Hotel staff was rude. Whole hotel had a weird smell, the back of the toilet was broke in our room, air conditioning was not really working and when it was on blew warm air and made a weird noise. Hotel also doesn’t offer breakfast and the pool was closed while we were there. Not to mention when we went to check out, the man behind the counter dug in his butt before turning around after we had to ring the bell to notice us standing there. Went to ask for the keys and how our stay was. Asked him to sanitize his hands or wash them before giving us any papers or touching the keys we had to hand over. He was just horrible and rude. 0/10 would not ever come here again. Save your money and also the extra $100 charge after we checked out and they can’t tell us what it was from.

This place is beyond old and dated. The entire place smells like mildew... like it previously flooded. Windows treatments falking off, walls stained, carpet dirty... just terrible. We checked in and checked out immediately. Please remive this \"motel\" from your listing as it is not suitable for anyone.

The Hotel is the cheapest around. It's outdated, discolored walls, peeling wallpaper, and Grimey caulk around the sink and tub. The paint is cracked and flaked above the shower, and dark spots on the ceiling were poorly painted over, just felt dirty. The \"Breakfast\" is not even a continental. It is a small twin pack of muffins and a can of pineapple juice. They only allow you to enter the building through the front entrance. Signs over doors stating exit only. There's no elevator, so getting a room upstairs is a hike. The rooms have an awful odor.

Weird uncomfortable energy wrapped in old building

Staff was not welcoming at all. Rude stares from clearing staff as I was leaving with my puppy. Just an uncomfortable energy from people who are either racist or just rude. Website says pet-friendly but signs say no pets. Hotel only accommodates service animals which is not really pet friendly. Hotel has old furnishings and old smelly carpets. Will nevet stay at this location.

It totally sucked no microwave in room if you have kids do not go here they are so rude about kids swimming and I’m pretty sure they don’t want the sheets we took the sheets off to make sure no bed bugs there wasn’t but when we left they tried to charge 15 to our card because they didn’t lift a sheet up to find a another sheep nasty and it looked dingy and the two older people
Up front were extremely rude

Check in staff was very sweet! Everything is nice and comfy and clean. It has old carpet though, smells funny and feels like a super 8 thlugh. I was very disappointed in the breakfast. I specifically chose a hotel that had breakfast but this hotel did not. They offered 2 packaged pastry options as breakfast. It was a muffin or a honeybun. They should advertise as no breakfast and then put those 2 pastries out as complimentary treats if they want.

I'm going through a short transitional period and I didn't want to be bothered during my stay. I literally had the Do-Not-Disturb sign out for my entire stay. I was only bothered once and that was from the gentleman, who I believe runs the place. I was called on the hotel phone and when I didn't answer, the gentleman knocked on my door. I normally wouldn't of answered the door but I did because I didn't want anyone to bother me for the remainder of my stay. The gentleman just wanted to make sure I was ok since he hadn't seen much of me. He also wanted to know if I wanted my room cleaned. I reassured him a couple times I was fine. I asked for a couple items and that cleaning my room wasn't necessary. I thanked him for checking up on me. And I therefore wasn't bothered for the remainder of my stay. When I checked out, I again thanked him for not bothering me. Since the stay rejuvenated me, and I wasn't bothered as per requested, I'll be back. Thank you!!

Front desk staff was very kind. They were the nicest part of my stay here.

The hotel itself is old, outdated, and a bit cringey. The curtains in the lobby are disgusting, the carpets are old, and your complimentary “breakfast” comes in a brown paper bag and handed to you by the staff if you ask for it. Also, there is no elevator, so if you have heavy luggage, you’ll have to haul it up the stairs yourself. I only stayed here because the other local Manteno hotel was completely booked. I wouldn’t want to stay here again.

The beds were comfortable and pillows were soft. Unfortunately that's about the only nice thing I have to say. The light cover in our bathroom was broken with the broken spring laying on the floor. Either our room hadn't been cleaned or no one bothered to pick it up. The tub handle was broken and poorly repaired with tape. This property charges a $100 deposit for incidentals, which is clearly marked. However, what my issue is, we were charged our room price plus $100 as a hold, and then upon checkout, an additional hold was placed for the price of the room. Instead of crediting $100, I now had double the room price plus $100 tied up in authorizations on my card. The owner/manager was the only person we saw all weekend, and the grab & go breakfasts were full of sugar and left a lot to be desired.

Upon inspection of the room, I found a used condom in the trash and the wrapper next to the bed. The clerk just smiled and gave me a new trash bag.The sink was also clogged my whole stay. When I checked out there were no notes or compensation for the condition of the room. I lived in Manteno which is a great town. I would not recommend staying here for I felt the staff was unaccountable for the conditions and lack of customer service. It was obvious by the conditions that friend or staff are using the rooms and have no respect for the paying customer.

So i thought he was still busy and then finally he kind of sighed and was like \"sign!\" I was like ohhh ok, sorry. So i just wish he would have spoke more and made us feel more welcome.

One thing to me is….
There are no Elevators only stairs to reach the second floor.
Wife wanted second floor I said “OKAY”.

Tv didn’t work, smoke alarm was hanging from the ceiling, bathroom wall had paint coming off and was damaged, the pool had no water in, told them we were paying in cash when we got there, and when we got there he said no cash payments. So we had to find an atm to put our money on a card to use. Staff was very friendly, just not what we paid for.

Great if looking for a cheap hotel room.

Check in was quick and easy, staff was friendly. Room was clean but very out dated. The HVAC unit had minimum control and there was no way to run the fan constantly (for white noise) unless you disabled the Heat or Cool function as well. Since its winter this made the room very cold.
