I was very impressed with the quality of service at this hotel. Badir, Ahmet and Mussab were great and I enjoyed staying there before of them. The only negative was that I was on the 4th floor but I got used to the travel up and down the stairs haha

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Meroddi Galata hotel, we had to move to another building which was not a pleasant experience, but the manager and the staff made up for the mishap. The hotel itself is clean, and modern, but what truly made our stay exceptional was the outstanding service provided by the staff.

One employee in particular, Musab, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. From checking in to checking out, Musab, was attentive, friendly, and accommodating. His professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail made all the difference.

The entire staff was friendly and welcoming, but Musab truly stood out.

I highly recommend Meroddi Galata to anyone looking for a top-notch hotel experience.

Thank you to Musab and the entire staff for making our stay unforgettable!

The room is clean and the bathroom except shower room is very small. Water pressure is very good. Comfortable bed, clean towels and beddings, very good breakfast, very nice staff especially Kaan. Carpet on the stairs needs cleaning or be replaced. It is very inconvenient for me to go out and back to the hotel because of the hilly road.

Good but not for families

The comfort double room doesn't sleep 3 as advertised. The room was very tiny and the staircase in front of reception extremely narrow, making it very uncomfortable to stay there with a small child. Also it was very loud at night and there was no window in the room.
Other than that the staff were very friendly, breakfast was nice and the location was central and still nicely quiet.

Great hotel in a great location. The staff were extremly friendly and helpful, especially Ibrahim, who was a real help and spoke great English. Quite a few flights of stairs to get to the room but was only an issue with bags. Good breakfast and Ibrahim remembered it was our wedding aniversary and put a cake in the room, a really nice extra touch.

Extremely disappointed when we went to check in - the hotel said ‘good news we have given you an upgrade and the guy will come in a few minutes to move us to a different hotel’ we told the guy we don’t want an upgrade we just want to stay at the hotel we booked, I made a lot of research on finding the exact location and once for our specific meet when we travel. He said it is not possible you have to do this. So sure enough, the guy came and took us to another Maroddi hotel, which was a 5 min walk. The last thing you want when you’ve flown from from the US to Turkey - got in a taxi, unloaded your suitcases, & then told you have to move hotels & walk over cobblestone streets in hi 80’ weather
Staff at the new Hotel were lovely, but first thing in the morning as we had booked with Expedia - I called Expedia - they were horrified & said that was not acceptable. We Love Expedia & always book with them. If ever, you have a problem they really go out of their way to help you. Expedia helped us rectify the problem. Personally, I think the issue is I booked the hotel 11 months ago & got a really good rate when I booked midwinter - now it is going for 5x more a night so they know they can get more $$ - & hope no one bothers to complain. I’m pretty sure Expedia’s gonna read them the riot act.

Meroddi have a number of hotels in the Galata area. We stayed at an alternative location a couple of streets from our designated location. The room was large, with plenty of storage and was cleaned every day of our stay. Breakfast was at a sister hotel.
Would use this hotel again if we return to Istanbul.

The hotel has a great location close to Taksim and a block away from the Galata Tower. We were a group of 13 people and had reserved 7 rooms. Unfortunately when we go to the hotel it was overbooked and we were divided to 3 different properties. The front desk clerk was unable to clearly explained what happened and just told me that we were booked in three different hotels. We had to carry the luggage up the hill to get to the new hotels. The new hotels provided were excellent. Our rooms were great and so was the hotel staff.

The check-in at the hotel was complicated as it was overbooked and the clerk had a hard time trying to explain what happened . We were a group of 13 people who ended up at three different properties. While all of them were close by it was an inconvenience to get together. The hotel has no elevator so bringing the luggage up the stairs was challenging The rooms that we got in the property were comfortable and the breakfast was good. There is a cozzi cafe on the first floor with great coffee

I like the hotel area, last minute they changed my room from one building to other without any notice, the room’s air was not working at all. They change my room and then they had only the heater and not able to control, so we had to have windows open and the noise was horrible from outside. The rooms were cleaned.

Only thing i noted was that the carpeting should be replaced on the upper floors, and maybe slightly better pillows, but overall a great experience and would definitely come back and recommend - great value.

The hotel’s location is really good, very central.
It’s a very good value for money, they provide a generous buffet breakfast.
The hotel building is very old (the street is full of historical old houses), therefore there are some sewage issues. The first room I stayed in was on top floor and had terrible smell coming from the bathroom.
The following day they offered me a larger room free of charge on the first floor.
This was better, I reckon the hotel needs a good plumbing renovation.

Overall, worth a stay for a few nights providing its very central and they look after their customers

Great choice, highly recommend!

Great choice for our 5 day stay in Istanbul! The service was fantastic! The hotel is in a great location - walking distance to most things but in a quiet street that it felt nice to arrive to after a long day of sightseeing. The breakfast was also decent and convenient - it was often left out longer so good for that extra cup of coffee.
The rooms are average, but comfortable especially for the price/location. Suggest getting a room facing the street since we stayed in a room facing back and it is quiet dark. Could benefit from additional lamps.

The room was wonderful clean, and well prepared. All the staff are amazing; they are so helpful, they know english and there is always a smile on their faces. The two receptionists that we met ( forqan and a girl i don't know her name) were extremely kind and helpful. The breakfast was really good. When we come back our rooms are always clean and they also put for us nescafe/tea etc with a kettle in our room. Overall, i enjoyed my experience in this hottel and i highly recommend it. I will definitely reserve again in this hotel.

As a rule, the first thing I do when I am interested in a property is to see if they have an airport shuttle. This property stated that they did, so before I arrived I sent an email to the property asking how to access the shuttle. Never replied to my email.
When I arrived at the property after taking a taxi, I was told there was complimentary breakfast from 7:30 to 10:30 am. At approx. 10:05 am I went downstairs and sate at one of the tables expecting to be greeted by a waiter. Never happened.....I was completely ignored even though there were 2 employees within 5 meters of me. After 5 minutes of being ignored, I walked out and never used them while I was there.
They really need to focus on customer. People make decisions partially upon the list of services provided. If you do not have an airport shuttle, don't say you do. The same with the breakfast...don't state something you don't have.

The location is great! Super near to taksim, Galata Tower and metro! What more to ask for.

It takes a little eye power to find the accommodation as it is a cafe plus hotel. To check in you need to walk in the cafe and go to the back area to find the reception counter.

The staff there are super helpful. Bring me to the room personally and helping me with my wife luggage.

The room is for 2 pax, nothing more. Luggage space is only for 2 large luggage but what to ask more for the price we paid.

The bad thing for us is the toilet. There's a mouldy smell which will not go away. So you gotta live with that. No way they can resolve it too.

Very hard to find, even for taxi drivers. Too much dust especially under the bed (makes you sneeze always), dont clean under the bed. Dont change bed cheets . Noisy neighborhood because there's 2 cafeterias underneath keep talking and loud laughing till 2 a.m at least and till 4 a.m on weekends. Breakfast is ok . The staff dont speek or understand english (very hard to comunicate).its impossible to have a good sleep at night. Dogs outside the hotel keep barking loud till 5 a.m. it is challenging to walk anywhere from or to the hotel, because its located on a hilly area close to Galata tower. Dont recomend this hotel for people who want to rest at night and go explore in the day, its good for night owls only.overall its a very bad experience.

Staff kept on denying my booking until i send them a copy of screenshot from hotels.com by email. Shuttle service was too late for pickup. Overall, the trip was full of surprises and uncertainty.

Very small rooms in an excellent location

The location is amazing, its close to istiklal st for all the shopping and its near to the Karakoy tram station and Sishane metro for transport to the other places to visit. Let me be very clear if you have a car this is not the place for you, do not rent one as you dont need one. Uber is cheap and so are metered taxis. The hotel is very small, when we first arrived it was so tough to find the hotel because their sign board is 8x6 inch. And there is coffee shop and behind it is the reception, very odd concept. The room was tiny, barely any space to change, and the toilet smelt sooooo bad. I kept exhaust on all the time and it still would smell. And people smoking outside the coffee shop, all the smell would enter the room through small cracks in the windows. The room is not soundproof and you can hear everything inside and outside the hotel. Breakfast was ok, had very little variety and options but for the price of the hotel its fine. The hotel staff were amazing, very helpful and nice. The A/C in my room didnt work at all, luckily it was really cool outside so we didnt have a problem but if it was summer then this would have been a disaster.

We arrived at the Nar Hotel and they welcomed us with a complementary coffee and desert.
The rooms where very tidy and clean and the hotel hospitality was amazing.
The breakfast was rich in variety and quantity although i wouldn't say no to some fresh orange juice too as an option.
We had a small issue with the pillows the first night of our stay since we had many pillows but all too big for us.
Next day we asked for some smaller pillows and the staff willingly provided us with what we needed with a big smile.
The hotel is located in an excellent spot near multiple transportation options (metro, tunnel) and in a very nice neighborhood with many options for walk, drink and shopping.
I would definitely choose again the same place for our stay if i ever visit Istanbul.
They really make you feel welcome!

Clean, comfortable boutique hotel in Istanbul

The Nar Galata Mansion is a small boutique hotel located in the trendy Galata neighborhood. We preferred the Galata neighborhood to the Sultanahmet neighborhood, which is touristy and noisy.

Although the building is old, it has been modernized on the inside. The rooms are comfortable and super clean, although a bit small by North American standards. We chose the enclosed balcony extension for more room, which came in handy for keeping our luggage.

The staff in this hotel are friendly, professional and very helpful. There is a nice cafe for snack and coffee. The breakfast provided by the hotel is hearty and of good quality, and includes traditional Turkish as well as Continental fare.

The hotel is just a 3 minute walk to the Galata tower area where there are some nice restaurants, cafes and jazz clubs. It is also just a 10 minute walk down the hill to the Galata bridge, where you can catch the tram that takes you to the main Istanbul Attractions (Top Kapi Palace, Blue Mosque, Aya Sofia and Grand Bazaar) in about 10 - 15 minutes.

Yet at night, it is a lot less noisy than the Sultanahmet area.

Initially our first night at the hotel wasn't great as we found our room to be extremely small, noisy & issue with the large TV not switching off. However, the night staff kabedi was really helpful and assured us he will be able to sort out the rest of our stay as well as coming up with a solution to the TV. kabedi was very pleasant, helpful and came across very hardworking (nice to see some one taking their job serious). Despite the hotel rooms being on the small side it was clean and location was great.

Great hotel located 2 minutes from Galata Tower. Staff was extremely friendly. Breakfast was amazing and local - with more than enough to get you through a long day checking out the sites. Easily walkable to Galata bridge and across to the sites. Great nightlife and shopping right down the street from the hotel.

Good location with an easy journey to the old town. Area around the hotel is also nice to explore. We stayed in a room for three, double bed and single bed. Barely any space in the room other than the beds.
The hotel staff were not overly accomodating when we had issues with our transfers. Also, one day the cleaners didnt give us clean towels. We reported this to reception and, once we pushed them, they arranged for us to have clean towels.
For a couple i think this hotel is okay, but for threes, recommend looking for a bigger room.
The price was reasonable though.

Personel ilgisizdi; resepsiyona gittiğimde uzun süre kimse yoktu ve beklemek zorunda kaldım. Odalar yeterince temiz değildi. Seçtiğim oda tipi için kullanılan farklı görseller yanıltıcıydı; oda beklentimi karşılamadı ve değiştirmek istediğimde ücret farkı talep edildi. En olumsuz olanı ise, gece saat 12’de odaya su bile getirilememesiydi. Otelin kendi kafesinden 50 cl suyu 50 TL’ye almak zorunda kaldım. Konumu nedeniyle tercih etmiştim ancak genel olarak memnun kalmadım.

Unser Zimmer war innenliegend mit einem Fenster zu einem Lichtschacht. Das Zimmer war hellhörig. Die Gästeschicht ist international und nicht immer rücksichtsvoll. Das Frühstücksbuffet war gut. Personal bemüht. Viele Katzen im Restaurant, auch im Hotelbereich und noch mehr auf den umliegenden Straßen. Teilweise stinkt es nach Katzenmarkierung. Es muss jeder selbst entscheiden, ob das Hotel die richtige Wahl ist.

Está bien ubicada y tiene todas las comodidades; el desayuno fue muy bueno; sin embargo tuvo dos problemas:llegar a pie es complicado, porque la calle dificulta la maleta, además de que debías llegar a una instalación y de ahí moverte a otra.
Debido a que el check-out tuve que hacerlo en la madrugada, me iban a dar una box-luch para el camino, pero no fue así, al parecer se les olvidó dar esa instrucción.

Wir haben diese Unterkunft gebucht. Bei der Ankunft wurden uns jedoch gesagt, dass wir nicht in diesem Hotel bleiben sondern in einem anderen Meriddi Hotel untergebracht werden - ein Upgrade. Wir warteten ca. 7 Minuten mit der Info, dass wir gleich abgeholt werden und zur anderen Unterkunft gebracht werden. Nach 7 Minuten teilte uns der Herr mit, dass sein Kollege doch erst in 20-30 Minuten kommt daher sind wir auf eigene Faust zum anderen Hotel gegangen. (inkl Gepäck) Die Lage des anderen Hotels war auch sehr gut jedoch in einer eher weniger schönen Seitengasse alles war sehr dreckig und rundherum waren leerstehende Gebäude. Im Hotel angekommen wurden uns zwei Zimmer im Nebengebäude zugewiesen und eines im Keller. Diese Zimmer sind auf der Homepage nicht einmal zu buchen! Das Kellerzimmer hatte nur einen Lichtschacht und keine Fenster. Daher war der Gestank wirklich sehr schlimm. Wir haben lange mit dem Herrn an der Rezeption diskutiert, jedoch ohne Erfolg da die komplette Hotelkette ausgebucht war und wir die Zimmer bereits bezahlt hatten! Der Herr war sehr nett, freundlich und bemüht. Leider nur erfolglos. Wenn man eines der anderen Zimmer bekommt dann ist das Hotel sehr nett, und die Dachterasse ist echt superschön.

Wir konnten nicht in das gebuchte Hotel einchecken (weil überbucht). Das Zimmer im 1. Ersatzhotel war viel zu klein (wir mussten dort aber eine Nacht verbringen).
Das Zimmer im 2. Ersatzhotel war okay. Aber der Service im Hotel war sehr schlecht ( keine Zimmerreingung trotz erfolgter 2x Buchung, keine Mängelbeseitigung im Bad (das Wasser im Waschbecken lief nicht ab), Anfragen nach Bereitstellung von mehr Bügeln wurden nicht erledigt ...
Es gab im Hotelzimmer auch keine Informationen zur Nutzung des Restaurants (keine Information zu Öffnungszeiten)...
Es war aus Sicht der Probleme bei der Unterbringung kein schöner Urlaub.

No puedo opinar sobre el Meroddi Galata Mansion, porque sin aviso previo fuimos desviados a otro hotel cercano de la misma cadena, el Meroddi Bağdatlıyan Hotel. Este otro, es un hotel correcto si vas a una habitacion normal, porque a uno de nosotros le dieron una habitación muy pequeña y claustrofóbica. El desayuno es normal, tirando a malo. Y el servicio es muy impersonal. No volvería

We arrived late, around 22.00, after five minutes searching in the laptop they said our room was not available, but that they have nine hotels close to this one and we will get an upgrade, a better room. After running around from place to place with our luggage, at least they carried my wife's luggage, and after having the second and third guy to \"help\" us, we finally got to a place where we could stay. That room was absolutely no upgrade but more like a downgrade (nothing like the pictures), and for breakfast we had to change location. Absolutely unacceptable. We didn't say anything at that point, we were tired and said to ourselves that we discover Istanbul, so we wouldn't stay that long in the room. At least the people we were facing were friendly and tried to \"help\" in this unacceptable situation. Breakfast had a good choice but lack in quality. Room service (changing towels etc.) was good.

Hotellet ligger godt centralt. Men det er meget små værelser med en lille, blød seng og meget indelukket. Servicen var fin. Særligt en af receptionisterne var hjælpsom og sendte vin samt frugt til vores værelse. Morgenmaden var ikke prangende.

elke dag verse lakens en handdoeken, maar als een glas vuil was, bleef het staan. Dit was wel jammer.
De douche in onze kamer was veel te krap : iemand groot of van een maatje meer had moeilijkheden om in de hoekdouche te kunnen. Voor de rest wel een mooie badkamer. In andere kamers kan het wel beter geweest zijn. De kamer op zich was ook mooi maar ook vrij klein, ondanks tussencategorie van grootte.
Heel lekker ontbijt, jammer dat er enkel keuze was tussen koffie en thé en er voor andere dranken moest toeslag betaald worden.
Leuke ligging nabij de Galatatoren die 's avonds mooi verlicht is.
Op 100m van de metro of subway.

Perfect stay in Istanbul

Perfect location, 100 meters from Galata Tower and reachable from many attractions, near metro station, ferry boat and trams. Istklal street (the main commercial street of Istanbul) is 5 minutes walking. The hotel is also good, comfortable and clean. Breakfast is great with many options of Turkish food. There is a cafe in the ground floor, and door remains open 24 hours. Overall, it's a very good stay for tourism in Istanbul.

Odada perde kapanmıyordu, bize sabaha kadar bu konuda yardımcı olamayacaklarını ve başka bir boş oda olmadığı için yardımcı olamayacaklarını söylediler. uğraşarak perdenin en azından yarısını kapatmayı başardık....
Oda o kadar soğuktu ki, odanın içinde kazak ile oturduk. klima da çalışmıyordu titreyerek uyuduk. sanırım hastalanıyorum..

Leider können wir zum Meroddi Galata Mansion wenig sagen, da unsere Zimmer auf das Schwester Hotel Meroddi Istambul upgraded wurde.

Das Zimmer was wir bekommen haben war Groß, sauber und mit einem schönen Bad. Sehr besonders wollen wir persönlich der Leyla danken, die sich sehr bemüht, dass wir unseren Aufenthalt in Mereddi Istanbul stressfrei genießen können und stand uns immer zur Hilfe! Die Rezeptionsmitarbeiter waren alle nett und hilfsbereit vor allem der Ümüt und Ömür haben sich stets um unser wohlhaben gekümmert!

Als resum: super schönes Hotel in der besten zentralen Lage - paar Schritte von Galata Tower und Fährenhafen entfernt! Auf jeden Fall ist es zu empfehlen.
