Bay Air Motel was just a whole in the wall type facility that totally ripped me off. On a double booking mistake, the owners refused to refund me my money when they were fully aware of that this mistake had taken place. Additionally, the motel offered virtually zero amenities and felt like just a roof over your head situation.

The place is older than some, but is clean and not run down. It is a comfy stay for a good price and it is convenient to shopping centres and eateries.

The service and cleanliness was fine, but rundown old fashioned rooms with scary entrance and hall ways, felt like I was going to be attacked walking to room. Whilst checking in had a weird man standing at a door about 3 rooms up just spying. No extra locks once inside , I know door locked itself but the extra lock would have been nice. Bathroom was old and dated as well as bedding.

Whilst the motel is showing signs of age it is spotlessly clean and well appointed. Check- in was friendly and efficient. The motel is two stories and has no lift, so those with mobility issues should contact management to ensure ground floor rooms, I am sure that they would do there utmost to accomodate. Parking is plentiful, but open to the street.

Lady who booked us in was absolutely lovy to speak with and very informative. Community laundry also had 2 microwaves and a toaster available as none in the room. Rooms were on the smaller size but still good for a nights stay. A older motel, but had all you needed for a night or a few stay. Used our key tag at the RSL across the road to get big discounts on food and drinks. Book if attending as they get very busy. Would recommend for staying.

We’re both over 70 and weren’t told or didn’t read there were no lifts. We had to walk up three flights of stairs as were told no ground floor units available. I have a heart condition and a pacemaker. . Were told ‘next time ask for a ground floor unit’
No wardrobe just a U shape bracket for clothes carpets and sitting chairs stained and we had to wear shoes as carpet felt dirty and greasy. No safety chain on door for added security. It was very windy for our stay and windows and door continually rattled. A shelf in the bathroom would make putting toiletries more handy. Insect screen torn. Small well worn but clean bath towels. No caddy in shower for own products. This is not the owners issue but on the Thursday night a small dog barked 6pm to midnight. Not great after driving 10 hours. A microwave would have been a nice addition. Tried to make ice but on our departure day the ice hadn’t set

Bronwyn and Bay were very welcoming when I arrived. The location was in close proximity to my reason for being there and I InJoyed a pleasant stroll in a nicely kept neighborhood with lots of greenery. My needs were simple and well met. I recommend it to anyone staying in the area.

Staff lovley and room was clean. Booked a single room and got a 2 room which made the place too small in the are we needed to use. We had an area around our bed and that’s it. Our bathroom faced the taller building next to us and we had no privacy from anyone seeing us take a shower or on the toilet because there was no screen or curtain to close it had a see through lace curtain that’s it.
