Stayed for 2wks for work. Very central, stones throw from some great food options. Staff are great. Hotel is exactly what you want. Cards for rooms and lifts constantly flake out which can be quite frustrating but reception are always friendly and efficient when resolving the problem.

I appreciated how spacious it was, and my window view. But the walls were thin and young people were partying loud on Saturday night. The room was old, dated. Dining table wasn’t sturdy and wobbled, bathroom trash didn’t open, only a few sky TV channels worked, and my bathroom sink was covered in someone else’s hair when I arrived. The shower was also covered in hair. Not the cleanest and the bed was uncomfortable, gave me back pain.

Friendly staff, nice sized gym, and downtown was a relatively easy walk. They offered fresh milk and plenty of tea bags and instant coffee packs. Included a microwave and small refrigerator.

Rooms are tired. Surprisingly much smaller than expected. Pillows were awful, worst I've ever had tbh, which was a shame because the bed was very comfortable. And the curtains have moths damage, again a first I've ever seen in a hotel room
Location is perfect for easy commute around the city centre. Reception staff so friendly and welcoming. Housekeeping very accommodating. Price reflects its central location.

The room was clean and tidy, the staff well all friendly and courteous and the hotel was in a great location. You could take the elevator straight down to Lampton Quay. However car parking was a little pricey. Also, I like to watch a little TV before going to sleep, unfortunately the TV wasn't working properly. Apart from those two minor faults, I was quite happy with my stay.

Regarding room upgrade, the room we received looked like what we booked (deluxe king), so I'm not sure we got an upgrade.
Also, please tell clients about elevator access to level 1 for easier access to Lambden Quay. We discovered that on our own halfway through our reservation. It's easier and safer.

Room was clean, comfy beds. Had a microwave and a neat drawer with plates, cutlery, a tea towel even washing up liquid and a corkscrew. Restaurant is not great, it serves a basic menu. Luckily you can exit the hotel via the ground floor, turn left and walk down the steps and you start to see the first of many eateries on the way into the centre.
We were on the 12th floor. The room was toastie and no air con, opened the window but that’s only good if it isn’t blowing a gale.

My only complaint with this hotel was the incconvenient entrance - right in the middle of a high rise carpark. You actually have to walk inside the carpark building to find the entrance. I arrived on foot and walked right past the entrance because every other hotel I have ever stayed at had an entrance on the street and was clearly sign-posted as such. Apart from that, everything very good - a clean and quiet room, a good cafe for breakfast, just a minute's walk from the lower entrance to Lambton Quay.

Staff on arrival were not bothered - we had made a request three times and the hotel reservations team never responded. When I questioned this at reception I was told that’s reservations they don’t work here (as though im suppose to know that). We had booked a king room and was given two single rooms. Room was basic. Nothing special with simple amenities. You can’t control the aircon it just remains at one temperature the whole time. Hotel rewards said we were suppose to get a bottle of wine with the stay. That never eventuated or offered (false promises). Overall a real disappointment with hotels.com promise and the Travelodge. Very basic and poor service.

The hotel appears to be a retro fitted office building, the restaurant and bar are in an odd location and not very welcoming, the only saving grace was the barman. The rooms are not individually air conditioned and were hot and stuffy, particularly my room which was west facing.
The person on the reception desk that checked us in was fine with us but down right rude to the people in front of us
This is not a hotel I would recommend !!!
