A three star not a four star

We wanted to love this hotel. Reading all of the reviews and seeing the high rating set us up for a real shock. We had booked the Villa Suite - over 600 sq ft. We arrive and the air conditioning is not working. Maintenance said that the room as it is on the top floor and south facing can never cool off with the one system. Management wanted to say that we must have done something to not make it work. An employee said “you better make a big deal as they will not listen to you.” They downgraded us to a room with a partial ocean view - half the size and at eye level with the pool and guests. As a gay couple we don’t want to be front and center of the whole group - the Villa was discreet and had an amazing bathtub. This was Friday and we asked what that compensation would be - after five days they finally said - they would only charge us the actual price of the new room. Yes, downgraded and zero compensation. They said they gave us a credit of 340 euros - because we had actually paid for the Villa.

The breakfast was never changed and eggs were always sunny side up or runny scrambled. I asked if they could make an egg more cooked and the staff said - ask the cook yourself.

Mini bar doesn’t exist. Water bottle to fill doesn’t exist. They finally said drink from the tap. Cleaners came every other day bless they forgot about you.

Don’t forget to bring your own pool or beach towel. They charge 15 euros per towel - not refundable. Never will recommend.

Great hotel with good breakfast options and fantastic roof top bar. Our room was spacious and clean but did experience noise when the bins were collected early each morning. Would certainly stay here again, but would make sure the room is away from road side of the hotel. Staff were friendly and really helpful.

A clean and modern hotel by the port of Supetar. Super easy to find once off the ferry. Breakfast pretty good but same every morning. Great views of the sunset from the rooftop bar.

€15 rent for a towel per person for a week was a bit odd. Never had that before. The cleaner then decided to take the towels 2 days before our check out.

Staff all very nice apart from a quite rude rooftop bar staff member. Claiming it was against his religion to drink alcohol when we asked about a certain drink. Also signed for a receipt for some drinks only to be chased into the reception demanding I come clean about have 2 coke zeros when I only signed for one. €4.80 for a Coke Zero when ordering vodka is a bit steep in my opinion anyway.

Shame as the hotel is really good but doubt we will book again.

Absolutely beautiful hotel right on the harbor in Supetar. Gorgeous views of the Adriatic and the mountains across the water. Everything is very well thought out and so well appointed. The guest rooms are so nicely decorated. The staff is very kind and helpful. The restaurant has a very varied menu and a very nice outdoor seating area. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough

We enjoyed our 9-day-stay at Hotel Osam. The staff was extremely friendly (receptionists and waiters, all really sweet). Location of the hotel is perfect, very close to the centre and not far from the beaches.
What could eventually be improved is to add some decoration in the rooms as it seemed a bit too “plain”, however neat.
It also would’ve been nice to have some background music at the breakfast restaurant and pool area.

Hotel Osam is a huge 10!

Hotel Osam is an amazing property in Supetar! My wife and I stayed a few days in November, so it was very quiet, but the service was still top notch. The staff were very attentive and went out of their way to make our stay very enjoyable - even though they were very slow and could have been non-respondent. They were just the opposite - which was super nice.
The restaurant in the hotel is out of this world. We ate our first meal in the hotel due to bad weather - and then we ate every meal there because the food is beyond delicious.
If you find yourself in Supetar - this is the only place to stay.

Wow, what a great experience we had at Osam hotel. Beautiful property, amazing location, the best comfortable bed we had during a week long vacation along the west coast of Croatia. On top of that was Sasha, an amazing witty friendly and welcoming receptionist. She was the cherry on top of the cake.

Not sure I'd be back here because the room, however well equipped, had two windows to the indoor courtyard/common area, so it felt like you were in a basement of the building even though we were on the second floor. We asked about windows opening to the port, seaside or just outside, and they said they didn't have them. Maybe it was punishment for reserving through Expedia--didn't realize they hated the platform that much to take it out on us. Later we saw a room like ours with exterior windows (when the cleaning crew was there)...
Breakfast was good but not excellent.
Service was nice enough.
Parking is a nightmare and so if you decide to go there, make sure to call ahead of time and get instructions.
The biggest disappointment was their pride: the roof top bar. The drink was diluted, hardly any alcohol, and outrageous prices compared to Italy or Croatia. The barman complained about how little he is paid and how terrible it is working there... how sad.

We had a very lovely stay at this hotel. We were upgraded to a villa room which was a lovely surprise. We opted for the half board option which was very good with lots of choice. The rooftop bar was lovely for sundowners! The staff were lovely, particular thanks to Dejun for looking after us at dinner.

We like this hotel having stayed before. There is an extremely pleasant young man who checked us in and provided information and general conversation.The room and general hotel is very clean and we really like the Seaview room with Balcony. Reception staff are very welcoming. We were somewhat disappointed with dinner menu choice and quality and I was quite annoyed when I asked one person if I could have coffee instead of sweet as I didn’t like anything offered. He said yes but the waiter serving us insisted I charge the cost of coffee to my room and was quite offhand

We really enjoyed this property. There is an issue with directions if arriving by car as harbour area is pedestrian only and access to parking is poorly signposted. Aside from that this is an excellent small hotel. We had a seaview suite with lovely views.The hotel is well maintained,clean and fresh. Bed was very comfortable. Restaurant food was all freshly prepared. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Lovely walk into Supetar village nearby.. Thoroughly recoomend

Okay hotel but a couple bad experiences

We liked our stay overall, but had a few hiccups. When we checked in I specifically asked for a room away from the elevator because we don't like being woken up in the morning or late at night by people getting in the elevator. Despite that request, the person who checked us in put up in the room directly across from the elevator. It literally couldn't have been any closer. He assured me, though, that because it's offseason and there were only 10 or 12 people staying at the hotel it would be quiet. Just as I feared, around 6:30 a.m. the next morning a couple banged their luggage into the elevator and woke us up. Then at 7:20 a.m. when we were still in bed the cleaning person inexplicably used their key - despite us having up the \"Do Not Disturb\" sign, and barged into our room! We yelled that we were still in the room and she apologized and quickly left. All in all, for the money we paid it probably wasn't worth it. We wouldn't likely stay again if we were in Supetar.

The Osam has a prime position by the harbour with amazing views from the roof top bar looking out over to the mainland The rooms are stylish, spacious and beds extremely comfortable. The staff are kind , friendly making you feel at home from the moment you arrive . Lastly I was taken aback by how fantastic the food was .. the quality and variety meant we ate there every night as I don’t believe we would have found better anywhere else in Supetar. My partner is a vegetarian and they offered fresh , flavoursome alternative meals every night adapting the menu to her choices. Highly recommend

Just a beautiful hotel! Loved every minute of our stay! Loved the adults only rule, great breakfast! We arrived by ferry, on foot, from Split and it's just around the marina so the location is perfect so you can walk in less than 5 min! Cute restaurant and shops all around! They have a great roof top bar and restaurant at the hotel as well! Highly recommend you book your stay here! We also booked their sister hotel Hotel Milna Osam too!! Great staff, you won't be disappointed!

My wife and I enjoyed three relaxing nights at the Hotel Osam and would thoroughly recommend it for anyone visiting Brac. We arrived in Supetar on the ferry from Split and the hotel is just a stone's throw from the quaint but lively little harbour. We had a room on the front of the hotel with a fabulous sea view and a balcony from which we could enjoy it in the evenings. The room itself was large, modern and comfortable, with a spacious bathroom and great shower. The breakfast was delicious and had a huge array of choice. Staff were friendly and helped us with directions for getting to the other side of the island to visit Bol and Zlatni Rat beach. There was plenty to do in Supetar and we much preferred the vibe there compared to Bol. The little town has several restaurants clustered around the harbour and up the hill. Heading around the coast were some beautiful beaches and the Olive Walk in the next village takes you through olive groves flanked with stone walls. We'd recommend the hotel and a trip to Supetar to anyone visiting the island.

We booked a first floor suite and the room had everything we needed. Very large and clean. Nice balcony overlooking Supetar port. Didn’t use the pool area as only staying one night but it was well equipped and maintained.

I’d highly recommend getting the dinner and breakfast package - dinner was one of the best meals we had in Croatia.

Service was very good and staff welcoming. We would definitely recommend!

Lovely hotel within walking distance of the main ferry from Split. We had a suite style room and it was very large with internatonal TV Stations and big bathroom. We did half board and ate in (which we would rarely do) and the menu was varied and good quality. Best breakfast buffet. Lovely rooftop views.

Lovely hotel, very friendly and helpful staff.
Restaurant was very nice. Pool area is small but never had any problems with sun beds.
Lovely roof top bar overlooking the sea and the harbour.
The hotel is conveniently located for getting out and about via boat, ferry, bus or taxi, all within a 5 minute walk.
The beach and promenade area are also located close by. All in all a very nice hotel.

The hotel was beautifully decorated with a lovely open reception area. We had one of the garden rooms at the back of the property which didn't have a sea view but made up for it in tranquillity and privacy. The seating area outside our room was very secluded and was perfect for relaxing with a bottle of wine after long days of sightseeing.

The selection of food & the service at breakfast were both fabulous, plenty of hot & cold options with excellent coffee.

We visited the rooftop bar once and the view was breathtaking- was really lovely watching the sunset with some tasty tasty cocktails!

Really nice hotel with a modern decor, in a great position two minutes walk from harbour. Staff very friendly and helpful. The room was a good size and kept very clean and we liked the having the fridge and kettle. The sea view was amazing. Dinner was excellent - breakfast not quite as good but adequate.
Overall we had a lovely stay here.

Pleasant location away from the crowds

A pleasant stay in a quieter part of the coast. The hotel was modern and well looked after, with a nice sun deck. Breakfast was generally good. Although quiet at this time of year (May), it is away from the more crowded towns, but in turn means there is less to do, although the ferry services are regular enough to allow for day trips between some of the islands.

Nice hotel, but not for Light Sleepers

This is a really nice hotel in an attractive position overlooking Supetar harbour. The hotel is modern, clean and tidy. Breakfast choice is good and the half board menu has plenty of choice.
We were in a Garden room which I’m not sure if this was what we booked or if it was an upgrade. However despite the hotel’s position, it had absolutely zero room. The small terrace faced straight out onto a tiny courtyard which was where people often walked to get to their rooms and therefore offered zero privacy. This meant we couldn’t sit out on the terrace at all - who wants to come on holiday and sit inside all the time. This room also faces onto a street where school children pass by loudly at 7am and is near the bins where the hotel noisily empties all of their bottles at about the same time.
In addition there are no curtains on this room, only some light blinds on the windows but nothing on the large door. This means at night all the street lights shine in and as soon as the sun is up, the light streams in. Why the hotel couldn’t invest in some curtains, I don’t know?
If you are planning to travel to this hotel by car, make sure you read the arrival details as you must park at a different hotel and they will send a golf buggy to pick you up. We didn’t get charged for this parking, even though another reviewer said they did.
To conclude, this is a nice hotel, but if you are a light sleeper and want to be able to sit outside, DO NOT choose a Garden Room.

Amazing hotel best holiday yet so relaxing

The hotel was more than I expected the staff were amazing and so helpful when we went in sept it’s almost the end of the season but when I emailed the hotel before coming asking about transportation to the hotel from the airport they gave me great advice and to get the airport shuttle bus then you get a ferry boat over to supetar and you get there in a beautiful harbour and it’s a short walk from the ferry to the hotel and it’s right on the seafront. Easy to find and it views and rooms are amazing we were in room garden 3 so didn’t have a sea view room but this didn’t bother us you get a lovely sitting area outside with a comfy lounger outside and the room took our breath away when we walked in it was 1.30am when we arrived we felt like when we get in just want to sleep it was amazing and the chef had made us 2 big fresh chicken salads for us which was in the room ready for us as we had missed the food at dinner this was perfect. the bed was so soft and comfy the food was okay but I never eat every night in the hotel anyway one night we had salad and main course then went to a local cafe round the corner for cake and ice cream which was nice to do as well. it’s not buffet style which was lovely that your food was cooked to order and everything in the hotel was clean and I can’t praise it enough. Supetar was great a bit more quiet than split but it was nice to have the chance to visit busy loud split then get the late night ferry at 9pm or 12am back to quiet supetar.

We Loved this hotel and were very impressed

We had an amazing rest and relaxing holiday at this hotel. The position is superb, you can sit on the terrace eating a meal and the tables are well spaced. Eating dinner, you had the buzz of folks passing on the street which I liked and added to the experience, but sat by olive trees and on the next level meant you were private. (the lights on retractable cover was cool)
The evening atmosphere on at the Roof Top Bar was never crowded, open to the public but obviously one of Supetar's well kept secrets. The views from here were lovely and a great spot for watching the sun go down.
The choice for breakfast was excellent and tasty. We did half board and were so pleased we did. The chefs were excellent and there are some really good fish dishes. The grilled prawns, the tuna, Chicken Ryan all very good. We loved the salad starters, my partners favorite was steak salad but these are a lunch in them selves.

An amazing stay at Hotel Osam

We had an amazing stay at Hotel Osam. The hotel is superb and very well located. The staff was so welcoming and ensured we had a great time. We were allocated a spacious suite in the old building with a stunning view on the marina, couldn't have expected better than that.
The food was delicious. It is always a pleasure to see the guys in the kitchen enjoying making food and sharing this with you.
We enjoyed every minute of our stay.

Great room with a balcony overlooking the beautiful harbour in Supetar. Supetar has a great mix of bars and restaurants and is very easy to get to/from Split. We'd highly recommend staying here.

Well sited hotel with irritating policies.

On paper this hotel has everything overlooking the lovely Supertar harbour. However the hotel is spoils by lack of attention to detail. Separate Wifi codes for each device that have to be re-entered each day, no automatic deadlocks to room doors, inadequate sunshade provision, charging for sun bed towels, and a crowded sun deck.

Inappropriate staff

The hotel is modern and the room was spacious. Parking is offsite which was inconvenient. Also, the gym is off site, approx 1 km away. The air conditioning in our room did not work so it was uncomfortably warm the first night. Not impressed with the owner representative's (Kieko) inappropriate comments to my wife at dinner; calling her \"Baby\", asking her for kisses, and sticking his face next to hers when I was taking a photo.

A gem on Brac

We found the hotel to be spotlessly clean. The staff were extremely helpful, friendly and courteous. We arrived late on our first day but were still offered dinner in the restaurant. We had a half board option and the food was outstanding. Breakfast was cereals, waffles, fresh fruit meat and cheeses, eggs etc and the dinner menu was pasta, pizza, salads, fish and steaks to name a few. The kitchen is on show to diners, and amazing to watch the chefs create their amazing dishes. Miron and the other waiters looked after us very well. They all know there stuff! Roberta was full of information on the area and showed us around parts of the hotel we hadn't seen before we left. The art and lighting they have there, even the couch in reception is fantastic. The location is 5 minutes walk from the harbour with and the rooftop bar is a wonderful place to watch the goings on there not to mention those lovely sunsets. We can't recommend the hotel highly enough, well done to everyone.

From the moment we arrived all the staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The location is ideal and the views from the roof top bar are spectacular. The food was superb. We will definitely stay there again.

Hotel Osam.....an absolute must

Beautifully designed and finished hotel. From check in to check out, the staff couldn't he been more helpful. Delicious food in a delightful setting. The roof top bar is the perfect place for a pre-dinner cocktail or 2 to watch the sunset. It had a really relaxed feel as it was adults only and was a pleasure to stay in. Puts other hotels in the shade and we would happily recommend to others.

Hotel Osam was very beautiful. It's a 10 minute walk (with heavy luggage) from the ferry. Our room was clean and large. Staff was very accommodating and the breakfast buffet had great pancakes, pastries, eggs, meats and cheeses.

Amazing hotel on Brac Island

We had a great time in Hotel Osam. The Manager of the hotel, Kiko, was really accommodating and helpfull. We were also upgraded into a Suite and we loved it. The hotel has an amazing rooftop bar. The breakfast was fresh and so good. We absolutely loved our stay in Hotel Osam:-)

Didn't Get Off the Starting Block

So we booked this hotel via the Hotels.com website some weeks ago. Turned up duly on the day and were promptly told that they were fully booked and our room had be let to someone else. We were transferred to their 'sister' hotel/complex six minutes away with an upgraded room. That happened to be like a holiday camp on the Adriatic complete with wristbands for the all inclusive guys. Total and absolute failure. Hence the lousy review. By all means book this hotel, but do you want to risk being moved to somewhere else that you do not want and have not booked. your choice!!! They will never get the chance again!!! Feel a bit let down by Hotels.com as well. Do you not have any influence over the hotels you use!!!

Hotel Osam - Awesome!

We stayed at Hotel Osam for two nights in August 2014 when the hotel was only about 10 weeks old. The location is amazing - only about a 5 minute walk to the ferry! The room was comfortable, had a balcony facing the sea and pool, and the bed was very comfortable. Lemon water was available each day at the front The pool was very clean as was the large deck and was very quiet with adults only! desk. The hotel's restaurant was phenomenal. We shared the special, argentinean beef, and were blown away! The chef knows what's what! Would love to go back! Brac Island is a very fun, welcoming island paradise only a one hour ferry ride from Split!

Gorgeous hotel with fantastic view

This hotel was an oasis of calm and tranquility from the busy resort. From our arrival the staff, who all spoke brilliant English, couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. The view of the sea and old harbour from the rooftop bar and pool kept us entertained for hours. The food at at restaurant was lovely, whilst the room was very clean and simple but contemporary in design. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

fantastic hotel!!

This hotel was absolutely perfect!! The design is stylish and beautiful, the rooms are amazing, the beds are very comfortable and the staff is incredible. Not to mention the delicious food and beautiful pool over looking the harbour and sea. Nothing negative to say at all about this spot. If you are planning on only a couple nights, plan on on more. You won't want to leave.

Erg vriendelijk en hulpvaardig personeel. Bereid om over alles mee te denken om het verblijf nog aangenamer te maken. Het verblijf was minimalistisch maar schoon en netjes. Ook een prachtig uitzicht op de adriatische zee en de heuvel van het vasteland. Het centrum en de haven was op een paar minuten lopen. Met erg pitoreske en romantische straatjes. Zeker een must-visit voor jonge stellen!
