Our hosts were very accommodating. We were happy to have towels and a basket available to take advantage of the lovely beach and sea. Each morning we were presented with the most delicious breakfast. The proximity to the train was easy to manage. The shopping and restaurants were right outside our door. We hope to return again!

We could not have been happier with our stay! Right in the heart of old town, you’re a five minute walk from the beach and a ten minute walk from the train station. The rooms featured a comfortable queen bed, rather than the typical two firm twin beds pushed together. The best part of the stay was the lovely amenities. The continental breakfast was something we looked forward to every day. Freshly made cappuccinos, fruit bowls, and boiled eggs to order, among many other options. The staff was extremely accommodating and kind. We will be back!

Everyone was so nice and the property had lots of unexpected bonuses with fresh orange juice, water, sparkling water and pastries available any time. I also loved the fresh fruit bowl and cappuccino in the morning. The beach towels and bag was also a nice touch.

My stay in Monterosso was amazing because of this hotel. The owner was so kinda and helpful. Our every need was met. This was our favorite place we’ve stayed in all of Europe. The breakfast was delicious. We were supplied beach towels and a bag. There was ice and cold water which was so nice during the summer. The patio space was great to hang out at and the view was amazing with so many plants and flowers.

We booked our room 6 weeks before we went. We are so glad we did. Our train was late to Florence & we missed our connection to get to Monterosso. We were going to get in after the 8:00 pm check in window. We called and they were kind to send someone to meet us & get us checked in. The cutest young lady who even offered to carry a bag up to the 2nd floor. The lobby is quaint & right off the lobby are the rooms. Our room was so charming with a loft where the bed was. If you have issues with stairs, it may not be for you. Everything was clean, comfortable & the view from our room was amazing. It overlooked the street w/ restaurants and shops. There is a blow dryer in the bathroom which was convenient. There is shower gel available. Water pressure in the bathroom was incredible! The balcony off the lobby was just wonderful. They provide hot tea, water & I think coffee juice all day. There are snacks available throughout the day like fruit and pastries. My favorite part was breakfast. The owner cuts up fresh fruit for you along with soft, medium or hard eggs for you in the steamer. There are fresh pastries & many filled. The fresh meats & cheeses were beyond delicious as was the fresh honeycomb available. We put the yogurt over our fruit & it was so good. He makes your coffee - all kinds. I'm not a coffee drinker but my husband enjoyed it. My husband & I wished we could have stayed longer. We'll be back someday! Thank you for making our anniversary special!

FANTASTIC HOTEL EXPERIENCE
The facilities were wonderful and very clean. The rooms were large and the bathroom was large and comfortable. There is a beautiful patio with tables and chairs for relaxing and eating, fully equipped with beverages and an orange maker for making fresh juice from the provided oranges. The included breakfast was excellent and was served in a beautiful dining room. Food and fruit was available in the dining room 24 hours a day, as was the use of the dining room. We were there on Easter Sunday and the owner gave a gift of 2 locally crafted dishes/cups filled with chocolate eggs and wrapped in cellophane, tied with ribbons to look like an egg shaped basket. He is a very gracious gentleman, anxious to please.

The property was exactly like the website and it felt like a bed and breakfast only having six hotel rooms. The breakfast was simple and yet so charming. The location is in a nice quiet area away from the touristy hotels.

Although we enjoyed the town, our rental car, which we parked in a spot recommended by the hotel staff, ended up with three dents overnight. This was particularly frustrating, given that there were only three cars in the parking area.
Overall, while the town was lovely, the lack of organization and these issues made our stay less enjoyable. I would recommend the hotel to improve its communication with guests and ensure the safety of their parking facilities.

Lots of variety for breakfast and the host even cuts up fresh fruit and makes excellent cappuccinos! They also have discounted train passes and hiking permits. We also loved the beach bag and beach towels they provide for use.

The location is excellent. The staff was extremely accommodating and helpful. The room had great AC, a comfortable mattress, and a beautiful Italian fresco painting on the ceiling! Wow.

Lovely family owned 6 room hotel with beautiful shared dining terrace looking down on Via Roma. We loved our Monterosso room with alfresco ceiling-but beware - King bed is upstairs in the open loft with bathroom downstairs so you must be comfortable with stairs. Giovanni was up to serve espresso or cappuccinos every morning and offer fresh fruit cups along with the nice Italian style buffet. Would definitely stay again! Feel fortunate to have enjoyed it for 4 nights.

The inn has a beautiful terrace over looking the street where they serve an amazing breakfast each morning, the owners/host are warm, welcoming and provide any assistance needed. I couldn't imagine a more ideal stay in Cinque Terre.

The property felt like home, except at an exotic location. The hosts were very gracious from the moment we arrived - offering us snacks and drinks in the lovely dining room and delightful patio covered with beautiful plants. The sad part was that we could only spend one night, just enough to see the beautiful coast but not enough to explore all five villages. We hope to return soon!

We loved this bed & breakfast. The whole place is beautifully decorated and lovingly cared for by friendly, knowledgeable owners and staff. The breakfast--both the fresh, delicious, and generous offerings and the lovely covered patio--make a great start to a day of hiking and exploring. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. You do need to be able to climb two flights of stairs to enter the hotel, but you need good knees for Cinque Terre anyway.

We took the train to this hotel, from La Spezia. To be honest, I thought it was very close but it’s a bit of a walk with suitcases. There is no elevator, but the lovely hosts helped us with our bags. They were very accommodating and the area is lovely. The breakfast was good and the room was very clean. They had all the extras - like towels for the beach.

Our second visit here. We came to Monterosso on our 5 week trip simply to stay here again. Giovanni and his wife are fabulous hosts, providing a clean and comfortable room and a fine breakfast on a lovely terrace that overlooks the avenue below.

The location was excellent — a ten-minute easy walk from the train station and then in the center of town. The staff was WONDERFUL. The breakfast on the patio was a very ice treat. I would recommend this Inn to everyone. It is worth every last dollar you pay for it.

This hotel is in a great location, breakfast on the terrace every morning was a real highlight of our trip and the owner is so accommodating and helpful in offering any tips about day plans around the Cinque Terre.

Nice little family run inn. Clean and comfortable with old world charm. Nice breakfast. Plenty of hot water and heated floors beside the bed and in the bath. My only complaint was the mattress. It had a low spot on the edge where people sit down. It was quickly fixed by stuffing a small pillow underneath. Highly recommend this place, and would certainly stay there again.

Our host was very friendly and helpful. There was a very nice breakfast spread in the morning. The room was very spacious and clean. There was a mini fridge with complimentary waters. The only problem we encountered was that bedroom was upstairs and everything else (bathroom, wardrobe) all downstairs. Locanda II Maestrale was above and beyond our expectations. We had two rooms, one for my husband and I, one for my sister and her husband. Giovanni, the owner, helped us up the stairs with the luggage and quickly and courteously checked us in. It was fairly late and we were exhausted. He had been waiting for us. He showed us some maps and gave us a quick run down about hiking, the train, and boat schedules. He was very warm and welcoming. Our room was beautiful, immaculate and cozy. In the morning we were surprised by a beautiful array of fresh fruits, and fresh baked goods,cheeses, meats, yogurt, cereal, and anything else your heart could desire. He took our orders for coffee, cappuccino, etc. We had freshly squeezed orange juice. We ate it all on the covered balcony. It was all so wonderful! I could go on and on. We later met his wife, who was just as kind. If you stay at Monterroso, stay here, if it so beautiful. You will absolutely love it!

Wonderful, clean and comfortable hotel in the middle of town, about 10 mins walk away from the train station. Perfect base to explore the other villages in Cinque Terre. There is one flight of stairs and no lift, though the lovely hosts can help you with your bags. Breakfast was delicious with a good selection, and having freshly squeezed orange juice during the day on the terrace was a bonus!
