The location of this place was amazing! It's in the middle of all the restaurants, bars, pubs, shopping, and landmarks. The room was spacious and clean. Beware that there are no elevators though in the buidling. Also, walking from Tophane Station while lugging heavy luggage uphill on cobblestones with no proper sidewalks (as Google told us to do) is NOT recommended though. Take a taxi/Uber instead. LOL

I stayed at Pera Neuf for two nights (three days), and I had a pretty bad experience with it. First the positive, the location was very good, in the center of everything and so close to Galata tower and all the restaurants, so you will not be limited in anything in terms of the location. The room was clean and modern, although tiny.
However, on the negative side, there were some issues that made my stay so uncomfortable. (1) First of all, there is no elevator and the room is on the fourth floor. When I mentioned that, the owner became super defensive, saying that it was written on Expedia. (2) What was not on Expedia though was the fact that they do not have working AC. When I complained about it, the owner said someone would come as early as possible next day to fix it. Of course no one came and it was unbearably hot in the tiny apartment. (3) Also, the picture of the balcony does not represent the reality. The view from the balcony was not as nice as shown on the website and was looking towards the back side of the building. (4) the room is not double room, it is a tiny room with one double bed ad a couch, but it is one tiny room.
Overall, I think Pera Neuf has potential but needs to improve its facilities and service. I would not recommend it to anyone who has mobility issues or expects a comfortable stay in summer. Also the Expedia page does not represent the reality of the room!

Nice apartment in a great location. We stayed there for 2 days. Our first impression of the place was so good, but later we realized that there is some sort of sewage smell coming from the toilet and filling up the whole room. We had to keep the windows open all the time.

Sinem was the first friendly face who greeted us despite the late hour of our arrival (11pm). She was waiting for us and immediately showed us to our rooms and helped settle us in. She even called and helped us make our reservations for our Hamam (Turkish Bath) the next day by calling from her personal cell phone.
The suites are located just outside of a metro station which made our commute to and from the airport very convenient. There were tons of cafes, shops, and restaurants around this hotel location and only a ten minute walk to Galata Tower and ten minutes away from Takism Square.
The only inconvenience is this hotel does not have elevators and hauling luggage up four flights of stairs can be challenging. However, the suites are all a one room studio with a sitting area, small kitchenette, with bed and bathrooms. The room is comfortable and ideal for those looking for a homely feel during their stay in Istanbul.

Awesome Location, Super Clean and Quiet at night.
Stayed for two weeks with my wife - Pros: did not use a single Taxi. Close to two Metro stations, ( including the M1A red line that takes you to Ataturk Airport in an hour). Plenty of restaurants, cafes and shops around. seconds away walking from the main attraction İstiklal street. 2 mins away walking to Galata Tower. Quiet at night and Calm during the day (which is a rare thing to find in instanbul İstiklal district at night). Super clean and paying so much attention to details. The small kitchen area was so useful to make a quick coffee or tea in the morning before leaving. The bathroom was always clean and the shower is rainy. The bed and pillows are comfy. The TV have so many channels, however, only one music channel that plays English and Turkish music which I enjoyed everyday. Cons: My room didn’t have a good view, my view was only few buildings backyard. However, if you spend your whole day outside like I did you wouldn’t find it necessary. And my last point is that there is no elevator which will be a good daily exercise for your legs.

Wir wurden trotz später Anreise sehr herzlich empfangen und fühlten uns über den gesamten Aufenthalt sehr wohl. Die Lage der Unterkunft ist direkt neben der Istiklal Straße und somit ideal. Die Inhaberin der Unterkunft war sehr zuverkommend und immer ansprechbar. Auf unsere Wünsche ist sie immer eingegangen und war sehr hilfsbereit. Unser Zimmer war immer sauber und sehr gemütlich. Wir würden die Unterkunft für einen Städtetrip wärmstens empfehlen.

Kaikki sujui muuten loistavasti, mutta aamupalaa ei ollut. Tosin oli mukava tutustua paikallisiin kahviloihin. Huoneessa oli myös pieni keittiö. Osa lusteista oli hieman kulahtaneita, mutta huone oli oikein siisti. Sängyt oli ok. Kylpyhuone oli hyvässä kunnossa. Palvelu oli ystävällistä, hotelli hiljainen ja alue rauhallinen. Hotellin lähellä oli myös hyvä ostoskatu. Vastaanottoa hotellissa ei ollut, mutta henkilökunta tuli sovittuun aikaan paikalle avaamaan ovet.

Utrolig flot og praktisk indrettet værelse, hvor alt fungerer som det skal. Vi blev taget pænt imod af den søde rengøringsdame, som desuden sørgede for at værelset altid fremstod rent og pænt. Vi manglede ikke en reception, da alt fungerede som det skulle.
Beliggenheden var helt perfekt, da der var Metro station lige rundt om hjørnet og flere rigtig gode restauranter i nærområdet. Der er også et mindre supermarked, så man kan handle ind til at lave morgenmad. Et lille minus er, at der mangler træredskaber i køkkenet, at der ingen emhætte er og at vi godt kunne bruge et viskestykke. Men det er kun fordi vi brugte køkkenet dagligt.
Sengen var god, aircondition fungerede perfekt, badeværelset praktisk og godt og vi nød at sidde på altanen om aftenen. Jeg vil anbefale stedet til alle der gerne vil bo i et ungt lækkert område, hvor der er gode restauranter og stadig super centralt med Istiklal caddesi i kort afstand fra hotellet.

This is a brand new apart hotel with spacious rooms. You will feel the comfort of your own house. It is walking distance to most of the good restaurants (meyhanes) and bars and Istiklal street, public transport, Galata tower, many major attractions. Perfectly safe area also for solo travellers. Two things to pay attention: there is no 24 hours reception. You should let them know in advance your checkin time. You must buy your own water from outside as they only provide 2 small bottles if you stay more than 1 night and they don’t sell it inhouse.
