I don't normally leave a bad review, but I feel this situation warranted one so that these items can be addressed or at least the public will be informed.
First, the property is still branded as a Super 8. I live in town and I felt confused when I drove up, so I imagine anyone from out of town would be, as well. I did not see any Staywell branding or signs.
Secondly, I don't feel the employee working the Front Desk was very helpful, nor was he courteous. I walked in and mentioned that I may be in the wrong place. I said I thought I booked at Staywell. He did not confirm that I was actually at a Staywell until I asked. Once he handed my room key to me and I left the office, I also realized he did not tell me which side of the building my room was on.
My disappointment built from there. There was a recliner with ottoman right by the door. The ottoman was highly stained. The bathroom sink had poorly repaired cracks and looked dirty, perhaps because of the crack.
Those are the items I found most significant. A few other items: this property has exterior doors to the rooms and is located in a somewhat sketchy area, the room's lighting did not sufficiently illuminate the room, the ice machine gave me 6 ice cubes and then gave up, there were only two pillows on the bed, and the towels provided were one of each type only, as in insufficient to parties of 2 or more.

1. Made a reservation through Expedia and upon arrival, the clerk could not find the reservation and said that my card was declined. I was outraged and had to show my reservation on my phone. After he read the reservation number, he found the reservation and did not apologize.
2. When I entered my reserved room, it smelled of urine and cigarette smoke. There was a dead bug on the bathroom floor. I kept spraying the air conditioning with Lysol to relieve the stench. The bed sread had cigarette burns on it luckily I carry my own blankets, sheets, and pillows. The smoke detector was disabled and put in the bedside table next to the bed. The remote control for the TV was not programmed correctly so it skipped channels and would not respond to simple digit inputs.
3. I went to a Dollar General and bought carpet deodorizer and Febreze and sprayed the carpet.
4. Would not recommend or make a reservation here ever again. I left earlier than planned.

No working telephone in my room. I killed a roach that night. Misleading information about the appearance of the room and building location. It was a peaceful, quiet night, but it the hotel looks like a rundown, old establishment. Upgrades are definitely needed!

My stay was good and most staff was pleasant and helpful. However, the maintenance guy was always saying something to me. If I ran down to pick up my guest barefooted he had to tell me i need to have shoes on at all times, he told me I was going to the garbage too often, etc. I thought everyone was adults but I guess I looked like somebodies child??? Or maybe it was because I was potential going to be his assistant which is why I no longer sought employment. I didn't want to work under someone like him. Other than that I had a good stay.

TV did not work, the door closes and locks but it's still doesn't look like his clothes all the way you could still see between the door and a panel so still didn't feel too safe in the room, whom didn't smell all that good, Tower rack was broken, the bathroom is not all that appealing paint peeling off the walls so it needs to be redone, room is not all that lit up with lights, the sign says super 8 but apparently it's not super 8, just appearance of it is not all that inside and out

Ill start this by saying I wish I would have taken pictures. My wife and I stayed 1 night in room 226. We originally had room 118 however when we got into the room, the toilet was constantly running so I had them move us.

Room 226 wasnt very much better. The ceiling definitely had leaks in the past as the seam tape was pealing off and there was bad water stains on the ceiling. There wasn't a smoke alarm in the room either, which, in my opinion, is a major fire hazard, and 2 of the lights in the room did not work.

The \"blanket\" they provide also had cigarette burn holes in it and the door locked, thankfully, but looked like it had been kicked in a time or two. The heater, set at 85°F, was also not blowing very hot on a cold night. I could go on and on.

Would have extended my stay beyond one night but after 2 below sub-par rooms, we decided to leave. I wouldnt have stayed, however, my stay was non-refundable.

Overall, very poor quality rooms. Probably wouldnt stay here again.

Let me start by saying the ladies at the front desk are super friendly and very helpful. The only negative things I’d say is on night one my tv went out 2 maint guys looked at it it wasn’t fixed and they didn’t move me! This happened at another hotel also it’s an issue with COX, but if not all rooms were affected they could have moved me. Again ladies were so helpful and at that price point hard to complain room was clean it’s old but clean.

1. I had a reservation for jacuzzi suite. 173 bucks. I arrived, desk clerk tried to give me simple one bedroom no jacuzzi room. 2. I went back to office he gave me a different key. Key did not work in the new room. I went back to the office. Clerk opened new room with a key and said battery was dead. Room was filthy. Room looked nothing like the online picture. Room faced the hiway and would have been so noisy as to be impossible to sleep. Jacuzzi tub was filthy. Drain was rusted. Two dead bugs in it. 3. Went back to office. I was too tired to and it was too late to get another hotel so I took the single bed non jacuzzi room. It was filthy. I used a whole can of disinfectant on it to try and make it livable. Rug was filthy and left th bottom of my feet black! Ceiling had numerous brown spots that probably was water damage or mode residue. I took a brief nap as I was exhausted but then just left. I couldn't breath the air got so bad. Hotel should be condemned and I am sure would fail any reasonable health inspection. I expect a full refund

Staff and owner Are very rude and biased. Hotel is in horrible condition. To say it is a roach motel is a complete over statement! Owner/ management Make up their policies and procedures as they go. There is no Wyndham compliances involved with this hotel at all in my honest opinion it is a waste of space and should be demolished. There are drugs and Prostitution noticeably in effect constantly. I would not rent A room at this hotel for an enemy… If you are thinking about booking with them, do not take a second thought make it a strong No And save yourself The time and energy of merely entertaining the thought of being there!

The water from the shower wouldn't drain, dryer broken, cigarette holes in spread and blanket. Lightning poor. 1/2 of toliet paper on roll, had to get more, ice machine broken so therefore no ice bucket. Breakfast was ridiculous. Only coffee, waffles, old bananas, sliced bread. When i went to put bread in toaster, has 2 small roaches crawling around. We stay here about 2 years ago and wasn't this bad. Never again.

They have roaches and they are so bad I just want to get through this one night. The covers have so many cigarettes burns and stains on it thank goodness I bring plastic bed covering and the price they charge should be 20 dollars for a quick hole in the wall motel. The office guy tried to enter the room thank goodness I had the other lock on the door. I just want to get through this one night and I will not ever book anything around this area again. I can't do the nasty looking tub, roaches, and cigarette burns on the covers, and the smell of wetness and dampness in this room. Just feel nasty

Worst hotel ever!

The room had a bad odor, it was dirty with dust on the furniture and the carpet looked disgusting. The bathroom had mold in the bathtub. I even found a live big roach that slep in the room with our family, which I found in the morning. Breakfast was the worst ever, only pancakes, bananas and American coffee. I asked for brea and it was then that it was brought out with some butter. I don’t recommend it at all!

Rooms are a little outdated, bed spreads looked dirty. Lights and a/c were turned on before we arrived, this was very much appreciated. Breakfast consisted of toast, banana or waffles. Nothing for kids, only coffee to drink, no juices. The staff were so friendly.

Aweful experience!very nasty.

The room is old and run down. I have stayed years years ago and I had a better experience. The rooms are not cleaned. The toilet had urine stains on it. The carpet had wet spots near the bathroon area. The microwave was not cleaned and it didn't have a iron and the hair dryer had been wiped down, it was very dirty. The room didn't have a fire alarm which was very concerning to me because that's breaking fire codes. I think the owners of these places should take into account that people are paying for comfort and cleanliness. No ones wants to stay in nastiness and discomfort. A clean bathroom is a necessity. I will never stay here again or any other Super 8 anywhere for that matter.

I loved how food options were in walking distance, but the area felt and looked a little sketchy. But the hot tub in the room was awesome. They need more drink and food options in the breakfast area. They only had waffles and coffee. My son didn't get to have a drink with his waffles. Not even water was an option.

The staff is super friendly. The rooms have a smell, the mirrors are filthy and not to forget…. Roaches. Also no wash clothes you must use hand towels. The breakfast was laughable. We got to breakfast early and found one banana and one heel slice of bread. They did have waffles and coffee.
They have granite counter tops so I
guess at one time it was a nice place. WE WILL NOT BE BACK.

Worst stay of my life!!!

There were only 2 towels no hand towels no wash clothes no cups the sheets and covers were stained the staff wasn’t very kind and they woke us up by banging on the door an hour and a half before check out! Then they came back 15 mins before check out to bang on the door again!! Worst experience of my life and it’s my damn birthday I should have been able to relax! The room is absolutely nothing like the pictures on the website at all and parking was Ridiculous!!

This property was miss leading in advertising, the name Wyndham should NEVER be used on a place like this. It makes me never wanting to stay at a property own by Wyndham. We would've spent two nights here except we had prepaid. Won't be back either. Avoid this place where there was no security and gangs openly roaned. Our room smelled of pot and cigarette smoke. The rooms are provided two small pillows, and don't bother to ask the office for more, there are any. No service of any kind, sparch breakfast, i didn't even bother. (24 food stops are nearby.)

Hi guys, I’m sure you already knew what was wrong with the room before I got in there, given how eager your staff were to enter my room with master keys WHILE I WAS STILL MOVING OUT. On the plus side: I did have my own extra pillow and earplugs available to get a peaceful night’s sleep on the noisy interstate side of the motel. The room was spacious for me alone and pretty clean as one could expect. I easily rinsed off the A/C filter which was not too dirty. The biggest inconvenience, as you know, was that the sink faucet was completely detached from the counter and had to be held in place to operate the handle. The fridge was almost half ice, so I turned it completely off to defrost it at checkout. Sorry to the next resident who will get a huge puddle of water when they open it. I had to use the fridge since the hotel provides no ice otherwise. Nor do they provide breakfast (in spite of “breakfast included” advertised). I don’t count a waffle maker with nothing to put on it as even toast. Don’t get me started on the mystery orange liquid stuff in a pitcher. The bedside was missing a lightbulb and the shower head is loose in spite of hand tightening and spraying all over.

Bath tub/shower & hot tub nasty we would not get in either one, microwave & refrigerator or the TV would not work. toilet hard to flush and the set ring was broken the lavatory sink was cracked three different ways. Had to go up to the check-in desk for coffee cups and coffer for us to us the coffee maker in the room. No blankets and the pillows was to small and no extras ones available. No ice maker on the premises. Light bulbs out. No maintenance personal on the property. The room smelled like mildew. Women walking the parking lots, like they where street workers. We paid more money for a better property and it was the worst room/property we had to stay at. We have had to travel to Baton Rough LA. 8 times in the last 5 months and this was the highest price and absolute worst. And no compensation was given ! But the phone in the room worked to call the front desk. Oh yea the AC worked.

Overall stay was ok
