I really loved this locations. It is centrally located so everything is walkable. There wasn’t any hot water and I paid for a private room at the top however it’s connected to the rooftop so there is a lot of traffic crossing my room to get there. And other patrons weren’t abiding by the quiet hours. It’s a great area to catch a sunrise so I don’t blame them but the stomping up the stairs and the drones flying at 5:45/6am were not fun for us light sleepers. Besides that all good. Love the staff

The hotel is in a good location, and the staff were nice.

I stayed in the Standard Shared Dormitory and found it to be quite noisy at some points. Unfortunately the hostel did not had any ear plugs, which I would suggest for them to provide. The lockers did not had the option to put a lock on them, and while there was an option to lock the belongings in a storage closet, it was not convenient as you need to ask the staff for access. I also suggest for the owners to add the possibility to lock the storage shelves.

The bathrooms were okay, they were clean but definitely require improvements, especially the showers downstairs.

Quick stay and acceptable hotel for the price we paid. Our toilet was missing the seat (weird) but we just chose to deal with it as we were leaving early next day anyway and did not stay much at the hotel. Bed slept good enough. Shower had an attached heater to the shower head which I had never seen. It warmed the water enough so it did not feel cold. Location was also very convenient which is the main reason we chose this location. Staff was friendly.

Great location in heart of city!

Great little hotel/hostel right in the heart of Antigua. I stayed in a small single room with private bathroom. It was simple and cheap but that’s all I was looking for. Great rooftop terrace with amazing views of the volcanos and city. Front desk is staffed 24/7. This is for someone simply looking for a comfortable place to sleep in a prime location walking distance to pretty much everything in the city center.

There was mold in my room and it had a pungent smell moist smell. The walls are super thin and you can hear everything. The staff seemed distant and standoffish. I stayed in multiple hotels in Antigua and Guatemala and they were all great except this one. The location is perfect but there are plenty of other hotels that are nearby around the same price.

The place is fine I guess. But I came in and the floor looks/feels dirty, the bed cover has an obvious stain on it, and the window into my room leads right to the hallway where there are tons of lights. There is no way to block the lights- it’s frosted glass but no curtains or anything. So the room is bright - good luck falling asleep.

Really loved the price and location . There’s a bar in front of stay along with a gelato spot . Everything is walkable distance , front desk staff super friendly . Clean room with a free water . Had a fan on the wall , extension cord to charge phone close to bed . Can’t beat the price ! Super cute entrance and seating area.

I booked my hotel stay last minute and I wasn’t expecting the best however it was amazing just for one night. Everything is near by and I was able to grab a bite to eat without worrying of venturing to far. There is no running AC but the humidifier and fan in the room was good and I slept well. I love the rooftop area as well

It’s my first solo trip and starting my trip at the why not hotel was a good option for me

If you're ballin on a budget, young, drink, don't mind noise and cramped smelly rooms, then this is excellent for you! If you're looking for sound sleep, a private shtter, and sound sleep, stay away from here. Being frugal backfired on me - after check in and meeting my roomates, staying in my room a bit, i decided i didnt want to be awoken by all the foot traffic in the hostel and by the bar crawl people getting to bed at 3am. I went up the nice rooftop and booked a 200 usd airbnb for 4 nights just outside town in santa anna, super private, no noises. Had a great time. Why not hotel has friendly staff and its a nice place. But if you're looking to sleep peacefully before a hike, be cautious and go elsewhere

Rooms can definitely use improvement. Update/remodel furniture (we had a cable for outlet). Nightstand tiny and nowhere to place clothes.

Bathrooms and floors could be better and much more cleaner. Wall paint chipped. Fan didn to work too well so our room was always muggy /stuffy which made us sick.

terrace was nice but nothing to eat or order from there. You can just go next door for food.

DO NOT get shuttle service there (we needed one for the airport) there were overcharging. 🙄🙄🙄🙄

The property is fairly nice, I personally loved the rooftop. It was quiet. Staff is very nice. My only complaint was the shower. It needs a little deep cleaning and in need of a being repair/replaced; the water never runs consistently cold or hot. I had a solo room and it really was just the dresser, hangar, and a fan which was perfectly fine with me since I was out all day. I would most definitely stay again here in the future.

Amazing staff, super kind and sweet. Very accommodating and always have a smile on their faces. Most do not speak English but will happily accommodate you if you don’t speak Spanish. They are constantly cleaning and are just overall amazing!

Also the hostal is beautiful and has an amazing rooftop that gives a great view of all three volcanoes and the city, when the weather allows it.

i stayed in the first dorm room on the right across from private room 102 the bunk beds in this room are very comfortable and very quiet they make very little noise however the door to this room is very creaky and very loud and makes lots of noise and does not latch properly ive stayed in this hostal multiple times three different room the staff is always very professional and helpful you would think you are at a three star hotel the price is reasonable at 11.00usd per night

Can't beat it for the $$

Found this a very pleasant place to stay. The location is great, there is a rooftop deck with views of the Fuego Volcano erupting in the distance and the staff were very kind. The rooms are basic but comfortable and there are lounging areas with bean bags if you just want to chill somewhere. Highly recommend!

I had a single room and it was a basic accommodation but served my purpose. Convenient to everything and considering this was very quiet. Loved the rooftop. You were unable to have the window open and close the blind which was not an issue because it was cool. If it were warmer I think it would be a problem so a fan might be helpful.

In the room opened out to the hallway, not to the outdoors. Walls were paper thin so hearing the receptionist giggling at
TikTok’s all night adds onto the inconsiderate attitude of the staff. We had an additional booking with this hotel for returning to Antigua, which we have now canceled. It is really cheap, but you get less than what you pay for.
