The location of this hotel is great. Close to the Galata Tower and the nice street where the tasty Turkish version of the originally Spanish Basque Cheesecake is sold. The room was clean and stuff were friendly. Breakfast buffet is not the biggest but the food is tasty. Plus point for the free water.

The hotel is very nice. The rooms are good sized, and all the staff from reception to housekeeping to the folks in the breakfast room are incredible.
The location is good - right by a subway station and lots of bars and restaurants. The down side is people are partying until 3 am and the horn honking is incessant. You'll need earplugs if that bothers you.

Very helpful staff, interesting, comfortable room and good breakfast with fantastic views over the Bosporus. Location is great with interesting cafes,shops , restaurants within walking distance. Only negative is the noisy traffic ( locals seem to love beeping their car horns at all hours. Perhaps quieter rooms are available.

The location of the hotel is fantastic very convenient. The room design looked beautiful and regal, The staff have been great unfortunately room 505 (sultan Fatih room) that we stayed at had damp on the corner and the room was very cold, when I came in windows was fully open all the cold draft have come in. I had to get it to a desired temperature and also the shower was blocked, apart from that I would say everything was okay.

After staying at Daru Sultan hotels I will not stay at any other hotel in Istanbul and will come back again and again! The staff, location, and rooms were amazing and there is a beautiful rooftop terrace to enjoy the breakfast as well. The location is great just near to Galata kulesi, the metro station is just behind the Hotel. Also the rooms were great. The Hotel was clean and the staffs were great

The best thing about the hotel was the staff. Hands down to it!! Specially Hakam. He was very professional, always trying to help, giving guidance about the city, very knowledgeable in terms of places. He definitely makes a difference being at the front desk. Always going above and beyond in order to make our stay more enjoyable. I traveled with my wife a kids and they couldn’t love more our stay at Istanbul in this awesome hotel. Will definitely stay again in our next trip to this beautiful country.

Booked this hotel very last minute. I was greeted by the staff at the reception who made my stay very pleasant and welcomed me to Istanbul. Breakfast at the hotel was lovely a very nice variety of Turkish breakfast options. The hotel staff guided me on where to go as tourists and guided me on all metro and tram options. Overall very happy with this hotel experience and will be staying again when k next visit Istanbul. Great location amazing access to all things.

It was an exquisite experience. Daru Sultan took me through time and history, beautiful location, gorgeous staff. Ugur and Areef who are the front office managers were very friendly and helpful, all the staff were very respectful and urged to help. Let me tell you something, you can’t consider visiting Taksim, Istanbul without staying in Daru Sultan hotel. This place will take you through history, so elegant and classy, you will feel the scents of time like you are living one of the Arabian nights. It was a dream come true, living the full experience in Istanbul. This hotel is near by everything you wish for from Galata tower to Taksim street and the famous Hafiz Mustafa. Ugur, and Areef who are the front office managers were so freindly and helpful, very respectful and I don’t want to forget the others who were great throughout my stay there. I asked my friends and family to consider it as first choice to stay.

While the area is convenient and close to Istiklal street, it was very noisy and you cannot keep the window open. Even when closed you still hear horns and music from cars. Rooms very small. They combine two twins to make a queen which is uncomfortable. We switched rooms at first because the mattress was not comfortable. The second room was a bit better but not by much. The facility is just old and worn out. The curtains were torn and the room (bathroom and shower) faucets and bidet were falling apart, We stayed there for 6 days, if I had not prepaid and had the luxury of leaving I would have left. I would not be returning to this hotel.

Daru Sultan Hotels Galata gave us a much better experience than I expected. We made a reservation for one night on our way back to our country. It is located in the very center of the city and next to the metro station. This is a huge advantage for travelers with time constraints. Also, historical Istiklal Street, Galata Tower, Golden Horn, Bosphorus are within walking distance. There are so many options for shopping and great food in the surrounding area. We had a very nice breakfast experience on the terrace of the hotel with a magnificent view. The rooms are decorated with cultural motifs of the Ottoman and Anatolian ancient civilizations. We felt like Ottoman Sultans. The hotel staff almost looks you in the eye to fulfill your wishes in every respect. They helped us even before we arrived at the hotel. Thank you very much everyone.

Wonderful hotel with traditional sumptuous Turkish decor, in a great central location within easy walking distance to key sights and Karikoy ferries. We stayed in a Delux double room with Golden Horn view, which was superb, and the view simply stunning. Hotel staff, particularly reception staff, were super helpful and professional, and the traditional Turkish breakfast was fantastic. Would highly recommend.

The hotel is severely overpriced. Be aware that your toilet/shower will have a glass door, and you would be able to see everything going on inside the bathroom area. Staff are not very friendly, breakfast is terrible. Prices are literally a scam and you can book the room for 130$ but when you will arrive it would cost 66$, however, they would still charge you 130$. Rooms are tiny and not comfortable. Not recommend staying.

The hotel is at a great location and the staff is excellent; but it needs a lot of maintenance work. while in my room one of the armory doors came off and felt on the floor. the fallowing night some pieces of marble trim also came loose and were laying on the bath floor when I woke up. I think this is a fine hotel being neglected

Absolutely loved staying here. The staff and hotel itself was lovely. The room was so nicely decorated and comfortable. Each floor is themed after a sultan and his era, evert room is themed after notable figures from each respective era with some educational info. Breakfast was delicious. It’s in a good area because şişhane metro station is right at the entrance so you can get to Sultan ahmet, grand bazar, and other areas easily (buy an istanbulkart from the machine), but since it’s in Taksim expect some noise at night; although it tapers off towards 11pm-12am. Got a good deal through Expedia too. Highly recommended stay.

The hotel staff is very nice and the location and views are great. The place itself needs some attention. The shower handle came off when I turned it. The towel rack fell off the wall. The shower curtain leaves the floor soaking wet. The A.C. said it needed a new filter but there wasn't one to put in, apparently. It took an extra day to get a second keycard because they were in short supply.
