I reserved and checked in this hotel, and it was the biggest mistake. The room was filthy. The bathroom wasn’t even cleaned. Live and dead bugs on the windowsill and on the floor. The sheets had sporadic black dots on it, don’t know if that’s an indication of bedbugs. Didn’t want to take a chance. Tried to get my money back- the manager was conveniently never there to work out a refund. Hotels.com was no help in this process either. So I found another hotel down the street that I had to spend another $300 on my vacation. Stay away! You’ve been warned…

Wonderful place to stay! I frequent Townsend many times throughout the year and will definitely stay here again! The property is well maintained, and the room was clean and comfortable. I loved the balcony too! I love the location-so close to everything including the greenway! The staff was so warm and welcoming. Thank you for the wonderful stay and I will definitely book with you the next time I visit.

We loved it here. It’s so close to Cades Cove which is why we came to TN to begin with. We plan on staying here in the future. Close to Cades Cove and away from all the busy tourist areas like the other hotels, etc.

Nice quiet place. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Nothing fancy, but everything you need. I did appreciate the individual dehumidifier in our room because it did get humid and it made a huge difference. We had stayed a night in Kentucky and everything felt wet. Even the sheets and I think it was from the high humidity level. We did not have that issue here. The setting is beautiful however, the “Mountain View“ room really isn’t a Mountain View because there are trees that block your view, but it was still very nice. The rocking chairs on the patio of each room was a really nice touch. Would definitely stay here again.

Close to park. Nice pool. Room was nice sized, but the bathroom was older and a little bit icky.
There was a dehumidifier in the room and the air conditioner and between the two of them they were very noisy. I thought the price was high for what it was.

Travel to Cades Code and the Smoky Mountains

We wanted lodging closer to Cades Cove and the Townsend River Breeze Inn was. It is an older but very quaint establishment. The beds were very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

I loved being at the hotel, the rooms was clean and I do a check for bed bugs found none not one! View was great. The house keeper was there and I told her about the microwave smelling like burnt wires she called and changed it out. She was really nice joked and went on with us.

It was an ok hotel, nothing special. I don't understand why we received a handicap accessible room, especially when there was no other tenants in our building. We checked in about 6 something on the 7th unpacked and went to The Abby for dinner came back wall unit didn’t work we were tired and went to bed, next day my wife told the office in the morning by time we got baWould we stay again, not sure depending on other prices in the area, or cabins. Just for the rate it was just ok. Nothing fabulous for 223.00 dollars. ck the night of the 8th they had it fixed.

This is a really cute motor lodge-style motel in a beautiful area. Some of the amenities feel outdated (bathroom), but the room was very clean. The bed, however, was horribly uncomfortable. Price felt steep but seemed comparable to other lodging nearby.

This motel was very cozy and affordable. I wasn't sure about having an exterior corridor, but the location eased my mind. The cleaning crew did a fantastic job and the lady at the front desk was delightful. Townsend is the best kept secretbin the Smokies.

This was a lovely little place to stay and I'll definitely recommend it. The staff were helpful and friendly, the room was cozy, and I loved the rocking chairs. My only complaint is that the night we stayed a group of people were outside, near our door, talking very loudly for about an hour.

We love this little gem! My son and I look forward to staying here whenever we get to the mountains and we had a great time once again! The rooms are nice--spacious, clean, and comfortable. The upper pool is our new favorite spot now that we realized it's heated!! We hadn't used it before but we really loved it after a day in the park! We didn't want to come home and my son asked the whole way if we could just go back to the hotel!!

Greay stay!

Better than ecpected and great hospitality. I reallly liked the room and the view and it was very reasonable for the area and so close to cades cove tje swimming hole and the underground caverns.

We stay at the Riverbreeze every time we take a trip to the smokies, we are avid hikers and you can’t get any closer to the National Park. Clean, quiet, and wonderful staff.

We stayed for 7 days. Housekeeping only cleaned our room once, the other times we had to ask for towels and trash removal. The owners are very nice and helpful! We will be back again. Just hope the housekeeping situation is better our next visit.

Wonderful hotel

Perfect location close to everything. Super clean and newly updated rooms. Definitely the best hotel of the vacation. No it’s not a resort. But superbly decorated and amazing location. Loved it and sent name to relatives who would also enjoy. Sharing with friends.

Favorite place to stay in the area. We have been coming here for almost 3 years now and every time is perfect. Rooms are extremely clean, and the facility is very quiet and peaceful. We frequent the National
Park for hiking and this place is about the closest you can get to it. 10/10 would recommend!!
