From the time of check in till checking out it was one thing after another started off went to check in I did call and let them know I would be late she said that was fine to use the phone in the lobby area and someone would come right there get there and tried calling 3 times someone was coming out the main lobby area and just so happened to be a worker her hands was full she was struggling to open the door I went to hold the door open and she rudely starts saying no no step back I told her I was holding the door open for her to her to then ask me what I needed I told her I needed to check in first words have you paid yet I said yes online as well as spoken with someone on the phone earlier that day and told them I was gonna be a little late she then tried calling someone and they didn’t answer a male came in and she asked if someone had the phone that night and he said yes and she said tell her Someone is here to check in and told me to stay there not to go in someone came to the window but only lifted enough where I could hear her and slide my id under for them then slide my id and key cards under and said good night now here is where it goes crazy 1st room keys worked the air didn’t went back down tried calling again for 15 min to let her know that the air in the room did not work she then says ughh okay I guess I’ll move you rooms also still only lifting up to where I can hear her and not see her give me another room same thing in the end I spent 2 hours changing rooms

Horrible! Stunk, beds were like roll out, dirty, entire place smelt like dope. This was the most disgusting place I ever stayed. Ceiling vent looked like it had a fire at some point. Plug-in in restroom also looked like fire. Refrigerator had tons of rust on it. Rooms were old and gross. I’m beyond saddened by the stay. Not one photo on website is close to what this place really looks like.

The staff was great! The room however not so much. When we first checked in, we were assigned to a smoking room. The staff immediately corrected that. But then the room we were assigned to next was horrible. There was remodeling going on, and there was debris on the floor. There was no shampoo or soap. All in all, it was not a good place to stay. We cancelled our reservation, but the hotel would not refund our payment. At this time, I WOULD NOT recommend this hotel to stay at. I have reached out to the area manager asking for the full amount to be refunded. I will allow him 1 to 2 days to reply. After that, I will return to update my review.

The room was dirty. I had to ask for washcloths and cleaner to clean the counter tops. There was 3 people in our room. We had 2 towels, and 2 wash cloths. The toilet ran continuously. There was only a sheet and a bed cover the same thickness of the sheet on the beds. There were only 2 pillows on each bed. Someone across the hall moaned all night. I will never stay in this hotel or its chain again!!! The Expedia price was $95 per night and the hotel rate per night is $45! All around horrible experiences

Room 317: I was devastated! I have never been so disappointed and stressed by the conditions of this facility. Smokers everywhere! We couldn’t get a key to get into our room because the office had been accidentally locked and the computer system was down as well! The clerk tried her best to assist, but nothing made up for the conditions we found. No window curtains, only 2 sheets and no blankets on the bed. The pillows were pancakes. The toilet had not been cleaned, only flushed. Noises all night, constantly drowned by interstate traffic. The sofa bed didn’t work (because it was not a bed at all)
My daughter made the reservation because I had exceeded my limit for traveling by car. Being in the hospitality industry as well, this was quite alarming! We couldn’t leave our hotel room because we didn’t have a key to the room. Because of the lateness of the hour, we had no alternative but to stay until morning. I am left with no option but to request a refund due to the conditions we experienced. No guest should have to endure conditions of this magnitude (short term or not). Please forward the refund to the card on file at your earliest convenience. I am from Atlanta, Georgia and I would not want my business name of Woodspring Suites associated with this facility! This hotel was nasty looking.. the covers were dingy, had all kinds of fur balls on it… a roach running a marathon in the bathroom. The refrigerator had rust marks all on it. The only thing was decent was that the ac was blowing really cold. They gave u 2 sheets to cover up with, there was no comforter… I will not recommend this location to anyone unless u just want to go there to get a quickie then roll out

Cheap for a REASON.

Got the room for my sisters birthday. Was really surprised of how cheap it was but i put 2 and 2 together when we walked in. Customer services were great but we Immediately smelled mold when we got to the room. Pillows were absolutely gross and there were stains all on the sides of the fridge. Holes in walls and a dry rotted curtain fixture, that almost fell on my sister when she tried to pull up the blinds! so we couldnt close the blinds after. Had to wesr shoes and or socks while walking around vecause the carpeting felt moist. The best part was that the bed was comfortable and we had hot water. It was cheap so we stayed. Wasnt sure on why WE had to pay an extra $50 deposit but they need it more than we did. Thank you.

Don't do it! Run away!!! Roaches, smells, carpet felt wet, no hot water, awful. Asked for a non smoking room but the cigarette smell had my asthma kicking so bad I had to use my inhaler. It was so bad we left after 2 hours. When I went to turn in the keys , nobody came out. I used the phone and nobody ever came. The back door was propped open with the luggage cart, so we had to make 2 trips.It was one of the worst places I have ever stayed or should I say almost stayed. I couldn't even ask anyone for a refund because there was nobody there.

I’m writing to formally file a complaint and request a full refund for my reservation at WoodSpring Suites Baton Rouge, booked through Expedia for one night.

I checked in well after midnight and what I encountered was completely unacceptable. The room was unsafe, unsanitary, and absolutely unfit for any guest. The floor was sticky, there were multiple large dead cockroaches, and none of the light switches worked. The room smelled horrific—like a mix of mildew, old cigarettes, and the dead.

The sheets didn’t appear clean, and I genuinely feared for my health. I seriously wondered if the bedding might have lice or scabies. I honestly would have felt safer sleeping in my rental car, and ultimately, that’s what I nearly had to do.

To make matters worse, when I returned to the front desk to report the issues, the woman there said, “I had a feeling you’d be back,” suggesting the staff knowingly check guests into rooms in that condition. That level of negligence is completely unacceptable.

I immediately left and had to drive around Baton Rouge searching for an alternative hotel. Most places were already fully booked, turning this into a stressful, exhausting, and completely avoidable ordeal.

This was the worst hotel experience of my life. I did not stay, and I am demanding a full refund. I also strongly urge Expedia to reconsider listing this property, as it presents a clear health and safety risk to customers.

I was surprised at how. much litter was in the parking lot. I saw someone picking up after I checked out in the morning. The room I was in, was clean, neat, but seriously worn out -- cabinet at the kitchenette has chips, tears, breaks; no bedside lamp, just overhead; musty smell. I think the staff tries, and they were courteous, friendly, but management needs to take long and deep look at the conditions of this property.

Don’t recommend!

Room had just been cleaned but there were NO towels in room. Went to front desk and asked for towels and was told to bring towels down for exchange….there were none in room how can I exchange. Toilet would “screech” for 5 minutes after flushing. Yes there was a microwave but most suites I have been in with stove provide a pot to cook in or at least paper plates and plastic ware, just saying.
Let’s just say this room needs work. Paint bubbling in bathroom above tub. Broken furniture…need I say more.

This has been the worst experience I have had with reserveing a room. I made a reservation through Expedia where I paid for a room that was advertised as being available ahead of time with my debt card at Woodsprings and when I arrived to the property I couldn't not find the front desk when I finally did there was not anyone available at the desk so I called the number and was put on hold for a very long time before someone finally arrived with our any greeting to let me know she was there once I figured it out the woman child that was working asked me what I had wanted with the worst attitude as she wiped the sleep out of her eyes. She proceeded to tell me that she sees my reservation but she ain't got no rooms available and treated me as thought it was my falt & as I calmly try to get more info from her on what I should do she said she dont know its not her problem to call the number so my comment was I was not happy with the situation & that this was my last little bit of money & I had no where else to go she responded sorry good bye. & now Im being told by the agent that I may not be able to get a refund because I didnt pay for insurance & that if I do I may have to wait 7 day. They couldnt even offer me another room at another place nearby like I asked. & to top it all they sent me a message asking me how my stay was & to give them a rating. So here you go thats my review. All around horrible experience I will never book through Expedia again or Woodsprings Hotels

Tv was completely broken, remote was broken with the springs popping out, the refrigerator was rusted all down the side with mold a the bottom, there was only one small bath towel in the restroom, the microwave was cracked broken and unclean, there were thick splashed stains on the wood back microwave, no coffee pot or tea accessories for the amount asked, there were crumbs and trash under the fitted sheet, outside the fitted sheet had stains, around toilet had urine on the floor, cleaning supplies and old dirty rags were in the cabinet next to the fridge, two of the walls was completely dirty and dingy like splashed spots, the face of the night stand was torn off so it was pretty much a stripped wood-stand.

My original hotel was cancelled due to a pipe leak and flooding that affected multiple rooms. It being a big LSU game weekend, there were limited options and this hotel seemed like the best option of what was presented to me by Expedia.
While I liked the fact that the rooms entered from the interior of the building, I was a bit unnerved that the reception desk had a metal pull down screen. And there seemed to be a lot of children running around the property that gave the impression that there may be people using the hotel as a permanent residence. It did bother me that side doors into the stairwells were propped daily as I realized later most likely because the key entrance did not work at the side door. I would never intentionally book at this property for more than one night. The room was clean but definitely in need of some TLC. The bed only had sheets and a coverlet--glad I had a blanket in my car to bring in. There were no toiletries, hair dryer, nor iron in the room, so thankfully I came prepared. I have stayed in multiple no frills hotels but this is one hotel I felt a bit on guard and aware of my surroundings at all times.

I’m not one to write negative reviews. Upon getting to my room I noticed there was no health products like soap or shampoo you find at any other hotel. The carpets and pillows were stained. Checkin desk closes at 11pm which I’ve never seen a hotel do before and you have to call someone to come down if you need any assistance which could be an excess wait. I booked a room for 2, it was advertised as a queen bed and sofa bed, there was no sofa bed, just a small sofa that did not pull out. Decided to just roll with it as we were only there for the weekend and with the LSU game all hotels were really booked. Until a roach crawled next to me in the bed, immediately got up and checked out and made my way to another hotel. Overall, $225 for a weekend stay that does NOT look like the photos and is in such terrible condition is robbery.

WORST HOTEL I EVER STAYED IN

This hotel needs to be closed down. From the roaches crawling, no towels, tissue, weed smoke in the non smoking hallway. Prostitution, dogs barking, fire alarm going off in the middle of the night. The front desk works attitudes just NASTY. No ice machine. I booked a smoking room and had to get non smoking. What’s the point in a reservation if what I booked and requested CANT be granted… When you tell front desk they just laugh and say they can’t do nun about it or we dnt have it waiting on a delivery.. this motel is a negative 5 stars… ILL NEVER BOOK WITH YALL AGAIN
