Room was nice could’ve used a bit more cleaning seen little specs of hair so it wigged me out. Water pressure in shower very low .. hot tub is fine and great most of the hot water goes there I see. One of the night stands didn’t work nor did it have a bulb in it. The WiFi only works at night and wouldn’t work for anything else but my phone. On another tip the bed was very comfortable but room could use some updating

When I arrive, they told me that they didn’t have any clean rooms available. They gave me a room that they hold was clean. The room smelled like smoke when I got there and now they are trying to charge me $150 for a smoking fee.

to the room, the air conditioning was on remind you. It’s like 10° outside. It was 40° in the room so freezing and then I turned the heat on and went to sleep when I woke up this morning. The room hadn’t heated up past 66° so it was still very cold in the room. This is Illinois. There’s no reason that after they turned down a room, they shouldn’t be turning the heat on so that it can be a moderate temperature in the room for the next guest. I woke up this morning to take a shower at about 830. I let the water run for about 10-15 minutes It never got hot. I allowed it to run for an additional 20 to 30 minutes. It still never got hot. I called down to the front desk, they came and did an adjustment to the tap and then they told me that I could not shower for another hour because other people were showering right now and the water wouldn’t be hot until they were done which meant I couldn’t shower until 1030 check out was at 11. It didn’t allow me enough time to get myself fully together. This was a terrible stay. Also there were no washcloths only hand towels and bath towels in the room luckily, I brought my own washcloths

The staff was very courteous. They even allowed us to check in early. The only issue we had was addressed immediately by the manager and she was absolutely wonderful. The only complaint I have would be the room was a little smaller than I expected but other than that it was wonderful.

Room was horrible people hanging out seem to be partying all over barely any breakfast if able to get it at all seem like residents were taking it all basic cable no pool access to pull it outside the office area is in the lobby which is a cold walk and you're constantly looking around the corner to see if you're going to get jumped felt unsafe there's no women cold walk to the office all outside access place needs to worry about staying customers as much as it worries about gaming parlor and alcohol

I loved the person who checked me in She had Colorful hair and a sparkling fun attitude I was there to spend a cpl nights as I was getting married and chose here to stay for the budget. The beds were stiff and very firm but my New Husband loced them i on the other hand didnt but was verry happy with the clean room hot showers and kind friendly staff... the lady that checked me in was Stephanie i think i lost the paper with her name on it but she was amazing !! Will recommend

Room was not available upon arrival. Stated they did not have a reservation from me. Since it was through 3rd party they were making it difficult to find me a room. Then they did get me a room. After I got to the 3rd floor with all my stuff they called me and told me they had a different room for me so then I had to pick up all my stuff again and go back down to the first floor. After I got the room key and went to the new room the key would not work. I had to call the front desk again. They had to come open it with a key because they could not get the room key to work. They said they would have someone come fix it in the morning but no one ever came and I had to go to work. Still not fixed at end of day. They guess no one relayed the message. They had to find a new room for me again!! They said they were upgrading my room to a Jacuzzi room. I told them I don't need that. I'm just there to sleep and work. They never once offered me money off my stay. That would have been beneficial. Not a hot tub!! There were also several other issues but I'm not trying to write a book. Staff is rude, and unhelpful. The owner is a joke! I now will be calling corporate!

Room was hot and AC didn’t seem to work great, but leaving the window open before bed fixed that issue. Beds were comfy and room was clean. Room was tiny, so not enough space to walk around the beds all the way, but they left some space by the bathroom for suitcases. Great location. Was a pain to walk around the whole upstairs to get from the elevator to our room, but at least there was an elevator; not every motel has one. Overall, perfectly acceptable for a cheap stop-over hotel. Would stay again.

Overall very good experience. The only downside is the trailer park and storage units behind it. Lots of riff raff walking through or hanging around smoking. Room was clean and staff was very helpful. The people in the next room we're smoking pot, and it was wafting into my room at off times if the day and night toward the end of my stay. Would stay again if nothing else available.

Clean place to sleep-no frills

If you are looking for a clean place to sleep this is a great, affordable option. The rooms are small but clean and decently updated. The beds were comfortable enough. The ladies working were very friendly. There wasn't much for breakfast (waffle maker, bagels, apples) and there's quite a bit of noise from the highway but I would stay here again if I am in the area.

While I was sleeping, another guest was mistakenly given access to my room and opened the door — a very alarming and unacceptable breach of safety. On top of that, the room had a strong damp smell, which made the stay uncomfortable. I expected higher standards of security and cleanliness from this hotel. This experience was disappointing.

Had an issue with the room we booked for a birthday get away. Staff was rude when brought to their attention and was also told there were roaches in the room, staff didn’t say much to say about these things when brought up and got attitude that is “wasn’t her problem and she couldn’t do anything about it”. When my daughter and I arrived, the woman checking us in was very pleasant, but there was a strange sort of inappropriate conversation going on between another guest and another individual at the reception desk. The woman checking us in said \"We're just joking around.\" either because she was uncomfortable, or because she could sense that we were uncomfortable. When we got to the room, I had to use the washroom and noticed that the spring-loaded toilet paper holder was missing and the toilet paper was sitting on the back of the toilet tank. I also noticed an unnerving off-white stain of something that dripped down the door next to the toilet. When I came out of the bathroom, my daughter showed me that the security door latch had been broken off of our door. It looked as if the door had been forced open before
I recognize that a missing toilet paper holder is a small thing, but I also know that they only cost about $5. It makes you worry what else has been skimped on if you don't even replace such an inexpensive item. Well, the absence of the security door lock answered that question and now it was a matter of safety.
Admittedly, when I checked out 10 minutes later, I didn't tell the receptionist about anything with the room, because the truth was that I was freaked out enough that I didn't want her to offer us another room. I just told her we had an emergency. I understand them keeping our money for that night, but they did not refund our money for the next 3 nights as well.

What we liked: the price, location, friendly staff, our fridge and microwave worked great, the sheets actually fit the beds, the quick response by the local fire dept. when alarm was triggered, and it is apparent that the owner is investing in the property.
What we didn't like: a lot of stairs, our room was a bit too small for 4 people, the toilet seat was loose, a bit of blood spattered on the bathroom walls, and we had ants. Also, Expedia forgot to mention a deposit was needed: $50 on a credit card or $100 cash.
Doubling the deposit amount when using cash left us leery and wondering if we would really get it back. So this worry hung over our heads during our whole trip. But, we DID get it back. If you didn't smoke or damage the room, you get your deposit back.

More so coming from the bathroom vent, so whoever was above my room or in next room over was definitely smoking in their room. Not happy about that. Area smelled like weed from people smoking in the non smoking rooms. No sound proofing at all as we heard the tv from the room below us and beside us all night long as well. Continental breakfast was locked up until about 7:30 am, which consisted of waffles, plain bagels , and a couple cereals. Curtains did not cover entire window so their excessively bright lights outside lit the room up inside all night.Not that you could sleep anyway with the gaps under the door that let all the traffic noise in all night long as well. Bathroom was very small, and the shower had very little water pressure. Never had a hotel actually charge an additional deposit for a stay even after paying for the room up front as well.
