The room was ok. There was a sign on the stairs saying ‘Please remove dirty shoes’. People obviously don’t. Stairs hadn’t been hoovered in a while. Room was ok, with kettle, TV, and en suite bathroom. It’s ok for a budget Hotel. Right on the River front and close to shops and restaurants. The restaurant is closed on Mondays, so no breakfast review.

Right above the boiler room which was very loud, kept making the radiator make funny/ loud annoying noises all night so got little to no sleep .

I didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment. I stayed in a ‘standard double’, and was disappointed with the room. The heating didn’t work, the TV didn’t work and it took almost 5 mins for the hot water to reach the taps. (A sign in the bathroom said to wait for at least 5 mins for the hot water to run through the pipes. There was a light immediately outside the room’s window which the venetian blind didn’t block out so sleep was hard. The bed was very soft and the bottom sheet wasn’t tucked in - no problem as I did that myself. The staff I met were very nice and friendly, if I stayed here again I would definitely upgrade and not stay in the same room. (Room 21) It felt very unloved and neglected.

The breakfast was lovely, the staff were friendly, kind and thoughtful, parking was easy, the little courtyard outside was lovely, just across the road was the river and it was very picturesque. However, the room was tatty, covered in cobwebs there was areas of the ceiling where you could see the water had come through. The bathroom door hinges were loose, which made it hard to close and open, the shower head had been taped on and the water in the sink didn't drain away very quickly as though the drain was blocked and there was a nasty smell that came up the plughole. It was extremely noisy and the bed squeaked loudly everytime we moved. The lady at the fron desk was wonderful and when she saw i was on crutches, she changed our room to one that was more suitable for me. I cannot fault the staff as they were all lovely but the hotel has definitely seen better days

Booked economy room which was very basic, hot and furniture needs changing. Bottom of the beds were water damaged badly. I wouldn't stay here again although the receptionist was lovely, chatty and well informed.

Impressive building, super receptionist, who was extremely helpful. Had a super, very clean room overlooking the river and was a glorious Easter weekend. The room was large with a lovely big firm bed and nice pillows. TV, kettle, extra heaters and fan(if you needed them). Double glazed windows and super shower with plenty of lovely hot water. Nice to sit looking at the river in the late afternoon too. On the outskirt of the town so reasonably quiet but easily within walking distance of the town. Will book again for later in the year now we know it is here 😀

Nice to Have an Upgrade
We have stayed at this hotel a number of times due to its location near Evesham town centre, making it very easy to meet up with the family who still live locally and not rely on a car. It was a very pleasing surprise to get an upgrade to the bridal suite which took up a third of a floor. We greatly enjoyed the space, but were a bit puzzled about the lack of frosted glass in the bathroom. As usual the breakfast was very enjoyable, with any hot food being cooked to order. We will be staying here again.

Where to start… needs a total refurb . Mould in bathroom & windows. Carpet very stained. Mattresses were also very stained, should have a mattress protector. Overall the mattress & pillows are disgusting

Northwick Arms is pleasant clean and well organised Hotel although the hotel room key card was initially a challenge but I did laugh once I had worked out how to get in my room. The river level was worrying on the last day I hope the level dropped soon.

The hotel has been recently refurbished but doesn't look much better than before. Cleanliness is ... Shocking, I could see some stains everywhere except where the carpet was hiding it. I shared the room with some cute large spiders which I had to help to get out of the bathtub sometimes.

Insulation is quasi inexistant, and you hear everything happening inside and outside.
Stairs are not made for carrying luggage.
Management staff isn't polite nor welcoming.

The WiFi was fine and the breakfasts were good. Although no food was available apart from this, we were able to enjoy drinks in pleasant bar areas both indoor and outdoor. The staff were courteous, friendly and very helpful. All in all the hotel was excellent value for money.

Having stayed at the same hotel in May, partly due to its location, I was again very happy with the professional & friendly nature of the staff I met and the room itself. I also enjoyed the breakfast. The hotel was also happy to look after my luggage on the day I booked out as I was meeting up with people. The only hiccup was the heating in the bathroom being on all the time on a hot weekend. The staff , when told, weren't able to resolve this.

We stay at the Northwick whenever in Evesham. It is good value, pleasantly located and convenient. Every room we have stayed in has been clean and comfortable. Recommended.

A nice enough hotel. Limited bar. Apart from breakfast, no food facilities at this time. Not sure if there are plans to re-introduce a restaurant. The room was comfortable enough and clean, but there was no movement of the air, apart from a fan. No air-conditioning which is fairly common in the U.K. The bed had a bottom sheet with a doonah on top. It was way too hot/humid for a doonah. Having a top bedsheet would have been nice. However, the common practice appears to be no top bedsheet in the U.K.

A sign on one of the doors requested removal of muddy shoes before going up to the rooms which we did only to find the floor outside our room was very wet due to a leak in the ceiling so we ended up with very soggy feet. We did mention it to reception. By the next morning it was starting to get smelly. Such a shame as the room was lovely.

We booked a family room and was told when we arrived that there was a 50% surcharge for the third person. Having stayed here previously and not having this extra charge we felt a little bit ripped off. The room itself the curtains were hanging of the rail which itself was held together by tape. The room had 2 single beds and a double bed. Getting up to go to the toilet in the night and the slats in the double bed came out and upon investigation i found the the slet were being held in place by a piece of 2 x 2 wedged between them and the floor Our daughter ended up sleeping on the floor as she said that was more comfortable than her bed.While breakfast was ok i can honestly say that as a family we will not be staying here again.

The Hotel is conveniently situated. Our room was fine and comfortable, but during a heavy rainfall, the blocked gutter above sent water splashing down onto the path below, which kept us awake most of the night. When I told reception at checkout, they were not too bothered about it. Also the floorboards in the room above were very lose and it was very noisy whenever someone walked above.

Wife had recently been ill and they moved us to a room on the first floor rather than the second to make it easier. They cannot install a lift as it’s a listed building. Brilliant service all round. Very nice staff. No hesitating in recomending this hotel.

On entering our room it was cold very cold radiator lukewarm so had to turn on the electric heater that came within….even this had a faulty foot /stand so had the worry of it falling in the night and setting fire to the place.
The bathroom was large but ice cold no heating in here at all
But I think the worst was the yellow pee stains still left around the toilet from the previous sloppy customers

Upgraded to duplex. Windows had been left open , no heating was on and room cold. We told receptionist and straight away she switch heating on and room heated quickly. Unfortunately the curtain rings had come loose in 110 which made the room look very untidy and we had to pull the curtain across further to fit window. 8 of us had Christmas meal and the service was *5. Anything we asked for it was addressed immediately. Unfortunately when going for shower in morning we only had cold water. The basin tap had hot water. It is the first morning I have had to start day without a shower for 60years. This added to feeling uncomfortable until reaching home and having a lovely warm shower to feel clean.

We were late to check-in, so I phoned the hotel to warn them we’d be arriving late. I was told that arriving after 2300 would incur a late check-in fee, thankfully I didn’t have to find out how much this would be. This was our second visit to this hotel and unfortunately it has deteriorated .The lady behind reception appeared to be running the hotel almost singlehanded, juggling all the jobs apart from cooking breakfast. Which on a positive note was plentiful and good. We had a room in the annex. The bed was comfy but the room lacked basics eg a mirror, sufficient coat hangers and there was a loose electrical socket. The bathroom was very grubby and dated. There was a shower over the bath. The bath was very old and surround cracked, the shower screen mouldy and no handrail and it appeared to cut out every time water was run else where in the annex. The towels were well worn too.
