First time at a Tru. The lobby is very open and inviting. I think it is designed for people to hang out there. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room is fairly basic with a bed, bathroom and TV. Everything was new and very clean. The hotel and room had a very pleasant, clean smell.

Check-in was delayed for about 30 minutes because desk clerk could not get logged into system. She was pleasant and polite, but lacked training.
The room was passable, but leaks in the shower stall, peeling wallpaper in bathroom, and water damaged (swollen) floor tiles in the room made this feel like an 0ther-than-Hilton\" property.

Staff was a bit grumpy. Didn't find my reservations at first, then failed to connect it with my Hilton account (it still isn't). In Chambersburg at end of Sept we received water, not so here. The room is large but there's no place to put the suitcases except on the floor, which is a problem at our age. The room was clean but so far, the experience is like checking into a warehouse for the night.

The hotel has all your basic needs. It's clean and comfortable. For a one night stay it's fine, but I wouldn't want to stay any longer than that. For $200 a night, you can do better.

Aggressively average hotel

Very forgettable stay. Seems like an older hotel that’s been cheaply renovated. Silverfish bug in the shower, the main lamp in my room didn’t work. Asked for a non adjoining room which was not accommodated for some reason. Breakfast was entirely devoid of protein options like eggs or meat. Bed was comfortable, but I wouldn’t stay here again.

It was a nice hotel, but really overpriced. I had to pay an extra $100 non refundable for my dogs to be there. The parking lot has no shade.
Also there were tons of signs that say coffee 24/7 however from the time we got there at 1pm until we checked out by the following day at 2 am there wasn’t coffee not one time.

The hotel itself was clean and smelled very nice. Our room wasn’t cleaned. The bed was filthy and I had to request new sheets because the sheets were dirty and smelled of oily, dirty smell. The sheets were wrinkled and filthy! The floors were dirty with shoe prints all over them and particles all over the floors. I will never stay at the Hilton again! I’m disgusted!

I found hair on the bathtub wall. The bath towels were not folded properly, it seems like the person who cleaned the room didn’t really care about the neatness of his/her job. It seems like the pillows were positioned in a hurry.

Great hotel except for the room

It sounds funny but everything about this hotel is great except for the rooms. The lobby staff is fantastic A+, the lobby itself is fantastic A+, the complimentary breakfast is very good and better than most hotel complimentary breakfasts.

I just can’t figure out why the room is so sparse. No closet, no dressers, no drawers anywhere, no place to put your suitcase unless it’s a very small overnight bag. They do provide 18” of metal pipe with some hangers on it to hang clothes from, but full length garments are going to be dangling on the immovable table below. In the entire room there is only one desk style chair to sit on, so if there are two of you who want to watch tv, one will have to sit on the bed. I just don’t get it.

I waited at the front desk for 20 minutes before someone finally arrived to check me in which was very frustrating. I asked for help with my luggage and I was told that there was no one to assist me. I was clearly traveling alone with a newborn and struggled greatly to get my bags. There needs to be more staff and someone to consistently be at the front desk as it could have become a safety issue

Conveniently located of I-20 with fast food and gas nearby. Easy ride to Madison for shopping and Greensboro for a play put on by the community theater.
Staff was attentive and accomodating. Good hot breakfast included.
For a rather new facility we were surprised our window was practically destroyed and hard to manage.

A totally negative experience!!

We were unable to check in after two phone calls enroute and at the hotel upon arrival. The check-in cleark said they had no record of our reservation and had absolutely no record of us in their system. Three tries to resolve the issue with Hotels.com by phone were unsuccessful since the automated system just kept asking us to re-enter the details of our stay. This all resulted in us making a three and a half hour return home very disappointed with both the hotel and Hotels.com. We expect a full refund of our money ASAP. We have filed a dispute of charges with our credit card company as a result of a very disappointing experience.

Dishonest, poorly maintained, AVOID if possible.

After shopping for a pet-friendly hotel, we chose this Tru hotel based on rate, reputation, newness, etc. Upon check-in they charged me an additional $50 as a pet fee! That was not disclose upon booking and should have been included in the \"pet friendly\" rate. There was no choice late in the day to find something else. This is dishonest behavior.

Additionally, the place was surprisingly unclean and poorly maintained for a new hotel. My desk chair was broken and when I asked for it to be replaced they actually asked me to bring it down! There are no glass or even plastic cups to have a glass of wine - only waxy paper cups. Cheap ice bucket with no lid, leaking shower, a \"floor chime\" on the elevators that sound like a fire alarm going off every time you pass a floor. The list goes on and on.

AVOID AT ALL COST.

this is a new hotel, pretty nice. they need to put a mat in the shower as I almost fell. There was a puddle outside also when I got out. We stayed in room 208. There was a big bussing sound maybe from the airconditioner but it as really loud. We would of asked to change rooms but it was midnight when we turned the tv off so we dealt with it.
