I had an excellent stay at Richmond Hotel in Istanbul. It was a wonderful experience from beginning to end.
The service is of outstanding quality: very professional, welcoming, and always available. You truly feel well taken care of.
The breakfast is remarkable: very varied, generous, and delicious. What I especially appreciated is that it changes from one day to another, which is quite rare in hotels. Every morning offers something different, always prepared with great taste.
The location is ideal: the hotel is very well situated, extremely well connected to public transportation, and above all very safe. It is easy to get around the city from there, and you feel comfortable and secure throughout your stay.
I highly recommend Richmond Hotel and would gladly return.

This was an amazing experience made even better by the staff at the hotel. They made us feel at home. They were helpful, friendly, warm, and very welcoming.

I love how this hotel is in the centre of everything and within walking distance and easy access to tourist spots. The staff were super friendly especially Harun Aslan, he was the best and Richmond Hotel are lucky to have him. He was always so helpful and kind. I wish him all the best.
The only negative thing were the steps to the front desk, they should have a ramp or add escalator. I saw some elderly people struggle to go up and down the steps.
The breakfast also that was included was excellent. Will definitely stay here again.

The staff here was absolutely amazing! We were greeted by the sweetest female concierge. I'm so sorry I forgot her name. However, if for some reason she's not around, everyone was super pleasant, gave great recommendations and were always available for any questions we had.

Rooms were very clean and pretty spacious. The bathroom was very nice.

Breakfast in the morning had alot of options as well.

Overall, we would definitely return!

Some recommendations to make it better. In the breakfast area, juice should not be prefilled into cups but in a big bottle where guests can fill themselves. Add a station to cook eggs and add more diversity of croissants, etc.

My new favorite hotel!

I have been to Turkey several times before but this was my first time staying at this hotel. I am so sorry I didn’t find it sooner. I absolutely love this hotel. We stayed in a standard room and switched to one on the executive floor. Both options were wonderful however you can’t beat the view of the sea from the tub. I will be staying here every time I come to turkey.

I recently stayed at Richmond Istanbul, and I have to say—it was the perfect choice! Located right on Istiklal Street, the hotel puts you in the middle of all the action, with shops, cafes, and landmarks just a short walk away.

From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly helpful—always ready with recommendations and quick to assist with anything I needed. The rooms were spacious, clean, and super comfortable, which was a big plus after long days of exploring the city.

Breakfast was another highlight—a great spread with plenty of options, making it the perfect start to the day. Whether you’re in Istanbul for sightseeing or just soaking up the vibe, Richmond Istanbul is an excellent choice.

This was my first time staying at this hotel, and I travel to Istanbul frequently. However, this hotel was a delightful surprise for us. We had initially planned to stay for only five days but ended up extending to 22 nights. It was an excellent decision. The staff's interaction with the guests was outstanding. The breakfast was excellent. The room was clean, free of unpleasant odors, or anything that you might encounter in some other hotels. I used three rooms in the hotel—three rooms of different sizes and levels. All three were equally clean, well-organized, and the staff interaction was consistent. The hotel is excellent for transportation, with very close connections, and Istiklal Street’s beauty needs no introduction.

Sadly for the price I do not think it is worth it. The showers would run cold then extremely hot, the room wasn’t fully cleaned when I got there (stains on the walls and toilet) one good thing was the breakfast. Oh yeah and the walls a super thin so you can hear everything.

**Review for Hotel Richmond**

I recently stayed at Hotel Richmond for 10 days, and overall, it was a good experience. The hotel’s location in the heart of Taksim is its biggest advantage—being centrally located meant we didn’t need taxis or buses to visit the main monuments and attractions, which made our stay very convenient.

The breakfast, however, was not up to expectations. Considering the hotel's price range and star rating, I believe it could be improved to better match its standards.

The check-out experience was mixed. The receptionist was exceptionally kind and helpful, ensuring everything went smoothly. However, the assistant manager left a bad impression. At check-in, we were told that the chips and Snickers provided in the room were complimentary for the first day. Unfortunately, on the last day, the assistant manager rudely demanded payment for these items, despite the earlier assurance. To make matters worse, he spoke only in Turkish with his colleagues in front of us, which felt disrespectful.

While the location and general service were good, this incident with the assistant manager significantly affected our overall experience. Improvements in professionalism and transparency would make this hotel an even better choice for travelers.

I should mention Solin at breakfast food court ( my friend left her necklace on the table , next day when we walked in for breakfast Solin brought the necklace to us and said you dropped your necklace yesterday, reception desk and bell boys all very courteous and friendly and lastly the housekeeping lady was extremely nice and polite and did an amazing job to keep our room clean.

We were given a room that wreaked of smoke even though we obviously had booked a non-smoking room. Upon raising the issue, they offered to switch to another room which wasn't as nice. Despite this, the location of this hotel is so good we forgot about the smoke and just stayed in the original room. It's Istanbul anyways and people smoke everywhere!

Other good things about the hotel are the breakfast, as well as helpful staff. The gym is small but still usable.

I give four star to following reason:
I liked the location of the hotel in the middle of shopping district but there is one big problem in regards to accessibility via taxi. There was five of us with large luggages and the Taxi drivers got into very heated argument with local police in two different occasions since they wouldn't allow for taxi to unload for two minutes. I'd like to mention that access to hotel is a bit difficult since small roads ending up to Isteklal Cd. are all steep and handling and dragging large luggages are quite challenging. I believe the hotel should make an arrangement with local officers to accommodate this problem and consider an exception.

Nice hotel in the most vibrant area of Istanbul - you step out and you are amidst all the shopping, party, architecture and culture this area can offer. We didn't get the upgrade we requested as gold members, but... Hopefully next time.
Breakfast could be better having in mind what the famous Turkish breakfast could be.

this hotel has a unique problem: from street you will have 3 steps to enter through the front door but immediately after that you have another 12 steep uphill stairs to walk up before reaching the reception. And there is no elevator to carry your luggage !!

Had such an amazing stay at this hotel. Definitely one of my favorite hotels I’ve stayed at thus far while traveling abroad. From the moment you walk in the receptionists take care of you in such a great manner. Not only are they nice they also go out of their way to help you with what ever your needs may be. Situated perfectly on a street with lots to do. Arda (front desk) was excellent and treated us so well! The staff definitely made our stay in Istanbul much better and at ease. Thank you!

Since my first review was rejected, I’ll rewrite as simple as it gets.
As a second stay at Richmond in Istanbul, i can clearly say the following:
Staff are not friendly, if you ask for something as if they don’t like to help.
Most important thing, I don’t know if I can trust this hotel again when my suitcase was gone missing from the reception safety!! The manager was the only helpful person who made sure we located our suitcase and got it back while taking us to the airport on his expense.
Other than that, the hotel is nice, clean, perfect location with fine rooms.

I enjoyed the property. I liked my room. I liked the location. The only issue I had was when I checked out, the desk clerk asked me if I used anything from minibar. I told him no. He didn’t believe me, had me sit while another staff member checked the room to see if I took Doritos or candy bar. Very strange feeling to be treated like that after a five day stay.

This hotel on Isticklal avenue in on a lively busy street and is close to transport facilities and it was easy to make our way around the historical sites we wanted to see. Good eateries, currency exchange vendors, fashion, makeup and perfumeries all make up the lively street. The staff at the hotel are very good. I had executive room with Bhosphorous view. I found the services are lacking, only one complementary bottle of water for the entire stay with no glasses to drink the water, one complementary coffee and tea, cups are provided but no spoons to stir, the water in the tea pot did not seem to have been changed for a while. These are little things but would have made my stay more pleasant. Breakfast was included in my stay and the spread was good.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location, other than that not much to say. Rooms are dirty, breakfast is awful compared to other hotels in istanbul. Not to mention the walls are so thin and the front door is so badly sealed that you heard each time someone passsed or talked like there were no walls around you… would recommend trying diff hotel in area its notworth going to this one.

Richmond is one of a great 4 stars hotels in Istanbul. It has a perfect location with great condition.
The hotel is amazing, welcome area is spacious (unlike how you might think), rooms are nice and comfy.
I stayed with my wife (for our anniversary for 8 nights) and here comes the things that lowered its rating:
- daily housekeeping actually tidy your room without cleaning
- on entrance, you need to hold your bags for couple of stairs to reach the lobby
- the staff, well it’s a matter of luck. We had a very friendly staff at the welcome but ended up with a very unprofessional and disrespectful staff on the last day.
Just cause we didnt accept to take their €50 taxi to airport, receptionist left our bags on the side and didnt even call a taxi for us! We had to drag our bags all the way to marmara taxi (500 meters).
We can’t say we didn’t like staying there, but with that service, not much acceptable.
