The pillows in the room were horrible, completely flat and there were no extras. I asked for additional at the front desk but they couldn’t supply any. The parking is a public lot across the street, this should be in the description instead of saying parking available.

The staff was super helpful upon check in and friendly. Offers to go next door to their sister hotel to use their larger fitness center and laundry was much appreciated as this hotel has no laundry and a tiny gym. Included breakfast has all the basic usuals, decent. Service was excellent- good suggestions, quick responses and positive. Great location. I suggest getting a room with a view the alternative is looking at a gravel pit.

They charged my credıt card for the whole stay amount even though I paıd fully for the stay ahead of tıme through Expedıa. As soon as the front offıce personel charged my card, I ınformed her that this ıs a mıstake and she should return the amount. She saıd she cannot do ıt. Instead, she said they will return the money to my bank account. I told her that this method will involve bank charges. She told me that they will also pay those charges as soon as I told them about the bank charge. After one month I received the amount minus the bank charges. When I informed them about the bank charge, they said they cannot compensate me.

I contacted the expedia help line, they said they will call the hotel.

opppppppppppA few days later, the manager Soraya sent me the following message: \" Please accept our sincere apologies for the mistaken charge to your credit card and the confusion caused during the refund process. We fully understand your frustration, and we truly regret the inconvenience this has caused.
The refund of 383€ was processed via international bank transfer, as this is the only refund method available at our property. Unfortunately, any transfer fees applied by your bank are beyond our control, and we are unable to reimburse those charges.
We also regret that incorrect information was initially given to you regarding the refund of potential bank fees.\"

Great location, excellent service, friendly people! One advice is to keep a min-fridge in each room that could keep your water, juices, milk, yoghurt, foods, etc. at comfortable temperatures in extreme weather conditions.

Check on A/C status during summer

The hotel is in a fantastic location, with a private (independent) parking garage located directly under it. The rooms were clean & comfortable, and the breakfast was great. My *only* issue was that the A/C was not working for the whole building when we checked in. We had opted to pay at the property, and it was a really warm day…and the hotel rooms have full length glass windows with no ventilation…so the rooms were really, really hot. The woman checking us in did not say a word about it. Once we got to our rooms & realized how unbearable my mother’s room was, we called the front desk & were only told then that the AC was broken, and would not be fixed that night, and no refund was possible. Our room was on the other side of the building & was slightly cooler. We did ask that my mom be switched to an empty room on the other side of the building for the slight temperature advantage, and that was accommodated. Nevertheless, the person checking us in should have been upfront about the situation, because we would have switched to their sister hotel directly across the street. Taking our payment & then promptly refusing to refund, when you are aware that this was a problem does not reflect well on the hotel. Looking through reviews in this hotel, it looks like a repeat concern.

The hotel is hot. My room got to 29c before they moved me across the street to hikton garden. No scrambled eggs available after tourist group cleaned it all out. I have had better stays at this location.

OK. Took a long time to check in since only one woman was there at peak time. Shower a bit grungy in the corners. The room was SUPER hot when I arrived. Took a while to figure out the AC & a while for it to cool down.

A typical Hampton except it's dreadful in three ways. First there are no lighted signs on the building which in all respects like a modern office block. We arrived after dark and couldn't find it easily. Second, only available parking is in an underground paid public garage 300 yards away. Third, the included breakfast was awful. Most items seemed like they were reused for days.

This property is adjacent to the large pedestrian street that the tram runs along. There are a lot of shops and brasseries. The hotel itself doesn't have parking but there is a public parking garage right in front of it that can accommodate your car overnight for about 12euro. It is not far from the old town and everything is very walkable. The only negative I would say is that the hallways seemed to have had the smell of the burger restaurant which is adjacent/under the hotel. Grateful that the smell stayed in the hall and didn't permeate the room. Overall we would stay here again.

The big letdown was the air conditioning was broken for the hole stay.
No open window in room.

The Hampton by Hilton is in an excellent walkable location. The staff (in particular, Antoine) was super friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was great! Only complaint - the air conditioning wasn’t working so it was very uncomfortable for sleeping. Antoine was able to provide a fan which helped immensely.

We had made a reservation for Tours Garden Inn but on arrival the lady I contacted online made the reservation for the Hampton Inn across the street.
Thanks to Rama and especially Camille the situation was rectified.
The first girl (Manon) at reception was at Garden Inn the night we arrived was rude and not friendly. Camille advised us that this was her first night alone and had been on the job for 2 weeks, and that she may have been overwhelmed.
Overall thanks to the two supervisors the stay was good.

The hotel was good overall: Friendly staff, clean/comfortable room, great breakfast buffet. Be sure to read the fine print; I cut my stay in half but wasn’t able to get a refund for the unused days. Also the first day we had to evacuate and there was a power outage. Great location.

No parking and don't pay for a view!

We booked two rooms and paid the higher rate for a \"room with a view\" with the hotel on the Loire River we expected a view of the river. We were given rooms that faced a building. The manager refused to give us what we paid for and refused to adjust the rate for the lesser rooms. Also, no parking! We had to use a public garage a distance away. The elevator was not operational and appeared to have been out of commission for years. We had to manage our luggage up several flights on a very narrow staircase.
The rooms were fine but a little quirky with a barn door that slide between the closet and bathroom.

A great November stay

Hotel was excellent,and by far the best Hilton Hotel ever used.I have used a lot! Does the sun always shine in Tours?
It was very clean and warm and comfortable.Evening service was very welcome after a day sightseeing.
Breakfast was really good,lots of choice and fresh. Also we were able to book in a family member to join us each morning.
Staff were very friendly without being intrusive.
Bedroom was excellent ,comfy and spacious,clean and warm.
We will be returning to Tours a number of times visiting family.We will without hesitation use your hotel each visit.You are so lucky to live and work in such a lovely city.Thank you for making it such a great stay.

L’hôtel Hampton by Hilton Tours Centre offre une excellente présentation et un très bon rapport qualité-prix. Il est idéalement situé, à proximité immédiate du centre-ville de Tours.

À noter également la qualité de l’accueil : Antoine nous a reçus avec beaucoup de soin et d’élégance. Même lorsqu’il doit gérer l’arrivée ou le départ de plus de 50 personnes, ainsi que la gestion des valises, son sourire, son amabilité et la qualité du service restent irréprochables.

C'est la deuxième fois que je réserve dans cet établissement, j'y reviendrai avec plaisir. Hôtel très bien placé, plein centre ville, près de la Loire. Très propre, très calme et pourtant les 2 fois j'ai eu la chambre en face de l'ascenseur, mais je n'ai pas du tout été gênée par le bruit... même le bruit des portes qui claque n'a rien a voir avec les autres hôtels, je n'ai rien entendu et n'ai pas été réveillée par les voisins comme ça m'arrive souvent!! pour finir la literie est très confortable. Le personnel accueillant et aimable! Merci!

L'hôtel est très bien situé dans le centre névralgique de Tours, la chambre était spacieuse et confortable et le petit déjeuner royal d'autant qu'il était déjà compris dans le prix de la chambre. Par contre, à son arrivée,ce n'est pas possible de faire signer à l'hôte une autorisation pour que Hampton prélève sur sa carte de crédit les frais de taxes de séjour et le prix de la chambre lorsque celui-ci a déjà tout acquitté. Ce formulaire n'est pas adapté lorsque le client réserve par une plateforme.A revoir ce point...

Chambre très bien, confortable, bien équipée. Personnel aimable. En revanche il y a une odeur nauséabonde dans le hall d entrée et le petit déjeuner est mal géré - dès qu il y a plus de 5 personnes c est la cohue, seulement deux machines à café dont une en panne, et on mange au milieu d un lieu de passage. Peu agréable.
