The hotel was perfect for our needs as a group of veteran football players on weekend trip.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
It was convenient for the airport and a 10 /20 minute walk to main bars and restaurants.
The area next to the hotel looks like it is be rejuvenated with new apartment blocks being built, but that wasn’t an issue.

Don’t expect much, and you won’t be disappointed

The hotel was cheap, clean and basic. But it was nowhere near old town or even the port - in fact it was a good 25 minute walk, and I wouldn’t like to walk back on my own. There was no kettle in the room, no wifi and no air con. The towels were changed every day and the staff were friendly, but I would rather have had wifi and reused my towels. The walls are paper thin, the main road is noisy, the place is still being refurbed so a bit tatty, and the fire door to the stairs (rather than use the slow lift) was continually locked which I’d suggest was a fire hazard.
So while it’s cheap, you might want to pay a bit more for some basic amenities!

A hotel that’s under renovation and it absolutely needs it. Cheap. That’s about where it ends tbh. The TV had teletext!!! Massive upgrade taking place so the place is a bit of a dive at present. Am sure in time it will be decent. Location is good, slightly out of the city centre but handy for the train and bus station.

On the first night we were given ground floor room I don’t sleep the all night ! Constant noise from the road , cars motorbikes plus some young group next door to us constantly shouting and screaming across the corridor. I have asked for change the room next day. The 2 nd floor was bit better but still very noisy ! Addition to that it was very hot the air con doesn’t work . And when we open the window, noise from the road was unbearable. Wouldn’t recommend this hotel . I should ask for some money back !

I stayed for a few nights. The location is an easy walk to the main area but also enough away to be nice and quiet at night. The bus stop for the airport bus is very close by which was handy (it comes every 15mins) so I didn't need a taxi either way.
My room was thoroughly cleaned each day. The bed was comfortable. Only thing was the water temperature in the shower/bath was a bit inconsistent, wasn't a big deal though. They have a kettle you can use in the room but you need to ask for it from reception.
Staff were all friendly.
Overall it's a no frills place that gives you a decent cheap stay in Alicante.
I would stay again :)

The property is undergoing referbishment which does affect its overall score but the staff were excellent and the whole trip was cost effective. A point of concern was the thinness of walls as it was possible yo hear noise from adjacent rooms. It is a considerable stroll from the centre of Ali ante but that is why it's reasonably priced.Our small Pomeranian dog was very welcomed into hotel areas.

Very poor!!!!

The hotel is pulling apart- everything is old and broken. The workers are nice and friendly however, room was not clean.
We could hear other people shouting on the hall at 5am in the morning. Would I stay again? no! I raised it with hotels.com and still no action to my concerns so I am also not sure about hotels.com reply and customer care too.

Hotel is located a 15-20 minute walk from the main city area it’s an easy pleasant walk. No noise issues when we stayed, hotel is in a residential area. Room was in need of a refurb the beds were comfortable, bathroom had mould on tiles and a weird film of dirt in the loo after every flush, don’t bother with breakfast it’s really not worth it

Friendly staff and easy check in. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Good value and I always stay here when I visit Alicante. Only a 15 min walk to centre unlike some other well known budget hotels which are much further out of Alicante. Bus stop for Airport bus is extremely close to the hotel.

Only good point was location

The hotel is in a good location, not far from the airport and within 20 minutes walk of both Alicante port and the train station. It has a good sized car park and check-in was fairly quick and easy. The room and communal areas were reasonably clean and the buffet breakfast adequate. However, the rooms are looking extremely tired and dated and require a full refurbishment to bring them up to modern standards. My room had a distinct smell of cigarettes, which was probably ingrained in the furniture, the sink was cracked and the curtains and curtain rail largely ineffective. I would suggest that this place is convenient for an overnight stay while travelling, but not more.

We stay at a lot of Travelodge hotels in the UK with our pet dog. They are always clean and comfortable. The Travelodge in Alicante we found very convenient and clean for our requirements. I am sure that it will get 5 stars next time we visit - after the refurbishment is completed.

A budget no frills hotel..It is on the route for the airport bus so it was convenient for me. Staff were friendly and gave recommendations for restaurants nearby. It is a 30 minute walk to the nearest beach or 10 minutes by bus but you do need to wait around for buses..I did not eat breakfast. There is no fridge or tea/coffee facilities in the room.

Great for us. 20 min walk to the centre but local cafes, etc closer than that. There was a bus stop close by if you don't want to walk. Excellent thurs market 10 min walk away. Free Secure car park with some spaces under cover. The hotel is a little tired but was clean and tidy with a comfy bed. Will stay again

Great little hotel for a stopover. Easy reach to the Airport with a bus stop on the main road outside, and 20 minute walk to Train Station if going into Valencia. Not a lovely looking hotel but it doesn’t charge for that - simple, convenient and to the point. Breakfast was just about suitable, an area they can easily improve.

Cheap, clean, very close to the airport 10-13 mins by car/ taxi, 25 mins walk to centre of town or beach (5-6 euros by taxi) we used the taxi which the hotel ordered for us

The hotel is too far for any decent dining place and also from the beach. The bathroom door was seriously damaged, the walls are paper thin (there was very loud music in the room next to mine and it was like they were talking next to me).
Also, shocked and outraged to see that around 10 AM the housekeeper entered my room WITHOUT knocking although the check out is at noon.

Great option if you’re on a tight budget or travelling from/to the airport by car, as there’s free parking included.
Around 30 minutes’ walk from the marina and tourist part of town.
Property showing signs of age but very clean and staff very friendly and helpful.
We had a late arriving flight (10.30pm) and wanted somewhere we could start a fly drive break from, with easy access to Alicante so we could tour the city.
We drove into town (5 minutes) and parked at the marina, then walked around for a few hours, calling in at the beautiful Central Market and castle.

I slept so well at this property. It was about a 10/15 minute straight walk to the centre.

On checking in, there were some biscuits crushed up on the bedroom floor, but I think they were just missed because there was absolutely no other issues with cleanliness.

The room has everything you may need, I would stay here again if I wanted to stay somewhere comfortable, and budget in Alicante.

Very correct for the price. Ample room, clean, everything was fine.
The location is convenient for the airport (bus stop to the airport at 50 mts) and the city centre is 15 mins walking. I recommend it for a couple of days stay in Alicante on a budget or when taking an early flight.

We were only there for one night but couldn't fault the place, staff very friendly and helpful. We had the menu del dia and the food was excellent and such good value. Room was plenty big enough and clean as was bathroom. Comfortable bed and Pillows. Great bar, prices not bad for a hotel. Hotel not in the city centre but not far, didn't take us long to walk. Caught the airport bus to the hotel and it dropped us off across the road from hotel and when we went back to airport the bus stop practically outside hotel, couldn't be easier, not on bus long before you have to get off but you can see hotel on the left-hand side, as soon as you see it ring bell for bus to stop and hopefully you haven't missed the stop, if so just get off at next stop and walk back. Great value hotel and would stay here again when i need a hotel in alicante.

An enjoyable stay the food was outstanding. The temperature in the restaurant and room was slightly too cool for us.
The free wifi didn’t work but as only staying one night was not a problem. Would stay again if needed to be at that part of Alicante.

Overnight stay before a relatively early flight. We chose this hotel as it had free parking and was an easy 15 minute walk to the city centre. Only a 10 minute easy drive to the airport. We didn’t eat at the hotel but had some drinks out on the pleasant terrace which were relatively reasonably priced. Room and bathroom were a bit dated but clean and comfortable which was all we required for our short stay.

This is quite a decent hotel for the price within walking distance of the bus station. We used it as a base for an early morning appointment in the area. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and the staff seem welcoming. We opted out of the hotel food as we love to eat out in the warm Alicante streets - if you do stay here, be aware it’s a bit of a trek to get into the older, picturesque areas. The area around the hotel seems safe and clean. Difficult to judge the nearby drinking and dining options fairly as so many places are still closed due to the pandemic - which is why we headed towards the city centre.

Not so good compared to other hotels at the same level. Either the hotel does not have room service or the service in the room is below the required standard. In addition, when you ask for something in the room you do not get it. For example, the hotel provides coffee and tea bags in the room, but there is no water boiler and, when I asked for hot water I have not received it for the entire period of my two-day residence in the hotel.

It was decent rooms for the price, and free parking which was a plus for us as we were driving to Alicante. The city centre is about a 20 min walk, but there’s shops etc on the way so it doesn’t feel long. Air conditioning in our room was very weak though so was sweating all night.

We chose this hotel as we had a very early morning flight from Alicante airport and wanted a hotel with a bar and restaurant to relax in after a very long car journey.

We arrived tired, hungry and thirsty, to find the restaurant was closed ( on a Friday night) and no recommendations of anywhere close to eat, just a general \" in that direction\" are some restaurants from the receptionist.
We returned to the hotel around 8/8.30pm to be told the bar was also closed.

The room was well worn with a broken mirror and the toilet seat hanging off., and it needed a total refurb.
There was a kettle but no water and tea / coffee but there were no cups for them, just paper glasses. Really ? I am a grown up!
Wifi was virtually non-existent.
Sleep was minimal as the bed was uncomfortable and the room far too hot with no way to cool it. At around 12 there was a huge amount of noise from a group of rowdy men on our corridor. Not great when you need to be up at 4am

We will not be returning and would not recommend - pay a little bit extra and stay at one of the other ( many) hotels nearby.

Nice clean friendly on outskirts of town centre

I just needed 1 night in Alicante town after a week up the coast, I just wanted something basic and clean and quiet, not in the heart of town, and Hotel Campanile was all that.
I didn't eat there, so can't comment on that, but there was a buffet breakfast available and an evening meal also. There was a small outdoors patio near the dining room with adequate seating.
The check-in was quick, the receptionists were friendly, the room was clean and comfy, the car park was on site - a big bonus. Hotel was a bit of a trek to the centre, about 3.5km to the old town and castle but taxis are plentiful and cheap. Only 15 minute drive to the airport, easy to find and well marked.

Really nice, helpful staff, room pleasant with everything we needed. Strange that every time you pop the room card back in to get electricity, the tv turns itself on quite loudly! We had a plumbing issue (sounded like there was a dog barking in the bathroom) and when we mentioned it to the desk, they fixed it while we were out for the day :-) We opted to have breakfast out every morning (we stayed for 4 nights), as what was on offer did not appeal to us as 1 vegan abd both gluten free. Walk to town took around 15 minutes along the promenade, so it was a nice walk and we were glad to be out of the bustle to be honest.

Train station also 15 minutes walk away and we took a train journey to Valencia for the day (£70 for both of us, return tickets).

Castle is well worth a visit, as is Madness Coffee and Thai Corner. Cathedral was closed. Some lovely areas for restaurants around the cathedral area.

Comfortable Campanile

I have stayed here a few times now. It's on outskirts of city and has free parking and I usually catch the very frequent number 1 or 2 buses into the centre from just around the corner of hotel as parking charges are exhorbitant in city. Hotel staff are friendly, breakfasts are tasty and price of 42 euros per night is ok
