We had a lovely stay here in April. The staff are all very attentive from the reception staff, cleaners, waiters and the pool staff all making sure everything is as perfect as it can be for your stay. The breakfast was very good with a nice touch being barista made drinks. The pool was very warm and well maintained with comfortable sunbeds. The pool staff did a great job of providing pool towels and setting up your sunbeds and umbrellas for you (by the pool or on the beach!) The rooms are starting to slightly show their age however they are all well maintained with lots of amenities and a massive comfortable bed.

Location was perfect, quiet hotel, but close to the Fisherman's Village (lots of trendy restaurants, shopping, night market. Food for all pockets.
The beach in front of the hotel is almost like a pool. Lots of space for sun bathing at the beach and at the beautiful pool area. The restaurant has a gorgeous view to the sea. Breakfast was excellent. The rooms are very clean and the staff will go beyond to please you. We will definitely be back.

This resort truly deserves a 5-star rating. The grounds are spotless and beautifully maintained, and the staff are exceptionally attentive, always going above and beyond to ensure a great stay.
We were initially booked in a Deluxe Room with a jetted tub, which was private and had a large lanai, though it felt a bit dark with limited natural light. The next day we upgraded to a villa near the pool, and it was well worth it. The price was very reasonable, the space was bright and spacious, and the staff made the transition effortless, our bags were moved and we were notified by the pool when the room was ready.
The resort sits on a peaceful and scenic stretch of beach in a bay, when the water is calm its prefect for paddle boarding. The water does get deep quickly and the sand is coarser than other beaches, making it less ideal for small children. Chaweng Beach, which we visited on a day trip, had much finer and softer sand.
Breakfast at the resort was fantastic with plenty of options and beachfront seating. For dinner, Sala Thai is a must, fine dining at a reasonable price and romantic atmosphere. Plan ahead, as it’s only open on select days and requires reservations.
Fisherman’s Village is just a short walk away along the beach or street, which was very convenient. We also booked a private four-hour island tour through the hotel for 800 baht, excellent value, with a customized route and a driver who doubled as our photographer.
Loved our stay and would highly recommend it!

Room was comfortable - beds were great, Thai inspired decor. Beautiful gardens surrounded this peaceful paradise. Won’t hesitate to go back

This was a very lovely hotel stay, i would definitely consider coming back and recommending it to my friends & family.

We were able to arrange hotel transfer from the airport which made transportation super easy.

The resort location is perfect with direct access to the beach with many available activities like kayaking and paddle boarding. You can lounge by the beach or enjoy their beautifully well maintained pool. Plenty of delicious food options nearby, massage spas and fisherman village for nightlife.

Among all the hotels ive seen, this had to be the most perfect pool so far. The water temperature was perfect, the chlorine levels were not strong, and staff always maintained its cleanliness not only in the pool but the surrounding areas.

The staff were extremely welcoming and very attentive. They always made your room twice, once in the morning and again in the evening to get you ready for bed. I love the attention to detail like closing the blinds, removing the decoration pillows, adding our slippers to our bedsides, and making the room smell good.

I only wish the breakfast had more variety, we found ourselves only going once throughout our 3 night stay.

Additionally, the pillows I wish were more firm as we didn’t get the most restful sleep.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Bo Phut Hotel. The staff were amazing – so friendly, kind, attentive, and genuinely caring, which really made our stay special. The location is fantastic, peaceful and quiet, yet right on the beach.

We stayed in a Garden Villa which was beautiful, spacious, and very well maintained. Toiletries were provided and replenished daily, along with bottled water, and there were lots of thoughtful little touches that made it feel extra comfortable.

The pool area was lovely and relaxing – no need to rush for sunbeds as there were always plenty available. The sunbeds themselves were super comfy, and towels were already laid out for us which was a really nice touch.

It’s only about a 10-minute walk to Fisherman’s Village, either along the beach or by road, which was perfect for evenings out. There’s no entertainment at the hotel, but we actually liked that as it kept things peaceful and gave us the chance to explore the area.

Overall, Bo Phut Hotel is a fantastic choice for both couples and families looking for a relaxing beachfront getaway. We would definitely recommend it and look forward to returning!

We had a great time in Bi Phut resort. It is a very beautiful place, with great helpful staff, quiet beach and gorgeous flora. It almost feels like you stay at the botanical garden, so special thanks to the gardening team!

Hard to come up with the downsides, but I guess prices for some services are a bit expensive comparing to the alternative options around the resort, like SPA and airport transfer

We loved our stay at Bo Phut- we had garden plunge pool Vila which was beautiful. An amazing resort, quiet, extremely friendly staff, a fantastic breakfast buffet with very attentive staff. A nice pool with friendly staff and very on the beach so you have options for both! A quick walk to the fisherman’s village or locally for meals and drinks which makes it very convenient. We would definitely come back in the future!

Breakfast was a highlight including fresh-cooked Thai options.

Location is convenient if you want to pop to the shops, to other restaurants or resorts.

Only negative I can think is that the gym is a little dated and hot but not really an issue

We had a wonderful stay. The staff were so nice and helpful, the pool was beautiful, with some sun beds overlooking the beach. There were balls in the pool for people to use and paddle boards and kayaks on the beach to use. I had a wonderful facial. It is also brilliantly located for the Fisherman’s village. A short easy walk along the road or a shorter slightly less easy walk along the sand. The advantage of being a little way down the beach is tranquility.

An ocean of tranquility in a popular resort

We stayed five nights here in April 2023 and were delighted to be offered a free upgrade to a garden villa which was massive and very close to the pool/beach.

The grounds are lovely as is the large pool and although the road outside is very busy, once inside the grounds of the property you’re in a totally different world.

Our only slight gripe is in regard to catering. The breakfast choice is more limited than in many other Thai hotels whilst the evening menu though very competitively priced could have offered tastier Thai food - a shame as the view over the sea is stunning.

However there’s a plethora of other local restaurants nearby or at the Fishermen Village (about 15 mins on foot) and there’s a handy 7/11 just down the road.

Overall we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Booked as a 6 day end of island hopping treat. The place is absolutely amazing. Lovely layout, beautiful gardens and right on a private beach. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Chilled 15 min stroll along the beach to the lively fisherman's village. There are also some shops and bars in the immediate area. Highly recommended and would definitely return.

All the staff is very friendly except a bad experience at the day bed provided by the hotel at the beach.

We went to use the day bed by the beach. After we settle down and put our things, a hotel staff, Mal, came over with a European guest. He said the day bed was reserved for that lady as she came in the morning. But when we came, the day bed was neat and clean and obviously no one had occupied it. We told Mal that we understand that the hotel has no policy of reservation and usage of daybed is based on first come first serve. But he was relentless. We didn’t want to argue or create a big scene that will spoil our holiday. So we decide to give up the day bed and change to another one which the lady could have jolly well did the same.

I have feedback to the front office staff, Nick when we check out that we felt this is a racial bully! And it makes us felt that Asian are not welcome and treated unfairly in this hotel. As confirmed by Nick, there is no reservation policy for daybed.

I hope the management can look into this as this is really an unfair treatment to any Asian guest.

This was our second stay at Bo Phut and it was as lovely as the first. The quality of the food and service was very good with a relaxed atmosphere round the pool. There are plenty of alternative dining options within a 5-10minute walk of the hotel. It was great to see that things were getting back to normal post pandemic. The gifts we received on leaving were a lovely surprise. In all this is a great place if you want to relax but still have the all the buzz that Fisherman’s Village offers within walking distance.

We couldn’t have been happier with our week at this beautiful resort, a genuine Thai experience perfectly situated on a gorgeous beach. Though a short walk to fabulous restaurants, shops and the markets at Fisherman’s Village and plenty to do/see in close proximity, the resort was wonderfully relaxing and quiet. Our Garden Villa was beautifully appointed, the staff was friendly and helpful in arranging anything we needed and provided exceptional service. Our breakfasts and lunches were fresh and fantastic overlooking the Gulf. If I could award 5 stars I’d happily do so. Thank you for an amazing week! We can’t wait to return soon!

Thai Hospitality, Absolutely beautiful hotel and immaculate and impeccable. Staff goes above and beyond. The attention to detail, beautiful beach and pool. Flowers everywhere, the scents in the room. The welcome drink and cold towels that smell of Jasmine. The spa where I had an avocado hair treatment. We have been going to Thailand for many years and most hotels have lost the Thai feeling. We could have stayed longer!
Beautiful grounds and a nice pool right by the beach and easy enough walking distance to fisherman village.
We would definitely stay again (especially if the restaurant can change the music every now and again as that did get a bit monotonous after a few days!

It’s a smaller scale resort which has been developed very consciously. All houses are surrounded by green and close to the sea and the pool.
The staff is very friendly, skilled and helpful you feel very welcome!
The spa is a recommendation as well, very professional and skilled staff. You can safe a few bucks by going outside but the extra spend is worth it!!
The location is very nice as a few minutes walk over the beach brings you to Bo Phut Fisherman’s village which has some great restaurants nad the best beach club at the island: Coco Tams!
We will definitly recommend this to friends and family!!

Absolute hands down 10/10 experience. The resort was beautiful, clean, and had a fantastic location. We stayed here for 3 nights as part of our honeymoon and we loved every second. Direct access to the beach, our own jacuzzi tub and great breakfast. The location of this resort was amazing since you could walk right down the beach to the Fisherman's village. Lots of great local restaurants and awesome nightlife. Make sure you go when they have the night market because it's one of the best around. I highly recommend this resort to anyone!

Gym/ yoga classes didn’t tend to happen as advertised. Breakfast is nice. Attention to rooms is good with the nightly mosquito prevention routine. Guest services staff very helpful.

First class resort. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and attentive. The landscaping and ponds are beautiful.

The breakfast buffet is first class. The fresh fruit selection was great along with western, Asian and other breakfast options.

There is plenty of seating poolside and beachside and the staff are around to provide you with a cold drink or anything else you need while you enjoy the pool and/or beach.

We highly recommend this resort and would happily return.

Excellent resort with fantastic service

I cannot say enough good things about this resort. I was travelling as a solo woman and from the moment I arrived the service was fantastic. The staff are all so welcoming and friendly and literally could not have done any more for me.
The rooms are excellent - well furnished, great bathroom, huge bed, tv, mini bar, safe. The resort is not huge but is well laid out for privacy. The Thai restaurant is highly recommended as the food quality is fantastic. Plenty of beds round the pool and on the beach, which is pleasantly quiet bar the odd polite hawker.
The spa is also excellent if you fancy a classier environment than one of the many street massage salons.
15 minute walk either via the beach or main road to the Fishermans Village and an easy taxi ride from the airport.
Highly recommend anyone to stay here (and i travel ALOT globally!).

Very clean and beautiful. Staff was super friendly and kind, would go through great extent to make sure you have a wonderful experience. My only complaint is that they treated me so well, I was instantly depressed upon leaving. I am already making plans to return.

Most insulting check-out in 20 yrs

Up until check-out, I would have given this hotel a 4/5 rating. The location was decent and the cleaning and restaurant staff were professional. I did not like the inside deals one needed to make to gain access to certain lounge chairs (even though they were supposed to be first-come, first-serve), nor the constant prying questions about traveling solo. After spending a very large amount of cash to stay here, one young staff member kept making rude comments during check-out about my consumption of four beers in my final 24 hrs at the hotel; despite telling him that I found this insulting, he kept on harassing me during the whole process. Frankly I was there on a short vacation and many people who visit Thailand consume way more booze than I do. Anyway, I just found the whole situation to be completely disrespectful and upon informing the hotel of my anger, I received only a standard copy/paste apology (like they will probably post after reading this review). There are many other high-end resorts in Koh Samui, do yourself a favor and give them a try instead of Bo Phut. It is only about money with this resort, and the least they could do is hide their disdain for foreigners.

Beautiful garden makes the hotel seem very quiet and peaceful , set well back from the busy road . Although the sea frontage is quite small the pool and main restaurant have fantastic views of the bay and there are loungers on the beach as well as by the pool where you are looked after by the hotel staff .
Only a couple of the villas have views of the sea but all the others are set in perfectly maintained gardens and are very private .
All the staff are incredibly friendly and nothing is too much trouble .
This is a boutique hotel which is happy to have children staying but it is relatively small and I think we might have felt less comfortable if we had brought our teenage boys as well as our daughter or indeed have had a less restful stay if lots of children had been staying .
Having said that the hotel does provide table tennis and table football and you can ask the staff to arrange a multitude of activities .
The hotel is also a short walk from the Fisherman’s village with restaurants , shops and spa and massage centres . There is a night market every evening and a massive one on a Friday which can get crowded .
