Amazing art collection throughout the premises. Right across the street from the New Zealand Museum…so worth a visit too. Responsive and friendly staff. 3rd floor restaurant was quiet and had GREAT views of the harbor as well as an excellent menu and chef.

Didn’t know there was a beautiful restaurant upstairs but found out in the morning so went there. Breakfast was excellent and loved the decor and view of the ocean. I think the concierge could have been more helpful in educating ourselves with the hotel and surrounding restaurants and activities.

The lobby was beautiful with lots of interesting art.

The room.was clean, but the wall under the air-conditioning had brown splotches. The shower head was broken and the shower overflows into the bathroom. There was dishes from room service outside my room when I checked in and it was still there when I checked out.

Looks like it was a nice room but is now tired.

I wish we have stayed longer. Perfect for family: washer and dryer are a plus! Breakfast included are what we love the most, the swimming pool is great for the kids. The staff are nice and accommodating. Location is good as well. Near the grocery store and the harbor. The museum is literally 2 mins walk. Good stay!

The staff were excellent. The hotel perhaps has lost some of its lustre. I found trying to operate black switches on black walls difficult. The WiFi was good (top marks for Ruckus H-series APs), but the service behind it was patchy at best with frequent speed drops. There was a patch of black mould on the ceiling of our room, which housekeeping dealt with promptly. Bed was comfortable, room lacked a sofa and the golden chair was perhaps the most uncomfortable thing I’ve ever sat on. Show heads need replacing. All in, I’d call it acceptable to good.

The room needed renovation. Tiles in the shower were broken and moved when you stood on them. The toilet flush was loose and needed adjustment. The bathroom door latch was broken. The walls had multiple marks and poor repairs made. Overall it was disappointing for a premium room

We absolutely loved our stay here. Everyone on staff was genuinely kind and welcoming — you feel taken care of from the moment you arrive. The hotel is beautiful, with stunning artwork throughout that makes it feel more like staying in a gallery.

The location is fantastic and makes exploring Wellington easy.

We loved the kitchenette and especially the deep bathtub (it easily fits two!). Having a washer and dryer in the apartment was such a bonus — we just wished it came with simple instructions, but still very much appreciated the convenience.

We didn’t have reservations for the restaurant, so we ended up eating in the bar, which was great as well. Just a heads-up: if you’re hoping to dine in the restaurant, be sure to book ahead — it’s very popular.

A wonderful experience overall and a place we’d happily stay again.

We usually love staying at the QT Museum. This time the air con in our room sounded like it was on its last legs struggling to cool the room and the bed was very soft. We will certainly stay again but this was not our best stay.

Good location to walk to TAB arena. Breakfast had to ask for fresh fruit and fresh pastries to be topped up. Room was showing signs of wear in tear especially around the tiled bath. No extractor fan in the bathroom so window fogged up. Bed and pillow was comfortable. No dressing gown supplied in wardrobes. One very small couch to sit on not big enough for 4x couple's if staying in the 2x bedroom apartment.

The best part was to shower. Don't let others tell you otherwise. To shower was by far the best part of this property. You truly have to experience it to understand what I'm talking about. The worst part of the property are the light switches. Again, this is one of those things you have to experience to understand. But the switches are not where you would think they would be and the things they turn on and off are not what you would expect. I don't know who designed this. But the actual hotel was very nice. The front desk was very nice. The art not so nice. Just kidding it was. The art was a highlight

The staff were, without exception, friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. The foyer, bar area and restaurant were a pleasure to be in with their interesting and wonderful artworks. However, the room we had was tired and felt neglected. It never had all the furniture in it that was shown on the website and what was there was badly positioned in the room. The kitchen area had only two place settings of each item, and their quality was suspect, including the smallest electric jug I've ever seen that struggled to hold enough water for two full mugs. The room was not generous and badly needs a makeover, plus the bed was not great. The restaurant was terrific, the food delicious and the service was good. We would go back for another meal there, but we were disappointed with the room so would stay elsewhere.

Fantastic art-filled hotel - so classy. Excellent location, quiet and safe. Great value too. Plenty of space in the room and a full sized bath. The gym, pool and spa were open until 11.30pm which was amazing.

It’s difficult to find this place! It’s hidden within QT Hotel but there’s nothing advising that.

Lighting is terrible … it’s a dark room with lamp
lighting, so bring a torch!
Bathroom is a very weird configuration and poor drainage meaning water everywhere and wet feet.
All necessary appliances but very limited crockery and cutlery.
Noisy aircon, but fortunately not necessary to leave it turned on.

The museum hotel was so beautiful! Every section a work of art. The ambiance and food were fabulous. My only issue was that my double room had two twin beds pushed together, which ended up actually being more firm and comfy than the other bedroom with a normal bed, which was too soft. Great service and friendly staff. The indoor pool and sauna were also a real treat. Would return!

Good location in Wellington. We stayed in museum apartment room.
However the rooms are tired, chipped and old, shower had broken attachment. there is no double glazing and noise from traffic was terrible. Bed/mattress was old, bouncy and no topper, uncomfortable night sleep.
No coffee maker which is unusual at this price. No robe etc.
pool is ok but hot tub was cold.

Staff on check in unfortunately not welcoming … basic level of service.

This hotel has gone downhill in past 10 years and needs updates if it wants to stay competitive. We would not choose to book again since much better available elsewhere .

Wouldn’t stay at the property again. Staff was not helpful, room is very run down, the tv had 4 channels that barely work spoke to the staff and they told me was nothing they could do. The room facilities does not meet the qualmark start rating. Doesn’t worth the money I paid.
