Could be amazing but around pool and kids water park is so slippery and dangerous, my little one fell over daily in bare feet, was like ice- luckily nothing broken but you see kids falling all the time - they need to change the dangerous tiles.

First time I have given a hotel 5 stars. Absolutely amazing! Very family friendly, staff were so helpful and friendly, great breakfast and amenities. First comfy bed in Asia, really great gym and all areas and our rooms were kept extremely clean. Cannot thank the staff enough for a wonderful and comfortable stay.

Everything was excellent, from the level of service, the location, the courtesy, the rooms, the comfort of the bed, and I will mention a very important detail that surprised me. I asked room service if it was possible to clean the room at 7:00 PM because we forgot to press the room cleaning button that was in red all day, and they immediately agreed and did so.

Very noisy hotel!
Also changed the beach area of the hotel area to tables and chairs!
Started gardening and cutting down trees while we were sunbathing in that area!
No consideration whatsoever to who was there!
Closed bar area outside before it was time, when it was happy hour! I ordered drinks and was refused 15 minutes before it was supposed to close!

A mixed stay at Holiday Inn Bophut

Pros: Staff were all lovely, very clean, great family suites with bunk beds, gorgeous grounds, great food and drinks, lots to do especially for younger kids with splash park, play park and kids club activities, plus easy walking access to Fishermans night market. The hotel Circus night was super fun.

Cons: During peak times we found this hotel to be busy /loud & a bit chaotic - especially around the pool/splash park and at breakfast. During our stay the hotel was dominated by many groups from another nationality, we witnessed rude behaviour towards staff on several occasions and often, the kids were running around unsupervised which impacted our experience a bit - Overall it was a good stay but not 100% sure we would stay again.

The rooms in this hotel are very very good well designed and big modern and clean. This hotel mainly caters for families so if your wanting an adult only and quiet hotel during the day around pool areas its not for you. But the beach area part of the hotel was great with no families. So all in all we were very impressed with this hotel.

Great family hotel at a perfect location next to the beach walk and fisherman market. Great family hotel which is a must if you are traveling with small children to Koh Samui to at least stay 3-4 nights here. Great value for money and you get what you expect. The only comment we have is that the pool is not heated, but it seems like it is common in Koh Samui that no pools are heated at all.

the children swimming pool was closed, so all the kids were in the adults pool. for the guest with kids , they offered a compensation, but for us , we got nothing, while we could not enjoy the pool. Very standard 4 star hotel, nothing outstanding, location is the very good tho. at fishman village center. the night market is just next door.

Great value for what it offers

It was very good for value. Great location 10 min walk away from the Fisherman Pier. The rooms were clean and modern, did not look tired. There is another luxe hotel right next door where I stayed last time, but the Holiday Inn although had less niceties on the property, provided the same service and functionality. I was a solo traveller on \"business\" but it seems the hotel caters to young families with young children / toddlers.

Great stay at this new hotel. Good food and lots of activities for kids. However, the rooms offer absolutely zero sound proof. You can hear everything from adjacent rooms. This is very frustrating when you have noisy neighbours. So bring earplugs if you want to sleep at night.

We immediately felt that our room the property were first rate. Small room but smartly designed. What was strange was our room was made up everyday, but common things weren't cleaned- eg. the toilet, and our coffee table that we spilled takeout food on. (We left a tip for the cleaner everyday... it's obvious to us the toilet needed cleaning as did our greasy coffee table on multiple days.) Check-in counter was great, as were all staff on property. But points off for not actually \"cleaning\" our room. That's actually what we remember as we reflect on our time @HI.

We just stayed here for one night after traveling for about 24 hours (with 3 kids) to get to Thailand from the United States. This property was perfect to have as a “landing pad” to rest and recuperate for the night. The pool was refreshing and fun, my kids loved the mango and banana shakes at the pool bar, we really loved the location, as well as the very quiet and dark room to get a great night’s sleep in. And the breakfast… wow! Exceptional! We will definitely stay here again for any family trips we do to Koh Samui. Great stay!

The room was great and we had a wonderful time (a week).
The pool was very nice.
Very rich breakfast.
The room is always perfectly cleaned, except for the balcony which is forgoten by the cleanladies for some reason.
We got the room early which was great.
However, the late checkout that we asked for was overpriced. They charged us half a night for a few hours late check out. But more annoying is that they charged us for the current rate instead of the rate we initially booked, which was almost twice higher. We eventually ended paying for almost an extra full night for just a few hours late checkout.
Sour ending to an otherwise wonderful stay.

The kids water park seating area was constantly filthy. No one man’s the area, there is only 7 sun loungers so gets busy and dirty as they serve food here too. English is poor at the hotel with all the staff including reception.

The pool bar was extremely crowded at times.

King kids suites were amazing. Seperate room and bunks for children . Perfect. Great amount of space and lovely balcony overlooking play area.

Breakfast was ample and something for everyone, shame the juices were not fresh.

Food in the restaurant for lunch was delicious and two kids eat free with an adult course. No vegetarian items on the menu to take advantage of this offer.

The kids club was huge and clean with a soft play area and lots of space however it lacked a sense of security. Children over the age of 5 could open the doors and just leave if they wanted without parents as noone constantly manning reception and doors are not secure. You could drop children without staff even noticing. This could be a disaster waiting to happen if not rectified soon.

The swimming pool was good, crowded at peak times.

Beach - awful corse sand/stones, not soft sand and jellyfish in sea. Also a smell of gas and lots of boats.

Location - amazing. Night market few times a week outside perfect for street local food and lots of restaurants on the walking street close by - easy access from the back of the hotel.

All in all an excellent hotel got children! Please just sort the kids club security out!

We did not regret staying here at all. The staff were just wonderful, the breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever had at any hotel, the parking was easy, and the room was huge and modern. The beds were honestly the most comfortable I’ve ever laid on and we were so well rested. Our shower was slightly flooding and within literally 2 minutes of me informing the staff, someone was at our door to help fix it. We’d come back in a heartbeat, and my only regret was not staying longer!

We really enjoyed our stay here with our two kids (6 and 9). The facilties are so great for families and it was very clean and well kept. Staff always had a smile for us. The kids loved the water park and the kids club and we got to enjoy some downtime because of that. Well worth the $ for a super easy family holiday. Location is great too!

Excellent excellent location. Outside hotel on the right hand side can hire moped on the right hand side across the road, petrol station right opposite. You have the big supermarkets 5 mins away as well by car and chaweng beach/night life 10 mins

Unfortunately, the stay in the Holliday Inn Resort was unpleasant throughout the stay.

The duty manager (Mink) was lacking basic ability to solve problems and was very unpleasant.

In the rooms we had sewage smell from the bathrooms, the pool was very slippery and dangerous for kids. The chlorine in the pool was too strong, and left us with burning eyes.

I strongly recommend you try another hotel!

We heard about this new hotel and booked this about 10 months ago
Meanwhile we started to receive some negative feedback about the hotel, but we were sure that as part of IHG this hotel won’t be disappointing.
Even few days before our trip a agent advised us to cancel as this hotel is low quality.
We paid very high price for this vacation.
Wasn’t worth it at all.
The staff wasn’t welcoming at all, very rude in fact. We asked to speak to manager but manger never got back to us.
The property was dirty. They room wasn’t clean enough. The pool was horribly dirty.
We even spotted pop in the pool!!!!! And no one came to clean
The splash pad ( kids pool) was full of dead flies and leaves, day after day.
Staff was rude, someone toke our towel and they didn’t agree to give us towel!!!! I had to walk all the way to my room wet as she didn’t agree to give me towel!!!!
The pool is big, but no where to sit
Pool bar staff was very not nice to hotel guests
The breakfast is very very low quality, staff doesn’t fill up empty containers
There is no room inside! You need to wait for 30 min maybe and outside it’s sooooo hot and it’s impossible to eat under such strong sun
I won’t recommend this hotel

Beautiful resort in a great location, that misses the mark by been too greedy and uses towels cards with hopes you lose at least one and pay for it. Another major issue is that not many sunbeds around, and almost no shades. You are left open to be burned. They do it not to block some of sea view from various rooms. Its Holiday Inn, very american style setup, thats not very thai, doesnt spoil you enough. Kids club is the best we have seen, amazing space and facilities, so kids will love this place. Adults, well, at this high price its a mix feeling.

Our room was on 2nd floor with view to a parking lot, for over $300 a night not including breakfast.
And this NOT a 5 star hotels by no means.

A comfortable stay with room for improvement

My husband and I stayed at Holiday Inn Samui for a week with our 4 year old. We stayed in the kids theme suite and it was very comfortable. The resort is extremely kid friendly, from even having a kid section at the check in, to kids breakfast, to (upcoming) splash pad, playground (though we felt the playground is for slightly older kids) and an indoor kids play area with slides, toys, tv and even a Nintendo Switch. I believe you can leave the kids here but I’m not sure if it is chargeable. I stayed with mine as she played.

Some things which we found could be improved on:
1. The breakfast was the same everyday. The Thai dishes were slightly different, but we found that the hotel’s Thai food wasn’t as good as their “western food”. We decided not to include the breakfast when we extended our stay and had breakfast just outside the hotel.
2. Their housekeeping was quite inconsistent. Sometimes they came in the morning, other times in the afternoon. Sometimes they didn’t top up the water and toilet paper, sometimes they over did it. (I did raise this to the manager of which he apologised)
3. I found the flooring at the pool area to be extremely slippery. I saw 3 people slip in the one week there
4. The safety and surveillance at the Jungle Book (the kids indoor area) needs to be improved in the sense that the staff shouldn’t just be sitting at the desk and allowing the children to swing and fall on the stairs. I had to go and tell them to stop the children.

Stayed for 5 nights. Newer hotel with good gym, staff, ad breakfast. This is a family oriented hotel with tons of activities and facilities for kids. The hotel is located adjacent to a beach and a boardwalk linking it to the Fishermen's Village. In addition, there is a night market, 3 nights a week, located next to the hotel.

There could be a few MINOR issues for some:

1) beach sand is a bit rough and water is not clear,
2) noise level caused by kids and their activities,
3) live music from nearby restaurants and night market, which end about 11pm.

Overall, I would recommend this hotel, especially if you are staying with kids.

Very busy modern hotel. Clean, newly renovated, nice clean rooms. Comfy beds, hot showers & felt safe. Great location with 2min walk to Bophut Beach, shops & restaurants. Fishermans night markets are under 5min walk and are a must see on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays from 5pm.
Cons - lots of young children & families in the pool daily. The rooms walls are quite thin & can hear some noisy families. Very busy & bit chaotic at breakfast.
Overall really loved it & would stay here again. Avoid if you don’t like noisy kids.

Great property unfortunately they closed the kids pool and playground for maintenance the week we were there.

Location is fantastic the beach in that area though is so so the sand is pretty rough. Kids will have a blast with the kids playroom and I’m sure once the pool and playground open up it will be even better.

Amazing brand new hotel in great location

We recently enjoyed a weeks stay at the Holiday Inn and were pleasantly surprised by everything. The hotel is brand new, very clean and facilities are great especially for us travelling with a 2 year old. The rooms are comfortable, well sound proofed and dark. We had a room with pool access which i would recommend for people with kids. The location is great, a 2min walk to the Fisherman's Village with lots of restaurants, spas etc. Staff were extremely friendly and they loved our daughter. The kids soft play area is amazing so new and clean and the kids pool area is lots of fun. We have already booked to come back in March and even extended our stay. However there is only one thing they could improve on which is the breakfast buffet, the choice is not too big and they always seemed to run out of fruit. If they are able to improve on this it would be perfect. Thank you very much for our stay and we will see you in March 2023!

Lovely new hotel with excellent facilities

Lovely hotel with excellent beds in a stylish fully provided room with good sound proving. We slept very well. The hotel is perfectly situated to enjoy the buzz of the Fisherman’s Village and the beach activities. We have older kids who enjoyed the gym. Families with young children seemed to be especially catered for. Lovely place.

Dit is de ideale hotel voor families met jonge kinderen. Als je aankomt, dan weet en voel je ook meteen waarom. Er zijn veel (meestal betalende) activiteiten en opties om je jonge kinderen bezig mee te houden. Hotel ligt aan het begin van een leuk straatje paralel aan het strand waar alles te doen is: coco’s tam, night market, shops, massages, laundry, fishermans villege. Ook is het kort bij de pier waar alle bootexcursies beginnen. Eigenlijk de ideale plek.

Geen aanrader als je rust wilt of zonder kinderen bent.

昨年子連れで海側のスイートに泊まって今年２回目のステイ。前回は通りの音楽が昼から夜までうるさくて寝付けなかったので、今回は子連れでキッズエリア前のスイートに3泊しました。控えめにいって最高でした。まず、送迎、フロント、荷物係、レストランスタッフの対応がまず素晴らしく、施設も部屋の内装も快適＆清潔で子連れには最高過ぎました。スライダー付きのキッズプールや室内、屋外のプレイグランドは部屋の目の前で何時間も遊びました。メインプールも広く、永遠に娘と泳ぎました。ホテルの海側の通りに出るとお洒落な飲食店が立ち並び、毎晩のファイアーショーやマーケットで賑わっていて、お散歩や夜のお出かけもとても楽しめました。さらに、ホテルの朝食もフレッシュでメニューが多く且つ美味しく、娘はドーナツを私はチキンスープと大好きなマンゴーとパパイヤをおかわりしまくりました。3泊では足りなかったので、また同じ部屋で1週間は滞在したいです。

Wir waren leider nur 5 anstatt der geplanten 9 Tage im Holiday Inn, werden aber auf jeden Fall wiederkommen! Für Familien mit Kindern ist dieses Hotel einfach ein Traum. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit „Playground Access“ (direktem Zugang zum Spielplatz) und das war für uns Gold wert. Unsere Kinder konnten einfach zum Spielen rauslaufen, ohne dass wir sie ständig begleiten mussten, da alles sicher und schnell erreichbar war. So konnte ich ganz entspannt auf der Terrasse meinen Kaffee trinken, während die Kids ihren Spaß hatten. Auch der Zimmerservice war super! Die Lage des Hotels ist ebenfalls fabelhaft: Viele Märkte sind fußläufig erreichbar und tolle Restaurants gibt es direkt vor der Tür. Uns hat es rundum sehr gut gefallen!
