This is a nice hotel near Shishane metro and Galata area. Facilities are nice and staff is very helpful. It has a nice view of mosques and bosphorus. Very Nice breakfast is provided. Only downside is standard rooms are on the smaller side and can be noisy sometimes when you are on second floor. Bilal and Hassan were very helpful an great.

Oh my Gosh! We absolutely LOVED our three days at Doruk Palace Hotel! Muhammed and his team impressed us even before our arrival, as they communicated about airport transport & potential activities. They were articulate & responsive & eased any pre-arrival angst.
Upon arrival, we were greeted graciously, enjoying cappucino & conversation, getting all of our logistical questions answered.
Our rooms were perfect, clean, efficient & quiet.
The team of Ali, Ghufran & Hassan each made a personal impact on the quality of our stay. This team made Doruk Palace one of our favorite stays throughout our 3 week trip!

We had the standard room which was a little tight especially the bathroom but for the price it was acceptable. I would opt for an upgrade next time. Location was good, very accessible to Galata tower, public transport and shopping. Breakfast was great and staff was very friendly and helpful.

As other reviews suggest, the staff are outstanding - great hospitality and lots of helpful advice on what to visit and how to make the most of public transport. Really genuine hospitality and would definitely recommend staying here. Surprised that someone suggested there was pressure to review - there is absolutely no hard selling at this hotel, which we liked.
We opted to pay a little extra for the room with a view and it was worth it for the view and the extra space
Breakfast is also pretty good - fresh baked goods, hot dishes that vary daily and selection of vegetarian dips, and some sliced meat and cheeses.
We’d certainly look to stay here again if visiting Istanbul and would recommend to friends. Thanks to Bilal and the team for a wonderful stay

Had an amazing 3 night stay with my family at doruk palace. I think what really sets it apart is the service. They really welcome you here and genuinely try and make your stay enjoyable. No issues with picking us up at midnight after a delayed flight, gave us some free lemonde at one point, and when my daughter got sick they let us stay late until we could check in early at next hotel. Plus view from 3rd floor deluxe was fantastic. Overall a wonderful introduction to istanbul!

From the moment I stepped into the Property I was treated as a very special guest.
The Staff were welcoming and offered a drink and familiarised me with the property and the surrounds.
My room was compact but fresh and clean with a wonderful view across the Golden Horn to the Sultanahmet and Bazaar District's skyline.
The Hotel is well located close Galata Tower and and walking distance to the Shopping and Dining areas around Istiklal Caddesi in Beyoglu.
Overall a very comfortable and enjoyable stay!

Lovely boutique hotel with excellent service. Staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. Breakfast had great variety and was plentiful. Our room was very comfortable with really nice sea view overlooking the bridge. Location was a little out of the way in lighting district but close to main tourist area. Street was quiet at night but a little noisy in the morning with people working in the area. Very good value for the money. Would definitely recommend.

I enjoyed my stayed at Doruk. The hotel is near the Galata Tower and also near the Galata Bridge where you can take public transportation to the Dolmabahçe Palace and other main highlights. The staff is very friendly and professional. Mohammed was amazing with all his recommendations for dinner. Emir was always so helpful and he makes the best lemonade. Finally my favorite of all! Osmen Bay. I spent three weeks in Türkiye. I was missing my cat and Osmen (the sweetest cat owned by the hotel) was so nice to keep me company and give me cuddles. Thank you everyone for making my last 5 days in Istanbul memorable.

This is a great small hotel close to Galata Tower. Hotel owner and staff are super nice and friendly. Breakfast included great variety of food. Rooms are kind of small in size. We booked a 'superior room' but it barely had space to walk around the bed. We had free upgrade to a larger room after we complained to the hotel owner. Hotel location is good for the Galata area, but next time we would prefer to stay in the old town.

This is such a wonderful hotel. Their hospitality is nowhere near the level that is normally provided nowadays. They’re always willing to help, genuinely kind and so fun to talk to. Every guest stops at front desk on their way out and back to have a conversation with staff. They care about you, they’re easy to deal with and everything there is simply so smooth. Breakfast is amazingly fresh and varied. Such good value for money as well. Their cat Osman is a lovely guy that hangs around and makes everything seem so chill and enjoyable, as was our stay af Doruk Palas Hotel. Thank you so much for everything! Hospitality like this is so rare to find these days. I highly recommend this hotel, come here and you will not be disappointed!

Overall a good stay at Doruk - a decent price/value stay, however nothing incredible (so just as expected for what you pay, not some deal as some reviews make it sound)

Staff and cats are very friendly and personal. Probably the highlight of our stay.

Room a bit unmaintained especially in bath (toilet moving, sink tap not attached etc.). However it’s functional given the price. Room was sold as Sea View however our 1st floor room did not really have any view from the bed.

Area around is not nice, abandoned buildings and shops that close very early. However, it did not fell particularly unsafe. It’s quiet (except the prayer call, but that’s expected for Istanbul) so got good sleep.

All in all, like I said at the start its what you expect for the price.

This hotel was the highlight of our trip to Istanbul. We were received by the hotel staff who took care of our bags and provided complimentary coffee and lemonade. Mr. Osman, the Hotel manager (also happens to be a Cat), was extremely friendly and always happy to greet us. The rest of the staff (humans) were super helpful and catered to every need we had (transport, recommendations, food, etc.).

Our hotel room was very clean and fully stocked. We had the room with views to the Golden Horn, which was always breathtaking upon waking up.

This is a hotel where you will feel at home. Staff will often join you for coffee as they explain their culture and traditions. It’s a very homey experience, which is what I prefer compared to corporate hotel chains that may offer more luxury while lacking any “heart”. Highly recommended.

The Staff were all so kind and accommodating. The area is close to Galata Tower. There are many restaurants around and it was easy to get taxi and book uber from the hotel. We stayed for the final part of our vacation in Istanbul, the hotel was extremely clean such as the room and specially the bathroom, but the best part was the service directly from the owners and wonderful staff. The breakfast was a traditional Turkish breakfast, with plenty, and always offered tea and coffee, and freshly prepared eggs.
On top they where always on the look to find a way to help or guide/recommend you on the places to visit or eat.

The staff as professional as it gets and super friendly , the rooms are super clean , they truly go beyond the extra mile to make sure their guest are comfortable , from picking me up with nice large car limo at the airport to hotel ... over all I would choose to go there again and again

There’s only good things to say about our stay so let’s start:
Room 5/5: Comfortable bed, nice bathroom, good sheets, good sized room and nice view.
Location: 4.5/5: Small street, not a lot of noise, tram station 10 min walk, very close to Galata tower.
Breakfast: 5/5: delicious “traditional type of Turkish breakfast at hotels”
Staff 6/5: Exceptional, everybody is trying to help (and achieve it) they made our stay easier. They made us feel welcomed and were attentive at all times. They truly make you feel at home.

The staff here are wonderful! Made us feel comfortable and looked after straightaway, so welcoming! Rooms were clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Istanbul is very hilly and the hotel is on a hill. Close to many eateries and good shopping.

The best thing about this hotel was the staff! They were so generous with us (and from what we could see, with the other guests too) with their time,
— welcoming us and answering the myriad of questions we had about Istanbul, transportation, etc.

The room was comfortable and clean. We were on the first floor, so there was a little bit of noise from the laneway, but nothing too disturbing.

The location was convenient - walkable to Taksim, Galata tower, Galata bridge in 15-20 minutes.

The minute you walk in to the hotel you are made to feel right at home. Mohammed was amazing at recommending the perfect places for us to eat.. all within walking distance and delicious. After a long day of exploring the city you are welcomed “home” with a coffee or cold drink. I recommend getting a room at the top floor with a balcony and a spectacular view of the city.

We love Hotel Doruk Palas!

Amaizing small hotel conveniently located near Galata tower, nice restorants and shops. The hotel owners Ahmed and Mohammed were absolutely delightful, very hospitable and accomodating. They made sure we had the best time and experience possible for celebrating my husband's birthday and for our stay at their hotel. Clean rooms, tasty brakfast and we loved the company of Mr. Osman (the cat manager) who made our stay even more enjoyable!
We highly recommend hotel Doruk Palas. We loved it!

Doruk Palas Hotel is truly a pleasant surprise for us during our stay in Turkey. Not only did they give us rooms with excellent view, they provided excellent service by giving us detailed traveling advices and the history of the hotel (and cats).

It’s rare to see hotels that provide this level of service in Istanbul and we absolutely enjoyed staying there. Definitely recommend it!!

I would absolutely recommend Doruk Palas hotel to anyone staying in Istanbul! In summary:

Location:
- close to metro so it's easy to get to Sultanahmet without staying in a crowded, loud, expensive neighborhood
- close to Galata tower and cute restaurants
- on a quiet street

Hotel:
- AMAZING free breakfast! This was a priority for me and it did not disappoint
- Every staff member we interacted with was so lovely and we got great tips on how to spend our time in Istanbul
- They proactively reached out to see if we wanted an airport transfer, which was super convenient
- There are 2 friendly hotel kitties if you're a cat person (I'm not but they left me alone)

Room:
- We stayed in a \"Superior\" room, which was not super spacious but we didn't spend much time there anyway! The rooms were very clean and the bathrooms were very nice
- The view of the Bosphorous was so cool!
- Ahmet graciously accommodated our request to move to a room with 2 twin beds when one opened up (my boyfriend is a wiggly sleeper so it's hard for us to sleep in the same bed), which I so appreciated! The two twin room also had a bit more space.
- The rooms were very quiet, which I appreciated as a light sleeper. The beds were also very comfortable.
- AC was a little wonky in our 1st room but great in the 2nd room!

I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. All in all it's a well run, clean hotel with great service in an awesome location.

Unique hotel in great hotel near to Galata tower. Fantastic views and delicious breakfast. Owner and staff are friendly and helpful. They even walked with us to find a taxi. Room was spacious and had its own terrace. We fell in love with the cat osman. Would not hesitate to recommend and would come again

200 sqm.We have 42 spaciously designed rooms and restaurant near the lobby floor.A terrace on the top of the building you can enjoy this unique ancient scenery. Buildings around us are two or three-story ancient buildings which cannot be rebuilt higher, so we always will save our beautiful view of Goldenhorn on the front facade from the 3rd floor and GalataTower on the rear facade from the 4th floor.5th floor has six rooms with a balcony looking through the beautiful Golden horn.We offer a delicious buffet breakfast between 07:30 a.m-10:30 a.m We installed heat recovery devices on each floor, which intake fresh air from outside and exhaust used air from the room to outside of the building.All the indoor air conditioning units are installed, all the fire alarm and fire fighting sprinkler system,all the ceilings on the room floors are closed with gypsum boards.

All bathrooms have ceramic coatings and bathroom accessory. The infrastructure of a strong internet in the rooms and general.We will be very happy to host you at Galatahan
