, everything was great. Decent gym. Within walking distance to a lot and plenty of public transport right at the hotel parked and ready to go somewhere else. It was clean and the ac worked well. The only bad thing was the noise but I risked it knowing it would probably be loud so that’s on me.

Considering it’s smack dab in the middle of one of the crazies walking streets in would It’s definitely not perfectly quiet. You can hear the road especially on the weekends, but it it wasn’t to the point that it affected my sleep. The staff was awesome and the pool is an absolute lifesaver, and feels like an oasis in the middle of KhaoSan Rd..

Really enjoyed this property. The rooftop pool is a great escape from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok although located right in the heart of Khoa San road. The rooms had a ton of old charm making for an excellent stay aside from the noise at night from the clubs on the Main Street.. overall wasn’t a major issue though would recommend!

Used to be a favourite but now far too noisy

I know a hotel on Khao San Road is going to be noisy (my husband and I have stayed at Buddy’s numerous times previously) however the noise level from their OWN nightclub was unacceptable. It went on till 3am with the bass vibrating off everything in the room. I doubt being on floors higher than 2 would have made any difference either.
The rooms are nice enough if a little rough around the edges these days. Should also mention the friendly staff and the nice guy out front who helped with our bags.
We’ll not be back to Buddy’s again unfortunately - end of an era for us.

Enigmatic lodgings. Don’t get caught by surprise.

Buddy Lodge is in a backpackers district and sits directly on the street where there are nightly markets and pub entertainment. That means very loud music until the wee hours of the morning. We loved our room for everything except the noise. The lodge is well positioned for exploring but request a room at the back of the lodge to dodge the noise. We were offered another room but we grinned and bared the situation. Great staff and a very delightful room sans doof music.

A great place to stay when in Bangkok. As I was solo travelling I wanted to be where all the action of Khao San Road was so this was perfect. Great location.
The room itself was clean and spacious, with complimentary water being topped up every day.
I would happily return when in Bangkok and recommend to friends

This hotel is in a great location and the rooms are nicely decorated and very clean. The staff is incredibly helpful and made everything so easy for us! My only complaint is that the walls are thin, so, for example you can hear when the phone rings several rooms away.

Hotel is well located in the center of the khao san road. it very noisy at night, even when we got room on the 5th floor and it was in the back. the pool is great, big and very clean.
The room was ok, not the biggest but good enough for 2 adults and a baby crib.
This hotel is good option if you want to stay in the middle of the action.

The room was far enough off of the street that the noise from the road was not a factor. The rooftop pool was great after a day out. If I was staying on khao san again, I would stay at buddy lodge.

Great hotel in a perfect location

The Buddy Lodge is in a perfect location on Khao San Road, I booked a deluxe room and was staying on the 3rd Floor at the front of the hotel and although you was able to hear the music from the street it was not unbearable and did not have any trouble sleeping during my stay. The rooms was very clean with good facilities and the staff couldn't do more to help you. I would definitely stay at the Buddy Lodge again!

If you want a small respite from the craziness of Khao San, I can recommend this - we had a deluxe room with large balcony and couldn't hear the noise in the street. Totally comfy bed, quaint old furniture.

Our stay at Buddy Lodge was amazing! It was the first stop on our trip in Thailand and the location was perfect if you are looking to stay in the midst of things. Yes, the street is busy and loud - you are in a prime location on Ko San Road - what do you expect?! So easy to get around and the roofdeck pool was such a nice retreat. More importantly, my boyfriend and I were forced to make last minute changes to our trip itinerary. The front desk and manager went out of their way to call the airlines for us and assist in calling another hotel for us. We were incredibly grateful as this is beyond their duties and was a major help with the language barrier. I 100% recommend this hotel.

Great hotel on Khao San Road

We were greeted by smiling and helpful staff at Buddy Lodge after a very long flight from England. The man on the front desk spoke excellent English and he gave very useful and relevant information about what to see, how to get there etc. Our room included a very comfortable king-size bed and was clean. The bathroom was fine with a good shower and toiletries provided, and it was clean. Khao San Road is extremely busy, with a very hectic night life but we were not disturbed by this in our room. We only had one night at Buddy Lodge before going to Krabi but we have booked another night before we fly home from Bangkok - we were very impressed! :)

Location is superb for the lively Koh San Rd area of Bangkok(without the associated noise).Happy with hotel apart with a security box issue, which hotel did try to resolve but nevertheless persisted. We had a 3-day stay in Bangkok and knew this place already from the past. Decided to pick this one now as there's also a rooftop swimming pool to enjoy on (always) hot days in Bangkok. There's also plenty of services just outside the building and also the ones in the same building. Quite good base for nightlife and sightseeing.

Right smack dab in the middle of all the action on Khao Son road. Rooftop pool was gorgeous. Hotel manager/staff went beyond the call of duty. Spacious rooms and comfy as a cloud bed. Great social hotel, demographic seems to trend young. Lots of beautiful twenty/thirty somethings on holiday looking for fun. Killer old school Thai Boxing fitness center. Terrific strip of 3 delicious vegetarian restaurants close by as well.

Hidden oasis in Khoa San road

The hotel is getting on in age now but it is in great condition .
The hotel is spotless and the staff are excellent .
The pool and gym are very good , swimming in the pool you would not know you are in BKK , it is so nice and quiet .
The room we had was very quiet .

All you need in Bangkok!

Khaosan road is the best place to stay! Everything happens there, great street food, and there's always people around. Also, very safe because police keep a watch on it all the time :) Biggest and best hotel complex in the best neighborhood!

The hotel is actually a bunch of apartments. The room wasn't too clean and really old, with ants crawling around. and I had a bad feeling after staying there so I left after one night. I can sleep under any conditions, but it was really noisy because it's right on khao san street. I had a great time staying in another hotel on a parallel street which was in a great condition and without all the noise.

If you want the party scene at your door step, with culture, shops, and great food, this is the place for you. Me and my boyfriend, both 26, stayed here for 3 nights and really enjoyed it. I wouldn't suggest any longer of a stay bc the noise and huge influx of people can get annoying. But that being said, the hotel has a beautiful quiet rooftop pool that was the perfect getaway during the hot daytime sun. Spend your days here, and your nights exploring Khao San Rd. and I guarantee a great time! We would stay here again in a heartbeat! Great for any age group. The noise wasn't to bad at night, but if you're a very light sleeper consider earplugs. The wifi worked well thought the entire hotel, including your room. Enjoy!

A good choice for Khao San Road

As I hadn't been to Khao San Road on previous visits I stayed here for one night en route to Koh Tao.
Staff were friendly and helpful, room was basic but functional and clean. Decent rooftop swimming pool with plenty of sun loungers and bar. I had breakfast included in Mulligan's bar and that was ok as well. It's situated on Khao San Road which is shut off to vehicles as a walking street later in the day so bear that in mind if you have heavy luggage.
My room was towards back of the hotel so minimal noise as well.
For the price, I would definitely recommend.

Hotel staff refused to help me book a minibus to the airport with their travel partner (located across the hallway), which I asked them to do only because I was on a tour that would take an entire day, and would not be able to reach them before they closed for the day. I offered to pay as part of my hotel bill upon checkout, and even offered to forward the cash. Unfortunately their unwillingness to accommodate meant that I had to find somewhere else to take my business, after I had come back from a long day of travel.

The air conditioner controls for the room also did not appear to work, as despite any change I made in the temperature, it would be exceedingly chilly after it had been on for an hour. This made it difficult to sleep. The air conditioner also started leaking water all over the doorstep on the first night.

If you are staying in a room that is near the front of the building, near Khao San road, you might have trouble sleeping because there is a bar right across the street that plays music until 4 am.

The pool is nice, though.

Rooftop pool, minibar, TV, comfy bed, hot water and A/C. What more do you need in Bangkok? Good value for the money. Nice friendly staff. You can't get more centrally located. Music outside bumps until 3am, so you may want a room at the back of the hotel, on an upper floor. Recommended!

A Great value

Even if you're not 25, this is a great place to stay. (Buddy Lodge is in the middle of party town.) Buddy Lodge has many options for food and drink and shopping right in the hotel. The in house travel agency was a great source of information even if you aren't buying a package. What a service!! The facilities aren't 5 star, but the staff is. It's very good value for the money and is in a terrific location for the Old City. Buddy Group also has other hotels in the area in different price ranges.

Excellent stay

The hotel is smack in the middle of Khao San road. Easy access to eveything. I asked a room facing the back of tthe hotel not to be disturbed by the crazyness of the street. My room was lovely. The pool on the roof is really nice.
There is a great tour service in the lobby and a shittle bis for the airport. Wi-fi worked perfectly. It was such a good stay, I will be returning on my way back.

The shower heads need to be relocated so water doesn't run onto the floor of the bathroom

Welcome refuge

In the midst of busy Khao San Road, Buddy Lodge was a clean, quiet and wholesome refuge. The pool is great and the rooms are very comfortable and charming.

great location

i loved the hotel but the music from mulligans in the early hours of the morning made it difficult to sleep. this was my onlycomplaint and it would be perfect without the loud music.
