Lovely clean room. Comfortable bed. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Provided me with extra cup of fresh milk for making drinks in my room. Food was lovely.
Only disappointments for me were that I had presumed our room was in the main building with a lift but was in a separate building up a slope and with a flight of stairs. I have poor mobility which was a problem but I had not checked this out beforehand Lesson learned. Also the Spa is not next door but is a short walk away and costs £40 for two to have one swim session. Seems expensive to me , maybe not to others. Still it was a lovely stay

The Hotel its self is stunning, beautiful period building and amazing grounds. What let this hotel down was:
The floors in bedrooms were still quite dirty and furnishing/wall fixtures were dusty.
Information about our stay was handed on a piece of paper and I would expect it to be in the room. Not a bad thing, but generally passwords, restaurant opening times etc would not be on a handout.
We were told the bar closed at 4pm Saturday so our party stayed out, when actually we could of all come back and been able to grab a “nightcap” before midnight ( after a very difficult day attending our friends funeral and wake, we would have preferred to be in a more relaxed atmosphere instead of a busy town)
Sunday morning breakfast was chaotic, and felt very rushed. The senior staff appeared to be a female, who not only closed the restaurant door and demanded we go another way, but continued to stomp around , slamming doors, cups and cutlery like her job was an inconvenience. This made me feel very uncomfortable, heightened my anxiety and others in my party felt like we didn’t belong there. This was the downfall of our already emotional visit to Fladbury.
Also regarding breakfast, the eggs Royale and Benedict were cold and the full English lacked sustenance, one sausage and slice or bacon for the price of £25 seems a little disappointing.

Lovely grounds and building. The staff, especially Shabila, were welcoming. Shabila is relentless in ensuring that everything is satisfactory. We stayed on a Sunday and so it wasn’t busy and there was a relaxed atmosphere. Excellent evening meal and breakfast. We had a good price for the room, so it was excellent value for money. The only suggestion would be to look at the heating in the Pear Tree rooms. It was very hot.

Went to stay here for a night with my husband and loved it. I loved the bath in my room as the water pressure was good and I could watch the tv while I was in the bath.
The grounds were amazing and I can imagine how it would look in the summer months. The buildings themselves were very well maintained and absolutely stunning.
We had breakfast with our stay too which was spot on too.
Would definitely come back again. x

Lovely hotel, beautiful old main house with wood fires, panelled rooms, lots of lounges and spots to relax. Friendly reception and clean modern rooms in the mews. Plus two cats! Only thing to mention is that the signs for the outbuildings were a bit difficult to see when we arrived (in the dark & heavy rain), maybe they could be illuminated too? Otherwise a nice place to stay, we would like to go back and explore more of the history, grounds, bunker and restaurant.

The bar looked good but we didn’t use it. Comfortable bed though I had to fluff to duvet up to the top of the cover. Very good breakfasts with plenty of variety.

Beautiful property, the bar staff were fantastic and really helpful with recommendations. The breakfast was so good! The only.issue was the room was very hot- where we stayed (the mews) the pipes were constantly radiating heat even with the radiator off. We had to have the fan on and the window open all night, despite it only being around 12 degrees outside. We also made use of the spa facilities (extra £20 each) just next door which was lovely.

The room smelled strongly of chemical cleaners and mildew. The throw blanket looked like it barely survived WW2, three out of the four pillows felt like they were stuffed with lead and leather. The whole wing was lit with ugly fluorescent lighting. Had to sleep with the window open in the middle of winter to avoid major headache and lung issues.

Parking was a free for all. Reception smelt of stale drains. Room was big and clean but in an annex with a load of students running about until the early hours and REALLY hot!

Food was awful. The saddest breakfast ever, really poor, and dinner included the one vegetarian option of mushroom risotto with no accompaniments for £28!!!! I went to one of the local pubs.

Not bad as a hotel, but there are loads better for the money considering it’s not a great location either.

This is my first ever time at Wood Norton Hotel. It was an 8 hour stay only. My room was in one of the new Red Brick wings outside of the Hotel itself. Next time, I would categorically ask for a room in the Main Hotel with all the amenities to hand. Lighting to the Red Brick extension is non-existent. Not easy in the dark.

From check in up until the time we checked out, every staff member was cheery and helpful. Breakfast, amazing choice of continental and cooked to order. Room comfortable. Shower pressure v.good. Instant hot water. Molton Brown products.
All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely choose The Wood Norton when we next visit relatives in Worcestershire.

Our deluxe king room was at the rear of the property and was clean, quiet and private. When boiling the kettle, I had to place it on the floor as the cable was not long enough to go from the socket to the table. This was also an issue with regards the hairdryer for my wife and a mirror. Iron and board in the room were useful.
On the Saturday there was a wedding reception occurring during our stay and when we required food in the bar, staff were not available and neither was the food as the chef and staff were being utilised for the main event! We had to eat in the main restaurant rather than the bar. Staff were pleasant and friendly.
Overall, we would use the hotel again.

Some guests were able to enter the restaurant by the bottom door at breakfast and seat themselves. This caused mayhem for staff and was unfair on the guests waiting in the appropriate area to be seated. The cutlery could be cleaner. Why is salt and pepper not on each table? Breakfast staff were stressed and sometimes abrupt but the staff at dinner were excellent. The male receptionist on the arrival desk on the evening of Thursday 29th May would definitely benefit from a chat about his personal hygiene. To be blunt he smelt very strongly of bad body odour.
Our room was great with a stunning view. Molten Brown toiletries were lovely. The electric car charging stations were greatly appreciated. The property itself was magnificent.

This property is extraordinary. If you get a chance to stay here, I highly recommend it. The building, grounds, and history are all outstanding and extraordinary. The dinner served in the restaurant is also outstanding. We did not have lunch there and the breakfast was average at best. The rooms are modern, recently refurbished, and spotless. The bathrooms are also spotless. Everything was really, really nice. Especially the grounds and the views. The only thing they could do better is improve their breakfast offerings, and place coffee makers in the room. They do offer instant coffee and hot water in the room, but I prefer to make my own coffee in the morning.

The only downside was the heating was stuck on and I couldn't get it to turn down
My fault, I never called reception. But opening the windows was a shame as we were over the kitchen door and they came out to smoke regularly which stank. I'm a non smoker.
Again. I didn't complain so that's on me.

We have just returned from a lovely trip to The Wood Norton.
They made us very welcome & our room was great.
However there was a bad storm outside & our window rattled & even opened at one stage.
The shower had an issue as it only had warm water although in the sink it was very hot.
We reported this in the morning at the front desk & they were very polite & made sure that we were compensated for this.
More so than we would of expected.
They were extremely nice about it as well.
As mentioned we loved our stay and the main building is lovely .
Breakfast was excellent with good choice of hot & cold items.
Would 100% return as the minor issues didn't put us off returning.
Lovely place & nice staff etc.
Will be returning.

Gem of a hotel !

What a lovely hotel! Very quirky with a mix of old and new buildings/decor but all worked. Beautiful gardens and with stunning views and only a short drive from the attractions of the Cotswolds. The staff were a credit to the hotel, all very friendly, attentive in a relaxed way and couldn't do enough for us. Special mention goes to Beth who greeted us at the beginning of our stay and was particularly lovely. Stayed for 3 nights and sampled dinner and breakfast which was delicious, couldn't criticise a thing. Would definitely stay again and recommend that you do !

A splendid well-maintained and clean 19th century mansion sitting in extensive manicured and flowering gardens which offer walks with views towards the River Avon and Malvern Hills. The building creates a feeling that aristocracy must have felt in days gone by. Very welcoming and helpful staff, including a lively and friendly cat who lives in the hotel, the customer service cannot be faulted. Breakfast offers a vast selection of tasty food and is taken in the exquisitely decorated dining room with very soft classical music playing in the background. This truly is a place where it can be difficult to leave! The only item not provided in the superb bedrooms is a USB plug so an adaptor should be taken if needed.

Check in was not the best. We had driven for about 4 hours and arrived 20 mins before proscribed check-in time and were told we'd have to wait. There was nobody serving in the bar\lounge so we asked reception to call someone so we could have a coffee. Nobody appeared by checkin time so we then checked in. When I asked a little later if I could have a magnifying mirror to apply my make-up, receptionist said they didnt have one. Following morning I asked again and they found one for me. Then my husband had forgotten his shave gel and they couldnt help with that. We had to drive to the shops. The most basic Premier Inn would have helped with that. At the prices they charge, these things matter. Despite that the wedding was wonderful and the food was good.. Serving staff were efficient and friendly. Breakfast was excellent. Just the little things that werent good sadly.

The hotel itself is beautiful! Gorgeous woodwork, carved portraits in the seldom open room off the lounge, beautiful views, just gorgeous…except the pear tree addition. That’s like a Premier Inn.

Some rooms are very noisy, loud, located next to slamming does, hallways, etc. My wife was lucky enough to change rooms. She was very thankful for this as she is a very light sleeper. I was very happy that TWN allowed us to change rooms! At a charge, of course. Never-the-less they did let us change

The staff in the breakfast room are usually polite and somewhat prompt, but difficult to flag down or get their attention if you need something.

It is very difficult to get a drink or anything else in the bar or adjacent room as there is almost never a staff person on the bar. IF you finally do get someone, they drop off your coffee, drink, food and are never seen again.. so you can’t ask for sugar..or another drink or anything. We had to ask the receptionist twice for a service person. To which we got a snarky reply that s onetime will be with you shortly.. and they were not, so I had to ask again!

The chef does a FINE job on the food! Absolutely top shelf! No complaints there at all! Matter a fact, it’s the food that makes up for the sometimes lack luster service and up charges.

The grounds and garden at TWN are beautiful! The gardener really cares, puts his utmost into the lovely flower beds with such creativity and it really shows! Absolutely gorgeous! Book it!

The bottle bank and 07:40 I was awoken earlier than I had hoped. So maybe room 403 is best avoided if possible and if you’re not an early riser.

Such an amazing place

An amazing hotel. The staff are such a credit to the place, they were all so approachable and helpful. Our king size room was spacious and clean, the bed was so comfortable.
Every meal we had there was superb.
We will be back at some point!

Very nice historic property for a 4* hotel. Good restaurant and bar too. The gym is very neglected but usable. I was only for a night travelling for work and I got a really good deal. No air conditioning in the rooms but I was given a working fan. Thanks

Classy hotel with lovely gardens to walk around, very comfortable, customer service was always good, breakfast was underwhelming until we saw there a full menu, OMG THE BURGER IS DELIGHTFUL! !! Be ready to get messy, hit the spot 100% value for money 100%

It was serene, quiet and secluded. Loved the historical component to the property (owned by the BBC and used during WWII). The breakfast was excellent BTW. The staff were friendly, courteous and professional.

Great trafitional hotel. Fab breakfast and service

A lovely traditional hotel. The food is fantastic especially the breakfast. The staff are all very helpful and attentive. I love the atmospher of an old house with all wood pannelling. It also has a gym, which while it could do with updating it does the job. Happy to stay here anytime.

A definite find ....... a real gem.

Great reception, Hotel is in a convenient yet quiet location and the rooms are warm, well equipped and comfortable.
The restaurant provided both a comprehensive menu and excellent service whilst breakfast was a real spread, with both English and a very wide choice of healthy options.
Will definitely be back.
