Nice Hotel, Service Needs Improvement

The hotel was very nice, large rooms, all of the amenities. The staff however, while friendly and aiming to please, were not well trained. The majority seemed very young and inexperienced. When I voiced my concerns with the front desk, they went out of their way to make up for the short-comings.

The most expensive hotel we stayed in during our 10 day trip to Portugal and Spain and it was sub par and not outstanding.

Were informed at check in that we were “upgraded” and then given a room on the busy, noisy road near the loud pool, with a large hedge blocking any view.

Disappointed there were no electrical adapters available and told they were already given to other guests.

We loved our stay at AlmaLusa. The suite was great, spacious, clean and well organized. The breakfast and lunch were totally excellent but my wife is allergic to fish so it would be great if there were more dinner options. Room was cleaned well every day.

The hotel is beautiful, and the staff is very friendly. My only concern—though it wasn’t really a problem—was the size of the room compared to the price. I don’t feel it was worth the cost, but other than that, the place is amazing. I booked the ‘solo room’ (not sure what it was called) with a twin bed.

Beautiful Boutique Hotel in the heart of Comporta

Beautiful boutique hotel right in the heart of Comporta Village. Stylish decor, delicious and varied breakfast beautiful pool, rooms, lobby and rooftop bar. Staff all very friendly and welcoming. Special mention to Sylvia who took the time to take me up to the rooftop to show me Comporta and its history and points of interest. Will definitely return here

The size of the suite with sitting area and kitchen was very spacious and comfortable.

Shower was very tight and shower door could not be shut completely resulting in pool of water on the bathroom floor.

It is paradise! Location to everything you need or want with in steps.
The staff went above and beyond, I wish I remembered everyone’s names but here’s a few Pedro at breakfast, Lara at front desk made a detailed list of things to do on our trip, Giny in the spa gave the most amazing massage in a roof top hut with a fire burning.
Honestly AlmaLusa spa and hotel is an escape that won’t disappoint!!!!!

This is the perfect place for a beach getaway

AlmaLusa was amazingly beautiful. The breakfast was delicious and authentic. The hotel is perfectly located. The staff was beyond helpful. The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated. I could not give this establishment enough stars!!

The only substantial hotel in the centre of Comporta. Nice modern property located in the centre of the village. Very well located and walkable to the shops, restaurants and bars in Comporta.

Was upgraded to a lovely suite with kitchen/living area and bedroom separated by curtain. Large private courtyard area with 4 seater table.

Decent but simple breakfast buffet with fresh eggs available to order. Service very friendly.

Front desk service was friendly but sometimes felt a bit lacking.

Rooftop fitness area is a great space, but few, very basic items...a couple of kettlebells and very light weight dumbbells.

Slight downside is despite Comporta being quiet you could hear everything in the room... a (guest's?) dog barking. Room was located above kitchen and could hear the fans and noise from kitchen.

Great hotel - staff were excellent and the facilities were extremely clean and enjoyable. Just loved it - perhaps the only thing is the bathrooms are beautiful but the flooring could be quite slippery and eliminating the small plastic bottles for toiletries would also be great.

Nice place in small village of Comporta. 👍

If you need to stay in Comporta, this is a very nice hotel. Very clean, comfortable, quiet, and offers nice food services. Breakfast was excellent. Rooftop bar is nice.

I was in the area for golf nearby. I didn’t realize that there literally is next to nothing to do in Comporta. It served my purpose of staying nearby but I would have gone on back into Lisbon that afternoon if I could have. But the hotel has a 7 day cancel policy, so I was locked into payment regardless, and they wouldn’t let me out of it. A bit disappointing but understandable. They have a business to run.

But if you want to be in Comporta and understand how small it is, I absolutely would recommend this hotel. I’m not even sure there is another hotel in town, but I certainly didn’t see anything that looked as nice as AlmaLusa. It’s my fault for not being fully aware of what I was signing up for - I was just looking for the closest place to the golf course I was playing.

The town of Troia is much larger with more options, and a marina and beaches, but it’s another 20 minute drive north.

All depends what you’re looking for.
