This is a very modern clean hotel. I recommend the Port hotel over the older Halich hotel nearby. I stayed in both and recommend the port because it has nice breakfast view and is more modern.

The staff members were very polite and supportive. The hotel was close to main attractions and the metro. The breakfast was lovely and served on a terrace with an amazing view.
Soundproofing was a concern. We could hear doors slamming in the hallway, and some noise from the street.

I like the room were clean and spacious. The staff was very unwelcoming, they wanted the passport before the check in to know why I was there, told me to wait two hours, never offered me information, ask me to pay 25 euros for breakfast, didn’t call for a taxi and did not help with the luggage. The hotel itself was not bad but they need to train more their stuff, kind of arrogant.

I would definitely recommend this hotel, as it is central for all sightseeing and easy to catch the train to the airport. Hotel was really good, very clean and the staff were very friendly and efficient. Breakfast was well worth the extra payment and the view from the restaurant was definitely something.

I booked a deluxe sea view room and there was no sea view (a tiny sliver of water between a building and the bridge). I asked reception and they advised that this is the sea view room. Not good enough - of all the hotels I have ever stayed at, I have never seen a mediocre ‘sea view’ such as this.

Staff was not at all helpful, half of the time they couldn’t understand and didn’t even try to help us even if they could. We booked two rooms but had to end up staying in one room coz the other room had broken window and was too noisy. My friend literally got the window on her still no room change or no credit provided.
Went bavk agaib for one night, late check in and key didn’t work for 15 min. Room was too small for two adults.

I loved my stay on this hotel.

It's super clean, beds are really comfortable, the bathroom is wide, room has a lot of charging spots for electronics and location is super convenient, just a few minutes away from Karaköy station and downtown. Even though it's on a busy street, noise does not come easily inside the room.

Breakfast is also yummy. They have local food and universal options as well

And on top of that , staff is great.
Everyone is very friendly and helpful. They are all very well organized and really care about you.

Ceren and Nala (the feline staff member) are the best!

The staff here are so nice, helpful and friendly. The ladies that are at the front desk, especially Berfru, are super nice and helpful. She does her best to help you and seems like a genuinely nice person. She went out of her way to get me to my favorite room and the view that I wanted to have. I highly recommend this place, specifically because the staff here can make you feel comfortable and welcomed.

I wanted to book one more day on August 12 after two days stay in this hotel from August 10-12, But I accidentally clicked the wrong date on August 8, when I paid on line I found I forgot to change the current date to August 12, I tried to contact Expedia, was told I have to call the hotel, but the hotel told me that I have to contact Expedia. Finally I have to pay one day hotel even I’m still in thousand miles away.

The hotel is nice on the inside. The staff are excellent. Lovely dining restaurant with amazing views. Recommend half board, it is good value. Have to walk to another hotel for breakfast, but not far. The good views in rooms are from the front of the hotel, not the back.

Excellent Hotel, close to multiple transit stops and walking distance from lots of major cultural (tourist) sites and many tour boat launces. Very clean, spacious and friendly. Avoid having them book you any tours, they seem to use the worst tour operators in Turkey. Otherwise I can't say enough good things about this hotel or their staff. Lively neighbor hood next to the water in what appears to be the construction materials district. I would stay at this hotel next time we visit Istanbul.

Halich was wonderful! We stayed twice within the span of a week. Very comfortable beds and quiet property. First visit, they surprised my husband and I with decor and treats for our anniversary. Second visit, a personal note of thanks for returning as well as some delicious treats!

Location is fantastic for access to metro and river crossing, dining and shopping. Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed my stay. The colleague Basha made my welcome very special and very welcoming as he supported me with many of my queries. I had some issues with the bedding however he did his very best by giving me a bigger bed but his efforts and support during my stay was great. He deserves a pay rise !!!!

We recently stayed at this hotel during our visit to Istanbul and couldn't have been more pleased with our choice.
Not only did the staff (Eyup ) provide exceptional service with a warm and welcoming attitude, but they also went out of their way to assist us with the language barrier, making our stay even more enjoyable. The hotel's location was convenient for exploring the city, and the room was both comfortable and well-equipped.

We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul for its outstanding service and hospitality.

Amazing stay. We stayed for a week and never had to complain about anything. The staff from bottom to top floiw were attentive helpful and always friendly and smiling. Gerem at the reception is a Gem and assisted us with everything we needed. A big thank you to the full staff. This is my place for any future trip to istanbul. The Halich Hotel is very clean and well kept. It is actually brand new. The hotel has its own restaurant and is very close to the waterfront, with its dining options, and just a short walk to the markets. Very nice.

The real treasure about the Halich Hotel is its staff. Each member of the staff somehow exceeded the last with prompt and courteous service. I mean genuine service and attention to every detail. I have been in the hospitality business for over 20 years and I can tell you that these staff members are the real deal. Go ahead. Book this hotel and enjoy your stay. I know you will.

While The Halich Hotel is generally good, I was surprised it has a 4 stars rating. The room I got was in a 3 stars standard - quite small and basic. I was counting on a larger and more spacious room, but got one of those \"bed and a bit of space around it\" rooms, which I wouldn't expect a 4 starts hotel. Also, there is no pool.

The location is good, close to the Galata tower and the touristic area around it. Also close to a tram station, which is 5 stops away from the central sight-seeing area.

Staff was very nice and courteous, they really go out of their way to help you.

The water pressure in the shower was quite low. The techinical people checked it and said it is standard for Turkey. Since I haven't been in Turkey before I can't compare and know if that's actually true (sounds a bit weird).

All in all it's a good hotel, but also a basic one, too basic compared to what I expected.

The hotel stay here was awesome! The location, staff and their helpfulness made our stay wonderful. When I return, I will book a room at the Halich for the conveniency, this hotel is by all the public transportations, and if you want a cab they’ll order you one! I loved staying there for 15 days, don’t be fooled by what you see in the area, the hotel is nice, the food is great and their service was 5 stars, it’s a great place to stay for tourists.

Friendly with a central location.

Was greeted by a very friendly receptionist. The checkin was unusually smooth. Same with the checkout. The hotel is located with walking distance to most places a tourist want to visit. And a partially nice view. Only partially blocked by a tall narrow building across the street. I wouldn’t hesitate to return to this hotel.

Ich war für zwei Nächte in diesem Hotel und insgesamt sehr zufrieden. Das Hotel ist extrem sauber, die Zimmer sind modern und ansprechend eingerichtet. Besonders positiv hervorheben möchte ich das freundliche und hilfsbereite Personal – man fühlt sich rundum gut betreut. Ein kleiner Minuspunkt war jedoch, dass die Wände sehr hellhörig sind. Man konnte leider alles hören, was im Nachbarzimmer vor sich ging. Ansonsten aber ein tolles Hotel, das ich weiterempfehlen kann!

Hotel ist sehr zentral gelegen. Freundliches, nicht aufdringliches Personal. Frühstück zwei Gebäude weiter, so dass man das Hotel verlassen muss um zum Frühstück zu gehen.

Struttura moderna pulita e personale molto gentile. Vicino al ponte di Galata e ai mezzi di trasporto per il centro. La zona è abbastanza trafficata e rumorosa, anche di notte. Colazione buona, ma L’Espresso è extra e va pagato. In compenso una bottiglia di acqua gratis da un litro ogni sera. Terrazza e ristorante ottimi.

Buildings around us are two or three-story ancient buildings which cannot be rebuilt higher, so we always will save our beautiful view of Goldenhorn on the front facade from the 3rd floor and GalataTower on the rear facade from the 4th floor.5th floor has six rooms with a balcony looking through the beautiful Golden horn.We offer a delicious buffet breakfast between 07:30 a.m-10:30 a.m We installed heat recovery devices on each floor, which intake fresh air from outside and exhaust used air from the room to outside of the building.All the indoor air conditioning units are installed, all the fire alarm and fire fighting sprinkler system,all the ceilings on the room floors are closed with gypsum boards.
