I can’t rate this place high enough.

1. It’s been the cleanest hotel I’ve stayed in NZ (I’m a bit of a clean freak) and not even expensive fancy hotels ever make it to my standards, this place was spotless.

2. We stayed there because we had a family member in the hospital and didn’t know how long they would need to stay there. Staff was SO accommodating with giving us extra time and support for refunding and/rebooking.

3. Staff was so supportive, helpful and kind.

It made a HUGE difference during the hard time our family was having.

Nice spacious apartment with everything we needed. Service was excellent. I was very impressed as you dont get this level at a 5 star. The down side is it is not double glazed so very noisey, right across the road from hospital, helicopter came in. Its fine but i would take ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Good location, close to city with supermarket and food places near by.

I found this to be an excellent experience. My wife had been admitted to Wellington hospital which was just across the road. It was a perfect location for regular visits. The staff were absolutely amazing, super friendly and the room met all my needs. I would highly recommend this hotel particularly for its hospital location.

A Warm and Welcoming Stay

The staff were some of the most helpful people I've ever encountered at a hotel. They went above and beyond to make our stay as welcoming and comfortable as possible. The location is incredibly convenient, especially with the hospital just across the road.

The only downside was the bed size—if you're tall, I wouldn't recommend booking a double room. In saying that, I would absolutely stay here again, especially under similar circumstances. The service and overall experience made a real difference.

Enjoyed our stay at Sojourn. Rooms are spacious and cozy. Staff are welcoming. Also parking at the facility is much easier than Woolies - I’d suggest booking ahead as there are only limited spaces available. Bathrooms were clean and fresh towels stocked everyday. Really impressed by the customised hotel help menu in that smart TV, secure carpark is also automated, and smart AC, would love to stay a bit longer next time. Convenient to Public Transport

The unit had everything you would need for a stress free stay in Wellington. If you are a self caterer, you might want a larger unit. We had the smallest one. Due to its proximity to the hospital, it can be a touch noisy sometimes. The good side of that location is excellent Public Transport options, with stops located within a few meters of the hotel.

The Receptionist was very helpful, helping my wife with her bags, to our room while I parked the car at Countdown. I was able to buy some groceries while there and walk the 2 minutes back. Very comfortable bed and good shower.

Numerous restaurants are situated nearby, as well as a supermarket. Bus stops are very close by. Although the hotel is on a road, the traffic noise at night wasn't too bad. I had to find a hotel on a day when multiple international flights were cancelled because of appalling weather. I was tired and stressed. The people at Sojourn could not have been kinder or more helpful. They welcomed me in, out of the wild weather, and walked me and my cases to my room. Inside was clean and comforting. I highly recommend. This will now be my go-to place in Wellington.

This is an odd place, perhaps designed for people wanting to stay close to hospitalized friends/family (the hospital is across the road). The apartment was clean and neat, but cramped and lightless. The beds were comfortable, but I wouldn’t want to spend much time here. Breakfast was brought on a tray. It was nice with a range of items. Parking was limited and I had to download an app to get into the parking area which was awkward to access enough already being on a very busy street. Difficult to recommend unless you want to be close to the hospital.

I'm really glad I chose this hotel. Soon after booking I received a phone call asking if I'll require car parking, which I did, so they provided details on how to gain access. The staff were excellent and very friendly during check in and check out. Room was tidy and felt like it was brand new. Although the hotel is next to a busy road, I didn't hear any traffic noise. A great location being not far from the CBD, and close to a supermarket and eating places. Would definitely recommend to others, and I'd stay there again.

Great location for travel to the airport, zoo and outside Wellington beaches, and Weta tour location. Quite a far walk to the downtown waterfront. Best to take the bus or uber. Its Right on a very busy street across from the hospital, but quiet at night. Just tricky to access the parking if you have a car Great staff...kitchen well equiped. The beds very comfortable.

We enjoyed our stay at the Sojourn Riddiford.

The bed was very comfortable. The room was of newer decor and very nice. There was a Keurig and also a microwave that didn't appear to work. The check-in was fine once we settled the confusion of traveling with another couple. The area seemed a little rough after dark but we found a nice place to eat in the morning in the shops nearby.

We would stay here again. Very handy to Wellington Hospital which is straight across the road. The bus service stops right outside. Safe car parking at the back of the building.
The staff are absolutely delightful, helpful and very friendly.
The rooms are spotless. Everything we required was there.

Good Accommodations, but don't get a street unit

We were very happy to find these accommodations at the last minute, as our previous reserved accommodations were sorely lacking on many aspects and we felt unsafe there. The only draw-back to getting the last unit was that is was on the street. As a result, there were times late at night that discussions on the street were loud and clear, as well as, the gate to the complex opened/closed at our unit.

The property was good for our needs. However when we arrived the beds were not arranged as requested. I made an international phone call to the property when they left me a message at home asking for the bed configuration. They were willing to change it the next morning because they couldn’t do it that evening because of our late arrival. We just used it the way it was due to only staying one more night.
