Overall the hotel was disgusting. Smelled of weed constantly, old and outdated. Trash can overflowing when arriving outside of hotel, trash cans in the hallways from rooms constantly, a random used diaper in the hallway for over 24 hours. The pool was gross. Loud in hallways.

Online check-in was a joke, as even though I did it, nothing was registered at the hotel, and it all had to be done at the front desk. I was told the systems didn't \"talk\" to each other. The water pressure was very, very slow. I was on the 2nd floor.

The staff was clueless. They could not even print me a receipt when i checked out. Upon checking in, I had to switch rooms because the TV did not function. Same with the second room. The third room, the TV worked, but the toilet did not. Minimal staff was helpless. The rest of my 5 night stay was ok, except for the local working girls plying their trade in neighboring rooms. Luckily that activity was mostly during the day. An overall sleezy feel to the whole experience. I DID manage to get the first night comped when I complained to the owner.

Positive: Warm pool, almost hot tub temperature. Hot breakfast with eggs, sausage, and pancakes on weekend. Working fireplace. Negative: Run down building with broken tiles and grout. Received only 1 towel for family of four, no bathtub plug, and no shampoo or hand soap. Front desk worker was unable to help, so we had to make do. Received rude handwritten note under the door the next morning, which was a new experience. Will stay elsewhere in the future.

1) it took front desk >10 minutes to check me in, and there was nothing wrong with my reservation.
2) elevator possibly unsafe-there was a sign on the back door stating not to lean against it or it would open
3) entire property is badly in need of repair and upgrading. Ceiling coming apart in some places. Rooms and hallways - walls appear to literally be coming apart.
4) pillows were tiny. If coming here I’d recommend bringing your own pillows.
5) bed sheets were ripped.
6) on Saturday night there was a party going on. There was nowhere for guests to park- all spots taken. There was also a tent in the parking lot that took up two spots. We and two other parties had to sit in our cars for half an hour until the party broke up. If they are going to have parties on site they should have more parking.

Always a great stay

The staff is always so helpful in getting you checked in quickly. The rooms are spacious and clean. It's close to a main thoroughfare so it's quick to get to and from wherever you need to be but not so close that it's loud. Having stayed here several times now, I always keep coming back to this location.

The property is old. The bathroom had an old jacuzzi tub, shower doors that opened to the bedroom. Not secure and smelled.

I was notified at checkin that the room i had been assigned had been smoked in. I advised that i have asthma and that wouldnt be good for me. The front desk showed no empathy and just stated that if i was not willing to accept that i would have to be checked out because they were sold.out. Not accomodating at all so i didnt spend much time in the room. Not to mention the shower only produced luke warm water.

The Low Point Of Our Stay In High Point

The front lobby was welcoming and the staff at first was very accommodating, however, that is where it ended. The temp in the hotel was comfortable downstairs but the elevator had heat pouring out of it and was very hot. We told the front desk and she said she had been in it and it was ok, she also said well, it's that time of year. She was not very attentive to customer needs at all. We were there for 6 nights for a family funeral and had it not been for that stress, we would've looked for a different place to stay. There was no \"hot\" breakfast as advertised, not once was there actual bacon - it had boiled eggs in the dish instead and the staff said they ran out. We would have understood if they didn't use that excuse for all 6 days! Our room was NOT cleaned for 2 days of our stay with the garbage left, we actually had to use our own plastic bags in the cans. The in-room coffee area was NEVER restocked - even a plastic cup would've been great. Instead of leaving clean towels in the room, the maid came in the late morning and asked if we needed towels. We also noticed that the shampoo/ soap, bottles that were left were nearly empty, so obviously had been used before our stay. DISGUSTING! I would NOT EVER stay here again! This used to be a nice place to stay but I am fearful that it has been run down and will never make a comeback.

Room was very loud. The plumbing in our room and the rooms around us sounded AWFUL all night. The hvac made all types of horrible noise throughout the night. We tried to TV remotes and neither worked. Breakfast was not great. Bed was not comfortabled.

Shower head sprayed really hard and no way to adjust it, toilet wouldn’t fill up after you flushed it and had to open the top of the toilet lid and push down on the fluid master to get it to fill again. Had to do this every time after also. It was a hassle didn’t want to complain because we were just trying to enjoy our trip.

Bed bugs, foul smelling hallways, a mix of piss, smoke and Fabuloso. black residue in the ice machine, people smoking in neighboring rooms. They were aware of the issue and did nothing about it. Peeling wallpaper in bathroom, grout missing in bathroom, broken showerhead, dirty wash towels from previous guest. This place was disgusting. Management explanation of the issues was that the hotel is 24 years old. She was actually proud of that. That’s no excuse for uncleanliness and poor upkeep.

Very Comfortable and Quiet

Was in town for the Wrestling State Championship, stayed at this hotel back in 2016 and there hasn't been much updating to the rooms, however they have updated the lobby. As for the rooms, it was still a very clean and comfortable stay, incorporated fireplace in rooms is a nice added touch. As before, they stay was great and no worries about the area and the rooms, enjoyed my stay very much.

Wyndham Should Do BETTER! While I'm sure the cleaning staff do the best they can, the room I stayed in was stinky (so much I had to Lysol spray everything) and musty, like the carpet needed a deep clean. I felt very uncomfortable in the bedding, I could not walk around barefoot and I was sneezing a lot from all the dustiness of the upholstery. The tub floor creaked a lot when standing under the shower. The hotel just needs a Super Deep, deep clean. And sadly, based on how uncomfortable I felt with the cleanliness of the room, I didn't trust that the breakfast was going to be any good, so I can't comment on it. Also, for $262/night, it was a terrible value for the price. Sadly, all the comments I've heard from my fellow High Point Market attendees have been to advise not staying in a hotel in High Point because they are so run down. I'm very sorry I didn't listen to their advice and book in another town or do a vrbo... Lesson learned. Hopefully the hotels in the area will make investments to improve, at the very least, which is to simply deep clean or change the carpets and freshen up all the dingy furnishings & decor.

Clean inside, not as modern as other places, but very comfortable. Exterior area clean, grounds maintained and well-lit. Housekeeping in my suite was on point.
Ms. Swanusu (concierge?) was extremely polite, helpful, promptly attending to any of my needs. When a stuck closet door prevented my getting the iron/board, she arrived just minutes after my call to front desk, apologized for the problem, and later brought up a new iron & board. So graciously kind!

My husband was recovering from nosesurgery when we were there. The woman at the front desk (Swan Chu on her name tag) told us we could check in early but when we arrived and it became apparent that I forgot to include my child when I made the reservation (because originally we were not planning to take her but childcare fell through), the woman accused me of being intentionally lying even though I was standing there WITH her and she actually called me a liar. When I told her she was being rude, she said she would not allow us to stay there and would not refund our money or allow us to speak to any manager but her.

Because my husband was literally bleeding out of his nose and other hotels were full, I swallowed my pride and begged her forgiveness for calling her rude (even though she was in fact the rudest hotel employee I have EVER come across). After begging her to let us into our room for 10 minutes, she deigned to allow us in (but only after many apologies from me).

I have never left anything but good reviews on this or any site. I stay at hotels a lot and you may notice have never written a bad review but this was hands down the WORST service I have ever had.

It did not end there: The TV in our room didn't work, the carpet was soaked with water that leaked from the AC, there was only a single outlet between the two beds. I was too afraid to complain to the desk about flooding for fear of being thrown out by this horrible woman.

Overall stay was okay. Comfort and condition were horrible. The a/c hardly had enough force to reach to the bed. Minimum temp was held at 60 which was not enough on a hot, muggy, summer night. The window screen was punched out and hanging and the window itself was off the track. Sliding glass doors required a lot of elbow grease to move them. Was not provided a DnD sign so house keeping tried to barge in at 7am. Garbage from the previous visitor was still in the recycle.

Booked another hotel within the hr of checking in to my room. and my expectations were met with at a Comfort Inn. The hotel refused to refund me my money for the entire stay and charged me for the night even tho I did not stay there.

Hotel was easy enough to get to and find. Woman at desk was very pleasant (we arrived at midnight), and had a speedy check-in. Room was larger than expected, comfortable, and clean. We had the surprise of a double shower in the bathroom which I have not seen in a hotel before. Had many amenities that I wish we had time to use. And a great value.

The staff was extremely pleasant and courteous. It was an overnight stay and it suited me and my daughter's needs for 1 night. The only issue that i had was when it was time to settle down for the night I get in my bed and it was broken. I called the service desk to report this immediately and they were more than willing to rectify and place me in another room but i was tired from driving all day, was already settled in my room, and just wanted to lay down. I reported because i didnt want to be charged for incidentals. Again, the staff was wonderful and it served the purpose for a one night stay.
