Over the top exeperience

We wanted to have one chateau stay as a cap-stone event accommodation to our trip to France, and this exceeded our expectations. The price was extremely reasonable. We visited Chateau de Villandry, which is only 15 minutes away. The room was spectacular and the service is exceptional. The breakfast each morning was well worth the price, but the dinner was truly amazing. Without a doubt, this was our top dining experience in France, including wonderful meals in Paris, Bayeux and Brittany.

Overall very good indeed but a wedding overshadowed service and facilities for guests on Saturday evening. There were no sitting rooms reserved. The bar was shut.
China cups in the bedroom would be an improvement on paper ones.
The restaurant food was superb on Friday evening.

Being an old building you have to accept to load yr luggage up to 2nd floor. No air condition made it a little difficult with temperatures which weren t normal for this area. The restaurant in the hotel had limited places, so need to help yourself in finding something in near locations.
The inside finish looks a little overloaded with gold and glitters.

Would have liked to use the pool but it was closed during our stay. Recommendations for a local wine tasting event was fantastic. Traveling distance to Loire Valley Chateaus was pleasant.

This is a lovely building in nice rural setting ,however after check in we were then told the restaurant was closed and all they could offer was a very limited room service, part of the reason for booking was the restaurant,so we were forced to drive 20km to Tours to get a meal. One of the staff admitted this was a regular occurrence. On returning to hotel we asked for a night cap,the arrogant duty manger disdainfuly shrugged saying bar was closed,at 10pm! The hotel also advertised WFI, but the experience was more 1990's dial-up , slow to non-existent. An expensive mistake to book this hotel ,but one we will never make again . Stay away from Chateau de Beauvois !

Beautiful, historic building with some lavishly decorated parts. The entrance and breakfast room are very plush. The staff were all fantastic, especially the girls at reception and the man at the pool. The pool is the redeeming feature although they could do with more loungers as it got full quite quickly. The beds were very comfortable with lovely bedlinen. The decor in the corridors leading to the bedrooms and in the rooms and bathrooms is quite dated and felt more shabby than chic. The wifi doesn't work very well in the rooms, nor did the TV. Breakfast is expensive for what is provided (simple continental spread with not a lot of choice). Location is rural but not far from Tours or other smaller towns with lots of fantastic restaurants. Overall, an enjoyable (not cheap) stay.

For Beauvois to deserve its alleged rating
More staff needed to checkin guests at reception we waited too long
The chef needs to employ staff so the hotel offers meals to guests, Two days the kitchen is closed we were offered pizza takeaway restaurant in towns that were near but also closed so after a long drive not good. Next night room service was not room service we were served horribly overpriced microwave pot noodle type meal (Parmenter) for 30 euros. 10/10 for audacity 0 for style or customer service
Drinks are very expensive on the menu and not available, so the more expensive items are offered leaving a bad taste. The chef should deliver the menu he offers; we ordered cheese plate to be told kitchen closed and no cheese or coffee despite spending £250 for 2 for supper and had waited ages to have our plates cleared so poor unacceptable service to guests.
Wifi rubbishly poor or didn’t work so they need make it 21st century working
Overall room nice but no air con so unbearably hot and needs sorted. Staff were polite but seemed to not care. For this price go elsewhere; such a pity as estate beautiful but absent management and could not care less attitude and terribly overpriced. Food utterly pretentious outrageously overpriced and confusingly misrepresented on menu (lobster, crawfish, where was it?) and small tapas portions? Huge disappointment. Loire sure can do better. Avoid

Positives: lovely Château and exclent friendly staff.
Negatives: WiFi is non existent. May seem picky but in a less than 4 star property you just let it pass but unacceptable in a 4 star - decent broadband is a prerequisite. Simply invest in a satellite service and solve the problem easily.

An amazing Cháteau hotel with so much history.
Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Separate bathroom and toilet (with bidet).
Breakfast was great in a wonderful room and very pleasant staff.
All of the staff were really helpful.
The outdoor pool was great with a bar.
Our only disappointment was not being able to book an evening meal - we were told it was fully booked, but I believe they were short staffed.
Front desk recommended places to eat, telephoned and made reservations for us.

Beautiful Château in the French countryside. Are unique place overall but was lacking general maintenance And understaffed. Understandable after Covid. The grounds were little unkept, lights were landscape lights flashing and bushes overgrown.
Maybe not that big a deal to most people but with the price point you expect things to be to a certain standard.

The staff was very good. The chef receptionist Geoffroy was very helpful and gentle. He made arrangements for tours and suggestions in things to do. Also showed us the hotel and cellars. Seghir the Maitre d’hotel and his team didn’t measure efforts to make us feel special like a king and queen in a Chateau. The hotel is beautiful and the restaurant was amazing! We loved it! Very french style. Taxi and private tours can be very expensive around it.

Hotel pricy with quirky bedrooms and very regal high standard communal decorations , especially the dining room . A planned Leisure Spar or indoor pool facility needed to support its standing and comparison in the market. The restaurant cuisine is excellent. My only complaint is that while we were only shown an a la cate menu , from conversations with other guests , they were offered cheaper all inclusive menus consisting of similar choices.

This was a beautiful property and chateau. Beds were extremely comfortable, staff was very accommodating, helpful and nice. I booked this stay as a treat for my son who has always wanted to stay in a chateau and he was not disappointed. He said the Chateau was his favorite part of his trip to France and he did not want to leave it. Overall a great stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a hotel/chateau stay.

My stay at Chateau de Beauvois exceeded all expectations. As they say, everyone deserves a night in a castle! The bedroom was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and they supplied a fan to keep the room cool on the warm summer nights. The breakfast was included in my stay, and it was fantastic. I had dinner at the restaurant one night -- it was incredible! Wish I had dinner there each night of my stay - service and food were outstanding. I didn't spend any time at the pool, but it looked nice! The staff was amazing, helpful, and so patient with my limited French language skills (they all spoke English, but I was hoping to practice my French). All around, amazing place. Felt refreshed and energized at the end of my stay.

Beautiful boutique hotel in amazing grounds. Communal areas are stunning including first class swimming pool. Our bedrroom was a little tired however and the en suite required some upgrading. The restaurant food was first class but beware it is very expensive. For such a classy hotel the WiFi should be much better and air con would have been appreciated as we visited in August. Overall we enjoyed our brief stay.

We enjoyed Chateau Bouvois for 3 nights while touring the Loire Valley. Perched on a hill, the vistas are lovely. New owners have invested millions to update the place but have definitely preserved the old world character. The restaurant was great. Definitely 5 star.

You have to come and live the experience

This hotel is amazing. The staff was very nice. The hotel room was recently renovated so it lookeed as new, with the style of epoque. The breakfast was a 10, many different options to choose. The landscape also amazing. The hotel has some humidity smell in the corridor but it is not in the rooms, so you can have a peacefull night. It is going through renovation so it is going to be better in a months. I recommend visiting this place. Once in a lifetime.

Classic chateau in idyllic setting

Stayed one night on drive through France on route to Spain. Hotel is set in lovely grounds and inside everywhere is full of character, exactly what you would expect from French chateau. Staff at reception, in the bar and restaurant were very pleasant and helpful.
The room was spacious, the bed was large and comfortable and the only things lacking were tea/coffee making facilities and an information booklet. Not a major issue but it is the only hotel room I have ever been in without an information booklet about hotel facilities, restaurant, and local amenities. At reception they said the hotel had changed ownership the previous year and everything was being reprinted, but it seemed odd.
The meal in the restaurant in the evening was first class, it was expensive, but you expect to pay for quality. Breakfast the following morning was not quite as majestic! Not much choice- apple juice and nothing else, and a lack of any staff member most of the time we were eating breakfast. One group of four had to move their own tables to be together with no staff member to assist. There were one or two other shortages and items running out, because there was no vigilant staff around, so the breakfast experience did not live up to the other aspects of our stay.
Nether the less, breakfast excluded, it was an expensive but enjoyable stop over and was a pleasant addition to our drive through France

It could be better

the staff was very nice however it wasn't what we where expecting. We decided to go to this hotel because we wanted a swimming pool too but once we arrived we were told that the swimming pool was under restructure and if we had call they would have told us. So none sent us any email to clarify this detail for us very important. Also the chateu has a beautiful terrace and in all the pictures you see tables outside to enjoy the view, well that is not the reality. Everything is inside, not even a chair outside ...really disappointing.

That being said the staff was exceptional, everyone was very friendly and helpful.

A great place to stay and experience something different. The room was decorated medieval style, very spacious, beautiful, comfortable. Great bed and slept very well.
The only slight let down is the WIFI working on and off clearly having an issue. Flagged to the hotelm, they acknowledged the issue and stated they were planning to link it to fast broadband.
Staff very pleasant, surroundings beautiful and close to most castles to visit. Highly recommended, will go ahead.

Asking for water at least 3x before getting any each time we visited the restaurant, having no a/c (broken and no one fixed it during our stay) and being told that we cannot have a fan because all the fans are broken is not ideal. Also you can't have ANY drinks at the pool.
Restaurant staff need to take a course in how to serve, especially how to serve wine properly. When customers switch wines the wine glasses should be switched too, especially when buying high end wines. We were too astounded to be mad so we just laughed it all off but I imagine many people would be extremely annoyed by this.
Food was amazing. No complaints there.

If you have a liking for old meets new, this place is for you. There is something wonderful about staying in a Chateau with a 'little' history but here they should be shouting more about their 21st Century service. Oh! and make sure you eat here at least once, but preferably more. The chef should be knighted.

À 20 minutes de Tours en voiture, le château est idéal pour des excursions en Loire puisque les attractions touristiques sont dans un rayon d’une heure de route. Petit déjeuner bien fourni pour le salé, plus monotone pour le doux. L’aspect de l'extérieur et du rez-de-chaussé est d’un vrai château, notre chambre familiale au dernier étage était un peu moins élaborée que celles visibles dans le site de l’hotel. Piscine, champ de tennis, parking gratuit, nous n’avons pas essayé le restaurant.

The Chateau is in an amazing forest. The place is beautiful. Missing some modern renovations. The stairs to the room are steep and difficult specially if you have a big suitcase. Room was not very clean, and old fan was all we had to temper the room.
Avoid dinner at the Chateau! It supposed to be a highly demanded place with an eight course meal, all plates had a problem. First one was frozen, second one lack seasoning, third one lack acidity and the main course, beef, was terribly cooked, chewy and under seasoned. I recommend looking for other options if you want the “Chateau/Hotel” experience.

If in Loire, go there!

A wonderful castle with very helpful staff!
Beautiful sleeping and dining rooms. Good breakfast and dinner.
The only issue was a poorly marked and much too hard speed bump, which cost us new shock absorbers, car rental and some valuble time. We were assured that this would be improved, and if so happens, there is really nothing we would want changed!

Fantastisk sted for en vin ferie. Det ligger tæt på mange af loiredalens vinmarker. Fin morgenbuffet. Desværre ikke et udvalg af kaffe og der blev ikke ryddet af bordene. Tjeneren stod bare og kiggede.
God restaurant for aftensmad. Vigtigt at være opmærksom på der er lukket tirsdag svært at finde andet i området.
Meget flot sted og god svimmingpool
