The staff was great, very helpful and patient. Reserved 2 different nights but not 2 in a row but for some reason 2 nights in a row were booked, one of them i couldnt stay so he gave me a room as i showed my reservation. Communication was great. Real clean, comfortable. Floor a bit squeaky but amenities worked fine.

My husband, daughter and I loved our triple room at this lovely little hotel. The beds were very comfortable, the room was a good size and uniquely decorated, and it was clean. Wilfred at the front desk was very friendly and helpful and the location was excellent. My only criticisms are that the shower drained slowly and the only towel rack in the bathroom was in the shower, but I would definitely go back to Hôtel du Manoir.

A quaint small hotel in central Tours

Our third stay in this lovely small hotel close to Tours station and the city centre. Very convenient for an overnight stop on the way to/from the channel ports from/to the south! Only small issue is the road noise although admittedly the adjacent streets are relatively quiet.

Typical small French hotel

The lady on reception was extremely helpful, despite her very broken English, don't expect someone in a French hotel in the middle of France in the middle of a city to be able to speak fluent English.
The room was small but comfortable and adequately equipped although there was a significant problem in that it was impossible to sit on the toilet and close the bathroom door at the same time.
There are only six free parking spaces on site although there is plenty of free overnight parking in the immediate vicinity.

There are no staff on the property other than cleaning staff so you are pretty much on your own. So it was a little challenging at first but OK once you got situated and familiar with the place. Overall it is in excellent condition. Bathroom is modern but poorly designed. Lack of trash basket outside of the very small one in the bathroom and no Kleenex were minor annoyances.

Perfect choice for a two-night stay in Tours to visit chateaux of the Loire Valley by train. I chose the hotel for its location: quiet but a 5-minute walk from the Tours station. It was extremely convenient; I took trains easily to and from Onzain/Chaumont and Chenonceaux the two mornings of my stay. When I checked out, I left my luggage at the hotel and was able to retrieve it quickly before my train back to Paris.

The hotel was also well situated for visiting Tours: within 10 minutes, you can walk to the cathedral and the river. On the way (5 minutes from the hotel), I recommend stopping into the garden of the Musée des Beaux Arts, which is very peaceful! From the cathedral, you can walk 10 minutes to the center of the old town for a plethora of restaurants and the lively outdoor night life of this university town.

Though close to the station, the hotel is in a peaceful side street and very calm. There was no noise either from other rooms or from the street - I slept very well! The room (double for single use, on the top floor) and bathroom were spacious by European hotel standards and looked better than the photo on the website. To my pleasant surprise, there was an elevator. Only caveat: I'm a woman of average height (167 cm/5'6) and hit my head badly on the low sloping ceiling when I made the mistake of trying to sit in a chair in the corner. If you're tall, watch out for the beams and irregular ceiling angles on the top floor!

Wonderfully French in every way.

I was met on arrival by the landlady, He seems to have a wonderful and kind character. She is instantly likeable. She offered me some maps and give me a quick rundown of the places to visit nearby. I very much enjoyed the neighbourhood and the city. This is an excellent place to spend the night.

We always stay here en route to Roscoff. The rooms and bathrooms are small but perfect for what we need, staff are helpful and friendly. Sadly, we've only managed breakfast once on our four visits, as always have leave so early but on that occasion, the croissants were excellent. Tours is beautiful and I am sure we will return. Beautiful small hotel, elegant older building refitted with modern amenities. Very short walk on a narrow street to the heart of the city. My garret room was tight but comfortable. Very friendly and helpful staff. Made for a memorable visit.

Nice, simple hotel. Small room.

The location was walkable, but not quite as close as our other two hotels in Tours. My room was tiny and the bathroom claustrophobic, but I did appreciate the elevator. Breakfast was simple, but nice. It is very close to the train station... a bit farther (but still walkable) from the historic neighborhood. The front desk woman was quite helpful and nice. Excellent Wifi.

Convenient and clean hotel but with drawbacks

Overall this is a nice small hotel with character. Good things first, clean room, comfy bedding, good location (5min to train station and vici convention centre) and friendly staff. Things not so good: a) room so small in space, the smallest bathroom I have ever seen! probably because I was in a top floor room b) Promised Wifi did not work for pretty much the whole 3 days I stayed. Staff said it was broken and waiting for repair. c) Very slow in replenishing some food (ham, cheese etc) at breakfast.

For a 2 star hotel we thought it was very good. The owner was very pleasant. The room was clean and big enough. We did not have breakfast so cannot comment. Overall we would recommend and would stay there again. Tours as a city is fabulous and well worth a visit.

A good deal

This is a nice, neat and clean hotel efficiently run hotel at a good price with a good breakfast and limited parking. It attracts French business travelers as well as those biking the Loire Valley and taking classes at the Institut de Touraine (a 15 minute walk). It is convenient to many restaurants and the train station. No complaints and would stay there again.

We wanted a hotel convenient for a late afternoon arrival in Tours by train and a quick visit to the cathedral and the old town next morning before we moved on, which is why we chose this one. It met our needs well: the staff were charming, breakfast was perfectly adequate, and our room provided everything necessary. On the minus side, the room was small (so was the bed) and faced onto a side street, so there was some bearable traffic noise (no air-conditioning, so we had to have the window open).

The hotel is in a convenient location. I was able to check in earlier and the staff was helpful but my room in the top floor was unbearably hot, it was very tiny and neither the small window or the fan helped to make it more comfortable.

Convenient City Centre Location

Small pleasant Hotel within five minutes walking distance to the centre of town. Off the road Car Parking is limited so reserve space when booking. Visiting the old town on foot there are numerous restaurants to choose from. We stayed for two nights and found the City most entertaining.

Great for a Chateaux tour home base!

A friend and I were first time travelers to France, and took two days to visit the castles in the Loire Valley. This hotel was a great for us since we really wanted a charming French hotel rather than a large chain. Its in a great location - a few minutes walk to the Cathedral, tons of restaurants and the train station. The woman at the front desk was incredibly helpful with advice on where to eat and on visiting the different castles. She put us in contact with a guided tour company which was fantastic! (we paid to be driven to one castle, but the driver was so nice, she took us to three!) I would definitely recommend this hotel to others wanting an inexpensive, comfortable and clean home base for touring the Loire Valley!

Du Manoir - Boutique At Its Best

Du Manoir is a charming little boutique hotel that is quite a value. The entrance is lovely with a small welcoming courtyard - happy flowers, a tree shading typical french outdoor table and chairs, cobbled spaces for a car or two. Upon seeing this snapshot of french taste and charm you feel instantly reassured that your hotel choice was the right one.

The lobby is not large, but neither is the hotel. It is more like the pretty home of a friend. The two women I encountered at the front desk while there were always extremely helpful. There was an offer to assist with my luggage when I checked in, but I foolishly refused. The elevator is small but adequate. One word of warning, though, if your room is on the third floor. The hallway has a small step down from one level to another, and although it is well marked, I missed it and twisted my ankle and, yes, went down under the weight of my overloaded garment bag. So, do watch your step.

My room was not large, but neither was it tiny. It was attractively and comfortably furnished and had every amenity needed for my two day stay. The bathroom could not be described as spacious, but was truly marvelous - spotlessly clean with brand new shiny white fixtures.

I preferred breakfast in bed to going downstairs, and was rewarded with a generous tray that included all the delicious croissants and other goodies expected of a continental breakfast. Drink service is, also, available in your room.

Du Manoir has my hearty recommendation.

Pour la literie regardez bien les propositions car nous sommes de grandes personnes pour un lit en 140 🙄 donc pas très bien dormis .

Der Hotelparkplatz ist knapp bemessen. Ca. 4-5 Fahrzeuge. Für Radfahrer, Motorrad sicher gut bzw. besser geeignet. Parkzone im Umkreis nachts nutzbar.

Die kreuzende Straße ist gefühlt zu stark befahren.

Personnel au petit soin et de bon conseil.
Seul bug, j’ai réservé à 20:48 et en arrivant vers 21:30, j’apprend que la réception était ouverte que jusqu’à 21h😢.
Bref, le système de réservation d’hôtel.com pourrait avertir et mettre des Warning.
Après une attente, la personne en charge de la réception est venue gentiment nous accueillir.
Si vous êtes sensible au bruit, prendre une chambre côté cours.

Les images de votre site ne correspondent pas à la réalité in situ. Nous avons demandé à changer de chambre [avec surplus!!]. Pour lé prix, au final, nous n'avons pas trouvé la qualité vantée. Chambre et S de B vetuste.

En revanche, malgré les volets, difficile de ne pas être réveillé par nombre de personnes qui ont défilé régulièrement dans la rue, pourtant d'apparence calme. Un triple vitrage s'impose.
Sans parler du parquet de la chambre du dessus qui grince au moindre mouvement de ses occupants
