The were multiple problems. The shower leaked at the bottom making puddles on the bathroom and hallway floors. The sink faucet leaked around the base, but at least it ran into the sink. The hot water pot would boil away the water if not unplugged in time. Toilet seat was loose. Insufficient lighting overall.

Great Location before a cruise

We had a one night stay before our cruise. You cannot find a better location for staying the night before a cruise. Right across the street from Galataport you can walk to the terminal with your luggage. The public train is only a block away to get around sightseeing. We enjoyed our spacious room. The rooftop bar has an excellent view of Istanbul. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Thumbs Up for Nidya Hotel

Hotel staff was fantastic at check in. We stayed one night before departing for a cruise. Great location for the cruise port! Right across the street. The bellman even helped us with our luggage getting to the port. Thank you again!!

The hotel rooms are very moderate, the windows are not sealed or tightly closed so you always hear the noise of the street or construction, the AC is noisy and the staff say it is always like that, the breakfast is very poor.
The Hotel location is very good but the staff and the property is very poor....

اقامتي ٦ ليالي ومن الليله الثاني اتنازع عشان الحمام ام يتم تنظيفه وكل يوم على ذلك
واهر يومين الفلاش لا يعمل ولم يتم تنظيفه ولا صيانته بعدر انتي مفروض تذكرينا

والرسبشن يدافع عن التنظيف بانها قامت بعملها!! شي سيئ

Booked to stay here for 5 nights but the property does not match the pictures, everything is old and outdated. Noise from the road is unbearable until 4am due to traffic and hotel management’s dont care if you complain. The showers dont work properly and bathroom is covered in mould. Wont be staying again

The staff were fairly friendly and willing to help with any questions. The room was spacious and quiet and about 15 mins walk from Taksim square and 10 mins walk the the T1 line which goes directto Eminonuand Sultan Ahmet. There was use of a sauna too. The breakfast was good albeit not hugely varied. Ny room had a showerhead which was slightly broken but it didn't really bother me as was a minor thing so i didn't report it. Had i done i feel the hotel would have given it due attention. There is a luggage room in case you check out and have some time before you head to the airport. Overall i really enjoyed the relaxed and professional manner of the hotel and would recommend it.

good location indeed. I stayed 9 days and every night the Ac will shut off automatically. I called and told them every single day and they were not able to find a solution although every day they say it was fixed!
it was 3 persons in room and we would wake up in sweat to open it again taking so much time to cool the room. day time we did not mind as we were out all day. I am disappointed only from this> Thanks

i don't recommend this hotel. we booked a room with a living room and a dining area, they give us a standard room with nothing of these stuff, even there are no a single chair. In addition in that room there where a very bad smell, we ask to change it but they didn't agree. Also the location of this hotel is so bad, it will take about 20 rough mins of vertical walking to taksim square, that you don't need at all.

Room 1 - Long black hairs in the bed, dirty and torn bed linen.

Room 2 - More long black hair in the bed, splash marks round the washbasin, dirty carpets, mould round the shower, NO soap or ohter toiletries in the bathroom

After sleeping in out clothes, we checked out immediately rather than stay a second night.

Very well located Hotel.

This was my second stay in the Hotel, the first one was much better (that was 3 years back), we stayed for 2 nights where we notified the Hotel before we get their of our need of a baby crib and did so for 4 times the same day and did not get one and my baby had to share our bed for both nights. Overall cleanliness of the room did not match our expectation especially that we have visited the place before, we asked for vanity kits and tissues and did not get any. Don't think will stay there again.

Nice hotel close to the beach

Nidiya Hotel Galataport is a very nice place to stay in Istanbul. It is near to many touristic places such as Taksim, Eminonou, old city, etc with a sea view. The location is perfect for people who would enjoy a 7 mins walk to catch Tophani or Findikli Tram stop. The staff are very friendly and welcoming especially Mr. Arif. The breakfast is somehow limited and the Wi-Fi is a bit slow in some rooms!
I would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel was good despite the receptionist gave me a room without open window .

Turkey is one of the worst country that I have visited in my life , Taxi drivers are smart robbers also Turkish people they know how to steal money from tourists (very smart scammers) .
This is advice for tourists who plan to visit turkey , don't accept any invitation from strangers or Turkish , don't believe them , if they offer to drink something with them , don't accept , just go straight , if you are alone .
Don't go to any bar or night club in Taksim most of the scam , if you go to it after one hour you will receive an invocie with more than $500

If you want to go to night club or bar ask your hotel about these places .

Very Good for what I payed.

Room size was very small,There was no balcony at any of rooms ( which in hotels.com mentioned : Room with balcony ) Staff where helpful specially Mr.Kadir .Location was OK but there were constructions operations so the sea view was covered...,Double room were very small so we changed our room to twin room and ask them to move the beds makes it double.Staff very kind,breakfast was great, you can ask for fried egg I got it in the last day...

The Hotel Staff were amazing and very kind. Stayed in the triple room which was very spacious. Room Service and food was fantastic, although breakfast could have been slightly better, however not a big issue. The location was very good, close to Taxsim Square, Grand Bazaar, Sultan Ahmet and the Port. Overall fantastic stay and experience would like to say a huge thank you to the staff for making it a very pleasant stay.

I want to thank people in the reception. They were very helpful.
Although at the time of check in they didn't receive confirmation email from hotel.com.
They honored the email I have, and they provide the rooms.
It was very pleasant stay, triple room was very large, and comfortable.
Breakfast didn't have a lot of options but was fine.
Rooms we're clean. Location good, didn't find any problems with taxi to find the hotel.

Staff were helpful during our early check-in. The room was clean and stylish. Our room has a garden view. But in the other sight, sea view was pissible. During our stay three gigantic ships were in the sea. It was nice to see those ships from the relatively close distance.

Exploring European Istanbul

exploring a different area of Istanbul with family. Chose this hotel for proximity to public transport. The tram stops and bus stops/ferry boats are nearby and many interesting places within walking distance. The hotel is good for the price but lacking some basics such as hand cream in the room and the terrace restaurant was not much to shout about...views are good though. Staff variable, with very good reception service and room service but some breakfast staff seem rather frustrated and unhappy to be there.Internet access good on laptop except my phone just could not connect to their router (?problem with type of connection but no assistance available to resolve this. Did not get to use the spa. We were upgraded to the family suite rather than triple room which was great for extra space but lost out on any potential sea views.There was an almost constant sound of water running from upstairs toilets/bathrooms ?coming from the vents? Overall very good hotel and good service but there are better hotels in other parts of the city for this price.

The staff were brilliant from the time we checked in right till our check out..10 days later. Very conveniently located midway between Sultanamet and Taksim. Two tram stations within 5 minutes either way of the hotel. Funicukar to Taksim and Ferry station about 10 minute walk from hotel. The breakfast and menu in general was adequate but very limited if you're vegetarian. Will definitely recommend this hotel. Particular mention of staff reception manager Kadir and Waiter Utum...ever obliging and friendly.

All was perfect, from arrival till check out. Our intention was to get a quiet room, for some peaceful time without suprises at an affordable price. The rate from Hotels.com was the best availavle, almost 35% less then hotel direct booking price. We got a small room, maybe because we paid less, which is fine. The hotel was mostly occupied with business travellers during our stay which made it quiet and peaceful. Room was very clean, and it was a true 4 star. No surprises. The only thing we disliked was the waiter at the restaurant, who was rude for no obvious reasons. The rooftop terrace was also nice. One day with big ship in front and the next with Bosphorus view.
Breakfast had good variety and the location is near the tram station. The area has easy transport, yet not very busy. Nearby there is a good coffee shop and a carrefour.
I think it was excellent value for money, and I will surely come here again.

we've beeen searching for room with 3 separate beds, which is quite hard to find in any city.. got a huge room with lots of space, street view. not very nice building in front of the hotel, but otherwise location ok.
dopr to bathroom couldnt be fully closed, but otherwise ok.
tram t1 is 5 minutes walk from hotel, can get you to historical center in 10 mins.

what was not so good - 30 mins back massage for 35€ is too much in my opinion as you can get it cheaper elswhere

I stayed at the hotel pre and post tour. I found the location great with a tram stop just a few minutes by foot or even within a fairly leisurely walk to the City Center. The staff were friendly and very efficient. I would really recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul.

fantastic hotel with in a great location, with very well trained staff. me and my wife spent 9 days in Nidya Hotel, we are satisfied with all of the services especially the cleanliness of the room and bathroom, the quality of their service, the hospitality of the staff and good value for the rooms.its very close to almost every historical place in Istanbul. you have a good access to tramway and metro( you can have access to almost every where especially the TAKSIM square with tramway and metro). it very close to KABATASH and EMINONU ports to have access to the boats. there are shops like supermarket, pharmacy, cafe,etc with less than 2 min waking distance from the hotel. it is located in the best possible place. I would recommend the Nidya Hotel to anyone who wants a comfortable and relaxing trip.

Hotel generally OK but they show on the Hotel.com site the Sea View rooms like if looks with a panoramic sea view while it is not. Reception need to be improved. Someone left a parcel for me but not informed by reception and I left hotel without being given such parcel now need be sent by DHL who will pay for that !!!!!

Walking Distance to Istikial, Galataport, Museums

The location of the hotel is wonderful as it is a short walking distance to the Modern Art Museum, Restaurants that locals attend, Galataport, and Pera neighborhood. The staff is friendly and was kind enough to let me check in earlier. The breakfast is amazing and the room was very comfortable. A great stay especially for cruise passengers.

compare to the price I can accept the size of rooms and amenities available but the cleaning is very bad , I have dirty floor for 4 night , even with multi request to the reception for proper cleaning

Good location, few minutes walk from tram system which gives access to main tourist areas. Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Room was small with little space other than for bed and mini-bar. Bathroom size was OK though with good shower.

I would recommend to those on a limited budget for a short stay (2/3 days).

I like the hotel so much, room is clean, breakfast is very good and there is a variety also the staff is helpful.

great value, modern, clean hotel

Overall the hotel was very good value and I would recomend it to damilies and those travelling on business.

The service was great, rooms clean and modern, shower very good.

The breakfast in the morning is generous and offers a broad selection catering for all types of diets.

Its also close to the tram stop and a close walk to the shops.

The only reason I score this a four vs. a five is the mess on the third floor corridor. It seems the corridor wad used as storage space for the hotel which a little unprofessional.

Nidya was very centrally located and it was easy to get around. The staff was also very helpful.
