I would never stay in this hotel again. The room smelled awful, was super humid no matter what you did and the tub wouldn’t drain. The whole room just felt dirty. The carpet was so nasty that we definitely didn’t walk barefoot on it. Once we got home we had to wash and clean everything because the humidity soaked in and everything was damp and stunk.

Place was very un updated smelled like a nursing home through the hallways overall the worst residence inn by Marriott I’ve stayed at and I love their rooms. There was only eggs and grits left for breakfast all other platters were empty at 8:35 kept calling out hello in to the kitchen, no answer. The pool/hot tub were Green and closed. The wall outlet in the bathroom was broke. I had to do my hair blindly for an important court date, overall I was super just unsatisfied.

I was really disappointed in my stay at this Residence Inn. The room that I was given looked like someone else was still checked into it. The ironing board was up, a used paper towel on the counter and what appeared to be a used washcloth, the only washcloth in the room, was on the sink. When I called to make sure they hadn't mistakenly placed me in someone else's room and told them about the towel their suggestion was to come down and get another towel. Residence Inn usually has good breakfast but on both days the breakfast was horrible and unless the person who cooked just doesn't know how to make grits and messed them up two days in a row the big congealed glob of grits from Tuesday morning looked exactly like the big congealed glob of grits on Wednesday morning.

No Breakfast the first morning, but we did get breakfast the last morning. Pool and jacuzzi was out of order. Disnt know until check out that we could go to the hotel next door. Housekeeping and front desk were cordial and professional. I do need you all to order more hand towels and bath towels and place at least an extra toilet roll or 2 in the bathrooms. Dirty walls and doors. Worn out upholstery and damaged furniture and refrigerator. Super loud old grinding AC unit. Not a place I will ever stay at again. Shame on Marriott for putting their name on this stink hole.
Oh. Breakfast poorly equipped with not enough coffee, fake bacon and everything running out at 8:30 am.

There was a German cockroach in the dishwasher.
The bathroom door didn't shut bexause the bottom needed to be shaved.
I could see through the bottom of the entry door into the hall because there was about a 3/4\" gap.
The breakfast was stale and unappetizing. Disappointing for Marriott and for the cost. This felt more like 100.00 stay instead of 150.
Definitely not the 8.2 it was rated when I booked it.

I have stayed here many of times and never had a problems. The room was clean. But the fitted sheet on the bed was too small so while sleeping it would pop off the bed. Also the AC seems to not be able to keep up. It was set to 70 but stayed about 73 in the room most of the day. Breakfast was so great. Everything was empty or just not good quality.

I did an early check in to get there and then be overbooked and pipes bursted. I was told I would stay at the Courtyard next door but do everything else at the Residence Inn. The point of the trip was that it had a kitchen area so I could save money as a single mother. The Courtyard had no hot water. We went next door for breakfast and there was no food cooked (though a ton of people angrily waiting). Saturday we went to use the outdoor pool and basketball court/tennis net and there was no tennis net. I went inside to see about entry to the pool and there was a sign that said “pool out of order: maintenance”. So they were moving every one from the Residence InN to use the indoor pool at the Courtyard Inn. Definitely felt bad for the staff because there was nothing they could do. Will not recommend this place to anyone.(especially not travel ball groups or families).

This place is in dire need of renovations. If you book here, purchase the cancellation guarantee. I thought I didn't need it since it was a Marriott property. I was wrong. First time in my 50+ years of travel that I checked in and almost immediately checked out after trying two rooms. The chemical smell of whatever they use to clean made my wife sick. Roach on the wall, busted door latch, rusty air conditioning unit at the foot of the bed, trash bags piled up in one stairwell, worn out upholstery, delayed check in because they were waiting for the police to arrive, what my wife described as \"scummy\" hallways. NO REFUND even though I was there less than an hour and tried to make it work. Expedia was very helpful trying to get a full refund. I travel to this location at least once a month on business. I will not be staying at a marriott property, especially this one.

The staff there was friendly enough and we had a pretty good stay for the $$$.

However there are some aethetics that could be addresses the building needs to be refreshed.

Our stay was for 10 days and most days the coffee was cold, no waffle mix or syrup when they did have some. We were really looking forward to having waffles. If you didn't make it down for 7am sharp it will be slim pickings. It seems they never had an adequate amount of food items. Good thing we had a kitchen to cook!

And then the staff is completing with guests for breakfast items. Not a good look.

Could do better. Over all, we enjoyed our stay and would probably stay again.

Scottie was very friendly and accommodating.

We choose to stay at Marriott properties because of a high standard of cleanliness. This property is not up to par. Dirty dishes in the dishwasher at check-in. The fridge handle was completely missing. The overhead light in the kitchen was burned out. Air-conditioning not working. The tub drain was disgusting. Dried urine at the base of the toilet. Phone did not work. We took photos of it all to document it and have reported it to the Residencer Inn Corporate offices. To top it all off we were charged $360 more than our receipt shows we should have been charged. After several calls to the hotel to try and resolve the issue we gave up and went to corporate offices. We have never written a bad review before...but this property really needs to up their game. It is terrible!

I do not normally leave reviews, but I felt I needed to for this stay. I usually rely heavily on customer ratings when booking hotels, and I almost always choose places rated 8 or above. That system has never failed me until this booking.
Unfortunately, this property was very poorly maintained. The AC unit in the bedroom was so loud it sounded like a lawn mower, and the bathroom plumbing made loud noises for about two minutes every time the toilet was flushed. The patio area shown in the pictures may look nice online, but it is not being kept up, and I would not expect to be able to enjoy the water area.
On top of that, the outside doors from the pool area had no exterior handles, making them impossible to open from that side. The overall condition of the facility was extremely poor. Every time we went to the front desk, there was no one available and no bell to ring, so we had to call out for someone to come from the back.
Inside the suite, doors would not close properly, and the place felt like it was in disrepair. We even found a hair on one of the towels. While that can happen anywhere, combined with the overall lack of upkeep throughout the property, it made the experience even more disappointing.
Overall, this stay did not match the rating or the expectations set by the listing photos.

The afternoon staff Allison was absolutely great, easy fast check in & great accommodations but the morning staff was horrible think he said his name was Scottie. He wouldn’t give me what I needed to clean my room and he just was rude all around. He definitely doesn’t have great customer service skills to be at the front desk. He is not fit for it. The breakfast didn’t have a wide variety and equipment was broken for the waffles but the room was nice ! Thanks Allison for setting the tone for a great stay

The stay was a nightmare. I changed room three times. The first time, the door lock did not work, after working on the lock for over two hours, it was finally suggested to give me another room. The second room did not have heat and unfortunately it was cold in Baton Rouge. The third room what roaches crawling in it. I have videos. The staff was unprofessional including the general manager. Arrived late, tired and with no other option or would NOT have stayed. Reeked of bad weed before door even opened, then smell of mildew entered the competition for worst smell. There is NO excuse for Marriott to continue to operate this dated, worn, FILTHY property. We were given key to wrong room so saw two—both gross. We were there appx. 10 hours total and never took our shoes off. Had we not been traveling with older person who had to get break from travel we would never have even seen the rooms—everything about it said “GET OUT NOW”. Can’t comment on breakfast because there’s no way we would eat anything from there. Seriously—believe the reviews that say it is OLD, NASTY, STINKS—that’s what the truth sounds like! We have sworn off Marriott properties because they clearly have rock bottom standards now! BOOK ANYWHERE BUT HERE!!!

The staff was so friendly and helpful! We arrived four hours early and they were able to help is find a room available so we can get settled to go out and do things in the area. The pool looked very clean and even had rafts available to use. The hot tub had little to no water and was very dirty but thankfully we weren't planning on going in it. The exercise room had complimentary waters and towels to use which I find very rare in hotels. The room itself was very cozy but the shower we didn't want to use due to the wall falling off where the shower head was. And the front rooms TV wouldn't let us play our nintendo switch without the volume being in 100 and we couldn't fix it...so we never played any games. And the front tv wouldn't connect to the free wifi provided to watch netflix. The bedrooms tv worked well though so that was a plus.

The hotel is a good place to stay. It needs updated furniture replacement. The seats where to eat were old and peeling. It was pretty warm in the room area. I had to open up the door to the bedroom area to get some air. The refrigerator didn't have a handle. The back door to the back of the hotel where I parked was broken. They had a towel at the door to prop it open to get in and out.

This hotel was overall great, the staff was extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating when it came to us asking for a late checkout so we didn’t have to go sit at the airport all day. It is in a very convenient location, definitely walking distance to a lot of places to eat, sightsee and just wonder around, there was always scooters available so that was amazing. I would rate our experience a 10/10, we will definitely be back!

The front desk attendant was great! The hotel, not so much. There was an odor as I walked down the hall to the my room. The smell resembled that of something (like a rug) that was wet and aged.

When inside my room, I was very uncomfortable with the thought that this is what I have to sleep in. It was an old room, old furniture, and just uncomfortable. After a few minutes, I went back to the front desk and requested another room. The attendant was great and gave me another room immediately. She was so kind. I went upstairs to the 2nd floor and entered the room only to find the same discomfort and a whole in the curtain in the bedroom.
I immediately went downstairs and told the attendant that I will not be staying at this hotel because I am uncomfortable. I thanked her all for all of her help and then I exited the hotel.

Very disappointing stay at the Residence Inn by Marriott. So many \"little\" things ruined our weekend. The pool was closed, the printer was out of toner, our air conditioning wouldn't go lower than 77°, our room smelled musty, the shower head didn't work, 3 light switches controlled nothing, we asked for fans and were brought one clean fan and one absolutely filthy fan that wreaked of chemicals, there was water leaking from the ceiling in the hallway on Friday, the floor was soaking wet, there were 3 trash cans put out to catch water and were still there on Sunday morning, one of the exterior doors was held open by a small twig because the card reader didn't work, the wall decor had water damage, the mirrors were damaged all along the sides, the bedroom door didn't close properly without being forced, the TV didn't work, there were tears in the curtains, the caulk around the kitchen sink needs attention and there was mold on the wooden containers in the breakfast area.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone or stay here in the future.

The room was missing art on the wall above the bed, like it had been ripped off and not replaced. The sofa bed was in terrible condition and had springs sticking up that could be felt through the sheets. The sofa pillows didn’t smell clean. Someone banged on our door and woke us up at 3am.

I always try to stay in a Residence Inn whenever possible. I like the option of a full size refrigerator and a microwave. I have cooked in the available kitchen in the past.
Unfortunately, this particular Residence Inn was wholly disappointing. Unclean, unkempt and overall lack of attention to detail.
This Residence Inn was the worst RI I have purchased a room with. I also believe it is the worst 3-star hotel I have experienced.
The ceiling in the bathroom had mold on 1/4 of the entire surface. The carpet looked as if it had been repaired, but the repair did not match. If this were a 1- or 2- star hotel, some of disrepair could be overlooked, as long as the room was clean and bug-free.
Additionally, the were some individuals playing basketball in the outdoor court, directly next to the hotel. These individuals were playing until past 10pm and if we hadn't said something to the front desk, I believed they would have continued into the night.
The bed (king) was acceptable, but that is perhaps the only positive point I am able to put forth.
I will never (!) stay at this RI again. I am also a member of Hilton Hotels and have yet to experience such disrespect toward a customer, by having a facility in such a condition as this RI.

Staff did an excellent job accommodating me. The AC did not work in my 1st room. 2nd room smelled like Mildew but 3rd room on 2nd floor was fine. The high grass in front of the hotel was not a very welcoming site.

No sleep here

We reserved a room with a queen bed. It was at best a double. The air conditioner sounded like a big truck going thru our room all night. The toilet made horrible noises. The floor was sticky. One positive was the breakfast was good.

Never again. Front desk liars cleaning room liars

Liars lied to us so many times we stayed here Thursday through Monday. It was a horrible experience never again our room never got cleaned up nor we ever had clean towels and the room stunk it’s old run down.

The staff was great. The room was very nice. The condition of the property really needs an update. Outside walls show some rot. There is a need for new carpet in the stairs and paint. One of the end of the hall doors did not accept key card, which was very inconvenient.
Nice restaurant across the street. Easy access to Interstate

The staff were excellent. One morning it was raining…as I was walking out the front door a staff member was walking in and offered to walk me to my car because I didn’t have an umbrella. They were constantly welcoming and making sure things were going well.

Dont stay here.

Just horrible dirty smells air dont work pool was brown dont stay here ever. This place needs to be shut down. Bed bugs also.

A ashes all in the photos in the bathroom (smoke free room ) , towels were dirty along with AC turned on it was so loud it started shaking the bed… phone didn’t work had to use personal phone to call downstairs

Our room was right above a picnic table that was frequently used even after midnight for weed smoke session…basketball goal was next to picnic area which was kind of annoying.

This property is obviously older cause our room had moldy spots. Breakfast options were limited to only pork sausage on sandwich and bacon, so that was disappointing.
