My room was beautiful and spotless.
The location couldn’t be better. There are so many shops and restaurants nearby.
I stayed there for 2 nights and was able to relax and rest.
Front desk staff were professional and polite.
But unfortunately my check in process took oddly long. In other hotels it takes 5 minutes or less, but here it took more than 10 minutes.

The staff on check in were helpful and polite. The room was easily accessed with a lift, and was clean and comfortable. The position of the hotel is great for exploring this part of Istanbul. The only thing that let the stay down was the breakfast. The room was small and crowded (I had to share a table with a family, which I felt was not a great experience for them). I had to queue for a table, and then the buffet was seriously depleted. I think too much space was given over to a whole table of different biscuits, the bread was stale, and the hot food had two of the four options being deep fried cheese rings, and some vegetable nuggets!?!?! More coffee, better juice, fresh breads, and simple options of cheese, meats, and hot food would be perfect, and a lot simpler to supply I think.

Great location and customer service

Staff was very helpful and attentive, from the front desk to the dining staff. Nazani made sure that our meals were taken cared of. The only complaint I have that our room on the ground floor took longer to cool down as the AC did not seem that powerful.
Outside the hotel, we did have a communication breakdown between hotels.com and the pickup service. Hotels.com will need to improve their communication services to ensure messages between parties are sent correctly and timely.

We enjoyed staying here. The staff were great. The room was quiet, bed was comfortable and everything was clean. The breakfast buffet was very good, with a large selection of dishes. And the area was the best - close to the metro M2, sights and the walking street to Taksim Square.

The rooms for a Queen Deluxe were a little small: there was only one side of the bed which was accessible in the normal way. The room was too hot at night- the air-con was weak and our room seemed to have the heater on!
The breakaways varied and lovely, but the space in the eating area was too small for the number of people eating.
The staff were very helpful and very pleasant.

Friendly and polite staff. But the rooms were very small. And the tea maker in the room was rusty. And the breakfast was of poor quality. For the few days we were there, every time we went for breakfast, the tables were dirty and tea and coffee were not ready and the breakfast was not of good quality.

staff were very friendly . we arrived at night Mr Berkant welcomed us and made check in easy and simple . Initially we booked a room for 3 people but turned out small for us so i went back to Berkant and helped me to move to one bedroom apt after 3 days with paying additional fees but I gotta say he was very helpful and professional .he helped even with other things in the city. In the breakfast the staff super nice and friendly especially Zeynep . Zeynep was always smiling and welcoming us. she would make sure we get everything we needed. Thank you Zeynep for everything. Even Ibrahim in the breakfast staff was professional and friendly. I have to mention also Umit who works at the front desk i had an argument with him first time i talked to him but next day he apologized and tried his best to help us . He even helped me to get the cheapest rate when i extended my staying after 10 days . Overall, I would recommend this hotel for everyone but keep in mind rooms are not that big . The area near the hotel is gorgeous and is close by to Istiklal street. At night is quite you can sleep with no problem . I would like to thank everyone there especially Zeynep , Berkant, Ibrahim, Umit and Baha. last day I got a free ride to the airport because I extended my staying after my initial booking for 10 nights.

Good location

The hotel location is great. Galata tower is 1 minute away.
We stayed for 6 nights, they let us wait for 5pm to check in because our room was not ready, the room service didn't clean everything in the room, actually, the missed one day we got back to the room and found the room as is.

I recommend the hotel just because of its location

Manager Tried to Switch our Hotel without Consent

Instead of getting a room the room we paid for as pictured on Expedia, we were taken to another one of their “hotels” which looked like a crackhouse. It had broken windows and steps. It was very slippery and wet on the narrow, winding stairscase as if a pipe had burst. There was electrical wires hanging down from the third floor to the first floor, and there was moldy walls with paint peeling. I have 3 young children and they wanted us to stay in this hotel. I had to fight, argue and wait for over an hour to get something that resembled the rooms we paid for.
The hotel also agreed to let us check in early and check out late under the condition that we booked the day we were enquiring about this trip which was on January 19, 2018. Then during our trip it’s like this conversation never took place and I had to spend a long time arguing and standing my ground as well as contact Expedia through FB messenger and on the phone.

Bring your water with you

There was no water as a complimentary but It was written in the room details. When we asked for water(as complimentary or for a certain fee) to front desk clerk he told us \"Did you come to our hotel for just water ?\" After all it was clean and comfortable / with that price I would be my one of the first choices in Istanbul.

Great location, helpful staff, lovely stay

Had a very enjoyable stay in the Meroddi hotel. Was travelling alone, and Cihan at reception was incredibly helpful in suggesting places to see, planning my daily schedule, and even booking a reservation for me at a recommended nearby hamam (a highlight!) All of the staff was very friendly and proactive, which which much appreciated.
My hotel room was on the first floor and more than generously sized for one person. I did hear some noise from above me on my final morning, but earplugs easily solved this issue. There were very few English-language TV channels, but there's no reason to be spending much time inside when there is so much to see nearby!
The location of the hotel was perfect - I was easily able to walk to Sultanahmet Square and all the shopping on Istiklal Avenue is less than 5 minutes from the door. There are lots of great restaurants and cafes right around the corner as well. Breakfast buffet was excellent, and there are made-to-order traditional egg dishes available as well.
Would absolutely stay here again on my next trip to Istanbul!

This hotel is in an excellent location - only a 2 minute walk from the Galata Tower and approximately 10 minutes from Taksim square. I felt really safe staying there and walking through the neighbourhood on my own. Hotel employees are extremely friendly and professional.

Nice hotel in cool neighborhood

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel, just a fee blocks away from the Galata tower and trendy restaurants. The staff was very courteous, the room impecable and the breakfast amazing. We stayed in the lower level of the hotel, the only problem was that we could hear the steps from the room above during the night, but other than that we have no regrets or complaints. I do recommend this hotel!

Leider wurde unser Zimmer nie gereinigt und das 5 Tage lang. Das einzige was das Personal morgens gemacht hat waren Handtücher auswechseln und das Bett machen das war’s auch. Und das Mobiliar ist total heruntergekommen, am letzten Tag hatten wir die WC Brille in der Hand. Das einzig gute waren das Personal an der Rezeption, die Jungs waren super nett und freundlich und die Lage des Hotels war optimal für einen Städtetrip, da es sehr zentral war.

Die Zimmer sind sehr heruntergekommen, unser Klodeckel viel auseinander in die Dusche kam man kaum rein, der Wasserhahn fiel fast ab. Haben gebucht weil das Hotel gute Bewertungen hatte. Denen kann ich kaum zustimmen. Das einzig gute war, dass das Hotel sehr zentral gelegen ist. Das war’s dann auch schon. Würde auf jedenfall nicht nochmal buchen. Da gibts besseres in Istanbul was auch zentral ist.

Oteli gideceğim mekana ve otoparka göre seçip deluxe oda seçeneği ile rezervasyon yaptım. Oraya gittiğimde elektrik arızası nedeniyle başka bir otele yönlendirildim. Standart daha küçük bir oda ile karşılaştım ve sabahın 4buçuğunda başlayan bulaşık yıkama sesleri ile güne tekrar uyuyamamak üzere uyandım.

Die Lage ist top und zentral gelegen. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, die Zimmer sind gemütlich und werden täglich gereinigt. Einziger Abzug gibt es für den Frühstücksraum, der sehr klein und wuselig ist wenn es voll wird. Das macht keinen Spaß.

Fotograflarda gorddugum deluxe oda yerine baska bir oda verdiler . Itiraz edip degistirdik , bu sefer oncesindende kucuk bir oda verildi . Ellerinde rezervasyon yaptigim oda kalmamis , o halde upgrade edip baska odaya dedim onu da yapmadilar . Yani sectigim odadan daha kucuk , sadece yatagin sigdigi bir oda da sıkış sıkış kaldık .

I really enjoyed the happiness of all the staff. Breakfast at the hotel was great. Lots of choices and different food and fruits. Delicious biscuits and cakes. I stayed there an entire week and I am going back with my family. I also got a nice gift at the end of my stay: a travel book guide as a hope to come back and enjoy the wonderful terrace at the 4th flour at Meroddi.

On était 2 personnes dans la chambre, on nous a fourni qu'une carte magnétique pour l'ouverture de la porte de la chambre, d'après le réceptionniste le système informatique ne leur permet pas d'attribuer plus qu'une carte par chambre. On était obligés soit de rentrer ensemble soit l'un de nous deux s'adresse à la réception pour qu'on l'accompagne et lui ouvrir la porte.
Une serviette de toilette mal lavée.
Une paire de lunettes solaires Rayban,laissée dans la chambre, n'a pas été retrouvée.

Die Unterkunft liegt sehr zentral bzw. nah an der metro. Die Austattung ist für ein Städtetrip völlig ausreichend, das Frühstück war auch ok. Im Allgemeinen ist das Hotel weiter zu empfehlen.

Die Unterkunft lag sehr zentral. Die Metro, Einkaufsstrasse, viele kleine Cafes war sehr schnell zu erreichen. Das Personal war freundlichlich. Die Zimmer waren sauber, die Fließen im Bad waren etwas veraltet, vor allem im Duschbereich und das Frühstück war ok, allerdings hätte ich mir mehr Auswahl gewünscht. Etwas mehr Obst, vielleicht auch typisch Türkische Zubereitungen mit Ei, wie man das sonst so von Frühstücksbuffets kennt. Außerdem wäre es schon, wenn es neben schwarzem Tee auch andere Sorten gäbe. Zusammengefasst würde ich das Hotel noch ein Mal besuchen.

Check in sorunu ve farklı odada konaklama

Bagdatliyan otele yaptığımız rezervasyonun check in aşamasında otelde oda olmadığı ve rezervasyonumuzun da o binaya ait bir oda olmadığı iletildi. Oysa daha önce konakladığımız için bildiğimiz bir oteldi. Bizi arka sokakta çok küçük odaları olan bir binaya yerleştirdiler. Odanın rezervasyonumuzda bulunan fotograflarla ilgisi yoktu. Memnuniyetimiz sağlanmadı.
