It was like a fancy hotel. Clean overall but a lot of the hidden areas were not. Like underneath the bed. The floors had some questionable stains and sheets too. I think it was because it's not like an actual hotel and more of a mom and pop thing.

I’m giving this place 3 stars because one of the pools assigned to our building was green and closed when we arrived. Unfortunately, it was never cleaned or repaired during our entire one-week stay. The water in the other two pools was also very cloudy and looked dirty.

The room itself was clean, but there were several issues. Be careful with the bathroom door because it can get stuck from the outside. The bathroom didn’t have a sink, so we had to wash our hands in the shower. We didn’t feel comfortable washing our hands in the kitchen sink since it was right next to the bathroom, which we really didn’t like.

The cookware was also in very poor condition. All of the pots were badly scratched, so I couldn’t use them and had to buy a new pot during our stay.

Overall, I don’t highly recommend this place.

This is one of the biggest cases of false advertising I have ever experienced.

Hire the photographer, don’t book the hotel. Maybe one building that we never saw looks like these photos, we could just see it from ours. There are 12 buildings, 1 (maybe) is renovated.

Bed bugs, musky mold smell, outdated. Dirty sheets. A sink clog and a sink full of strangers hair. Kids heard running all night.

A 3 am checkout in the middle of nowhere in the mountains so we didnt get sick. There was nowhere else to go after. No refund, no acknowledgment of the photos shared with expedia support. Plus a refusal by them to refund Expedia as well.

Not sure why Expedia would even host this place.

Spoke to locals at dinner elsewhere. This was always it’s reputation. They took new photos and polished a turd.

Although this resort has clearly been remodeled it still feels like a dingy motel. The beds and pillows were horribly uncomfortable, the bathroom had a strong smell of mildew and mold, the light fixtures/fans were noisy, the blinds hardly covered the windows so it always felt like someone could see inside. We actually left a day early for home because we’re just done with the place.

I absolutely loved this place.
It was recently purchased by new owners in the last couple of years I believe.
And the improvements have been wonderful.
The only thing I didn’t find that could be more up to par, the pool bar is lovely but not stocked as well as it could be with proper ice makers and blenders and it needs fans for the hot days and music. I kept waiting for it to open on the Dunday that I spent the whole day there , but it never did.
The out door pavilion with the fire pit wasn’t very clean with stained furniture and could have used a good sweeping and the all the spider webs really need to be knocked down.
It’s a wonderful place and I’m pleased to see it improved. I just hope it remains consistent.
The room was very clean and I enjoyed the balcony.
I would definitely stay here again.

As far as our room trash was only emptied once in our room 1 time in three days no beds made. And ants were every where. There were ants at different times crawling on me in the bed , but I did not know it was a noted problem that they knew about. I killed those 3 ants and the I seen 2 in the shower killed those. Then went to bed and my gf. Found ants traps in the floor.this place is a very nice place and the price was good but we could have done with out the ants.

My tv did not work either night I was there. I reported it the morning following my first night and they said they would fix it. Still didn’t work the second night. Also the building I was in was 20-30 feet from a road. I was not aware of this when I booked. If I ever book again I will specify the location of the room as well as verify that the tv works. The Tremont is centrally located to everything you would want to do. The staff was very friendly and tried to help with my issues.

This property has obviously been refurbished recently! The peaceful nature themed interior decor was beautiful and the wood furniture offered plenty of storage. Thoughtful details like additional shelving in closet area and the Keurig coffee maker were nice. There are plenty of amenities such as multiple pools, a playground, and outdoor movie screen that would be great for entertaining kids.

The staff helped us with late check in procedures. When we needed hand soap, the cleaning staff delivered it and also refreshed our room even though we weren’t scheduled for a cleaning that day. The room was meticulously clean and I’m very particular about cleaning.

Be aware the bathroom is rather small, but nicely redecorated. The breakfast was continental, but also offered microwave grits and oatmeal, as well as boiled eggs. It met our basic needs, but The Pancake House is just across the street for a more extensive meal.

We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Cade’s Cove!

Good pricing with good accommodations. Beds were comfy and suite was spacious. Amenities were nice, there is an outdoor movie theater but I was not able to locate a schedule or what movies would be playing or when. There is a secret \"speakeasy\" which was neat.

The bads tho; we rented a suite with a sofa bed for people that needed to sleep on it. There was absolutely no bedding. There was no one working at the lodge all day because it was a holiday. I get maybe limited staff but every hotel that's open at least has someone. I messaged and was told that this would be a top priority first thing in the morning. Three days later as we are checking out, there is still no bedding. Some priority! The tub also held water so you're taking a shower in inches of water which I most certainly did not enjoy. There was also an almost constant clicking noise reminiscent of a leaky dripping faucet but we could not find what it was that made noise all day and all night.
Would I stay here again despite this? Maybe. Because the room was nice with no bugs and the lodge grounds and amenities are nice.

I did call the front desk to see if they could make it hot and a maintenance guy went up and supposedly adjusted the water heater from medium to high but the water in my room never got hotter over my stay which was not good. And there's mold in the bathroom grout and the shower curtain was dirty. I did get a replacement on my first day for this shower curtain.

The curtains barely covered the window, so I felt people could look into our room on the 1st floor. The breakfast was poor, the room for breakfast was very small and not tidied. I really had great expectations for Tremont. The pictures looked great. Was told that the rooms were newly renovated. The room appearance was acceptable. The fine details turned the stay into a nightmare. The first problem was our tub would not drain. No phone or number in the room to call and report. Finally found a number in the check in sheet only to find out it was to a call center. Probably in Asia. We were assured it would be taken care of. Second day and tub still was not fixed. I attempted to fix it myself. Drain was clogged with hair. I was unable to completely clear the drain. Third day the cleaning staff did not leave any toilet paper. I called three times to no avail. Fourth day i went to the office and explained all the problems. Lady gave us toilet paper and sent maintenance to fix the drain. Had staff appropriately responded, this might be a positive review. I would avoid this place if at all possible.

Early check in fee. Shortly after booking we were contacted by staff to ask about time of arrival. They offered for an early check in but she failed to mention there was an early check in fee of $25. It wasn’t until I arrived to check in that I was told about the fee. I never requested an early check in but was offered one. I would have been happy to pay the $25 had I been given this information prior to showing up. Hopefully this was a communication misshap rather than a deliberate attempt to get an extra $25.

There were neat little surprises everywhere we turned. The game room had a hidden speakeasy room that was fun to discover. There was a gas fire pit, and the one we preferred was the wood/log fire pit with a nightly movie playing just beside it. We got to enjoy the movie while cozied up beside the fire pit. We also were very surprised to finally have turndown service provided. Thought this was all but a lost service at most places we've stayed at. It was a pleasant surprise to come back to emptied trash bins and a made bed turned down and ready. Wow!

A good stay, if you’re not in one of the upgraded rooms it is a bit tired, you can see the areas that they’ve started renovating and these are much smarter, I’m sure it’ll all be like that soon but for now definitely pick upgraded if you want it to have the feel of the hotel images, otherwise you may feel that you’re in a different hotel! Price wise it was still decent, I just felt a bit misled by the images.
