Immaculate clean room, very efficient staff, quick check in. Great location, but be aware that parking garage ( if you use it) is VERY tight. Even with a small SUV we were manoeuvring carefully to get round corners.

Wonderful bed, great bathroom great view .

We had a Studio Apartment which had all we needed, inc fridge, pots, cutlery etc etc, all new and spotless. Only observation was that there was only one chair.

We didn’t use the restaurant but it looked good value.

I would definitely recommend and visit again.

Location is convenient to the Te Papa and the waterfront....really to most of the city. But it is not in the best part of town....lots of stores boarded up, homeless sleeping in store fronts. But we never felt unsafe. Food places near-by are primarily take-away. Rooms are rather drab. Curtains were stained and ripped. Staff was friendly and efficient at check-in.

The hotel rooms were new, comfortable and clean. The staff were for the most part friendly - particularly those when I checked out. However, the hotel policy is to nickel and dime you for everything. They wanted to charge extra for checking out at 11, to have your room serviced, and for fast internet. Also, although I always felt safe, the location left something to be desired. There were strip clubs all around and some “interesting” characters always hanging around outside.

The restaurant staff were mostly very friendly and kind but one younger make staff member on the cash register was hostile and disinterested when we went to pay for our meals. We dined in the restaurant twice and would have gone back but he ruined our stay. He needs a customer service refresher course!!

We stayed one night at the Oaks Wellington, the hotel is located in city center making it easy to explore everything. the staff were super friendly and accommodating, they allowed us to park and check in early so we could explore the city. They also upgraded us to a city view room. Room was clean and nice with complimentary tea in the room. The breakfast was amazing, one of the best breakfasts I had in New Zealand large spread with lots of options. Great stay, will stay here again when in Wellington

We booked this room in the middle of Wellington because the gold membership included free self parking but when checking in they didn’t honour that so we parked elsewhere. Very disappointed as that was one of the reasons for choosing it and especially annoying when they tried to charge us for their parking we didn’t use on check out. Check in was very slow but the room turned out to be fine

It's close to museums, various cafes, restaurants, art galleries, and vibrant nightlife, making it a fantastic urban retreat at an affordable price. Great location, really handy to St James Theatre. However I'd expect more for the price

I read so many comments able the parking and I wouldn't park there again. Due to a vehicle parked by a down ramp it was near impossible to get down a ramp and this could have been mildly better if that parking site in particular has been for a small car only.

The bed was super comfy!

Hotel was very pleasant. Was quieter than I thought it would be since right in the heart of Wellington’s night life. The breakfast was great and the staff were very attentive and polite. Also note, if you want drinks delivered to your room, it’s a $5 delivery fee. That was a first for me lol Other than that, nice place to stay if your having night out in the city.

We only stayed one night but found the hotel was convenient to most of the inner city things we had planned.
Room was an internal one (no window) but for 1 night that was fine. Room was clean, bed comfortable and bathroom spacious. Parking was self-parking in house (very tight/tiny parks but adequate).
Had some issues with check-in - slow due to only 1 staff member on and some computer issues but checkout was very fast.
Overall we would recommend this hotel and would stay again.

The room was okay. The bed was nice, and the shower is great.
It was quite noisy when other rooms were having a shower.
The booking said free parking, but that is not true.
Parking is $25/night, but only if you have a little car.
If you drive an SUV, even a small one, there is no room to park here.
They will direct you to Taranaki St parking. Very close, and reasonably priced for an overnight stay.

Great stay, always lovely staff and food and clean. Only small complaint is the tables in the room are not a good height to work at in an office desk capacity. I work from my room in between meetings and it can get uncomfortable. If there is a desk height table on request that would be amazing.

Lovely stay at the Oaks Wellington Hotel. Such a great location which made it so easy to get around either walking or using the bus. Easy walking to Te Papa Museum and shopping locations. The check-in staff were so helpful and friendly and made us feel so welcome. The room was very nicely appointed and comfortable. Would certainly stay again!

Room was perfect, bed very comfortable and the shower was great. Noise from street, nightclubs and bars was annoying when trying to sleep and the outside entrance filled with homeless people wow culd not believe to see this problem has gotten worse. Carpark tried to book this in advance and was told this was not an option as first in and had to look for a park elsewhere.

Nice, but needs some repairs!

The room was nice, we had a free upgrade too. The shower, however, was a bit of a nightmare, its pole kept slipping off the wall, a nd it lacks a door on the shower stall. This would be okay, but the floor sloped back toward the room carpet, rather than the drain. Earthquake damage? They gave us extra bathmats and were quite nice about it... but here it is!

Check in was ok. I had breakfast included that was not mentioned to me when I checked in, it was just when I checked the app and then asked them that they then said yes it was included. Room was basic but fine. Room suits a solo traveller only or a couple. There were only basic channels to watch but can log into all your streaming services if needed. I had the room with no housekeeping but had to get fresh towels every day as there really wasn’t anywhere to hang your towels. There was a towel rack in the room but it only holds one towel and it was over the vanity unit so the towel bunched up on the vanity.

Great place with minor attention needed

Loo needs scrub brush. Perhaps dish I will be back later in the year. To stay. Rooms hold their heat well. Even with a heat pump on cold.. I'll stay I different room next time being next to the staff pantry was a bit on the loud side. Good value for money
