Location is amazing but the walls are paper thin and you can hear the full conversations of your neighbors, plus the music of the other hotels or bars in the area as well. The parking is 2 blocks away and locked, can only be accessed with a member of staff, which can be inconvenient if you plan on going in and out a lot. There is also no climate control in the room other than a small, extremely noisy floor fan. Bring earplugs if you decide to stay here.

Pros: beautiful property and room. Built on an old Spanish colonial family “mansion.” The courtyard is filled with plants and flowers. Close to town center but far enough away that it’s not too touristy. The rooms were clean, including linens and bathroom. The mattress is comfortable but the pillows are not (I used my own travel pillow) The WiFi is ok but it goes in and out a lot. The shower is excellent - rain shower head and plenty of hot water. Cons: not deal breakers but noted. First, the hostel next door plays loud music all day until 10pm. It ruins the peace and quiet of the setting, including inside the rooms. Second, more comfortable outdoor furniture would be nice. As it is, there are uncomfortable iron wrought tables and chairs on the roof (which is otherwise amazing - views of the volcano, etc) and an old couch and uncomfortable hammock chair downstairs. Third, with the exception of the man who checked me in, the staff is unfriendly and unhelpful. For instance, the woman at the front desk never looked up from her computer to greet me when I came in. When I asked if I could check out at 1pm, (check out is noon) the manager gave me only til 12:30 but no one started cleaning my room til 1:10pm. Finally, the included continental breakfast consists of weak drip coffee, a few slices of cantaloupe, pineapple, watermelon, and a slice of supermarket bread, barely toasted. It’s a nice setting for breakfast, though, so I would bring in my own coffee and breakfast items.

Eterna Primavera is excellently located, truly in the center of Antigua`s main attractions. The hotel has a wonderful garden in its inner patio and a charming colonial atmosphere. My room was spacious and comfortable - even if it was one of their \"standard\" category rooms. Their definition of a \"continental\" breakfast (included), however, is rather sparce , as they really want you to buy an \"enlargement\". But, otherwise, the hotel was an excellent choice, which can be repeated.

From check in to check out there were no issues. I didn’t even notice that there was no AC. The room temperature was perfect. There is a security after hours who made sure we were safe. The room was clean and I looked the aesthetic of the entire property. I didn’t really eat anything onsite because I was out exploring but the dining space was beautiful. The location is central to everything walkable in Antigua. I would recommend staying here for all types of travelers. My only negative comment is the walls are way too thin. You can literally hear everything going on in the surrounding room.

Do not stay here, the bed was extremely itchy, there were bed bugs everywhere. I had to shower multiple times to seemingly get them off me. Do not recommend, when we arrived there was not even toilet paper on the room. No air conditioner in the rooms either. Do not stay.

This is a very nice hotel with nice breakfast and beautiful garden though room had no light and smelly fragrance in the bathroom, worst of all was the lack of security with no one at the front reception (right off the street) very often. Arranged transport is not recommended. First time it was cancelled at the pick up time and second time the driver drove so fast on the windy roads. Staff relatively friendly but nothing special.

Not impressed. I booked a 3 queen bed room for my now husband and his groomsmen to get ready in the morning of our wedding. I made it clear upon booking the intention of having the space and the morning of our wedding the staff notified him that the hotel was too busy for a late checkout. He had to scramble to find another place for him and his crew to get ready in which also mean notifying our photographers, and wedding planner of the change in events. Poor communication and customer service.

The front desk staff was very accommodating and helpful. Hotel is located away from the busy heavy foot traffic areas, but still close enough that I was able to walk to wherever I needed go. This was such a nice cute hotel to stay at. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are nice, spacious and comfortable. The only thing I didn't like is that the walls are really thin and if you can really hear a lot of sounds, even people speaking at a normal volume. But honestly, it's not a huge problem because if you're staying in the room for that long, you're missing out on Antigua! :) I would definitely be back.

The room was beautiful, and the garden was even more beautiful. But the lighting in the room was unbearably dim. I could not see inside the closet or in the drawers, I had to bring the lamp into the bathroom, to do make up. Also, there was no sound barrier between the rooms and the bathroom window which opened onto the corridor, did not close all the way. It is a shame because we really liked the hotel and the ambience but we weren’t comfortable in the room.
