Everything was perfect ,Reception ,My room with a view on 15.th floor ,Jazz night at the lobby ( No music charge for hotel customers ) ,location ( restaurants,coffees around ,Price was reasonable ,Award winner restaurant at the roof ( Mikla ) .3 fast elevator ..the only problem is car parking ,If you leave to the valet ok but if you want to park by yourself electrical cars is not allowed at their garage ..I will definitely come again .Thanks ❤️❤️😻

The staff are friendly and ready assist with anything. It’s always wonderful to be greeted by Mustafa-the house keeper, he makes sure rooms are clean and tidy.
The breakfast is amazing, a great spread of breads, salads and cheese.
Big shout to Asma who makes the best omelettes, always with a smile and she remembers you following day too:)

The room was clean with great views over the marmara sea and towards the asian side. Everything was ready for us when we arrived. There’s robes and slippers. The shampoo, shower gel, conditioner and lotion were all zero parabens and zero soap. We weren’t able to use the pool as it was already cold and they have closed it for the season now. We did not include breakfast with our booking as we intended to eat out for most of the stay. The location of the hotel is just one street away from istiklal street and a few minutes walk to the galata tower and area which is so busy and buzzing at night. Amazing as its very close to everything. The karakoy tram to get to sultanahmet is also short walking distance downhill. Great stay. Will be back again, hopefully when there is a bosphorus view room available.

Great view and location. Some attention to detail was lacking as we had multiple body washes and no shampoo in our room. It’s quite loud in the area and some of that sound carries into the room but it wasn’t to the point where it affected our sleep. Overall a good stay.

The location was nice right next to the shopping area which is a big plus. But at night, may also be noise because of the bars nearby. And for our stay the WiFi in the room didn’t work properly. The swimming pool at the top was quite winding, and small.

The photos on the website and Google are not real and have been manipulated. In my opinion, they are photoshopped.
The location was not suitable at all. It was very far from Taksim Square and there was no proper or pleasant way to walk.
The staff’s behaviour was not good at all. When we arrived, they were outside the hotel smoking.
This hotel is of very low quality and old.
The curtains were very dirty, dusty, wrinkled, and even torn.
The floor of the room was dirty and smelled bad.
The toilet and bathroom were very old and of low quality.
There was a gap in the entrance door of the room, so people could see inside. Even the smallest sounds came into the room, including the sound of the toilet from the next room.
People are not sleeping inside this hotel!! Not suitable for a family at all.
Breakfast was very poor:
They were cutting fruit next to the gas stove, which didn’t look good and wasn’t hygienic.
In dishes like beans, they used small spoons which fell inside and became dirty.
Some of the kitchen staff were very rude, some didn’t speak English, and they didn’t respect each other.
The chairs were all stuck together, not suitable for a two-person couple, and the space was not used well. We didn’t feel comfortable.
We left the hotel after just 5 hours.
It was one of my bad experiences in 22Y.
The most generous score I can give is 3 out of 10.
Overall, it’s a 2-star hotel. Maybe in this season, $40 per night could be reasonable, but I still don’t recommend it.

- the room was not cleaned properly. The side tables and window banks stayed stained from drinks
- the taxi to the airport: I understand that the employees try to make a leaving. I am feequent and I know the prices. When I asked to get me a taxi because leaving early morning one told me it is fix price 1400 TL the other said 1600 TLZ i know it is not fix and according the to meter at that time max 1200 TL. It is not good for high end hotel.
- the rooms need a facelift
But also had to say got a fantastic upgrade. Service in general great. Location and view from room or roof swimming pool amazing as well as the breakfast.

The location is unbeatable. My room was a little small but bathroom was really small. AC fan was too noisy. Staff was kind and valet service was really cheap & convenient. Breakfast was satisfactory. The Property has a different design and is well kept. The room where we stayed was on the rotating tower, it spins around providing you with different views.

The cons…. We felt in a Motel instead of a 5 Star Hotel. Staff is scarce. Upon our arrival after a long motorcycle ride, we went to the sea to cool off and watch the sunset. Although they have a bar by the sea (BTW no sand beach, but rock’s cliff), service is offer until 7:00 PM Sunset now is about 9:00 PM. While they say CLOSED, the staff was drinking and smoking, while we were thirsty.
We moved to the pool looking for something to drink, a long walk to the cafeteria bar. At 11:30 PM we got a call advising us that someone was on the way to the room to collect money o CC for the drinks by the pool.
We just simply opted to spend our time in Antalya out of the hotel just to avoid more frustrations.
The worst part of all, I paid top money for a 5 Star hotel, just to get a mediocre service with a hotel nearly empty.
Breakfast is amazing with many selections to choose from.

Had a great stay at Marmara Pera Hotel. The place was clean, well-maintained, and the breakfast had plenty of good options. Staff were kind and responsive—we even got a free upgrade to the top floor with an amazing view. Only downside was the language barrier, as few staff spoke English, but overall a great experience.

We had a room on the 11th floor overlooking the city and the river. The room was very spacious and on arrival there were some sweets for us. Complimentary water daily and tea and coffee.
There were just two downsides, the first was if you open the window at night it was just too noisy to sleep, nothing the hotel can do about it just one to be aware of. The second is the bath, the shower was fab, hot and great pressure but, it is within a bath and the side of the bath was much higher than a standard bath and as such climbing in and out was done carefully.
The main restuarant in the hotel is fine dining and not one for regular meals. Pera 77 is also on the higher end so great for the odd night only. Breakfast is excellent and is served in the Pera 77. Such a wide variety and omelet station.

Overall, I really liked this property. If I had two negatives, they would be 1) \" Only one chair in a superior-class room while there is a table for two\" 2) Not that I watch much TV when I am on vacation but having only two English-speaking channels ( one of which is CNN and the is DW, a European CNN-like channel). Make sure to bring your computer and Netflix password so you can stream. Otherwise, this is a great hotel, excellent breakfast, 100 feet from Istikal Street, close to historical sites, and excellent transport, next door to a pharmacy, and near-by local stores to purchase cold drinks. Enjoy!!

The main reason I booked this place was for the swimming pool—but it was closed, which was extremely disappointing. On top of that, there were window repairs going on, with loud noise and workers around, leaving me with no privacy. This was not the relaxing stay I expected.

I had a suite with fantastic 180 degree views of all that matters in Istanbul. However, lighting was very poor, bathroom was impractical i.e. no shower curtain, the sink was too cramped, drain was clogged. Internet was intermittent, coffee machine partially worked and the staff, though friendly and pleasant , had very poor command over English and forgetful, one had to remind them again and again for same request for coffee pods or water in the room. Over all hotel has aged and needs major renovation and staff training.

Close walking distance to everything! The busy and big shopping Main Street as well as the cute quiet quaint streets with less tourists. There was a little bit of everything here. Walls are a bit thin, so if your neighbor is an early riser you might be too. Staff were all so friendly and kind.

Horrible customer service. The front desk staff were some of the rudest and most dismissive people. We were placed in room that had zero sound proofing and we could hear loud party music for hours. Reception ignored our complaints multiple times and even blocked our phone line after falsely claiming they would come and check the issue. My partner and I ended up going down to reception for some resolution and were told to take a seat while they continued to ignore us and speak to each other in Turkish. When we eventually demanded a resolution, we were begrudgingly taken to another quieter room, despite the reception previously telling us that the hotel was booked solid. I have never experienced anything quite like this in my many years of travelling. Would recommend everyone to steer clear of this horrible hotel.

My family and me stayed at the hotel for two nights. I can’t believe, but it’s 4 stars hotel and my youngest son got a horrible rush from bed bugs there. Also, everything looks very old, shower made a horrible noise when i used it. Reception staff was very unkind. Very bad experience! Never again!

Where do I even begin?! I’ve stayed at the Marmara pera 3 times in the last 5 weeks and I’ve had an exceptional experience. We’ve had the pleasure of meeting Gorkem the gentleman that works at the front desk and he truly treated us like royalty! In fact, they all have. This is definitely a hotel I highly recommend for every need from location, ambiance, staff, cleanliness and food!!!!

The Marmara is a comfortable hotel with a relaxing lobby and in a great location. The Pera Club room was comfortable with a great view of the city and Golden Horn. The reception staff were great and allowed a later check out and lent an adapter plug. I’d stay again.

Check-in went well and our bellboy- a 16-year-old trainee was excellent. Our housekeeper was great at attending to our needs although she did not speak English. But the service in the main resturant on the ground floor was awful. The staff were preoccupied with their personal conversations and paid little to no attentionto the guests. Also they shouted across the room to each other disrupting what should have been a relaxing atmosphere. They marred our entire experience.

Very bad experience. The hotel is next to 3 nightclubs. I was traveling with 4 small children and non of us got to sleep until 4am. The reception staff weren't very helpful and eventually offered us ear plugs. The room service food was also inedible. I eventually checked out 1 night early and checked into another hotel without the help from Expedia or any refund or discount from this hotel. I wish there was some notice about the hotel being in a club surrounding, it is not for families

Great location to check out all the tourist sites of Istanbul! We would totally recommend for couples and young adults as it was in the heart of the action for shopping, dinning and night life. We loved this ocation but stayed with small children and next time will probably stay somewhere off the beaten path and more family friendly with kids
